So that Poland would grow in strength and people would live more prosperously. - Edward Gierek

General Staff of the Polish Army
21:37
The comrade officers of all ranks necessary for the proper functioning of the staff headed by General of Arms Florian Siwicki, who was the Chief of Staff, and General of Army Wojciech Jaruzelski, who was the Minister of Defense, were sitting at a big table. On the table lay the current map of Parpaldia with the marked units and the current front line running along the river Abovo.
The reason for gathering them all here was, of course, a problem related to the Parpaldian counteroffensive. Or to be more precise, a problem of a nature that is very often ignored by all sorts of people who are from the cycle of their favorite country and their army (*cough*Werhmacht*cough*) can conquer everything around with ease because they are the best and they have here insert what powerful weapons (*cough*Yamato*cough*).
It was a matter of logistics, of course.
A very tedious job in which there are a lot of people who, like the settlers in the first Settlers (whoever hasn't played the game should regret it), move tedious things such as ammunition, fuel, spare parts, human supplies and, of course, new toys to kill for those Rommels and Pattons from point to point.
And in this wonderful case it is from MESKO producing all kinds of ammunition of all calibers for the Armed Forces of the People's Republic of Poland and the factory itself is located in Skarżysko south of Radom... Well, what the hell am I doing here, most of it is read by foreigners anyway and hardly any of them will look at google maps now, right? And who of you knows the location of Radom? Well, probably no one, right?
So simply this factory is located about half way from Warsaw to Krakow! Or more precisely about 140 km south of Warsaw.
And from there, people from Central Poland, get on trains in Skarżysko-Kamienna because that's the exact name of the city, and go north on trains to Gdynia or Gdansk, but rather mostly to Gdynia. Thank the League of Nations for creating the Free City of Danzig. Even today Gdynia carries more goods than Danzig!
And from Skarżysko to Gdynia is about 500 km. And then we have a couple of thousand km to Altaras or better yet straight to Parpaldia by sea.
As far as from Japan to Parpaldia is only 800 km. So for Poland to get there it has to overcome almost 3000 km. Quite a lot, isn't it? And here I've given only an estimated approximation of this distance. In reality it's a few hundred more for Poland and a few tens less for Japan.
And here we have a huge buried dog. You see, Poland's logistics, as befits a largely land-based country, is focused on road-train transport and these two parts work great. Both trains in Poland and trucks in Parpaldia. However, the maritime logistics is a bloody bottleneck. This is not the USA or France.
Yes, the seizure of many civilian ships which were in Poland at the time of transfer, both in ports and in territorial waters, gave quite a big boost.
But first of all, most of them were again designated for civilian purposes, this time under the red-and-white flag, although not always with a purely Polish crew, helping in the development of the Polish economy, transporting, for example, raw materials and food so much desired by Japan.
Secondly, the Naval Logistics, such a very creative name but that's what it was called, was overloaded with the number of ships and personnel needed for training. Very much on a large scale, literally it's flooding a small actually fleet with a small budget with a huge number of ships, as for personnel to find more sailors there's no problem why there's this three year conscription right?
Yes, the best of them won't be sailors, but it's all about finding them and not about their ultra-quality like in the case of volunteers, although there's no shortage of them, mainly those who want to get a taste of the sea. And quite a few of those who served previously in the Navy, and after completing their compulsory service returned home, because there was in fact no place for them.
Thirdly, the Navy took over many hulls that were standing in shipyards and had been built for foreign shipowners and also had to train personnel for these ships because they began to be converted into ultra-needed new warships. And yet to fulfill the new plan for the Fleet, which had to be reworked in place of the old one from 1969 because of its increased weight on a scale unknown to Poland.
The most famous example of this is already known to you, dear readers, because ORP Konstytucja 3 Maja was such a ship. Of course, both OORP Hołd Ruski and Hołd Pruski are also such ships, but in comparison with Konstytucja they are a fart.
Because, you see, in OTL and until recently she was called Marshal Budionny and she was a hundred-thousand-ton ship, that is, a ship of 100 thousand tons' carrying capacity to be precise. At that time it was the largest ship built in a Polish shipyard up to that time, and only a few decades later this record was beaten.
But here let's give the floor to the officer from JMSDF Captain Yuichi Yogi, the one from reports about Polish ships from previous chapters, only now his name was revealed.
Description and Technical Data of ORP Konstytucja-class ship (Provisional Designation) Report to JSDF.
Unlike the other ships it was not very easy to get information, if you could get information about Cold War fleets easily just by looking in our intelligence archives and libraries or in the surviving part of wikipedia then finding data of this ship which was in the old world an ordinary bulk carrier built for the USSR by Poland in Gdynia bordered on impossible.
In our timeline she was named "Marshal Budionny" and she was an all-purpose bulk carrier, i.e. according to the English designation OBO she was able to transport Oil,Bulk,Ore in huge quantities. What I could notice while staying on the ship.
The number of loaded helicopters was enormous, unfortunately, there was no way to know how many helicopters she could carry, but considering the fact that she is a huge ship with a capacity of 100 thousand tons, I would estimate it to be at least 50 to 100 machines. In terms of size, it resembles the American Yorktown class ships from World War II, although with its displacement it easily beats all of those ships combined.
What's more, I saw a lot of cargo on the ship in the form of oil, gasoline, and all kinds of propellants for the invasion. In general, the ship itself seemed to be a conglomeration of two different ships. A large part of the ship what was visible was still a civilian ship not adapted to the number of crew to be on it.
According to the sailors I met, it was designed for a crew of 50, and I can confirm that at least 1500 people were on board. The helicopter runway was a pretty big shambles, as was the hangar and the elevators for the runway.
From what I can gather the ship was taken over by the navy in May of last year when their concerns about the size of the oceans and seas around Poland were confirmed, hence the rumored attempt to convert the ship into a full-size aircraft carrier. In general, the idea of a battleship was treated by sailors as an attempt at a joke rather than a serious concept.
Fortunately for us, the anticipated war with Parpaldia thwarted the plans and forced the Poles to make a makeshift conversion to a helicopter carrier. The lack of suitable aircraft to take off from such a deck is also quite a handicap.
Fortunately it has two disadvantages, firstly it is very slow with a maximum speed of 18 knots and it is poorly equipped with anti-aircraft weapons and has no weapons for self-defense against enemy ships except its air wing.
Although in a battle against any country in the Third Zone it is too much to expect that in the face of our naval forces it is only a big target to shoot at. Unfortunately, looking at how much Poles can "Kombinować" untranslatable word which means more or less to solve the problem in not obvious and clever way or in dishonest style or on the border of legality and often in spite of belief that it won't work.
