Chapter 7 The Lyoko Limbo
A.N. – Okay, so this place is really a place that exists. Like I said, this chapter is based off an episode in the original. I will reveal it at the end of this chapter. For now, let's witness the end of the fight with the security program!
Short Summary – Aelita has a plan to stop the security program for good. They rendezvous with Jeremy and explain everything. They must now survive a lengthy journey through Paris to get back to the factory, with a vengeful security program who is out for blood.

The girls arrive with the guys on their backs at Jeremy and Aelita's house. They place them down of the floor to allow them to rest. They know that the security program will soon arrive and kill them all, so this place was not safe. However, the security program wasn't the only one who spotted them.
"Aelita?" A voice behind them said. Both Yumi and Aelita turn around to see Jeremy standing there with a confused expression. "What are all four of you doing?"
"We can explain" Aelita starts.
"Hopefully, because this is ridiculous."
"Would it still be ridiculous if the security program returned?" Yumi asks.
"What are you talking about? He's dead. We defeated him, mostly you did."
"He was, but now he's back, and stronger than ever" Aelita says.
"How?"
"Remember the resurrection program Melissa told us about. Well, apparently Evil William got it before our final confrontation with him and within the year completed it and was able to resurrect the security program."
"He knew he wasn't going to win."
"Win or lose Jeremy, he had a back-up plan."
"I need an explanation right now."
"Back when we all reunited, Agent Chris recruited us for a spy mission to investigate mysterious disappearances of scientists. It was our choice, but the only thing that convinced us was that they all had a connection to the security program. The choice was obvious. We all got our Lyoko avatar outfits back and went on to find out the cause behind this. We all found out that Evil William could be behind this, and he was and then we stopped him, he was imprisoned, we thought it was over. He eventually broke out and he succeeded in resurrecting him. We are now locked in a fight for our world once more" Aelita explains.
"What are you doing here?"
"We need your help, Jeremy."
"Why?"
Aelita sighed. "I need you to send us with the security program and Evil William to the Lyoko limbo."
"Where is that?"
"The place where you were trapped when Yumi made a data calculation error in the virtualization procedure."
Yumi remembered how that day happened.
Yumi typed in the supercomputer preparing the virtualization. "Go!" Yumi says as she presses enter and Jeremy gets scanned. As he is scanned an error pop up on the screen. The scanner starts to make noises and it opens to reveal that Jeremy is nowhere to be seen.
"Yumi made a data capture error that blocked the system. He wasn't transferred to Lyoko, and he didn't come back to you and so he's out there blocked somewhere between us," Aelita explains. "Jeremy says we have to recover memory."
"We did it! We recovered the scanners memory!" Yumi says in excitement.
The group heads down to see Jeremy knocked out in the scanner, back from limbo.
Yumi snapped out of her reflections. "I completely forgot about that" Yumi says softly.
"Aelita, I can't send you there! There may be no way of return! I can't lose you again!" Jeremy pleads with her.
"It's a small sacrifice Jeremy. We might be lost, but if it means a way to finally be rid of the security program and save the lives of millions, it's a risk we'll have to take" Aelita tells him.
"Aelita, time will be short on this. I'll only have a couple of hours to bring you back before the supercomputer completely deletes you."
"We all know the risk, Jeremy." Aelita caresses his face with her hand. "Do this for us, for everyone." She then kisses him.
"I'll do it. I just hope you come back to us."
"Me too."
The guys at this time start to wake up. They all groan and sit up and look around knowing they are not dead.
"Either we are alive, or this is some messed up version of heaven" Ulrich says as he and Odd sit up.
"You are alive, but you are in a living hell" Aelita comments to them.
"Did we win?" Odd asks.
"Not even close. The security program was about to kill you, but we saved you" Yumi tells them.
"And now, he is gonna find us and kill us" Aelita adds.
"Listen, I need my laptop and then we'll head out to the factory. We'll end this fight today" Jeremy tells them as he grabs his laptop.
