Chapter 4: First day/the new girl
AN:
hello everyone I wish to introduce to my new story after the success of the dipper x reagan fanfic I would like to try this. A new type of story based on the epithet academy by exotos135 (give it a read after you read this chapter.) this is an loud house x epithet erased x owl house fanfic in the epithet erased universe. This first arc is gonna be seven chapters to set up stuff then I plan to do some chapters that is just r&r before I make another arc. Also some characters will be OOC for story purposes (the most prominent will be one of lincolns new moms) also I rolled randomly for each character introduced's epithet save for mera, indus, and Odalia (because I have a specific one for her in mind which kinda fits.) so if you think an epithet doesn't fit then it is because I followed the rules of the rpg from jello himself and rolled three random words and chose the one I could best work with… also I would like to ask you… who should lincoln date because I plan to have either harem scenario with girls his age or a single girl: the girls you have a choice from or would be in the harem are: Luz, lorelai blyndef, Boscha, Willow, Young percy (aged down to age 13), Maggie, and/or Molly blyndeff I'll have a poll made up by the time this story is up and will annouce the winner when the seven chapters are up.
Lincoln unbuckled his seat belt and exited the car. He stood next to indus and waited for mera to exit the vehicle. Once she was out she followed lincoln and indus into the school.
"Remember lincoln, make lots of new friends and listen to your teachers. Also I'll see you in gym class." indus beamed with his usual cheeriness.
"what he said, also, try not to get too roughed up… odalia will freak if I let you get injured on your first day of epithet mastery class." Mera added holding lincoln's hand.
"Yes ma'am,"
"you know you can call me mom… if you want."
"Lady mera…" Indus gasped. "Have you finally accepted your role as lincolns mother?"
"Indus!" mera exclaimed. "I was just trying to be nice… we all know who lincoln favors." Mera tried to hide a blush.
"It's okay, I don't mind calling you mom… I always thought you didn't like me."
"Of course I like you… it's just that odalia takes every chance she can get to keep you to herself." Mera said, a little twinge of jealously in her voice.
Lincoln looked forward at the school "you know, I've always wanted to hang out with you but you're always stressed."
"Well, we'll have to do something together soon." Mera replied a small smile hidden by her turned face. She couldn't believe it, she always thought that only odalia and indus liked her. She would've swore that lincoln was scared of her… but if he cares about her then she'll definetly make time for him.
Indus had tears in his eyes as he began to sniffle. "it is so beautiful. Especially since mera has written in her diary how she doesn't feel like apart of the family due to odalia hogging you."
The pavement underneath mera's feet began to crack… a sure sign that mera was upset and lost control of her epithet. She released lincoln's hand when she it began to soften. "Indus… how do you know what's in my diary?"
"I read it."
a snap as bits of the pavement broke off and an dark fury covered mera's face. "what?"
"Yes, I was worried about you and in order to better understand you I read your diary. You have a lot of poems for lady odalia that are really good… If not a little lewd. You should read them to her."
"Indus! You do not read my journal." Mera was about to charge the man but one look at lincoln and the thought of what odalia would say if lincoln was exposed to her fighting her bodyguard. "Lincoln… sweetie, you go ahead. Mommy and uncle indus need to have a serious talk about the importance of privacy." Mera had a forced smile on her face and one nod from lincolns head told her he got the point.
Lincoln bolted to his homeroom while the sounds of crashing and cracking behind him let the boy know that this was gonna be a very expensive… talk.
It's a good thing his mothers rich.

Lincoln sat in the back of the class looking around him. A lot of these kids didn't have epithets until a few months ago where as lincoln has had two years to study his… which gave him an unfair advantage depending on which student you compare him too.
The girl next to him was a childhood friend that he met a couple times at the gala's odalia would take him too… boscha and her best friend skara sat on the other side of her.
Boscha dressed in black dress pants and a dark pink blouse which made her pale skin pop and her red eyes even more threatening. Boscha always had a little make up on but never let her harm get past her neck.
"hey mama's boy, you ready to get creamed during epithet combat class?" Boscha whispered, showing lincoln a picture of him knocked out at her feet.
"Not a chance triplet… don't worry I'll go easy on you." Lincoln teased back smiling.
"we're gonna be the best of the class… hope you don't mind coming in second."
