Steve spotted a feline face peeking out from under the bed. Nudging Bucky, he pointed her out.
Blowing out a sigh of relief, Bucky crouched down in front of her, and held out a hand. "I'm sorry, sweetie," he said softly. "Did I scare you?"
Eyeing him warily, Ali came out. After a minute or two of soft words and inquiring meows, she let him lift her up.
Steve watched as Bucky sweet-talked and snuggled his girl.
Finally, he said gently, "Hey, Buck."
Bucky looked up. His smile was sweet. "Yeah, Stevie?"
"I've got someone I want you to meet."
