Skylar: Hola chicos! Here's the other chapter I promised! Hope you guys enjoy this. I think you might find this hilarious. ;) Anyways, I'll say the disclaimer real quick. "Sing" characters don't belong to me. Only my OC's and plot. Enjoy!
It was the next day when Irene and Johnny were heading for another day of practice. Well, it was practice for Irene, and another day to search for a dance partner for Johnny. Irene was not going to let this day go without her teasing Johnny at least once.
Irene thought back to last night when she was with Nana playing chess. Turned out that Nana was a nice lady and was curious about Irene. Not to mention that she was happy that someone else wanted to play chess with her instead of her grandson, Eddie. They talked about their life and mentioned how Johnny and Ash would make the perfect couple. When Irene mentioned that tomorrow, she was going to try to get Ash and Johnny to be dance partners, Nana happily agreed to help her. And even though that part was true, Nana secretly wanted to go back to the theater to see Clay again.
Irene glanced at Johnny for a second, thinking that maybe teasing Johnny isn't the best idea. But what kind of little sister doesn't tease their older brother? Irene smiled to herself and decided to give it a shot.
"Hey, Johnny?"
Johnny turned his head to look at Irene. "Yeah?" Irene smirked inside, getting ready for Johnny's reaction.
"How do you feel if I were to set Ash up on a couple of blind dates?" She asked innocently.
Johnny froze and looked at Irene with shock written on his face. "W-What?!"
Irene nodded innocently, while she continued walking. "Yeah. I mean, Ash is an independent girl, and I'm impressed with that… But I think that, maybe with someone who's like her would make her a little happier, don't ya think?"
Johnny stuttered and wasn't looking where he was going, which resulted in him running straight into a light post. Irene froze and looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you okay, Johnny?" She asked worriedly. She rushed to him and examined his cheek, to see if there were any marks, and thankfully there weren't. But Johnny didn't even notice Irene giving a check on him.
He stared off into space, thinking with his thoughts. Ash… on a blind date?! Wait, what? Why am I getting all upset over this? Ash is just a friend… A friend… He then blacked out. That's when he heard it.
Johnny… A female voice called out.
His mind flashed to Ash when Lance tried to kidnap her and the whole group managed to save her. And there was the time when Johnny comforted her when she needed someone after that incident. He even thought that she looked cute to say with the outfit she wore yesterday.
Johnny… The female voice called him again and he opens his eyes to find himself in a wheat field. The winds make the grains move gently with the breeze. He looked around to find the voice, and at a hill, was where a huge oak tree was planted. Next to it, was a small figurine, and the figurine looked vaguely familiar. He slowly started to jog to the hill, where the mysterious figure was. Johnny… He knew he was getting closer and broke into a run, and he reached out, hoping to catch a glance of the figure, when suddenly a flash of light shined in his eyes.
"Johnny!" A voice yelled out. He opened his eyes to find himself in a bright room. And he was on a medical bed. He looked around and saw Irene with a relieved face. She immediately hugged him.
"Don't you ever do that again! Did you know I had to run to the theater to get help?!" She cried out.
He looked at her with a confused look. "W-Wait what? Irene, what happened?"
Irene's face scrunched up in confusion. "Hang on, what was the last thing you remember?" She asked, while raising an eyebrow.
Johnny closed his eyes in concentration and tried to remember. He spoke. "W-Well you and I were heading to the theater, then you said something about Ash… and that's about it."
Irene gave a relieved sigh. "Oh, thank goodness. You're okay! And in case you're wondering where you are, you're at the hospital."
Johnny's eyes widen. "WHAT?! H-How long?! And why am I in a hospital?!"
"Okay 1. Few hours at least." She gave a one-sided shrug. "Maybe about…" Irene paused thinking and calculating in her head. "2 to 3 hours."
Johnny stayed still, thinking about how he was knocked out for almost 3 hours. But he looked at Irene, expecting another answer to his question.
Irene got his message from his face and quickly added, "As for question 2, you ran into a light post. You weren't watching where you were going, and you ended up slamming into the light post. I checked on you and right at that moment, you passed out. Thankfully, the theater was just a block away, so I ran and called for help, the ambulance came, took you here, and, well, here we are." She shrugs while gesturing to the hospital room.
Johnny registered the information, and he nodded. "Oh, okay. Um, so what about-"
Irene cut him off. "Mr. Moon said he'd make an acceptation of you missing this out for today. He said if you're feeling better, we can still go to the theater." She stood up. "I'll be right back. I'm gonna check on the doctors to see if you can go."
Johnny nodded, and Irene left the room. Once she was outside and the door was closed, she said to herself, "Note to self: Don't tease Johnny about Ash when we're walking."
30 minutes later…
After Johnny and Irene were able to leave the hospital, they went to the theater. Irene didn't bring up about Ash once during the trip, not wanting to send Johnny into another trip to the hospital. She'd have to warn Nana not to tease Johnny about Ash.
Soon, they walked into the entrance of the theater and went to the auditorium. They saw Buster on the stage with Meena and another elephant. When they got closer to the stage, they saw Mike with his girlfriend Nancy.
Hearing footsteps, Buster looked up to see Johnny and Irene. "Ah, Irene and Johnny! I didn't think you guys were coming here."
Irene gave a little smile. "Well, we're here! And thankfully, the doctors say that Johnny can still practice."
Buster nodded. "Excellent."
