Kagome felt tired. More so than usual. Closing her eyes as she sat with Miroku and Kikyo she felt a headache coming on.

Taking a breath she could feel how close they were to tearing down a particularly strong binding. It cracked under their insistence finally giving way to shatter.

Breathing out she reopened her eyes to see both Miroku and Kikyo looking at her.

"I think that is enough prayer for today." Miroku said. "Lady Kagome, you should rest."

"Thank you Miroku. I think I will." She said standing. Exiting the room with Kiyko she felt a bit light headed.

"Lady Kagome, I had hoped that you would join Kaede and I for tea today along with Lady Sango." Kikyo mentioned.

"I enjoy our time together Lady Kikyo but I am feeling quite flushed today for some reason. Maybe tomorrow." Kagome replied.

"Until tomorrow then." Kikyo obliged. "At least allow me to make sure you make it to your quarters with out incident."

"That would be very kind of you." Entering her chambers Kikyo shut the door sealing it in a similar way Sesshomaru was able to securing their privacy.

"You do know why you are feeling so ill, yes?" Kikyo asked. Sango had chosen to stay behind in the room standing when they entered. Glancing at the two women she narrowed her gaze at Kikyo.

"Of course I do. This isn't my first pregnancy." Kagome said with a small smirk. Sitting on the futon she motioned for Sango to stand down. "Granted the timing is bad."

"Extremely." Kikyo gave a soft sigh. "Kagome, I am not trying to chastise you. What you and your husband do is your business. This just may make things more difficult."

"I know, I do. I have been kicking myself in the ass for it but it's done and all I can do is go from here."

"Have you informed Lord Sesshomaru?"

"No. He has enough going on out there. It would distract him from what's important. The last thing we need are distractions especially if what he believes is true." Kagome said.

"Agreed. For now it will be a secret among the four of us." Kikyo stated looking to Sango. "Good day ladies."

"Good day Kikyo." Kagome gave a small bow of her head. Turning her attention to Sango once Kikyo was gone she stood. "I felt that you know? Your emotions. You can't hide them from me Sango."

Closing her eyes and setting her jaw Sango took in a sharp breath. "It's alright. Your secret is safe with me and no, I am not jealous."

Swallowing hard Sango reopened her lids to meet Kagomes gaze. "Funny in a way, we grew up together in the same place and fell in love with the same man. Granted your way of going about it was nothing short of terrible and twisted."

Glancing away from her quickly Sango turned to lay down on her futon with her back to her. "Maybe one day you will meet a man that you will treat well."

Not receiving any indication that Sango was still listening to her she relented in lying down herself to sleep.

In her dream she was back in her room at her parents mansion. Knowing it was a dream she wondered why she was there. Every detail was as her mind recalled as she went to the vanity opening her drawer.

Untucking her secret compartment she found notes, Sesshomarus notes. Smiling at the memory the handwriting was a blurred mess but she knew what they said.

Walking to her balcony with them in hand she decided to have some fun with this dream scape. Opening the doors she was met with a swirling red and black void where her balcony should be.

Closing the doors quickly she heard an ominous dark chuckle echo throughout the room. Suddenly, painfully, aware that she was not in control she tensed.

"Who's there? Show yourself!" She demanded. A shadowy figure emerged from the shadows and she grit her teeth tightly.

"Naraku!" She spat out.

"Dear Kagome. Have you missed me?" He drawled out flicking an errant lock of ebony hair from his eyes.

"What are you doing here?"

"Is that anyway to greet your husband? I have worried over you for nearly six years Kagome, suffering, not knowing your plight."

"You are not my husband." She affirmed. Narakus face broke out into a smile at that as he laughed chilling her to the bone. "This is not real. It's just a dream."

"Is it?" Naraku queried advancing on her quickly. Pinning her to the wall he breathed down her neck as he bit her hard. Crying out she tensed unable to call her spiritual energy to help her.

"You are not here! This isn't real! I need to wake up!"

"I am much closer than you realize." Naraku whispered in her ear. "See you soon."

Waking with a start Kagome shot up out of bed. Sweating and breathing heavily she swiped her wet bangs aside from her forehead.

Reaching to her neck there was nothing there. Sighing out she closed her eyes tightly. Deeply disturbed by the dream she figured to ask Miroku about it in the morning.
