Chapter 2: Meeting Rillaboom

Pikachu followed Piplup, Oshawott, Nuzleaf and Cacnea. He crossed a couple of bridges and up a hill towards a gate. "Rillaboom locked himself inside through this gate. But since he heard that you guys were playing Quilladin's Attraction, he wanted to speak with you about something." Nuzleaf said. Nuzleaf and Cacnea opened up the gate. "Best of luck to you." Nuzleaf said. Both Nuzleaf and Cacnea walked away. "Well, come on. Don't wanna keep Rillaboom waiting." Piplup said. Piplup and Oshawott soon headed through the gate. Pikachu soon followed.

Pikachu walked past the gate and headed towards an archway where Rillaboom stood. Piplup and Oshawott were already there. Pikachu walked towards Rillaboom and started talking to him. "So, you were the ones who were playing the Attraction when you weren't supposed to." Rillaboom said. "Why don't you want Pokémon playing the Attractions, Rillaboom?" Piplup asked. "I- I don't really know myself." Rillaboom said. "One day I was just hanging out with my friends, Zone Keepers Delphox, Blastoise and Reuniclus. The 4 of us used to be the best of friends. Until suddenly, something came over us. We started insulting each other, saying things we shouldn't have said. Then just like that, our friendship was over." Rillaboom explained. "That's awful." Piplup said. "I don't know how it happened. It was like a dark power clouded our vision. It's a real mystery." Rillaboom said. "A mystery? I love mysteries!" Oshawott said. "I will greatfully send you on this quest. But before you start, I want you to beat my caretakers, Nuzleaf and Cacnea, in Skill Games, then come back and clear my Attraction. Then I will give you the task of uncovering this mystery." Rillaboom said. "You better handle it, Pikachu. Me and Oshawott will wait here for you." Piplup said. "Yeah. Go do your thing, Pikachu." Oshawott said. Pikachu nodded, turned around and headed back for the gate.

Pikachu exited the gate and began to look around for Nuzleaf and Cacnea. Pikachu walked across the bridge. There, Pikachu found Nuzleaf walking along the path. Pikachu walked up to Nuzleaf and began to talk to him. "What? Rillaboom wants you to beat me in a Skill Game just so you can uncover a mystery? Well, if it helps bring the Lake Zone back into its happy days, I accept." Nuzleaf said. "So, you wanna play a Skill Game? How about we battle?" Nuzleaf asked. Pikachu said yes. "Just so you know, I'm a very challenging fighter." Nuzleaf said.

Pikachu and Nuzleaf took their position and prepared to battle. 3, 2, 1, GO! Pikachu charged in. Nuzleaf fired a Bullet Seed attack. Pikachu dodged quickly and kept dashing around Nuzleaf, avoiding his Bullet Seed and Cut attacks. Pikachu then got close and gave a couple of good Iron Tail swipes, sending Nuzleaf flying in a short distance. Nuzleaf quickly recovered and attacked with Bullet Seed again. Pikachu dodged to the right, almost getting grazed by a few of the seeds. Pikachu dashed in and swiped at Nuzleaf with Iron Tail again, depleting his HP. YOU WIN!

Pikachu and Nuzleaf recouped afterwards. "Well, that was interesting. I haven't met a friend who's ever defeated me at my own game." Nuzleaf said. Pikachu and Nuzleaf cheered.

"This Zone used to be so fun and peaceful. Hopefully it will be again." Nuzleaf said. Just then, a couple of Cottonee and Skwovet appeared in the zone.

Pikachu took off to look for Cacnea. He crossed the second bridge and dashed along the path, passing Azuril in the process. He went up a small hill and found Cacnea walking around an obstacle course. Pikachu walked up to Cacnea and spoke with her. "So, Rillaboom wants you to beat me in a Skill Game in exchange for uncovering a mystery, does he? Alright. How about we play some chase?" Cacnea asked. Pikachu said yes. "Okay. Time to get hopping!" Cacnea said.

Cacnea hopped a few feet away to get ready. 3, 2, 1. GO! Cacnea hopped away fast as Pikachu dashed to catch up to her. Cacnea nearly got the upper hand as they reached the bridge. But Pikachu dashed into her as they reached the island. Cacnea flew through the air and landed by the second bridge. YOU WIN!

Pikachu and Cacnea recouped after. "Wow! You really knocked the wind out of me! You are very fast!" Cacnea said. Pikachu and Cacnea cheered.

Afterwards, a few Ducklett and a Yungoose had arrived in the Zone.

Pikachu then decided to head back to Rillaboom. He dashed back down the hill and across the bridges. He then dashed up to the gate.

Pikachu walked through the gate and headed towards Rillaboom's archway. There, he walked up and spoke with Rillaboom. "So, you've defeated both Nuzleaf and Cacnea in Skill Games? You must be pretty good to beat my best caretakers." Rillaboom said. "Well, of course. Pikachu is the best." Piplup said. "Well then, now you can challenge my Attraction." Rillaboom said.

"To play Rillaboom's Rocking Dance-Off, you need 5 berries." Rillaboom said. Pikachu paid the necessary berries. "Great. Then step right up." Rillaboom said.

Rillaboom's Rocking Dance-Off. Rock the entire PokéPark with a big dance. Score enough points to win. Press between the A, B, X, Y buttons to keep in rhythm.

Pikachu took position on the center stage with Rillaboom behind him, ready to play his drums. Other Pokémon gathered to watch the performance. Rillaboom started to beat his drum as the music started to play. Pikachu started to dance to the music, doing his best to keep time with the beat. Pikachu made it through the first half no problem. Now the music started to pick up speed. As Pikachu continued to score, other Pokemon started to pop up in the background. Pikachu gave one final pose as the music ended. Finnish!

Pikachu and the other Pokémon cheered. Goal: 0: 25,300. Bonus: 25,00. Attraction Cleared! Bonus Earned: 100 Berries. New Record: 25,300.

Pikachu regrouped with Rillaboom, Oshawott and Piplup. "Well done. That was quite the performance. It's been a long time since anyone has cleared my Attraction." Rillaboom said. "Here. Take this badge as a reward." Rillaboom gave Pikachu a badge, putting it into his PokéPark Pad.

Received the Rillaboom Badge.

"Oh, and here's something else too." Rillaboom said, handing Pikachu a small pink gem.

Received a Mysterious Gem.

"That little gem just appeared out of nowhere last night. I didn't know what to do with it, until I heard a faint voice in the air. It told me to give it to whoever clears my Attraction. And since you cleared it, it rightfully belongs to you." Rillaboom said. Pikachu nodded and put the gem in his PokéPark Pad next to the other one.

"Alright. We beat your caretakers and cleared your Attraction. Now will you send us on this mystery?" Oshawott asked. "Very well. I'm a Pokémon of my word. You are given the task of restoring the friendship between me and the other Zone Keepers." Rillaboom said. Pikachu, Oshawott, Piplup and Rillaboom cheered.

"Okay. So, where do we start?" Piplup asked. "Delphox is the Keeper of the Tundra and Volcano Zones, Blastoise is the Keeper of the Tropic Zone, and Reuniclus is the Keeper of the City Zone. You can get to each of the Zones through the gates in Lake Town." Rillaboom said. "My friend Sirfetch'd is the gatekeeper to the other Zone gates. Tell him I sent you." "What are we waiting for? Let's get going!" Oshawott said, taking off. Piplup sighed. "He's always ready to go. Well, we'll see you at Lake Town when you're ready, Pikachu." Piplup said, leaving to follow Oshawott. Pikachu took out his PokéPark Pad and saved his progress.