They all walked outside and planned to use the garden entrance, but it was immediately blocked before they entered. They all turned to see Evil William standing with his sword drawn.
"Sorry, but my master wants your heads and that is something I plan to deliver to him" Evil William comments to them.
"Well, give this message: He can go fuck himself!" Aelita screams.
"Correction, you'll be the ones who are fucked" the security program said as he appeared behind them.
Jeremy saw the newly constructed security program. "Who is this?"
"Ah, Jeremy, it's been quiet some time. Last time, I saw you, you were leading the resistance."
"You're…the…the…security program?!"
"New and improved." He tried to kill them all there but missed and took off into the forest. "After them!"
Evil William went on a chase through the forest with the security program close behind. The Lyoko Spies ran through the forest trying to find a way to lose these two. They knew they had to get back to the street in order to reach the factory faster. They eventually saw a clearing. Once they made it out, they saw the two approaching quickly. They tried to find where the factory was from their position.
"Well, a little lost are we" Evil William said as he held his sword ready to strike.
Suddenly a car came out of nowhere and slid at the two hitting them and send them flying. The back door opened.
"Come on! Get in!" Agent Chris said.
They all got in and sped away.
"Not so fast!" William said as he fired an energy blast at the tires and the car slid out of control. It crashed in a building and the airbags popped. They all came out and continued to run away as the two approached. Luckily, they were out of sight. "Let's find them." They went down the passageway in front of them, knowing they could not have gotten far.
They were running in the direction of the factory.
"Sec def, nice to see you again" Jeremy commented.
"Nice to see you too. Wish it were under different circumstances" sec def responded.
They all hid in a building once they were a good distance away from the security program.
"That could have gone better" Agent Chris said.
"Thanks for the assist anyway" Ulrich said.
"I always help my spies."
"Alright what's the situation?" Sec def asked.
"Well, right now the security program wants our blood, and we need to make it back to the factory to defeat him" Aelita says.
"Easy, if you weren't 20 miles out from it" Agent Chris comments.
"It's the only way."
The door suddenly blasts open. "Did you really think you can hide from me?" The security program says as he enters.
"This fucked sure is persistent" Ulrich says as they prepare to run.
"Go! I'll hold him" Sec def says.
"You won't win!" Aelita warns him.
"I don't plan to." He walks up to them. "Hey, you want someone, take me on."
"You are not an interest to me. But if you want me to kill you, then I'll be happy to obliege" the security program said.
Sec def pulled out his gun and shot him. He quickly self-healed and then he grabbed his neck and strangled him to death. He dropped his dead body and went to find the spies. The spies and Chris made it to the roof and saw the factory in the distance.
"There's our target" Agent Chris said pointing in the distance.
A part of the roof exploded, and the security program and Evil William's heads poked through.
"And there they are!" Yumi exclaims.
The Lyoko Spies and Agent Chris ran across the roofs and Evil William and the security program jumped up onto the roofs and ran after them. As they ran, the spies and Chris looked back and saw that the two were chasing after them. They reached the end of the rooftops and Chris slid to a stop.
"Whoa," Chris said as the others ran into him. "Any ideas?"
"We jump" Yumi suggests.
"We'll break our legs."
"I'll fly you down," Aelita tells him as they see the tow quickly approaching. "No time to argue."
"I'll grab Jeremy" Yumi suggests.
Aelita activates her wings and grabs Chris under her arms and gently puts him down on the ground as the others land safely. They run to the bridge of the factory.
"Not so fast!" Evil William said launching an energy blast at the bridge beams and one crashed and blocked access to factory by collapsing a part of the bridge.
"Plan B?" Agent Chris asks.
"Yeah, jump and swim. There's a hatch we can use to access the basement" Aelita explains.
All six of them jump into the lake below and all swim underwater to avoid being seen until it was too late. The other two jumped down and ran to the wall and didn't see them.
