Chapter Four: Prom Night
Lincoln got into his Mod Suit, straightening his tie up. All his sisters were there to see him off. Lisa had made Lincoln a highly advanced car along with Lana's assistance. Together, they had created an automobile that was likely worth millions of dollars per car. The various cars she made all had the same features. They were just different in shape and in carrying capacity. Lincoln got in the car, driving over to Jordan's house, going up to her door.
"Hey, Jordan… Wow. You look great. I love your dress." Lincoln said. Jordan smiled.
"Yeah. You look good too. Is that a scar on your chest?" Jordan asked, noticing the mark on his chest. His top buttons had come undone. Lincoln blushed.
"Yeah… Lisa gave me bionic organs. I had them implanted about two weeks ago and I'm just starting to get back into my regular exercise routine. Lisa wanted me to build back up slowly to my regular workout to prevent any negative effects.
"Whoa! Why did you need bionic organs?" Jordan asked. She had forgotten about Lincoln's bionics. And she guessed that she didn't expect there to be a visible scar, what with Lisa's incredible inventions.
"I didn't. I don't. Lisa needed some help with her project and I was healthy enough to undertake the implantation. Actually, it's enhanced my life, not diminished it. My ability to work out and exercise has gotten better. I'm a bit heavier too because of the bionic organs and what Lisa calls UDOM. Basically, extremely dense biological material that she injected right into my bones.
"Think Wolverine, but not metal." Lincoln shrugged. But I'm already able to run much longer, though I'm currently a bit slower. But she says that I'll be able to run much faster over the long run. I dunno. Whatever." Lincoln said.
"That's pretty cool." Jordan said, kissing Lincoln lovingly and getting in the front seat of his car.
"I love your car. How on earth did you afford it?" Jordan asked, seeing that it looked vaguely like a Jaguar or maybe a Maserati. Not super high end luxury or sports cars.
But definitely beyond what most people could afford, especially an eighteen-year-old.
"Well… Lisa made the car for me with help from Lana. Lana's abilities as a handiwoman and a mechanic and Lisa's incredible scientific abilities meant that they could make an incredibly advanced and powerful car that's fast as well as being strong in terms of protections both external and internal." Lincoln said, turning on the radio.
"Any station you want?" Lincoln asked.
"Umm… Classic Rock?" Jordan asked. Lincoln smiled. Jordan would get along great with Luna. He turned the satellite radio to Classic Rock. They then went to Stella's home. He went up to the door, knocking politely. Her father looked down rather sternly at Lincoln. Lincoln knew that Ken didn't like the fact that Stella was in a poly relationship. He'd accepted that Stella was bisexual. But he worried that she would become promiscuous, that being in a poly relationship was just the start of a promiscuous sexual lifestyle. He saw it as just a fancy word for 'cheating'.
He liked Lincoln as a person, or at least what he knew of him. But he didn't approve of what Lincoln was doing with Stella and Jordan.
"Hello, Lincoln." Ken said calmly.
"Hello, Mr. Zhau." Lincoln said. He always felt anxious around Ken.
"Is-is your daughter ready?" He asked.
"She should be. I'll go check. Stella? Sweetie? Lincoln is here!" Ken said, heading up the stairs and knocking on her door.
"I'll be out in a minute." Stella said, finishing getting her outfit on. She came down in a one-piece dress. The top was white, the bottom was red. It was short sleeved and had white stars on the red skirt. She had a red purse with a star on it and she'd put her hair up in a very 60s style. She came down the stairs, smiling at the look on Lincoln's face. He blushed lightly at her dress.
"Someone sees something they like." Stella teased. Lincoln nodded, taking her hand, kissing it lightly.
"Hey there, Stel… Ready for the dance?" Lincoln asked. Stella nodded, kissing Lincoln on the lips, heading out of the house with him, putting her cell phone in her purse. She got in the back of the car.
"Wow, Linc… Do you have like a rich uncle or something?" Stella asked, admiring how advanced his car looked. Lincoln chuckled.
"Well… Not an uncle. I do have ancestors who were royalty in Scotland.
"But that's not how I got this car. My sisters, Lana and Lisa made it themselves. Lisa was responsible for the electronics and technology inside the car and especially in the engine, while Lana was responsible for the car itself and helping to build the engine itself. It's both fast and powerful, it's nearly indestructible, but when it crashes, airbags open up all around the car. It has computers in the engine that can help control the car in a sticky situation. So if there is no option but to crash, the computers can take over and control where the car gets hit based on determining who's in the car and which part of the car is safest.
