Mirabel didn't sleep at all that night. I mean, how could she? Her family was talking so loudly.

" She should not be here!" Abuela yelled.

" Why not?" Julieta asked furiously.

" Because she's dangerous. You heard what Bruno told us. She's going to destroy the miracle," Abuela snapped.

Mirabel's eyes widened. So that's why her family was always so resentful towards her. Abuela probably told them about the vision. But maybe they were on to something. If they were so afraid of her destroying the miracle, then that's what she would do. But what about Casita? What would happen to her? Even so, how would she succeed in this plan? She heard Casita whimper.

" Don't worry, Casita, I want to hurt them, not you," Mirabel said.

Casita clapped her hands. Mirabel chuckled. The next morning, she yawned, pretending she had just woken up. Antonio smiled at her. He ran over and hugged her. Julieta did too. When it was Lusia's turn, she squeezed her tightly. Mirabel smiled and chuckled. She frowned at Abuela and Isabella. Just look at their faces. So full of hate, bitterness, and fear. They weren't afraid of her. They were afraid of what she would do. But they should be afraid of both. Because she was planning to do something much worse than what they were expecting. Plus, they had some nerve being hateful and bitter. It was her who should be feeling that. After all, they treated her so horrible just because of some vision that hadn't even happened yet. A vision Mirabel had never even thought about. Not even when she plotted her revenge. She wanted to hurt her family that wasn't really her family, not the family that was actually her family. Casita treated her better than anyone else in the Madrigal's. Casita is even helping her get revenge. She couldn't possibly hurt Casita. But her " family", yes, she indeed could. And she would.

" Good morning, Mirabel," Abuela said.

" What did I tell you about pretending to be glad I'm here?" Mirabel asked.

" Don't talk to me like that," Abuela scolded.

" Or what? You'll wish I was never born?" Mirabel taunted.

Abuela looked shocked. Mirabel smirked and winked at her. Isabella growled. That just amused Mirabel. But she had to be careful. She didn't want to expose that she actually hated her family and plotted to take them down.

" I'm sorry, I didn't mean that," Mirabel apologized.

" You should be," Isabella scolded.

" Fu*** off, Miss. I'm so perfect," Mirabel thought.

She smiled innocently. Abuela went back to fidgeting with her fork. Julieta went back to making pancakes. Mirabel smiled at Camillo and Antonio. If she had to choose, she liked them the most.

" Breakfast is done," Julieta announced.

She gave everybody three pancakes each. She then got the syrup. Mirabel took a knife and began to chop up her pancakes into a million little; itty bitty pieces. Her family just stared and watched her in shock. When Mirabel looked up, she cleared her throat. She took the syrup and poured the whole bottle on her pancakes.

" Hey!" Isabella protested.

Mirabel shrugged. Julieta brought another bottle of syrup. Mirabel just picked at her food. Once everybody was done eating, she pushed her plate away.

" Aren't you gonna eat, sweetheart?" Julieta asked.

" No, not hungry," Mirabel answered.

She went back into her room. Her family exchanged looks. Something was off about Mirabel. They just couldn't figure out what.

" That was close. They were really starting to annoy me, Casita," Mirabel whispered.

Casita replied by opening and closing the cabinets. Mirabel chuckled. She was glad somebody was on her side. That somebody understood why she was doing what she was doing. Even if it was a house. Because Casita was more than just a house. She was family and the only person who understood and cared for her. Yes, Mirabel considered Casita a person.

Knock. Knock.

" Mirabel, are you okay?" Julieta inquired.

" Yeah, I'm fine," Mirabel answered.

" You sure? You've been acting differently ever since she came back," Julieta said.

" Yeah, mom, I'm fine," Mirabel replied with clenched teeth. " You've been treating me horrible my whole life just because I don't have powers, believed some vision that would never happen, then wished I was never born- and you- and you expect me to be the same? Well, dream on… mother," was what Mirabel really wanted to say.

She must stay strong. Keep pretending. If someone suspected she was plotting something for one second, her plan would be ruined. She had to play her cards right if she wanted to do this. Which means… She has to be nice to her family. Her mind kept telling her to keep doing this. But she was afraid to. I mean, she knew once she did this, there was no turning back. At the same time, she had no regret doing this. She wanted to make her family pay. And she would. Even if she had to push her regrets away.

The Madrigals continued to act like they were glad Mirabel was home. The more they did it, the more Mirabel wanted to destroy them. That evening, Isabella went out to see her boyfriend, Mariano. Mirabel got an idea. She made sure the coast was clear before sneaking into Isabella's room. She wrote a note and laid it on Isabella's bed. She snuck into Pepa's room and did the same thing. She then went back to her room and waited. It felt like hours, but Isabella eventually returned. She went to her room. It didn't take long for her to find the note. It said: Meet me in Bruno's room. Signed, Pepa.

Isabella groaned. She was surprised Pepa wanted to meet in Bruno's room. She hated Bruno. His visions always caused trouble. Still, she went to Bruno's old room. Pepa was waiting.

" So, what did you want to talk about?" Isabella inquired.

" Um, I thought you wanted to talk about something," Pepa answered.

" What do you mean? You're the one who wrote me a note. You told me to meet you here," Isabel said.

" Well, I got a note from you telling me the same thing," Pepa told her.

They stood there in confusion. It didn't take long to realize they were pranked. Pepa got angry. A thunder cloud appeared above her head. It electrocuted Isabella before disappearing.

" MIRABEL!" Isabella screamed.

Suddenly, a bunch of cheese dumped all over Pepa and Isabella. Hundreds of rats covered Isabella and Pepa. They both began screaming.

" HELP!"

The whole family came into the room. Pepa and Isabella's clothes were torn up, and they were covered in rat slobber.

" What happened?" Abuela questioned.

" Mirabel pranked us, dumped a bunch of cheese on us, and the rats covered us, eating the cheese and tearing our clothes," Isabella explained,

" What are you talking about? I didn't do anything. I was in my room the whole time," Mirabel protested.

" Liar! You wrote a note to both Pepa and I to tell us to meet each other here," Isabella accused.

" No, I didn't," Mirabel snapped.

" ENOUGH!" Abuela screamed.

" Did you guys see Mirabel do this?" Julieta inquired.

" No, but-" Isabella started.

" But nothing. You can't accuse someone without proof," Julieta scolded.

" Ugh," Isabella groaned.

" Everybody, just go back to your rooms. I want not a sound out of anyone," Abuela demanded. " Do you understand?"

" Yes, Ma'am."

Everybody went back to their rooms. Doloris came into Mirabel's room.

" I know you did it, I know you're plotting against us," she proclaimed.

Mirabel frowned. Not good. She had forgotten Doloris's super hearing. Mirabel made sure no one else was around.

" Yeah? And what are you going to do about?" Mirabel inquired.

Doloris's eyes widened. Mirabel grinned evilly at her. She crossed her arms and raised her left eyebrow.

" This is what all of you get for what you did to me," Mirabel snapped.

" We said we were sorry," Doloris replied.

" Oh, you said you're sorry? And does that get rid of the pain I had to go through for ten years? Does that prove that you care about me? How do I know you're not playing me? Can you turn back time and change the past?" Mirabel asked.

No answer.

" Well?!" Mirabel shouted.

" N- no," Doloris admitted.

" I didn't think so," Mirabel grumbled.

Doloris sighed. She left the room, fearful of what would happen if she pushed Mirabel too far. Mirabel laughed maniacally.

" Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Ha, ha, ha, ha, HA!"

To be continued.