I fear that they will turn it into something so dangerous that it will not only be a serious nuisance but will be difficult to get rid of in the event of a worst case scenario of a Polish-Japanese war. This is based on my observations during the operation of the Polish army and fleet in action. There is surprisingly little initiative from the lower ranks, rather the tendency is the other way round, commanders are forced to keep them in check rather than keep their allegiance in strict discipline, probably an effect of propaganda and the revealed demands of Parpaldia.
As for the unit's rating, I consider it to be moderately dangerous, with an emphasis on possibly moving up this ranking significantly, I recommend looking for neutralizing actions or directing the Poles appropriately so as not to increase this level of danger. The training of the sailors is quite high and the technical level of the ship is quite high, it is probably the most advanced Polish warship in their fleet.
Of course, a big problem is the speed with which the training took place and many technical inconveniences resulting from the rapid rebuilding of the ship, which was not finished in its entirety. Nothing that a longer stay in the shipyard will not change. Moreover, I believe that Poland will replace or significantly strengthen the existing propulsion unit of the ship with a stronger one.
Fortunately, it has quite a few disadvantages due to being originally a civilian vessel, but it is a big step forward to develop a viable aircraft carrier type unit.
Tactical and Technical Data - Please note that the data is given as an estimate, probably underestimated, but the Polish Navy hiding behind the needs of war hid the exact technical data giving only an approximation
Displacement - about 100 thousand tons
Length - about 240 m
Width - about 40 m
Draught - about 15 m
Propulsion - 1 main engine Cegielski Sulzer 8RND90 with 23 000 horse power
Speed 18 knots
Range 20 000 nautical miles
Aviation equipment
From 50 to 100 helicopters (expected) from Mi family, mainly Mi-2 model
Well that's it from the report it's time to return to our comrade generals.
"As Comrade General Jaruzelski ordered, here is a report on the state of supply and its wear and tear from the days of fighting," said Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski, while another junior soldier handed out copies of the report for the commanders at the table to read.
The generals took the report in their hands and started to read it, some of them making grim faces after a while. You could also see anger and surprise. After a few rather long minutes when Jaruzelski and Siwicki had finished reading, Jaruzelski drew attention to himself by putting the briefcase down on the table a little louder.
"Comrade Colonel Kuklinski, are you sure there was no mistake in passing on the reports from Comrade General Kozlowski?" This was said by the general in a calm tone with the diction of a man reading a sermon in church, not at all strange considering the fact that he went to a Catholic school and participated in mass as an altar boy, but in spite of what one could say pleasant to listen to voice there was a chill in the room.
Kuklinski calmly replied, "No Comrade General, everything has been transcribed as it was in the original which arrived by plane this morning."
Jaruzelski nodded calmly and looked at Siwicki. "Apparently we slightly underestimated the ammunition consumption rate on these Parpaldians." It was not an exaggerated secret that the minister of national defense disliked the whole plan for war with Parpaldia, although he agreed that the Polish People's Army needed live training to test how its organization and armaments worked, but he believed that Parpaldia would not give reliable results because of the huge advantage in everything except numbers.
And those easily perceptible free-market reforms and probing as to how far Gierek could go in his new road to socialism, de facto repeating his predecessor's actions as far as the goal was concerned but unlike him, he now had no Russian whip and a boot over his head annoyed Jaruzelski who was surprisingly and somewhat against public opinion a Polish patriot as much as a socialist. And the fact that he believes in Socialism and considers it the only right way could be felt.
Fortunately, for the time being, he preferred to stay out of politics, because he lost his back in Moscow and had to gain support in the circles of power in a different way. Jaruzelski himself was rather to the right of them, but still far from the right reform wing of the party, although they also got a good kicking.
In general, two groups gained the most influence: Gierek's group, the so-called "technocrats", who had the real support of ordinary Poles who enjoyed what they considered prosperity after years of rule by the rather stingy Gomulka, like a certain Scottish duck. And the so-called "partisans" revived after the transfer, grouped around Mieczyslaw Moczar after a brief loss of influence since 1970 and having considerable weight under Gomulka.
Siwicki, on the other hand, was a close associate of Jaruzelski since the Second World War, where they trained together as infantry officers in Ryazan. A loyal friend whom Jaruzelski helped a little to get to the top of power.A good infantry officer though he was no match for Jaruzelski who made his division the best of its kind in the Polish Army.
Siwicki, hearing the citation, nodded his head and replied, "Unfortunately, it was rather assumed that the campaign would be faster and the enemy less resistant."
Meanwhile, the head of the secretariat of the Committee for the Defense of the Country, Major General Mieczysław Dębiński, the main body responsible for the defense of the state in a situation of danger and in the event of it was to take over full power temporarily, spoke up; unfortunately, Parpaldia was not a threat to Poland to a sufficient degree to justify the legislation going into effect.
"As we know, the original plan was to launch a concentrated attack on the capital right from the sea, but this plan was abandoned after the Emperor went north, so in the end we had to act in a more traditional way."
Jaruzelski nodded in agreement and then raised his hand toward the only other colonel or general in the room sitting at the table.
"Comrade Major Romanchuk, please present your plan to end this war quickly."
The Major stood up saluted then pulled a briefcase out of his bag and said "Comrade Juri get your equipment ready".
The officers then began to look through the papers given to them by Romanchuk and Juri prepared the projector.
After a long moment when the equipment was ready, the light went out and the Major began. "Comrades, here is the plan for the planned Operation Szewczyk Dratewka."
After which a map the same as on the table appeared on the screen but zoomed in on the Romus area. "With the help of my staff and Captain Cena's squad."
The murmurs passed and Major General Jerzy Skalski asked, "You mean that old paratrooper with the big mustache and the always cutting retort?"
The Major nodded and Skalski added, "So tell us what this madman has come up with now, the last time he did his stunts the whole damn militia and interior troops were unable to catch him." And some of the officers laughed.
Unintentionally Jaruzelski laughed as he recalled the Oder-Nyssa maneuvers in 1969 when Captain Cena was able to fool entire divisions with his platoon of commandos and completed all tasks without any problems or losses despite the fact that they were dressed in Western intelligence stolen uniforms and their general sector of operations and objectives were well known.
After a small moment of smiling the Major continued to explain his plan. "As you know comrades, Parpaldia sent its envoy to Tokyo for secret peace talks where it met with our ambassador and the result of those talks was finally able to bring about the declaration of a ceasefire in five days and the prelude to normal second round peace talks."
The officers nodded slightly understanding what was going on and the more militant among them were furious at these talks conducted with Gierek's approval behind their backs, the fact that they supported Moczar by the way was just a coincidence.
"The original plan was to attack with the support of the 6th Pomeranian Romus, where the Emperor is located, and to capture him in order to force Parpaldia to peace talks, but as a result of changes we got a new target.
Here smiled Jaruzelski who convinced Gierek to let the commandos take action to remind the Parpaldians who held the better cards here.