"It also has satellite radio and can get stations from almost anywhere in the world. There are other traits in the car, but they're not really important right now." Lincoln said. He drove them to the location of the prom, a nice country club that had a large banquet hall. They handed in their prom tickets at the door and got their stamps on their hands. Lincoln nodded at Luna, who was setting up the band. The room was dressed up great with records. Students had donated broken or irreparably scratched records to the school for the purposes of decorating the prom.
It had posters of the Beatles and other great bands from the 60s. Luna greeted everyone.
"Hey, all you swingin' cats out there! Welcome to the 2022 Senior Prom. We got some great jams for you guys. We'll be rockin' till the early hours of the mornin'!" Luna said, starting to play her guitar. They'd prepared a bunch of songs for the night. They played some great music. Lincoln went up to the floor with Jordan and Stella at the same time, swinging them around, twirling them.
He'd been practicing with his dancing with his sisters. He wanted to be able to dance like they did in the 60s. And if he did say so, he was pretty good. He'd looked up videos of people dancing from the 60s. Lincoln even managed to do tricks with them, kissing them as he spun them around. He looked over and saw Chandler glaring at him. He could tell that his flex had worked. He really had managed to get under Chandler's skin. Whether Chandler had initially thought that they were both going with him as friends, there was no way he couldn't tell that they were there as partners now.
When they finally sat down, Lincoln looked over and saw Chandler glancing over to Lincoln's table, clearly wanting to confront him. He had gone with a girl that looked surprisingly similar to him. There was no evidence that, despite his claims of having a super-hot girlfriend, that he had a partner at the moment. So Lincoln assumed that Chandler was there with his cousin or sister or something. So unless his cousin or sister was his 'super-hot girlfriend', Lincoln assumed that Chandler was currently single.
He also figured that Chandler had some idea that Lincoln was dating both Jordan and Stella. The three of them didn't hide their relationship, and Lincoln's friends; Clyde, Rusty, Liam and Zach were definitely jealous as well. But over time, they came to accept the relationship and they were still pretty good friends. Though Clyde was dating Chloe, Rusty was dating a girl named Amelia, Liam was dating a girl named Lidia. Zach was dating a girl named Andrea. So they didn't hang out as much anymore.
But soon, the old gang was sitting around the table, chatting and laughing. Any resentment or jealousy they may once have had for Lincoln having and managing two girlfriends at once was forgotten and they were just having fun as old friends.
"So, Clyde… You're planning to go to the Culinary, huh?" Lincoln asked interestedly.
"Yep! I'm gonna go twice. Once for cooking and once for baking." Clyde said eagerly. He was incredibly excited to be going to such a prestigious school, especially for something he loved as much as cooking.
"And Liam, you want to just stay on the farm. Right?" Lincoln asked. Liam nodded.
"Ah don't see a reason to leave! All Ah need t'know, Ah already learned from a lifetime of getting' up at dawn and workin' on th' farm." Liam said.
"And I'm going for Communications. I just want to start a YouTube Channel to educate the world on the truth. What really happened on 9/11, aliens secretly controlling our government. I'll make believers out of as many people as possible. I already have a to support myself while I do this." Zach said.
"We'll all donate, right guys?" Lincoln asked.
"Of course. I don't have that much money right now. But I'll give as much as I can." Rusty said.
"We'll all give as well." Clyde said. They all wanted to support their friends. Clyde had a scholarship to the Culinary arranged for both Cooking and Baking. He was going to be going to the Culinary for eight years. He would be away for eight years, other than maybe Summer Vacation and Christmas Vacation. It would be a long time to be away from home and then Clyde would have to decide what he wanted to do.
He could go back home to Michigan, or he could stay in Poughkeepsie or even go to New York City with Chloe, who was also going to the Culinary. She wasn't as sure as Clyde that she was going to go for eight years. But she wanted to go with him and open up a restaurant with him after they were done. Rusty was going to college for Majors in Business and Economics. He wanted to open his own business like his father's. He wanted to be even more successful than his dad. Not to show him up, but to do him proud.
Zach was going to be an internet celebrity in a sense. He wanted to start on YouTube, but then make his own site where people could get memberships on it to have access to special content. He would have a . He intended both to be successful and to educate people on his conspiracy theories, though he considered them to be irrefutable fact.
"What about you, Stella? Jordan?" Clyde asked.
