"I died with vampire blood in my system and woke up in transition…"

"Wait. Wait. You said you woke up in transition but I could smell the scent of human blood from you."

"Let me finish Kol."

"Fine, continue."

"I woke up in transition and soon the council took us, me, Stefan and Rebekah, we were locked in separate cells in a cabin in Young farm. Stefan knew I hadn't fed yet, so he and Rebekah they planned and killed a guard so that I could complete the transition. I reached out for the blood but before I could bring the blood to my lips my time was up, I died.

"Wait, so I am guessing Bonnie brought you back to life."

"No" she shakes her head, "It was your brother's doing, he fed me the elixir before he started to drain me, although none of us knew that the elixir will still hold its affects on me after I died with vampire blood in my system."

"But it did work. You're here, I'm surprised Niklaus blames you for something because clearly he would have taken you with him after you came back human. And everything when you're in Niklaus' company happens according to his will. He is more controlling than you can ever imagine."

"No actually, your brother left for Chicago and Rebekah left for Europe, she knew everyone here hated her and after killing me, even more so, she didn't want to stay in the place where all she gets is hate, so she left. She informed Klaus that I died because I couldn't complete the transition, so Klaus had no reason to stay in Mystic Falls. It was two days later that I woke up gasping for air. Thankfully no one had buried me. I was lying in a coffin and they had just had my funeral, I was lucky that I didn't sat up on my coffin in the presence of so many people."

"Dying and coming back to life, obviously entire Mystic Falls would have freaked out on seeing you alive the next day?"

"No, when I woke up gasping for air, Caroline and Damon were still in the hall."

Flashback

Caroline, "Did you hear that?"

Damon looks at Elena's coffin and then back at Caroline, there is a silent exchange of emotions between them and soon both of them are standing right next to her coffin. They open the coffin and see Elena awake.

"Elena, you're awake." Caroline covers her mouth with hands, happy tears float down her eyes, "You're awake." She repeats.

And soon Damon is next to her putting a finger on her lips, "We cannot let anyone know."

Damon and Caroline speed Elena to the Salvatore Boarding house, where her friend Bonnie is the only one to know she is alive and they decide to place a cloaking spell on her.

"I am not leaving Jeremy, he deserves to know that I am alive."

B, "Elena, if Klaus learns that you're alive, he will come back for you. Also his hybrids are everywhere, one word from any of them and the cycle begins, like the first time you were abducted and no one knew, I think it's best if you stay cloaked."

"But Bonnie, what about my studies, I have to graduate."

C, "Don't worry about that, I will bring notes to you, you can study from home and as for graduation, I will compel the principal to make you your passing certificate using which we can apply for college."

"But Care, if I am marked as dead in Mystic Falls."

Caroline covers her mouth with her palm, "Hush, I have got that covered, I have thought of everything."

Present

Elijah's witches call him and give him the location of the girl. Klaus who had been eavesdropping leaves even before Elijah has the chance to turn around. Within no time Klaus reaches the same Café cum Bar and sees Elena sitting and talking to Kol. He breaks his brother's neck again and speeds Elena to an alley away from the bar. When Elena's back hits the wall, she opens her eyes and sees Klaus holding both her arms and his fangs showing.

Something flashes in her eyes and she pushes him, she pushes him and grabs an iron rod from the side and shoves it in his heart, holding the other end she says, "I said I won't let anyone hurt me, least of all you."

He chuckles and splutters some blood out of his mouth and then says, "Oh yes, the lovely Elena, you won't let anyone harm you." He kicks her on the knee making her loose balance and takes the iron rod out of his heart. He watches as she sits holding her right knee.

"Yes, I am sorry I forgot Miss Petrova, the true way to hurt this one is to kill the people she loves."

He bites into his wrist and force feeds her his blood, she tries to push him away but he is using all his strength to hold her in place. Once she is healed he backs away, she stands up and turns to him, he was giving her a mocking grin when he said, "I will kill them one by one and I will see you break, do you hear me."

Elena has had enough with Klaus, she has taken enough of his nonsense, she walks towards him, keeps her hand on his heart and says, "You never truly loved anyone right" he was still giving her that smug smirk, he was amused at her reaction, he holds her wrist with one hand and covers her hand with hers, Please sweetheart, do continue, what you have to say touching my heart." He gives her a wolfish grin.

Elena looks at him with hate in her eyes, "Fine, then I curse you to fall in love deeply and madly with someone and when you realize that this is the person you cannot live without, you lose that person and this cycle repeats over and over and over again."

By the time she has finished her sentence his grip on her hand has loosened, she takes her hand back in a swift motion and then she leaves the alley. Klaus stands there alone, staring at the ground.

Unbeknown to Elena, she had cursed him to love her, there is a very thin line between love and hate and when she cursed him, she was the only one he had the strongest emotion for at that time in his heart, all that he was feeling at that time was extreme hatred for her because he believed that Caroline because of her and once she put the curse on him, he was left baffled at the streets, he was left to nothing, he felt so confused that time that he didn't know what he must do. He was so confused that time that he didn't even move from his place, he just stood there staring at the ground.

Elena didn't know about her new found powers, she was extremely disturbed herself, emotionally, mentally to notice that she had indeed overpowered the hybrid twice and his sister once, when she cursed Klaus all she said was what she felt, not in the world she had the idea that her powers rooted the curse in his heart and she was the first person from here on that he would love and then lose.