"On the screen, as you can see, there is a minor Imperial Army base, thanks to information gleaned from the captives." Here what the more observant noticed the emphasis on the word extracted, it was no secret how the intelligence did it. The KGB teaches its minor fraternal agencies well how it is done.
"This is Comrades Armory No. 4 officially engaged in the storage and examination of foreign weapons. We have solid evidence that Major Henryk Zawadzki, missing and captured by Parpaldian about a month ago, is located there. What's more, there are also copies of our weapons captured by the enemy."
General Zdrzalka, commander of the 6th Pomeranian Division, was called in by Jaruzelski for such a blatant mistake as sending a helicopter over an unprotected and unexplored area.
Only the help of Zdrzalko's other friends and the efficiency with which he conducted his entire part of the operation meant that he suffered no major consequences, except that the next such mistake and he was out of a job, and someone more sensible would take over his post. Poland could not afford, like the Soviets, to lose people in a foolish manner, not now, when only twenty years after the war they regained a population equal to that before the war.
Six millions of Poles went to hell, thanks to the gracious electricians and their chief boss, whom they protected a certain bitter painter from Austria, who did not understand that no is no and for refusing to give up what I want he went mad and ordered to treat the Poles as harshly as possible, although until recently he wanted Poland in alliance.
From this three million Jews for being Jews and three million Poles for being Poles, Polish elite, daring to learn and be independent from Aryan race of masters, it is hard to tell, what from this fate was worse, full extermination of all nation or removing all elite and making from this what remained slaves who have not even to know own language, let alone history, except that all Germans gave them.
And the directive that for each German killed by the Polish Resistance, 100 random Poles shall die, in fact for nothing, also did its job in this field.
And the brotherly help of the great Uncle Joe, who before Malarz put a cross over the Poles, also helped. So much so that it was necessary to look for so-called POPs, which comes from a malicious term coined by Poles in the Polish language and means Pełniący Obowiązki Polaka/Performing the Duties of a Pole. POPs were all those who at least had a Polish-sounding surname and were delegated to the creation of People's Poland.
No wonder the hypocrisy of the authorities, noticeable in spite of all, to take care that too many Poles do not die, although in the end their fate was of little concern to them until the transfer. Now they care more, because they are alone in their communist crusade and it is not the Soviet Union or Russia, that people always abound.
In the meantime, ignoring the generals' bent, the Major continued, "The armory will be hit by Captain Cena 2nd Platoon from the 1st Reconnaissance Company...

Seat of the Prime Minister of Japan
Japanese Prime Minister Yoshinori Yomoya tapped his desk top in exasperation while reading another collective internal security report on the current situation in Japan.
"Damn utranationalists. Do they know how hard things are?" He said angrily when he finished reading about how there were more riots caused by them. This time truly fatal as 32 people were killed and another 567 injured when a peaceful demonstration as usual suddenly turned into a brawl.
Of course, the newly formed Nippon Daiittou party led by Saito Yoshio was officially a right-wing party, but in practice it was a home for all kinds of ultranationalists, unfortunately it was not possible to outlaw or punish anyone with more than a fine, because they always manage to be victims in each of these fights.
Saito himself threatened that it's all the work of Polish communist provocateurs who are afraid of Japan and its power and called for stopping trade with Poland and, if necessary, for overthrowing the communist government. Everything is fine, but according to the counterintelligence report, Polish intelligence is busy shopping in bookstores and technology stores rather than pouring gasoline into the pile where rivers of it flow.
In general, the action of promoting Polishness in Japan, by the way quite successful, he noticed himself when his grandson was watching one of those Polish movies, and the retro fashion for the style of the 70s. And also many other things related to Poland, for example the sudden explosion of Polish books translated into Japanese or the introduction of Polish as a foreign language in schools.
Well, the last one is the most practical of all, English except for communicating with tourists is unnecessary for the time being, other countries with which Japan has diplomatic relations rather learn Japanese to come here, although everyone who wants to go abroad learns the common language of the third zone, Parpaldian, and all other languages simply lost their raison d'etre when the countries where you could go and talk in their language disappeared.
Although lessons of these languages were still maintained, their number was reduced and teachers of Polish became extremely valuable. And if there is a demand, it is rather obvious that teachers of these foreign languages started to train in order not to lose their jobs and to continue teaching.
Unfortunately, as we all know, when there is an action, there must be a reaction, and this is what we learn in physics lessons, that force always corresponds to the same amount of force, but in the opposite direction. So the ultranationalists found a new boy to beat and sought to boycott Polish products and everything associated with Poland. The problem is that it is rather difficult to boycott something that you know rather poorly and have done nothing for Japan.
Although Yomoya did not agree with Saito in many things, he had to admit that he was right in some of them, that Japan quickly became dependent on Polish raw materials and that this was the most dangerous situation for it, when a much more backward communist country could dictate conditions to Japan, like Russia to Europe.
Because it is a fact that at least 68% of the natural resources coming to Japan in the form of coal, steel and the like came from Poland.
Of course, these criticisms were fortunately enough to lead to an increase in exploration on Roderius, the construction of new mines and other mining facilities as well as the expansion of the railroad network on Roderius. Here it must be noted that the railroad network on which they run is mainly Polish trains, often withdrawn in recent years as part of its electrification, sometimes new straight from Polish factories although sometimes having Japanese parts such as modern seats.
Which leads to this strange sight, an old Polish steam or sometimes diesel locomotive, produced either after the war, though sometimes also one from before World War II, pulling modern Japanese freight cars built in the 21st century or late 20th century. Occasionally there are less outlandish sights, such as modern Polish diesel trains with all the rolling stock, but with, for example, modern seats or other amenities that would not exist on a train from the 1960s or 1970s.
Of course, mainly there are steam locomotives, because it is easier to get fuel and cheaper than building power plants, but in fact to power trains will exist, as it turned out that many of the facilities that gives electricity these mid-century countries have in the form of magic. As for example primitive but very similar to Japanese network of streetlights powered by magic.
Slightly more difficult, but as you can see mainly in the Quila Kingdom, diesel trains are rather dominant due to the cheap and readily available oil when the Japanese Companies moved in. Unfortunately, many of the easily accessible deposits had already been drained, some as a result of Mu's actions, but most as examined had been drained long ago.
And here comes to the thing which is covered by the greatest secrecy in Japan and the intelligence is careful not to let anyone know. Namely, over these deposits from time to time can be found rusted fragments of oil ranifernia and buildings. All in the technology of World War II and more specifically Japanese.
Old and completely destroyed Japanese trucks, tanks, planes and weapons that were lying in this world for many years! Also found wrecks of some unknown ships from a mysterious expedition shrouded in secrecy to which access to documents has only the imperial family.
All these are of course just remnants due to the fact that it has been too long since they arrived in this world, but thanks to the hot climate of Quila they have survived in a much better condition than if they had been in any other.
