Chapter 9:
En Gardevoir
Location: South Boulevard Pokémon Center
I was sat down with Shauna and Trevor, tracing my finger across the Town Map from Lumiose City to Cyllage City. Suffice to say, it seemed like quite a trek. Between those cities included the settlements of Camphrier Town, known for its mansion and Ambrette Town, which houses an aquarium.
"Without distractions," Trevor said. "It will take about ten days to get to Cyllage City. It's a long road ahead, so I think we should stay in Lumiose City for one more day to prepare ourselves."
"Sounds good!" Shauna said. "Hey, Big C. How about we go to a café like I suggested yesterday? I know the perfect place!"
"I'll tag along," Trevor insisted. "I need to clear my head a bit before we set off tomorrow. I have a lot of Pokémon to catch on the way."
Location: Lumiose City
"Here's the place!" Shauna said, showing up a red café. There was a sign on the door that read 'Café Soleil.'
"Let's go in!" I said.
Location: Café Soleil
When we walked in, we were greeted with a surprise. Lysandre was there, talking to a woman wearing posh-white clothes. She had with her a designer handbag from Chandelure. They are an expensive make. With her was a Pokémon with a long-white body, similar to a dress. Its head was green as well as its legs beneath its dress, and it had a pink horn through its chest.

"I don't believe it," Shauna said. "It's Diantha Falconetti! The biggest actor in Kalos!"
"No way!" I said. "Who?"
Shauna laughed. "Do you not watch movies? She's a superstar!"
"But what is she doing talking to that creepy man from yesterday?" Trevor asked.
"You played a young girl wonderfully on your debut on the silver screen," Lysandre told her. "Tell me, would you rather be beautiful and young forever?"
Diantha was confused. "What kind of question is that? I want to keep trying new things. It helps keep my career fresh." She then saw us. "Oh, hello. Who might you be?"
Shauna was squealing. "My name is… Shauna and… I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?!"
Diantha giggled. "Sure thing."
Shauna got out a copy of Pogue magazine with her on the front cover, and Diantha put her autograph on it.
"These are some of the children I was telling you about," Lysandre said. "The other two are Trevor, who is the nephew of Professor Sycamore."
"And I know you," Diantha said. "You are the son of Grace! The Rhyhorn Racer!"
"Call me Calem," I said. "Seriously, call me that."
"I'm sorry," Lysandre said. "He doesn't like being referred to as the son of Grace. Part of the reason he became a Pokémon Trainer is to make a new name for himself."
"A Trainer?" Diantha asked. "Where are you off to next?"
"Cyllage City," I said. "I would take on the Lumiose City Gym, but I can't because of the power outage."
"And it's none of your business either," Lysandre mentioned. "Leave it to the authorities. I should get going. I want to keep going to create a beautiful world." With that, he left.
"Sheesh that guy makes interesting impressions," Trevor said. "So, Diantha, what brings you to Lumiose City? I thought you were in Ecruteak City shooting Ho-oh's Princess 2."
"It's wrapped up!" she said. "Now onto the editing! The Trailer should be on Pokétube later this year if all goes well."
"Diantha," I said. "What were you talking to Lysandre about?"
She looked out the doors which Lysandre had exited. "I really have no idea. He has some interesting views that man." Just then, Diantha's phone went off. "Yes? Okay, thank you." She hung up. "Sorry, I have to get going. They need me at the Pokéstar Studios in Virbank City soon, my flight has been booked. I hope we get to battle some day!" With that, she walked out.
"Talk about a tight schedule," I said.
"Well, it is hard being both a famous actor and a Champion," Shauna said.
"A what?!" I replied. "Diantha is Champion of the Kalos region to? Sheesh and I thought Mum had a busy schedule."
We spent the rest of the day shopping for supplies for the start of the big trek tomorrow!