"you know you shouldn't talk to yourself… it makes you crazy."
Boscha and lincoln lightehearted made both of them more comfortable. Boscha has had her epithet since she was ten and it was a strong one… even though it came with a drawback that matched lincolns mother's.
The teacher entered the class then slapped her ruler on the desk catching the students attention.
"quiet children, I wish to welcome you to the sweet jazz city epithet school. It is here the you'll learn to master your epithet and become productive members of society. Now to start off I'd like you to give a warm welcome for our new exchange student she moved here from gravesfield and is new here… I will also assign her a student guide… lincoln, you're responsible enough for the task. Are you okay with that."
Lincoln nodded his head.
"Thank you, now let's give a warm welcome to luz nocenda… come introduce yourself dear." the teacher instructed a girl walked out in a pair of black shorts light blue shirt with white stripe, she had flawless tanned skin and yellow eyes that shined like diamonds. A perfect cut pixie hair style of brown coloration like the tastiest chocolate.
"Hello everyone my name is luz." she said in a voice as sweet as honey. Though she was still developing she was defiantly the prettiest girl in class.
The other girls in class had mixed feelings about her… they were both enchanted by beauty and jealous of it.
"I bet she's a real bitch… cute girls always are." boscha whispered to lincoln.
The boy couldn't take his eyes off her, she seemed so comfortable with all this. The boy smiled warmly he and luz met eyes.
"Oh my god, you like her… wait until skara finds out." Boscha said teasingly.
"I hope we can be friends in this school and develop our gifts." She said in a kind voice.
The teacher nodded her head. "Misses nocenda, please take the seat in front of lincoln and we'll get started in home room."
The girl looked at her seat and giggled making the whole classes heart melt as she walked toward it with a sexy flair for a high schooler. She winked at a couple class mates until she sat in front of lincoln.
While the rest of the class caught up on homework or read books the girl turned her body around to look at lincoln.
"So what's your name."
"Lincoln, lincoln blight." Lincoln introduced himself blushing.
"ooh, I guess that makes us beauty and the blight." she said, with that same silky voice.
Lincoln felt his heart race like a drum and he could felt his blood pumping. Normally girls didn't talk to him… because of odalia scaring them off by her impossibly high standards of who should date her… little linky.
"Yeah, uh well, I hope we can be friends."
"You want to be just friends lincoln blight… I'm a little disappointed. The boys at my last school were chopping at the bit to date me… girls too… but you just want to be friends. Looks like I'll have to chase you a little before I get what I want."
She said it like it was a mission of hers. She had all the others in class eating out of the palm of her hands.
"your epithet has something to do with charming doesn't it?" Lincoln asked, pointing out a couple students throughout the class glaring at lincoln for talking to luz.
"clever boy," she purred, "my epithet is bewitching, which means that I can have anyone that finds me attractive completely obessessed with me… but you seem resistant to it. So what's your epithet."
"Mine's phenomenal."
"Ooo, what's it do?"
"Hold up little miss perfect," Boscha growled. "Lincoln doesn't have to tell you what his epithet is… I know your type, you use your looks to get what you want."
"whatever do you mean?" Luz said batting her eye lashes.
"You know what lincolns epithet does and you have an unfair advantage on him." boscha replied.
"Oh I see, you're his girlfriend!" Luz exclaimed smiling with stars in her eyes.
"w-what? No I'm not?"
"Oooh," luz said disappointed. "I just love drawing couples, here's my sketchbook." Luz pulled out a sketchbook from her bag and showed that she indeed had a whole sketch book of drawings that were of couples.
She sighed dreamily, "someday I want to find my otp, whether it's a boy or girl or something inbetween I just want someone who will be mine and mine alone."
boscha rolled her eyes "whatever… just stay out of my way."
Luz then slid her hand onto lincolns. "So if boscha isn't your girlfriend would you like to go on a date with me lincoln?"
Boscha began coughing aggressively. "You can't just ask him that?"
"Aha! You do love him… I knew it." luz laughed at boscha who glared at her with an intensity of a burning sun.
The bell rung to inform the class that homeroom was over and it was not time for epithet combat class… or at least this homerooms would be.
The students all rushed to the room with lincoln being flanked by boscha and skara who glared at luz who was surrounded by a horde of admirers.