Fortunately, preserved pieces have been found like that unfortunate Zero fighter in the elven temple. Overall the priest explained a lot about where he came from even though he didn't know exactly who these envoys of the sun god prayed for by his former predecessors were.
When he heard about it, the first thing he thought was that someone heard a rumor about this mysterious expedition of the secret fleet of Japan and decided to make a joke to the already young Prime Minister. Unfortunately, the whole thing was recorded and the photos left him in no doubt.
Unfortunately for all those who want to take advantage of this to increase Japan's influence, he cut it all short. First of all, who will believe us? Secondly, do you want to give fuel to the radicals on the right and left to make an already tense situation even worse?
Another thing he hid was the memory of the legend of the friends of the Sun God's emissaries who, brought by their Queen, helped them in the great war against the demon lord. What frightened him was their description.
They were called the Undersea Eagle white and red with saber in hand, faithful to their Queen and her Divine Son hunting demons with a devotion surpassing the envoys of the Sun God.
I don't know why nobody noticed that it sounds something strangely familiar.
And so thinking about all this he was snatched away by the ringing phone in his pocket. He took it out and there he saw his friend, incidentally an avid historian and former sailor. "Speak of the devil" He muttered and answered the call.
"I have what you asked for Yoshinori" The voice on the other end of the receiver replied.
Feeling that this was a serious matter the Prime Minister went straight to the point, his friend rather rarely skipped polite formalities and when he did you have to focus on what he was saying.
"So my hypothesis makes sense?"
"I wish it didn't, but what you sent agrees with everything I have here." His friend replied.
Yomoya cursed nastily as well as at length. "So what do you have?" He asked his friend.
"Well, I did some searching, wikipedia obviously fell off when the servers hit and what's left is struggling to renew itself. So we had to take a few walks, but you know it's pretty hard to gather information on a fleet that's not that popular in Japan, well at least all that polish fashion was helpful though my grandson helped me out a bit. With his weird computer game about those Kanmusu where they added the Polish Fleet."
"Excuse me with what?" Asked a confused Yomoya.
"You know that game that the JMSDF recently partnered with to find you new recruits." Replied his friend undeterred though laughing a bit.
Yomoya tapped his head. "And I understand, this game and then what?"
"Well, so my grandson did some research on the history of these ships and I just managed to find the prime suspect and the dates more or less match up. I also did some reading on one of their forums and with the help of my grandson I finally managed to get a book on Polish ships."
"Well then how do you know how the Poles got there?" Asked Yomoya a little anxiously.
"The only ship that fits there is ORP Orzeł which means Eagle from Polish. The first Eagle-class submarine, a true behemoth and ocean-going vessel built by the Dutch for Poland and commissioned in 1938." Yomoya picked up a piece of paper and began taking notes.
"She fought in September 39 and then escaped to Estonia where her commander fled from command due to a nervous breakdown, his deputy with the rest of the crew broke out of Estonia despite the lack of navigational charts and using only from memory the location of lighthouses made it to Britain." Hearing this Yomoya raised an eyebrow.
"She operated under the Polish Bandera as part of the Royal Navy until May/June 1940 when she mysteriously disappeared with all hands. The wreck has never been found despite many attempts already." Here the Prime Minister interrupted his writing upon hearing this date.
"Are you sure?" Asked Yomoya anxiously.
"Hai, she went on a patrol from which she never returned, moreover they didn't even realize at first that something was up. They just thought she was hiding when new orders came in. The popular theory is that an allied destroyer sank her..." Said his friend somewhat uncertainly
"And in fact she was taken to another world where she met our secret fleet." Finished Yomoya for him.
The silence that fell after those words was so great that it could be cut with a knife and served on plates like a birthday cake.
"What will you do with it?" Asked the friend
"Pray to the kami that nothing bad will come of it in the end." Replied Yomoya
On the same day
ORP Czujny
Patrol in the deep sea area about 400 km north of Kołobrzeg next to a production platform under construction
New Baltic Ocean
23:47
The youngest of the Grozny type chasers, the ship of the Polish People's Republic sailed peacefully in its patrol and surveillance zone. It was not an easy job, considering the fact that now the ships operated on the high seas and not, as before, on a closed puddle which we do not know who called the sea.
And after the transfer, the body of water above the Polish maritime economic zone was called New Baltic, initially the sea, and when it turned out that it was the ocean, it was changed.
Of course, coming back to the not easy job, already earlier the unit in which this ship serves gained a reputation of a place of extremely hard service and rather a place which lazy people should avoid at all costs. Well, for those who know the name of the naval base and also have a basic grasp of English, it doesn't seem strange, as ORP Czujny is part of the 11th Submarine Sea Chaser Squadron in the naval port of Hel.
Of course, the name submarine chasers for simply re-designed patrol boat of WOP marine detachment with obsolete equipment for detecting submarines was a bit too much, but chaser sounds more proud than patrol boat.
Seaman Lech Litewski was calmly fulfilling his watch standing and observing the area around the ship and from time to time watching the night construction of the mining platform.
The work was going on even though it was night, because the night shift was working on the construction site and Litewski saw civilian ships sailing around the construction site. In general, several other similar structures for oil extraction were being built nearby.
The reason for this was firstly to satisfy its needs by Poland, and the second somewhat hidden fact was of course the unimaginable Japanese demand for oil, on which the Polish extraction companies such as PZN began to earn skyrocketing money on oil sales.
Of course, they were already making a lot of money before the transfer, considering that it was only a year after the beginning of the 1973 oil crisis, but now prices are even higher than then, and it does not look like they are going to fall anytime soon.
And so looking at the platform under construction he suddenly noticed a faint light to the west of the platform.
"What on earth is that?" Said Litewski to himself, and then he took his binoculars and began to see what that light was.
After a long moment he tapped the snoozing helmsman for the ship was at anchor. "Hey Kazik do you see what I see?"
"I'm awake Citizen Lieutenant!" He muttered quickly only to realize after a moment that it was his colleague. "Leszek, you fucking idiot, talk like you want to wake me up instead of tapping."
Lech rolled his eyes "Sure Kazik but look over there." He showed his head
"Where there?" The helmsman was surprised
"Where I shit, see that faint light to the west of that rig?" Asked a somewhat irritated Lech
"Which..." interrupted Kazimierz when he saw the faint light "oh I see it and what?"
"It's Kazik that it looks like a torch light and if I'm not imagining it is an unknown wooden ship that looks like an old medieval karak under the Polish War Bandera." Litewski replied
"Really? Let me see" After which Kazimierz took the binoculars from Lech's hand and stared at it like that for a few long minutes and then he finished. "Fuck".
"Not much to say, but I'd better go report it to the commander." Litewski said, to which Kazimierz nodded and added, "It's like this one, I'll keep an eye on these guys to make sure they don't sabotage the place."
