Skylar: Hola chicos y chicas! Hope you are having an amazing day! Listen before we start, I want to say, thank you for the support and the reviews! We went past 2,000 views and now were over 3,000 views! So, thank you so much! I never expect myself to get this many views! Also, here's the disclaimer. "SING" characters don't belong to me. Only my OC's and plot. Enjoy!
Irene landed on her bed and gave a tired sigh. "What a day." She said aloud with exhaustion. The rest of the day was another failed attempt to dance. She groaned and covered her face, thinking over her failed attempts when she tried to dance. She sighed again and sat up. She looked outside at a window to show a clear night, with the city lights shining brightly. Her eyes widen and she went to the window, taking in the beautiful city lights. She slowly smiled and leaned her head against the window.
"Wow…" She breathed and continued to look out. She stood there for a few more minutes, then heard a knock at her door. She turned around to find Johnny standing at her doorway.
"Hey, Irene," he said with a small concerning look. "Everything okay?"
Irene gave a small smile. "Yeah, I guess." She turned back to the view.
Johnny continued to look at her for a moment, then walked in the room. "I'm guessing practice didn't go well?" He said while sitting at the edge of the bed.
Irene heaved a sigh and turned back to Johnny. "How'd ya know?"
Johnny gave a shrug. "Well, I was heading to my practice room and saw you with Porsha and Nooshy. It seemed that you were having a hard time with dancing."
Irene stared at the floor for a moment, not saying anything. When she did, she said with a defeated voice, "Dancing really isn't my strength. I try hard, but I just… I just can't."
Johnny looked at her in pity for a moment, then clasped his hands together and leaning on it, thinking on how he can help. He remembered how hard it was for him to dance when they were getting ready for their biggest show back at Crystal Theater, because of his former choreographer Klaus Kickenklober, but he was able to do so with Nooshy's help. He looked up at Irene, but she didn't notice his gaze. She was busy looking out, with a glimmer in her eyes from the city lights.
He decided to speak up. "Irene, when you dance, what do you feel?"
Irene wasn't expecting that question, but she answered while continuing to gaze outside, "I just feel… self-conscious. At least when there are other people looking at me."
Johnny raised an eyebrow, though he wasn't surprised in general. "So, your worried that someone would judge you because of your dancing?"
Irene turned her head one more time to Johnny and nodded. "Yeah. But when no one's around, that's when I really sing and dance. I know that no one would have to witness my terrible dancing, so that's what makes me feel free and alive."
"Huh. I see." Was all he said, and he stayed quiet for a moment, before saying, "You know what, Irene, get ready for bed."
Irene raised an eyebrow. "What? Why?"
Johnny stood up from the bed with a confident smirk. "Because tomorrow we're going to practice with your dancing. First thing in the morning."
Irene had a surprised look. "T-Tomorrow?!" She exclaimed. "Johnny, we have to go to Moon theaters!"
Johnny gave a shrug. "Don't worry, I'm sure Mr. Moon can make an acceptation. So, you better get some sleep. I'll see you at 8 am sharp." And with that he left the room.
Irene stood on her spot with a wide-eyed shocked face. After standing there for a few moments of processing, she shook her head and went to her nightstand to get her pjs. Well… let's see what'll happen. She thought. And with that, she changed her clothes and climbed into her bed, preparing for tomorrow.
The next morning
Irene was sleeping on her bed, her fur on her head was a wild mess, like a bird's nest. She moved to the other side of her bed, while she was still sleeping. But in a few moments, she was gonna wake up.
Johnny quietly opened the door, and walked in. He was wearing a white top, red loose pants with white stripes on the sides, and black sneakers. He also had an airhorn in his hand. He went to the side of the bed where Irene was sleeping, and he blared the horn. Irene screamed and fell off from the side of the bed and glanced up to see Johnny with a wide smile.
Irene narrowed her eyes and said with a loud and angry voice, "Johnny! Are you serious?! I promise I'm going to-"
Johnny cut her off. "A-bah-bah. Easy now, sis. We're gonna start practice."
Irene blinked, confused for a moment before remembering the discussion Johnny and her had. She felt her stomach in knots. "O-Okay." Johnny gave a nod and left her room, giving her privacy so she can change her clothes. Five minutes later, they were outside on the roof of their apartment.