"Well… I'm going for Programming and Computer Sciences." Stella said. She wanted to be a programmer. She wanted to get a Ph.D. in at least one of them. She was probably going to go to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Though she was considering Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well. The difference between the two was about five hours in terms of travel. She also liked the aesthetic of Cambridge. They were so open and liberal in Massachusetts. She had been accepted by both. She was just still talking to her parents and to Lincoln and Jordan about her decision.
But in Cambridge, she would be practically within spitting distance of both Boston and Salem. Those were major cities for American History. She really wanted to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. But she also was a little anxious about being so far away from home. She'd initially been planning to go to a college close to home. But now that she'd been accepted to both of these colleges, she was excited about the opportunities going there would offer her.
Jordan had initially chosen to go to Marist. But now, she was also considering other colleges. Michigan State was extremely close to home and it had a great teaching program. She was also considering Northwest University in Illinois. Both had strong teaching programs. She wouldn't be as far from home. If she went to Northwestern University, she would still be almost five hours from home. But she would be closer than if she went to Marist. She was probably going to go to Northwestern. She'd only just gotten back the letters from the colleges she was accepted at. She hadn't replied yet.
She was planning on accepting the one to Northwestern University.

Lincoln sighed as Chandler came over. Jordan and Stella had gone up to the dance floor to dance together and were really just starting to show off a bit with their moves. Chandler got down in the seat next to him.
"Hey there, buddy boy." Chandler smirked.
"I'm not your buddy, Chandler. What do you want?" Lincoln asked, already irritated with Chandler's brazenness. Chandler chuckled, holding his hands out as though Lincoln was the one going too far.
"Whoa, whoa! I don't want a fight. I just wanted to know how you managed to bag the two hottest chicks in school at the same time. I mean, yeah I get it. The white hair and the man with the plan shit. But really? How'd you manage to get both of them to agree to date you at the same time. I mean look, both of them could probably find a boy… Or a girl if that's their thing, it's not my business, that wanted only them. Somehow, you manage to get them to agree to a three way, knowing that they'll have to share your attention. So how do you do it? Give a guy some advice." Chandler said.
Lincoln was already tense, angry at how disrespectful Chandler was being.
"There is no trick to it. Poly relationships are like any other relationship. You need to take it slow and easy, make sure everyone is okay with the situation. I made absolutely sure that Stella was okay with Jordan being part of the relationship. I made sure that Jordan knew for a fact that Stella was still my girlfriend as well. I make sure to give each of them individual attention. Sometimes I take them both out on dates at the same time. But I also take each of them on individual dates.
"It isn't a con, it isn't a flex and I'm not being 'the man with the plan' with them. They're my girlfriends, not my trophies." Lincoln said firmly. He said this just as the song ended and Jordan and Stella came back from the dance.
"Well, we're glad to know you'll say the same thing when you think we aren't listening as you do when you know we are listening." Jordan said, looking at Chandler.
"You're in my seat, McCann." Jordan said bluntly. Lincoln sighed. He'd rattled Chandler with his speech.
Chandler had clearly expected Lincoln to be honest about what Chandler assumed was an obvious flex. To some degree, it was one for Lincoln. But on the other hand, Lincoln genuinely wanted to bring both girls to the prom. He didn't have a favorite. He loved both of them the same and wanted to show them that. Chandler was so busy being jealous of Lincoln's luck with the ladies that he failed to see that Lincoln would obviously treat them both with the utmost respect.
The night went on without incident, save for the one moment when Chandler looked like he was about to have an aneurism. Finally, Lincoln took the girls out to the car and drove them home.
"This was what Chandler called a flex for you, wasn't it?" Jordan chuckled. Lincoln laughed sheepishly.
"A little bit. I wanted to show Chandler up. He's really been stepping up his treatment of me lately and I wanted to shock him a bit. So yeah, this was a bit of a flex. But I really did want you both with me at the prom. I wasn't just using you to get back at Chandler, I promise." Lincoln said.
Both women laughed.
"We know, Linc. You would never do something like that." Stella said as Lincoln pulled up to her house and walked her up to the door. He kissed her good night and shut the door behind him. He then drove Jordan to her home, took her up to the house, kissed her good night as well.
"I love you, Girl Jordan." Lincoln said. He hadn't called her that in a fair while. He kissed her one last time and then went back to his car, heading back to the new Loud House, heading up to his room and getting undressed, going to bed.