Lech snorted with laughter "Yeah sure, with a medieval ship they will commit sabotage and under our noses." He started to climb up the ladder from the bridge to talk to the commander in his cabin.
Kazimierz added, "Well, you know, Leszek, they've got magic and stuff, they'll do some magic and we won't be able to do shit."
"Yes, yes!" Lech shouted from downstairs, then he opened the hatch and went to get the commander.
A few minutes later
The Captain of the Navy Edward Rudy, as soon as he heard about it, immediately ordered to sound the battle alarm, raise the anchor and report it to Commander Wladyslaw Monkiewicz, the 11th Squadron in Hel.
While the unit's staff was waking up for action, ORP Czujny itself moved towards its target, quickly cutting through the water. It didn't take too long, and the diesel engines in the hull whined loudly when they were suddenly awakened to their full power accelerating the small overall ship to its maximum speed.
"Turn on the searchlights!" Commanded the Captain and for the searchlights behind him after a brief moment and a few curses they fired up illuminating the unknown ship in all its glory.
"As I told the Citizen Lieutenant, it looks like a medieval karaka and it has our flag on the mast." Litewski said to his commander.
The man wordlessly nodded then took the microphone and out of the speakers came the captain's voice in the direction in Parpaldian language.
"To unknown vessel, this is the Navy of the Polish People's Republic, you are entering the territorial waters of the Polish State, stop immediately or turn back. If you do not comply we will open fire, first a warning series and then if you continue to resist we will sink you in accordance with international maritime law."
The heavy voice of a captain accustomed to giving an order with slight errors in language ran to the unfamiliar ship. The captain squinted his eyes as he saw that the enemy ship instead of stopping began to turn but not to turn around but to sail full side towards them and suddenly the ship had a slightly stronger light that began to flash periodically.
"What the hell are they doing?" The helmsman muttered.
"Good question Kazik." Said one of the sailors.
Suddenly everyone jumped when they heard a loud sound.
"It's coming from the ship." Said another sailor while the helmsman couldn't help but laugh.
"Yes, we know captain obvious... " He interrupted when they suddenly heard a familiar tune to each of them though of poor quality but understandable.
"Wait, wait what is this all about? Where is our anthem ringing out from that ship?" Litewski was puzzled, while the crew began discussing this unusual phenomenon.
"I tell you it's a Parpaldian conspiracy..." Said the sailor at the bow of the ship
"...the Japs and the Parpaldians seem to want to play a prank on us..." The sailor at the rear gun and, incidentally, the gunner of that gun, quoted the whole affair.
"The last time I drank on duty." Said another to his colleagues who agreed with him thinking that quite rightly they were a bit tipsy and it was all drunken mayhem.
The whole discussion was suddenly cut off when the music stopped and a deep male voice came from the ship. What made them wonder even more was the language in which he spoke.
"Welcome our old Polish brothers, this is the New Polish Commandery Ship Blyskawica under Commander Karon , we come in peace to request a meeting with the Polish President on behalf of Grand Commander Jan XIV Grudzinski. Poland is not yet lost!"
The whole speech was delivered in impeccable Polish, although as the sailors' ears weighed down they could clearly hear that this style of speech and language was rather not one hundred percent the speaker's native tongue.
"Well, pathos preserved, 100 % of the norm right comrades sailors?" Sneered the helmsman causing the rest of the crew including the ship's commander to burst out laughing.
After a moment of laughter the radio operator approached the Lieutenant "Citizen Lieutenant, Citizen Commander Monkiewicz to see you."
The commander nodded and went to the radio to listen to the new instructions.
"This is Lieutenant Rudy, what is it Citizen Commander?" The commander asked calmly.
"Citizen Lieutenant, I have a question where the hell have you been in the last 15 minutes?" Asked a clearly irritated Commander Monkiewicz. Lieutenant Rudy fidgeted, he was going to get a hard time for this.
Lieutenant Commander Monkiewicz wasn't one of the most lenient commanders in 9th Fleet come back 2nd Fleet and any protocols even in peacetime he made sure they were followed to the letter, and the outbreak of war even if there is no chance of the enemy threatening them only increased the commander's strictness, hell slightly retooled ships like the Czujny effectively inflicted massive losses on the Parpaldians, but no, Monkiewicz wasn't accepting such excuses.
"Citizen Lieutenant Commander, we've been busy..." Rudy considered how to present this not-so-everyday situation. Feeling the breath of his commander as if it was above his neck, he decided to go with the flow and follow the advice, which was a bit unsuitable for a member of the communist armed forces but was taken from an old 19th century Polish comedy Let Heaven's Will Be Done. One must always agree with it.
"I report that the unknown ship, upon our calls, turned sideways towards us and began flashing a light which, after subsequent events, I can conclude was Morse code." If the Commodore had any comment on this he was most likely not going to share it with him.
"Then a melody of medium quality came out of the ship which after a long while we understood as Dabrowski's Mazurka, and then the unknown commander introduced himself to us in the Polish language and that they wanted to meet our president." The silence that fell after these words on the other side made it clear that everyone there on Hel was stupefied.
"Can you repeat that, Citizen Lieutenant? What happened there?" After quite a noticeably long moment as, the lieutenant checked it took three long minutes, during which time he heard the national anthem begin once more.
Doubtless the workers on the site were already awake too and wondering if we were drunk on this ship.
Further contemplation was interrupted by the radio ringing again. "Citizen Lieutenant, we understand your problems, you are to make contact with this ship and await the arrival of OORP Zawzięty and Groźny. Understood?" You could hear in the Commander's voice that he couldn't believe he was saying that.
"Understood, Citizen Lieutenant Commander. Over and out." Replied a surprised Rudy that he accepted his strange report without any problem Monkiewicz but with relief.
"I guess you got away with it, didn't you, Lieutenant?" The radio operator said and Rudy only nodded.
Hel Military Port
At the same time
"Young, you know what, go get a bottle," said Commander Monkiewicz to his adjutant, wiping his forehead with sweat.
The adjutant was surprised by the order, his commander drinks on duty? That doesn't happen every day.
"Are you deaf or what? Bring it on yesterday!" Growled angrily Monkiewicz and the adjutant quickly saluted and ran out.
In turn, the Commander said to himself. "How can I tell the Rear Admiral this? That one of my best commanders has gone mad along with his entire crew?"
The radio operator next to him raised his shoulders as if to say, what's it to me Officer? That's your problem.

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
Mrs. Hoga Haruko who is the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry or METI for short, once again wanted to hang herself out of despair. In fact, it was not the first time since she took the job from her predecessor two weeks ago and the predecessor from her.