Irene turned to face the elephant and mouse couples. "So, Mike, Meena, who are they?" She asks, even though she heard about Alfonso from Johnny.
Meena sweetly said, "Irene, meet my boyfriend, Alfonso. Alfonso, this is my friend and Johnny's little sister, Irene."
Alfonso extended a hand. "Nice to meet you, Irene."
Irene smiled and took his hand and gave a shake. "Nice to meet you as well, Alfonso."
She turned to Mike with his girlfriend. "And who's this, Mike?"
Mike gave a proud smile. "Well, kid, this is my girlfriend, Nancy." Nancy gave a smile. "Pleasure to meet you, Irene."
Irene gave a soft smile. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you as well, Nancy." She replied with a soft nod, then she faced both couples. "So, are you guys going to enter the dancing competition?" She asked.
Both couples nodded their heads. "Yeah, they are." Buster sad, while writing on his clipboard. "And now we only have three more people who need a dance partner. Clay, Ash, and Johnny."
Irene gave a nod. "Right."
But right at that moment, Clay and Nana came on the stage, with Nana wrapping an arm around Clay's. Everyone had small, surprised looks. "Hey Moon," Clay called out.
Buster was the first person to snap out of it. "Um, yes Mr. Calloway?"
"Me and Miss Noodleman are going to be partners for your competition. Just so you know." Clay said, with a loving smile to Nana.
Irene blinked and slowly smiled. She was getting ready to squeal in excitement, but Mike kicked her to prevent it. After all, mice and elephants have sensitive hearing.
Buster fumbled with his clipboard and pencil, surprised that Nana decided to join in this competition. "O-Okay then, make that two people who need a dance partner."
Irene saw Nana giving her a wink, and Irene felt her stomach drop. She realized Nana was going to say something to Johnny about Ash. Irene shook her head and gave a pleading look, but it was too late. Nana said aloud, "Johnny, dear, what do you think of Ash being in a dress?" And when those words slipped from her mouth, Irene's face went pale, her jaw opening slightly in horror. She slowly turned to look at Johnny, who had a pale look as well.
"Johnny?" Irene slowly asks in concern. She walked towards him. "Say something." She said with concernment and worry. Johnny just squeaked, "What?" and at that moment, he fainted on the spot. Irene yelped and tried to hold Johnny up, but because of his weight, he slipped from her arms and fell to the ground. Irene stared at him for a moment, then cried out, "Water! We need water!"
Buster immediately ran off the stage to find a bucket and fill it with water. In the meantime, Meena, Alfonso, Clay, Nana, Mike, and Nancy ran to a passed-out Johnny.
"Why did he react like that?" Mike said, worry filling his voice.
"Is he okay?" Meena asked, fear filling her voice.
Irene didn't respond, instead, she grabbed one of Johnny's arms to feel his pulse. After a few moments, she sighed in relief. "He's okay. But this is the second time that's happened today."
"What do you mean, Irene?" Clay asked.
Irene raised a hand to massage her temples for a moment and after she finished, she said sheepishly while slowly shrugging, "So, don't say anything to Johnny OR Ash, but I kinda said something to Johnny about Ash earlier and that's what kinda sent him to the hospital." She gave a sheepish smile.
Meena's eyes widen. "What did you say to Johnny about Ash?" She asked with caution.
Irene squeezed her eyes shut and quickly said, "I asked Johnny how he would feel if Ash went on some blind dates."
She heard silence but she kept on going. "And he ended up slamming into a light post and that's how he ended up in the hospital for two hours." She still heard silence, so she peaked an eye open, to see Meena with an excited look.
"So, you ship them too?!" She said with excitement.
Irene blinked, surprised that Meena was also shipping them too. She said with a disbelief smile and surprise in her voice, "Y-Yeah."
Right at that moment, Buster ran back with a bucket of water and the rest of the group, Ash, Rosita, Gunter, Miss Crawly, Porsha, and Nooshy ran as well, following him and were shocked to find a passed-out Johnny.
"What happened?" Rosita asked with worry.
Irene glanced at Clay, Meena, Nana, Alfonso, Nancy, and Mikey with a pleading look. She really hoped that they didn't say anything about Johnny being embarrassed because of Nana suggesting how Ash would look like in a dress.
Mike quickly said, "Johnny was so surprised that Ms. Noodleman is joining in the competition that he passed out." Irene sighed in relief.
Rosita gave a suspicious look. "Okay?"
Buster gave Irene the bucket of water and she throws the water at Johnny's face. His eyes snapped open, and he jerked up. "W-What happened?" He asked.
Irene thought for a moment, then quickly said, "Um, nothing. We just uh…" She couldn't come up with a good excuse, so she grabbed Nooshy and Porsha's arms. "Oh, look at the time! We gotta practice! See you later, Johnny!" She called over her shoulder and with that, she dragged Porsha and Nooshy to their practice rooms. Once they were in the room, Irene leaned against the door and gave a relief sigh.
Someone cleared their throat and Irene opened her eyes. Porsha and Nooshy had their arms crossed and gave Irene smirks. "Okay, Irene, what really happened with Johnny?" Porsha asked mischievously.
Irene was about to deny it, but Nooshy raised a finger. "Don't deny it, Irene. We won't start practicing until you tell us the truth."
Irene chuckled and plopped herself on the floor. "Alright, I'll tell you girls. Just don't say anything to Johnny or Ash."
