When the contestants arrive for the second challenge, Duncan winks a Gwen, only for Gwen to ignore him. Duncan becomes confused.
Confessional:
Gwen: "Ignoring Duncan will hopefully help me with making things right with Courtney."
Confessional ends.
The challenge starts and everyone is digging. Courtney and Trent are digging together.
Trent: "Courtney, I know you're mad but Gwen wants to make amends."
Courtney: "Drop it Trent." She says with annoyance.
Confessional:
Courtney: Trent is a good guy with good intentions, but he needs to stop."
Confessional ends.
Trent finds a piece.
Trent: "Got one."
She shows his hand to Courtney, hoping she will give him a high five. Courtney somewhat smiles and does so.
At some point, Gwen and Trent are digging around the same area, but on opposite ends.
Trent: "Hey Gwen."
Gwen: "Hey Trent." Gwen frowns. "Courtney still hates me?"
Trent: "Yea, but I'm trying to get her to realize you want to make amends."
Gwen smiles.
Gwen: "Thanks Trent."
Confessional:
Gwen: "I like that Trent is trying to help me make amends with Courtney. Hopefully we can be friends." She says smiling, but then frowns. "I wish Duncan was more supportive."
Confessional ends.
The Heroes win the challenge. Courtney starts to walk, but stops when Gwen tries to talk to her, causing Courtney to glare.
Gwen: "Hey Courtney. I want to say congrats on your team-Whoa!"
Gwen steps on a booby trap, causing a trash bag to fly up. Gwen smacks it with her shovel, but it hits Courtney, causing all the trash in the bag to cover her.
Courtney "Ahh!"
Gwen is shocked.
Gwen: "I'm sorry. That was an accident."
Courtney walks away angrily.
Duncan laughs.
Duncan: "Evil." He jokes
Gwen glares at Duncan.
Confessional:
Gwen: "Not cool Duncan."
Confessional ends.