The last year has been a disaster, especially when it comes to METI's ministers, of whom her predecessor lasted the longest, because a whole three months before he resigned from the job they cannot stand the pressure. Unsurprisingly, it was the same for all economy-related ministers who couldn't make it.
She herself cannot remember when she slept more than two or three hours.
There was no way, as they went from crisis to crisis trying to keep the crumbling economy together and the constant juggling of people managing this already burning circus only made matters worse.
Of the good news, fortunately food rationing will be lifted in the next few days and the spectre of famine has receded. The same when it comes to supplying more or less enough raw materials that, for example, oil rationing will be lifted by the end of this month.
So much for the good news, bad news is that even with the opening of the market throughout Parpaldia or a negotiated trade agreement with Mu economy will shrink 25% of the total before the transfer and the recovery will take the next decade if not longer, although due to the suspension of some of the already de facto dead regulations rather predict a rapid rebound.
Unfortunately the problem is that Japan's production capacity is greater than all foreign markets put together even wide open can absorb, so whether they want or not they must force themselves to raise the technological level of these countries, therefore the Prime Minister ordered a partial shut eye on Polish purchases of Japanese companies, hoping in this way that after raising technologically and thus economically will be easier to trade with them.
And investment to increase Polish prosperity so that they buy more. Roderius together with the island kingdoms has only 1/4 of the entire Polish economy in terms of goods absorption capacity and size.
Generally they have managed to have quite successful talks with Parpaldia and in exchange they have mediated and encouraged Poland to make peace.
Unfortunately, there were also problems like a huge workers strike of a shoe manufacturing company which was bought out by a certain Radoskor. The reason for this, unfortunately, was a rumor spread by a well-known party that the Polish company was going to take all its equipment with it and lay off the workers. Of course, it was necessary to deal with this matter because the sudden dismissal of a large number of people will increase the already large group of unemployed in the country.
The unemployed are a real problem for the company and the expenses of helping the growing number of them to find new jobs or creating new companies for them to have jobs are growing more and more.
So far, the first talks yesterday between the union representing the workers of the plant and Radoskór envoys were interrupted when the meeting room was burst with demonstrators demanding that the Polish company immediately hand over the plant to the Japanese again.
It took all her patience and willpower not to explode in the hall and say what she thinks about such cretins like them.
Fortunately, it didn't discourage the Poles too much although it hurt her a little to talk after the incident.
"Ms. Haruko, may I know why there is no state of emergency imposed in Japan?" Asked Radoskor representative Stanislaw Bak out of curiosity.
"The problem with that is that he has been introduced for over a year." She replied dispassionately hiding her anger as well as her fear at such a loss of face from the foreigners.
"That's weak, that dear of yours mili..." he paused for a moment to correct himself "...the police could have handled it if it was at our place." He whistled to himself. "They would have chased such troublemakers home once and for all, but before that they would have taken the loudest ones to the police station to 'cool off'."
Hearing this made her sick and she had to apologize and go to the toilet. She knew perfectly well what he meant by cool down, as everyone in the government had to learn about the Gierek era and how it ended. And what she learned about June 76, by the way the main city where it took place was the one where Radoskor came from, sickened her. Those health paths sounded like a sick joke of sadists, and they got it for wanting bread and to live with dignity.
Then she came back after a slightly longer stay and he went on as if nothing was going on with the others as if talking about the weather.
"Filthy bastard," she said to herself, sitting down at her desk. She looked at the charts on the computer but everything was twitching in her eyes, seeing this she sighed.
"I don't have a head for this" she muttered so she put the laptop to sleep then left her desk to walk around, make herself some coffee and relax in the fresh air.
She was surprised to find that the sun was rising outside her window. "Damn, I spent all night in the office again." She muttered to herself for once while looking out the window on her way to the kitchen. Thankfully, aside from the few carriage drivers and security guards, no one was hanging around the hallways. They had probably either gone home or worked like she had all night.
Then after reaching her destination she started to make herself a coffee, because the secretary for this job was not there, she had fired her yesterday assuring her that she would be home for the night. Another lie of many she told in these two weeks to appease people's hearts. Or to get along with conscienceless people though the latter are more for themselves.
While waiting for the water to boil to pour it into the pot she took the phone in her hand.
"More messages, from various people to take care of this or that problem." She muttered while looking through the large list of them until suddenly a message from her husband appeared to her eyes.
Driven by a hunch she opened it and what she read made her curse loudly. Her husband had just been laid off from the corporation where he had worked for the last fifteen years, slowly climbing the ranks. He was doing quite well, after all, and he rather liked this job, as he kept reminding her.
At least until the transfer, since then he was less and less happy and the reminders of what he did and whom he met began to disappear. And since she, the humble head of one of the departments in METI, was promoted to minister, he revived for a moment, as if led by hope. Unfortunately, as you can see it was illusory, since she had no time for him, not even for children. Unlike her colleagues, she preferred to work despite having her children and being married.
She was afraid of what would happen if her husband lost his job while she was at work. She had no illusions, as she could clearly see when more and more companies went bankrupt or were close to it, including her husband's company. And unfortunately as you can see.
Everything that held her husband together disappeared in one moment and she was not with him at that moment and the subsequent messages he sent her made it clear that he had gone on a full-on drinking binge. Her worst nightmare had come true.
As she read the drunken messages she suddenly jumped up as her phone suddenly rang. The number that popped up was a bad sign.
"Moshi-Moshi here Minister Haruko." She said uncertainly and the answer she got froze her. And so stupefied she listened and confirmed everything she needed to in the conversation. When it was over she didn't even turn her attention to the pot that had been boiling for a long while, she just threw the phone on the floor.
She then wailed loudly and fell to her knees. The sound of crying and boiling water attracted one of the ushers who came into the kitchen and quickly turned off the stove and tried to comfort the crying minister.
He knew perfectly well why she was crying, because her husband in a drunken amok got into a car and started a police chase after him which eventually ended with him falling off a bridge and smashing the car and himself being taken to a hospital in a very serious condition. Apart from him, there were twenty or so other people whom he injured in a drunken rage, and only thanks to a huge luck none of them died.
Of course, this was not the only such a event since the transfer, nor the first one, but it quickly became the most famous of all, because for the first time it happened to a person so well known and so connected with the government. Although the suicide of one of the ministers was swept under the carpet and sold as a death from a heart attack. Overall, this night was remembered as one of the worst nights in Japan.

Empire of Parpaldia
Captain John "141" Cena
1st Assault Battalion
Las Tenebris, Armory Area 4, Empire of Parpaldia
Captain Cena took one last look through the night vision scope on the AKM at the hidden enemy outpost. Their platoon was about to hit the armory, they had relatively little time to complete the task and the area to search was not that small. In short, another impossible mission for him and his men.
Fortunately, they had sniper and mortar support and in the air was a SU-20 key, ready to turn the whole area into a smoking crater with thermobaric and cluster bombs, so that not even a stone was left from the target.