"who does this new girl think she is?" Boscha asked, glaring at the smug girl.
"I think she's nice." Skara said, her eyes appraising the girl with a little smile on her face. "you think she'd be willing to go on a date with me?"
"you would be interested in her… you just can't say no to girls with strange eye colors."
"hey, you had your chance but you turned me down…"
"it wasn't specificly you that I ws rejecting… I'm just into guys rather then girls."
"you're loss." Skara said flanking lincoln.
The kids made their way to the gym which was outfitted with reinforced walls and a raised platform for epithet combat.
"alright kids, today we are gonna do teams of two in a combat scenario. The goal is knock your opponent out, make them quit, or cause them to fall off the platform to the cushions. I leave you in the care of mr. Tarbella."
Indus came out shirtless with his red shorts a huge grin on his face. One look at his psyhique of the musclur god that was lincolns bodyguard was enough to make a lot of the girls save for boscha, skara, and luz weak at the knees.
"Only class you never know when your epithet will be tested against another in the field of combat, so I will train you. Today we need to know what we're working with… the teams will be decided by students partnering up… let's see what you're epithet can do… my epithet is barrier!"
He flexed showing off and lincoln could see a few break marks indus flesh.
"gah, looks like mom did a real number on indus… normally she can get past his barriers…"
"Hey lincoln! Want to partner with me." Luz yelled waving arm overhead making a bunch of boys and girls glare at lincoln. They crowded around luz hoping to be chosen.
Lincoln gulped and walked up to her then nodded his head.
"alright now that you're all partnered up I will annouce the pairings…"
Indus went through the different pairings and when he finally got to lincoln he was told he would be fighting skara and boscha.
"Great, cruelty and chaos. Those are a pair of epithets that suck to go up against." Lincoln knew that of the two boscha was the damage dealer, anyone who touches her flesh when she is upset or in combat mode fills intense pain. If that wasn't bad enough she could sprout spikes from her hand to enhance her punch… not to mention her cruel irony ability which thanks to lincolns passive never seemed to work on him.
Skara on the other hand was a wild card because even though her epithet was powerful it was random. The only powers she could muster on her own was reversing someones luck and teleporting randomly even then they had a random effect every time she used the power which could be bad or good depending on what you want.
"alright warriors, take your place." indus called as the raised platform lowered. The two teams sat behind their highlights starting zones.
Boscha cracked her knuckles her game face serious.
Skara blew a kiss and winked at luz.
Luz meanwhile chuckled an embarrassed school girl.
Lincoln watched boscha and was already coming up with a plan.
A whistle let the two know they were going to fight and lincoln charged rushing toward.
The girl did the same as she ran toward him closing the distance. Once she was within punching distance lincoln ducked and leveled a kick into boscha's stomach. The girl grabbed his leg luckily boscha's stinging touch couldn't ut through clothes.
Lincoln leapt back and raised his fist in a defensive stance. He and boscha circled each other.
Boscha was the first to act throwing a punch which lincoln blocked. He would've counter attacked by his arms felt like they were just hit by tiny needles.
Boscha smiled, "you didn't think I'd spent the summer sitting on my hands did ya mama's boy."
Lincoln cracked a grin and swiped boscha's leg knocking her down. "No, but then again, neither did I."
Boscha hopped up and began using a series of jabs, uppercuts, and haymakers pushing lincoln back toward the edge of the platform.
Lincoln felt himself reached the end of the line.
"Gotcha!" Boscha ran forward with her fist but lincoln sidestepped her and she had to bounce on one foot to stay on the platform. She turned to lincoln and started to breath heavily. "you always were the man with the plan weren't ya."
"Yeah, I always will be too." Lincoln said returning to his defensive stance. He knew it was just a matter of time before the normally hot headed boscha would make a mistake and then he'd capitalize.
"you should really try out for the football team, make a man out of you." Boscha said mimicking lincolns stance as the two once again circled each other.
"you know that my mama won't let me try out." Lincoln remember asking odalia if he could and she almost had a heart attack thinking on all the things that could hurt him. Mera had tried talking to her but she was stubborn as a mule when it came to lincolns safety.
"Pfft mama's boy." Boscha saw her chance and leaped forward with a haymaker but lincoln weaved out of the way and threw one of his own knocking boscha off guard allowing him to press his advantage.