"Pretty weird way to go out. Commit suicide" Evil William points out.
"Keep your eyes open. They won't give up that easily" the security program said.
Suddenly all of them popped near the hatch. Luckily for them, they weren't spotted. They all climbed onto dry land. They unlocked and opened the hatch.
"C'mon, quickly!" Aelita urged them.
Suddenly, Evil William noticed them. "There! The hatch!"
"Forget about that! Get into the factory!" The security program exclaimed in response.
The two ran and jumped over the gap they created and went into the corridor. The spies and Chris all arrived in the basement.
"Now what?" Agent Chris asked.
"We got to get to the lab, so I can hook up my laptop to the supercomputer mainframe and do the virtualizations" Jeremy explained.
They rushed towards the main corridor and were stopped by Evil William, who blocked access to the elevator.
"And this is where your tragic story ends. Right where it all began…the factory" Evil William said with his sword drawn.
"Right, but this is also your end too. If we go down, we're taking you with us" Ulrich adds.
"I'd like to see you try."
Ulrich drew his sabers. "Get to the lab. I'll lure him to the scanners."
The others ran in the other direction and Ulrich and Evil William locked into combat one last time. Evil William tried a few quick attacks and he missed all of them. Ulrich tried to kick him, but he grabbed his foot and spun him around before he sent him flying. Ulrich just needed an opening to where he could enter the elevator.
The others entered the factory's boiler room. This was the last step between them and the lab, but the security program was waiting for them. "Hello spies, time to die" the security program said as he sent a blast at the boiler.
"The boiler is gonna blow!" Yumi exclaimed.
"Let's get the hell out of here!" Agent Chris exclaimed as the boiler blew up. It shook the whole factory and made Ulrich and Evil William lose their balance.
With smoke filled up below they looked and saw the security program was virtually unscathed. But with the smoke they used it as a way to move through undetected. They climbed up the ladder and descended into the lab. Jeremy grabbed a cord and hooked up his laptop to the supercomputer mainframe.
"Okay, now I have access to the virtualization programs," Jeremy informs them. Suddenly, the security program jumped down and confronted them. The others went down to the scanner room and the security program followed them. "Good, he took the bait."
The other three were in the scanners and the door closed. "You want us, come and get us" Aelita taunted him, and he entered the scanner Aelita was in, and Jeremy created access violation and all of them were sent to the Lyoko limbo.
Ulrich entered the elevator and descended before Evil William could get another one of them in. Suddenly the elevator shook, and Ulrich saw Evil William open the hatch and jump down. He pointed the blade at his neck. "Time to end this feud" Evil William declares. The elevator opened and Ulrich entered the scanner room.
"I guess so. Come and get me" Ulrich said as his scanner closed. Evil William got in another one and they were sent to the Lyoko limbo as well.
Jeremy was sitting in the lab with Agent Chris in tears. He just lost the mother of his child and Melissa just lost the father of her child. It was almost unbearable to think about. Even though Aelita's crazy idea on how to defeat the security program was successful, it did come with a small price.
"Well, I guess we should tell Melissa she is widowed, and that the child will never see his/her father" Jeremy concluded.
"That is not a conversation I want to have" Agent Chris responded.
"Even though I'm not pleased that Aelita lied to me, I am happy you recruited them. No ordinary agent would stop Evil William in time."
Agent Chris responded with a nod and smile. A message came through on Jeremy's laptop.
"What's this?" Jeremy opened the message. "A message from the network graveyard. 'Don't let Aelita and her friends end up like me. Use this code to bring them all back. Sincerely, Franz Hopper.'"
"Franz Hopper?" Agent Chris asked.
"One of the original scientists who worked on Project Carthage and the creator of Lyoko, as well as Aelita's father. Too long of a story to explain. I got to do this quickly." Jeremy entered the code for all four of his friends. Him and Chris went down to the scanner room to see if it worked…
