Skylar: Hola chicos! Sorry about that incident. Listen I forgot to mention in the last chapter that the song that I used isn't mine. That song was titled, "I choose you" by Alessia Cara, from the movie "The Willoughbys". And for the disclaimer, characters from "Sing" don't belong to me. Only my OC's and plot do.
Johnny and Irene were running through the heavy rain to reach to the theaters. Once they reached the theater, Johnny opened the door, and they both ran inside.
"Wow, it's raining hard outside!" Irene exclaimed, examining her heavy, wet fur and dirty rags.
"Yeah, good thing that we were close to the theater." Johnny said, looking outside at the pouring rain. He looked at Irene and noticed she was shivering. Looking at her height, Irene apparently reached up to Johnny's shoulder. "Do you need anything?" He asked, with concern.
She said with chattering teeth, "N-No. I-I'm good." But Johnny didn't believe it. Not after that reaction.
He guided Irene through the theater. "Mr. Moon!" He called out. "Do you have a towel and tea?"
On the stage there was a short gray koala, wearing a blue suit, black shoes, and a red bow tie. "Yes." Buster replied. "Can I as-" He stopped mid-sentence, noticing the shivering kinkajou.
Irene froze. She sincerely hoped that the owner wouldn't kick her out as well. Before she could say anything, Buster called out, "Miss Crawly! Get some towels and a nice fresh cup of hot tea! Fast!"
"Right away, Mr. Moon!" An elderly female voice replied.
Ash, Nooshy, Meena, Rosita and Porsha immediately rushed to meet the girl.
"Oh my gosh! Sweetie, are you okay?" Rosita asked worriedly.
"U-Um, I'm fine, thanks for asking Ms.…" She looked at the pig, knowing her name, but didn't want to disrespect her.
"Oh, my name is Rosita. No need for the Ms." She said with a sweet smile. "And this is Ash, Meena, Porsha, Nooshy, Gunter, Mike, Buster Moon, and Clay Calloway." She points to each animal when she said their name.
Irene smiled. "Nice to meet you all. My name is Irene." Right at that moment, an elderly iguana wearing a green see-through cap, a yellow dress, white shoes, came in. The iguana had a towel along with a cup of tea. That must be Miss Crawley. Irene thought. She noticed one of her eyes looked fake, but she kept her mouth shut.
"Oh, here you go dear." Miss Crawly said.
"Thanks." Irene said gratefully, then started to dry herself with the towel. She looked at her torn and wet rags. She sighed tiredly with a hint of sadness. "Well, there goes my clothes." Porsha, Ash, and Nooshy immediately came to her aid.
"Irene, don't worry!" Porsha said excitedly. "I have a shirt for you along with some socks and shoes."
"I have a jacket you can use." Ash offered.
"And I have some jeans for you." Nooshy finished, and Porsha took her hands guiding her to a room, Ash and Nooshy following them with clothes in their arms.
Everyone else turned to face Johnny. "Johnny, where did you find her?" Clay asked with a concerned look.
"She looks filthy. Not to mention looking like a homeless kid." Mike said with distaste in his voice.
"Because she IS homeless." Johnny confirmed with a serious look. He looked over where the girls went off, with a sad look. "She doesn't have a family. When I found her, she was alone and crying in an alleyway." Both Clay and Johnny glared at Mike, and right at that moment, Mike wished he didn't say the harsh words that slipped from his mouth.
"Listen here, mouse." Clay growled to the small white mouse. "Don't ever say that to a child. That girl," He points in the direction where the girls left. "She doesn't have a family, and she is heartbroken and alone. Be grateful that she isn't here to hear what YOU said." Mike stayed quiet, thinking over what Clay just said.
"Ya know what? For once, you are a total super jerk dinkleshplat!" Gunter said in his German accent.
"A what?" Irene asked in confusion. Everyone turned to find a freshly dressed Irene, with her fur all dried up. She was wearing a white long-sleeved tank top that has black bold words saying Brooklyn 76, with two stripes around the wrists of the sleeves, with a no sleeve jean jacket. She also wears a tight black torn stretchy dancing pair of pants along with white Nikes with black designs on them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce the new Irene!" Porsha announced.
"Thanks so much." Irene said with a smile. "I promise I'll give them back to you."
Ash quickly spoke. "Oh no, keep them! You need them, so they're yours!"
She smiled. "Thanks." She said, then started to leave.
"Hey, where ya goin' kid?" Mike called out, with a little concernment, wanting to make up what he said moments ago when Irene wasn't around.