Meanwhile, Karaluch muttered under his breath but so that the rest of the platoon could hear him. "Am I the only one who thinks the name of the operation is bullshit?"
"Be quiet Karaluch, by the way, what's a fart in a windmill?" Mydło replied shortly.
Karaluch was about to reply to the blurb but the moment there were shots of snipers destroying points of light and killing guards followed by the sound of falling mortar grenades, he froze.
"Move forward by leaps and bounds and remember fast and quiet" Cena said and then the entire 40 man platoon moved forward by leaps. The first team would run and then they would fall to the ground and cover their teammates who ran after them. From time to time one of the teams would open up to the enemies between the buildings.
After a short while they reached the buildings, and Cena gave new orders. "As planned, the first team goes to the barracks, the second team goes to the warehouses on the right, the warehouses on the left are secured by the third team. The fourth goes with me to the main building."
The individual sergeants said a quick "Understood" After which they took their teams to their objectives. The battles themselves were short and quick, what is there to say, the Parpaldians had yet to get their act together although the garrison commander reacted quickly to this attack but it was of no use against a well-coordinated team of killers trained to make a diversion in the NATO rear.
Each clash followed this simple pattern, the encounter, the slow reaction of the Parpaldians, or their quick but missed reaction even though their weapons were much more accurate than the gunpowder ones, followed by the action of the Poles which could hardly be called anything other than an execution. If a guard fell down but did not die, he was killed immediately.
There was no difference if it was military or civilian, the orders were clear, kill everyone in the armory, fortunately there was nobody except the scientists from the armory, it was thought that keeping the families of civilians in this place would not be a good idea, which reduced all moral conflicts to a minimum, although one must admit that it was all the easier, because the civilians also tried to resist.
Easier to blow the head off someone who defends himself anyway, than one who surrenders. Unluckily for some, some important ones were to be taken alive anyway and taken home.
Unfortunately, as it happens in war, something must go wrong. This was also the case. When the unit of sergeant "Kaszel" the commander of the third squad secured their objective. Kaszel himself was a peer of Cena, although where Cena was a partisan, Kaszel took part in the Battle of Berlin as one of Berling's men, soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division, which took part in the fight for the city and had the opportunity to drive the Polish flag on the Brandenburg Gate.
"Zone secured Sergeant" reported Kaszlo to his subordinate nicknamed "Topór".
"Good, find the junk that will clear the command's head, if you find anything interesting pack it in your backpack, our knockers are to be destroyed."
"Yes sir Citizen Sergeant" Topór replied, incidentally the son of the General who had made it easy for him to get into the battalion. Not that he is a weak soldier, there are none under Kaszel, everyone is trained to the limit of his damn abilities and whether the son of a peasant or a general. Kaszlo doesn't care.
And probably everything would have been fine until suddenly an arrow hit one of the soldiers of "Kic"'s team, fortunately each of them had bulletproof vests bought in Japan and in this way the shooter instead of killing him, only harmlessly stuck an arrow into the material because he was not able to pierce the kevlar attack.
They would have stared longer if not for the fact that more shots were fired, forcing the Poles to hide.
"Who is it?" Shouted Bruno.
"Fuck knows, shoot them, they're in the woods!" Shouted Topór and then opened fire with his LMG into the woods seeing them plain as day in his night vision scope.
"Radzio, call for mortars to cover those bastards." Commanded Kaszel to the squad radio operator. He then opened up to the opponents attacking them. They looked a little funny in those hoods, well and light plates of armor overlaid on top of the leather-jackets. He immediately took down the first three with short bursts.
The duel was a bit ridiculous, they were forced into hiding by a bunch of guys in medieval armor who were shooting block bows?
"Wait, am I seeing this right? They are shooting with modern bows?" Shouted a soldier without a nickname, Zygmunt. Whereupon an arrow from the light was thrust right next to him.
"Oh fuck, they use magic!" He shouted after which he fired a burst in the direction the arrow came from.
Immediately after, mortar grenades began to fall on the enemies, reducing the avalanche of arrows falling on their positions. As a result, they were able to nail their opponents to the ground with ease.
The enemy, seeing the ineffectiveness of the attack, began to try to retreat but the constant dropping of mortar grenades plus a veritable cannonade of fire from the Polish soldiers made it impossible.
Probably they would have continued like that until they all died, but one of the enemy soldiers seeing the ineffectiveness of smoke spells or fog decided to blind them.
A sudden attack of very strong light blinded Poles and only mortars continued to fire because they could not see their target directly.
Kaszel took a long time to collect himself after this attack. He blinked to himself like that for a few minutes and listened to the slowly quieting moans of the wounded enemies as they faded away.
"Damn, we were lucky, if those bastards weren't so interested in fucking up the jumps they would have slaughtered us all." Kicio muttered while simultaneously shaking his head like a wet dog hoping to make this time blindness go away faster.
Cough agreed with him in spirit. After which he turned to Radzio at the radio and the latter told him. "Citizen Sergeant, the Captain is asking for status. What should I say?"
"Relay that the unknown enemy has been repulsed and we are moving on to find out who it was." He then turned to the squad. "Topór, Marek, Zygmunt get your asses in gear and check it out for me. He wants to know what kind of son of a bitch came up with the brilliant idea to attack us."
The summoned soldiers quickly nodded and moved cautiously to the battlefield to check the dead bodies.
Tenebris Forest
Red Belts, the special service squad of the Kingdom of Riem
The scream of a badly wounded soldier being treated by their orderly spread through the camp. The morale of the soldiers was rather nasty, what in theory was supposed to be a quick and simple action ended up in a massacre.
"Whose brilliant idea was this?" asked the usually jokester of the squad Marton sarcastically.
"Our intelligence chief Arlat," replied the deputy commander Versemit "according to him today the outpost was to be emptied of some soldiers and moved to protect another important outpost, which in theory using these..." Here he carried a modern bow, bought in Japan "konpado we were to shoot the guards to their feet, take over the research and scientists for Riem," here he paused for a moment "and this Polish equipment."
"Damn, the intelligence service obviously gave a shit, I should have predicted that the Poles would be interested in this place too and would send their boys!" Shouted Marton
"Keep it down cymbal you want to bring the chase down on us? We barely got out of this slaughter alive. I'm in no hurry to get into another 'fight' with them. I have yet to live." Said Motes, the best archer in the squad.
"Yes? I'm sorry sir best archer, well it will be quieter, after all the intelligence heard rumors about how in less than a day the Poles captured their capital, or how they made Duro one big bonfire, or how in less than a day they arrived from the coast to their capital. And let's not forget their cursed thunders which destroy everything they can from the air." Replied Marton very quietly almost in a whisper with obvious fury.
