Before Bucky could throw a second punch, Steve whirled around behind him and pinned both arms to his sides. Bucky gave a galvanic shudder, then sagged back against Steve, going boneless. They went down to the floor together, Steve cushioning their fall.
The two stayed there for a long time, Steve whispering soft reassurances into Bucky's ear, rocking him back and forth.
"You okay?" he asked at last.
Bucky didn't answer.
"Bad dream?" Steve prodded.
Turning abruptly in Steve's embrace, Bucky buried his face against his chest. "Didn't know where I was," he said in a muffled voice. "Sorry. Sorry."