Lincoln begin using measured strikes to eat away at boscha's defenses as the pale skinned girl blocked to the best of her abilities.
Lincoln had been fighting his whole life. Whether it was scraps with his sisters, training with indus, or even the occasional fight with chandler and his goons lincoln grown adept at combat. He knew where to hit and when to strike.
Boscha's guard was full of holes which was usual for her. Boscha had been in as many fights as lincoln and trained like mad for her football team.
Lincoln landed a lucky shot in boscha's forehead knocking her back as lincoln prepared another round of strikes. He felt his fists burn from the constant contact with boscha's skin and he knew that he couldn't keep this up for long… this war of attrition was coming to an end.
Lincoln decided in an all or nothing bit. Lowered his guard and smiled at boscha. "give me your best shot."
"Ha! You wouldn't survive… why would you want that?"
"What, are you too scared." Lincoln's lip curved into a cocky grin.
Boscha growled and she summoned spikes punching lincoln as hard as she could drawing a stream of blood from his forehead.
"Oh my god, lincoln! I'm so sorry!"
Lincoln couldn't believe how bad he was hurt. The cut burned like salt had been applied to it but he also knew that his plan worked. "show off." he whispered under his breath as his fingers began to protrude the same spikes that boscha's hand but instead of the usual bone his was pure metal.
"what the heck?" Punch to boscha stomach knocked the wind out of her. She gasped in surprise falling to her knees.
"Like it, it's a power I learned while training over the summer… it's called show or more accurately it allows me to copy an ability of another inscribed that I've seen and used a better version of it… the trick is I have to have seen the feature in no more then one minute before using it."
Boscha began to crawl as the pain overtook her. She began to feel her eyes close but a smile crept on her face. "I underestimated you, mama's boy… I won't do it again in our rematch." Boscha lifted her hand to show she gave up.
Indus blew his whistle. "the fight is over! Winner lincoln and luz!"
"wait what about skara?" Lincoln asked.
"Skara forfeited a minute in? She raised her hand but you were too busy in your epic clash with boscha to see." Indus remarked.
The platfrom descended and skara walked next to luz who then ran and jumped up on lincoln wraping her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck.
"we did it! I knew you were epic." she said in her excitable voice.
Skara cleared her throat and lincoln noticed that her left arm had purple spots all over it. "My payment gorgeous." she held out her hand with a smile.
Luz reached into pocket and pulled out a pen and pad then wrote something on it. "My number, call me soon beautiful."
"That was totally worth sabotaging boscha in her fight against lincoln… see you soon luz."
Lincoln did a double take. "you bribed her… so I could win the fight."
"I mean, she didn't do much… just gave you the winning edge. I could tell you and boscha were evenly matched so I tipped the scales." Luz pressed her fingers together. "are you mad at me?"
"No, it's just, no one has gone through that kind of trouble for me save for boscha." Lincoln replied blushing.
"well you're a special guy lincoln. Hey, here's my number." Luz said holding out a slip of paper once lincoln took it she leaned in and whispered. "I gave skara my home phone number… she'll have to get through my moms… that is my cell phone number… call me sometime."
Lincoln froze then he heard clapping.
"Lincoln, you dog. Been in class for less then an hour and you've already got the new girls number. I'm proud of you, you little heartbreaker… just don't let odalia find out or it's both our butts." Mera appeared behind lincoln with a smile.
"Mom! I-i don't know what your talking about. We're just friends." lincoln pouted not wanting to embarrass himself.
Mera chuckled, "sure kid, just like me and your mother started out as friends… anyway hit the showers and be sure to cover up that cut or odalia is gonna freak… understand I'll be in with a medical kit after your done."
"yes ma'am." Lincoln left to the showers with mera smiling at him.
"Our little man is growing up so fast." Indus said from behind mera. As he got kicked in the leg knocking him down.
"I'm still mad at you!" Mera exclaimed.
Mezentsevmicheal
Lincoln and all his siblings have epithets though I refuse to reveal them here… but as you now know lincolns is phenomenal and everyone in his school have an epithet… what would've been your suggestion for lincoln's epithet I just may use it later in the story… also yes after this first arc (8 chapters total) I'm gonna work on a couple of chapters on owl house the athlete and the owl then onto the r&r chapters for this fanfic.