"You forgot to mention their ghosts, which we apparently had the opportunity to meet." Added one of the soldiers by the fire a man named Stano.
"That's right, those shitty souls..." His further statement was interrupted by loud thunder, followed by a series of small explosions and then a huge explosion after which the night sky lit up, illuminated by a mushroom. Everyone in the camp was speechless, they were quite lucky that the camp was in a small valley and quite far from the place of the explosion.
"What the hell was that?" Said their commanding officer Major Venon Roshe who came outside buoyed by the noise.
"A lesson to the Parpaldians that there is nothing to joke about with the Poles." Stano said.
Mi-8
Captain Cena calmly smoked a cigar and watched the enemy outpost cease to exist from a safe distance in the cockpit of the helicopter hearing the broken radio reports coming out of the pilots headphones.
"Job done what Mr. Manager?" One of the pilots asked him. Cena, out of politeness, did not correct him on the obligatory in addition to used, really only at the highest levels, comrade, or citizen. First of all he wasn't really a communist by conviction, secondly he served Poland first and foremost, no matter what it was but if it could be better then why not help, right?
"As always, pilot, as always." Replied the Old Captain, a former Cichociemny who had successfully mingled with the commies. Always a loyal soldier of the Second Republic.
He then looked at the people and equipment in the cargo hold. The Major they had retrieved from his cell under the main building clearly showed signs of a very invasive interrogation, talking senselessly from time to time and bearing the marks of having been "persuaded" by Parpaldia's intelligence officers.
But this worried him little, he was more afraid of what they found in the warehouses, it was impossible to take everything, but they took some. He was especially afraid of a certain small cube which, according to the data given only to his information, would be a magic atom.
Let us also not forget the rifle, which would not be out of place in Star Wars or any other sci-fi movie. Though clumsy, it fired quickly and as a small test they fired a burst into the wall, easily blowing it to pieces in a series of barely graspable flashes of light.
He wondered about one thing. Do the Parpaldians have something even more dangerous in their facilities and for some unexplained reason not used in battle. It's probably something to do with mana, if I remember correctly, from what we learned from the natives some ancient magical artifacts they are unable to use due to the fact that humans don't have enough mana to use it in real life.
He smiled under his breath. "Science 1, Magic 0." He muttered to himself.
April 14, 1640 C.C.Y/ 1975 P.C/ 2016 J.C
Armoury Number 8
Chief Warlock Arbunus Dumbliirdor was biting his nails and cursing the whole world, at the bad and cowardly emperor, at the weak sumpreme commander, and at those damned Poles and damned sneaky Japanese who poisoned the whole ruling elite with their lies.
Blowing up Armory Number 4 so that there would be a crater, that's something too, he said to himself, remembering the news which finally killed the morale of the ruling elite.
Oh, he'll show them, he'll show them. Thanks to his brilliant plan, he's going to take down Japan and fucking Poland, and anyone else who gets in his way! Sorry Parpaldia on the way to her obvious glory and power.
And so pacing around his office he waited for news. It wasn't a very tidy office, there was a lot of rubbish, sorry, precious magical artifacts, many of them collected by his predecessors.
Namely, the Head Warlocks and Headmasters of the Greatest and Largest School of Magic and Wizardry with a simple meaningless name of Hogward and whose magical talking portraits hung on the walls of the study.
Armory Number 8 is the code name for this hidden school, which only selected students from all over the world are allowed to enter. To get here is a great honor for everyone. They did not accept just anyone, only those with potential, teaching them the most difficult art of wielding magic through wands and magic words, not that it is necessary per se to use magic, but as history has shown, the best results were obtained by using wands whose use and production was a closely guarded secret.
It was people like these who were the reason why none of the great powers tried to attack the Third Zone of Civilization, or at least Arbunus thought so.
Further contemplation was interrupted by a knock on his office door.
"Come in." Said Arbunus in a commanding tone after investigating who it was, after all he has to maintain his reputation against the usual grey and dark mass to be led right? Towards those who knew the truth he did not pretend to be a nice grandfather.
That was also the case when his trusted Servant and Spy came into the office, well yes not very trusted but because he had incriminating evidence he had to listen to the better one right?
"My Lord. The machine is ready as per your order. When should we start the tests?" He said with a cold and even machine-like tone to his master.
"Now, moreover this is to be a full test of all its capabilities and I have perfect practice targets." Replied Arbunus, if the servant had any objection he did not let it be known.
"Good, Severin, now go away, I have to prepare the coordinates for the pilot." He added after a long moment Arbunus looking out the window at the well visible runway where the prepared machine stood.
A machine that would not be out of place at all if placed on a modern US Navy aircraft carrier.
Welcome back to the faithful readers of my writings. This is the latest chapter in our somewhat lengthy soap opera. As you can see, Parpaldia's arc is coming to an end and not in the classic NHS fanfic style, which means Parpaldia falls down and smashes his stupid snout.
Well, in addition to the wishes it's time to say thank you, and a small request that but if you read regularly, indicate that you at least follow, and guests I encourage you to create an account to be able to do so, no big deal just fun to watch as our circle expands.
Especially since NHS Kai has seriously thrown down the gauntlet to anyone who wants to write their own variations of this story about country X arriving. Hopefully I can at least match them. I have no hope of surpassing them.
Okay, that's enough rambling, time for explanations!
PZN - Zjednoczenie Przemysłu Naftowego/Oil Industry Association. Polish Oil Company, which as the name suggests extracted oil. It exists to this day after a merger with another company that extracted Natural Gas. The merger took place in 1976, so in a way you know the future that will happen here.
The company itself today is called PGNiG and is one of the largest Polish companies with international success.
Citizen and Comrade - As you have noticed I started to write citizen instead of comrade. This is due to two facts. At the beginning I didn't want to make your brain water and wonder why Poles call each other citizen. But after browsing through the era for a bit longer, I was forced to put low-level characters in their sentences because that's how they spoke in the People's Republic of Poland! I thought it needed to be explained a bit, which is kind of in the chapter.
But I want to add that this is due to the fact that the use of comrade mainly concerned the ruling party. Ordinary Poles were told to say "Obywatel" (Citizen), which is rather poorly accepted, as illustrated by a statement made by one of the policemen in the famous series of books "Pan Samochodzik" for children, where the policeman says to one of the characters that he is "Panem" (Sir, Mister,Lord) off duty, while on duty he is "Obywatel" (Citizen).
And now, somewhat traditionally, another joke from the Eastern Bloc.
In 1946, a peasant rushes into the militia headquarters and shouts that American
American soldiers have stolen his cow!
- Relax, there are no American soldiers here. What did they look like?
- Wearing trunks, jackboots, overgrown, smelling of moonshine.
- They were Soviet soldiers.
- But I did not say that!
Thank you to everyone who read the end. I wish you a pleasant time reading this.
And remember, Lightning is Red.