Irene explained, "Well, I appreciate everything, but I don't want to be a burden. So, I'll leave and let you guys continue with what you were doing." She was about to reach the doors, when suddenly Meena, Johnny, and Clay blocked her path.
"Irene, you aren't doing anything bad. Johnny found you, and he wanted to help you." Clay said, with firmness in his voice.
"We all do." Meena added, with gentleness in her voice.
Johnny came in front of Irene and knelt a little to see her in her eye level. "Irene, I want to ask you, do you want to be my sister?" He asked.
Irene froze right there, with a surprised and shocked face. For a moment, Johnny thought that it wouldn't work, and that maybe she would immediately run away from the theater.
He quickly added, "I-If you want to! I-I understand if you-" He stopped because Irene was hugging him with a happy face. "Oh thankyouthankyouthankyou! I can't believe I finally have an older brother after all these months!"
Johnny took a moment to process this, then smiled wildly. He hugged her back.
"Wait, if she's staying with Johnny, she's going to need some clothes!" Porsha said with excitement in her voice. She grabbed Irene's hand and pushed her, along with Meena, Ash, and Nooshy to the exit. "We'll be back guys! Don't worry, we'll make sure she's safe!"
Johnny yelled, "Okay, but make sure she's back at my place at 5!" "Got it!" Ash called back. And with that, they left the building.
2 Hours Later…
"Wow, thanks guys! You guys didn't need to do this." Irene said, holding three bags in each hand. The girls were heading to Johnny's apartment, where Irene's new home and brother are.
"But we wanted to!" Porsha said with kindness in her voice, then turned to face the girls. "Right girls?"
In all honesty, Ash and Nooshy thought it was torturesome when they went shopping, but when they found out that Irene wanted some tomboy-ish clothes when she got plenty of girly clothes, they willingly helped offer her some of their styles, to which Irene happily accepted.
"Yeah. Besides, we wanted to get to know you better." Nooshy said.
Irene smiled. "Well, you did!" She said with cheerfulness in her voice.
"Hey Irene, I got a question." Meena said.
"Okay, ask away." Irene responded with a cheerful voice.
"Do you sing?" Meena asked.
Irene thought for a moment. "Um, sorta. I sing sometimes."
"Do you play an instrument?" Ash asked. "Or dance?" Nooshy added.
"Well, I can play drums. And dancing, not exactly. Let's just say I have loose footing." She laughed.
"I can teach you." Nooshy offered.
Irene thought it over then nodded. "I'll take it. But let me say that I'm kinda a hot mess when it comes to dancing." She said with a chuckle.
"Oh, I've dealt with worse." She chuckled remembering how it was when she was teaching Johnny how to dance.
"Well, we're here." Ash said, gesturing to an apartment building. To Irene's point of view, it looked okay. They walked up the stairs and Ash knocked on the red door. "Johnny, it's Ash! We brought Irene back!" She called out.
Not a moment later, the door opened revealing Johnny. "Hey girls! I didn't think you would be back early." He said with some surprise in his voice.
"Well, we found out that she has two different styles." Nooshy said with a smirk while putting an arm around Irene's shoulders, perfectly. Irene and Nooshy realized that they were the exact height, which made them both happy.
"Sorry if we surprised you." Meena said with an apologetic look.
"No, no that's okay. Are you coming in, Irene?" Johnny asked to his new little sister.
Irene nodded. "Yeah." She turned to face the girls. "Thanks again. Will I see any of you tomorrow?" She asked, with a hopeful look.
Ash nodded. "Yeah, you will. We have to practice tomorrow back at the theater."
Irene smiled. "Alright! Bye!"
"Bye!" The girls said, then left to head back to their homes.
"They're nice." She said, while entering her new home. She looked around and saw a homey hallway along with a stairway.
"They are." Johnny agreed. He noticed the bags in her hands. "Do you need help?" He asked.
"Um, yeah a little." She said sheepishly.
Johnny took two bags and Irene was now holding four bags. "Follow me." He said, then went up the stairs. Irene followed him and saw that there were 4 doors in the second hallway. Johnny stopped at a door. "Here we are." He opened the door, and Irene peered in. She saw that the room and immediately liked it. The walls were a honey yellow, with two beds, two nightstands, along with lamps drilled to the wall. There was also a desk, along with two windows, leading to a fire escape.
"I hope you like it." Johnny said. Irene beamed. "I love it! Johnny, thank you so much!" She placed the bags on the desk, then hugged him. Johnny hugged her back. They let go and Irene smiled. "I can't wait for tomorrow!" She said excitedly.