Inside, Irene felt like she was gonna hurl. I can do this… right? But before she could say anything, Johnny pulled out a stereo and upbeat music started to play. He turned around and faced Irene.
"Okay, we're just gonna start low and work our way up." He said, then following the beat, he started to dance. Irene observed him for a moment, then tried to copy him. But she wasn't exactly doing it right. Instead, her postures and moves were all over the place. Irene squeezed her eyes shut, preparing for humiliation.
But instead, she heard the volume of the music lowering. She opened her eyes to see Johnny lowering the volume.
He faced her and said, "Alright, I know what your problem is." Irene waited for him to continue. "So, I know you stiffen up when others see you, but another thing I noticed is that your neck tightens. We need to have you feel loose and free." He rolled his neck around a few times then stopped. He motioned her to do the same, in which she did. He inhaled and exhaled, in which she did the same thing.
Feeling looser and more relaxed, Irene slowly opened her eyes and saw Johnny in a dancing position. Irene copied his position and gave a smile. "Okay, I'm ready."
2 Hours Later…
Irene gave a wide smile. "Wow, I think I'm getting it!"
Johnny returned that smile with a proud one. "You see? You just need to let yourself go."
Irene's smile turned into a grateful one. "Thanks." She gave him a hug, in which he returned. After they hugged, Irene looked at him straight in the eye with an irritated and mischievous look. "But that doesn't mean I'll get back at you for that!"
Johnny gave a teasing look. "Well, we'll see."
Irene rolled her eyes, thinking on how to prank him, and checked her watch on her wrist. It read 10 AM. "Hey, Johnny, what time are we supposed to be at the theater?"
Johnny paused and thought for a moment. "Um, I believe at 12. Why?"
Irene gave a nod. "Just wanna know. We both need showers and it's only 10, so I just wanted to check."
"Oh okay." They both left and went inside their home. Irene asked if she could shower first, in which Johnny allowed her, but before she did, she switched Johnny's toothpaste with mayonnaise. (Don't ask how.) She giggled quietly, excited that her revenge would go perfect. At least hopefully.
15 minutes later, Irene finished showering and got out of the shower with her fur dry and wearing fresh clothes. She glanced on her right to see Johnny leaning against the wall, waiting patiently for his turn.
Irene motioned Johnny to the bathroom. "Bathroom's yours."
He nodded. "Thanks. Make sure you eat something before we go."
Irene nodded in understanding, and she started to head down the stairs to the kitchen. She looked around and saw two breakfast burritos on a plate. Irene smiled and grabbed one. She sat on the chair next to the island and happily started to munch on her breakfast. She heard steps and didn't have to guess who it was.
She glanced at the doorway to see Matthew with a steaming fresh cup of coffee and smiled. "Morning Dad!"
Matthew returned the smile. "Morning darling. Why do you seem to be more chipper than usual?"
Irene gave an innocent shrug. "Just feeling happier and more excited, that's all."
Right at that moment, they both heard a disgusting shout from the bathroom. "UGH, WHAT IS- IS THIS MAYONAISE?! IRENE!"
Irene didn't even try to hide her laugh. She laughed and called out, "I told you I'd get back at you from this morning!"
Matthew raised an eyebrow and stared at his daughter. "Irene…" He said in a warning tone.
Irene glanced at her father with a dismissive smile and waved her hand off. "Don't worry, Dad. It's just a harmless prank I did to Johnny. He scared me with an airhorn this morning, so the prank I did is payback."
He chuckled and rubbed his daughter's hair. "I guess you're right."
Skylar: Well, I enjoyed that. Although I had writer's block, I'm glad you guy like the stories. But I have an announcement. I've decided to delete my TMNT Meets Author story. I haven't got any support from that story, so that is why I'm deleting it. But I'll come up with another story for TMNT after this. Also, I have a little of a surprise. I'm going to do a cast reaction for my first and previous novel, "Every Person Or Mutant Has A Secret," or E.P.O.M.H.A.S. So if you are interested, keep an eye out for this novel. And I'll see you in the next chapter! Adios readers!
