"You're still studying?" Asked Amequs calmly

"Yeah, I'm just revising some stuff. Like how you can determine how close an event is to happening by seeing how bright the symbols are" said Nova as she wrote on a purple ghost-like tablet using her fingers and magic before Amequs shook too hard while walking, causing Nova to mess up the page "oh not again!"

"Can't you just undo the mistake like you always do?" Asked Amequs raising a metaphorical brow "i still can't believe this type of journal was common in your previous world."

Nova waved her hand over the ghost like tablet and the mistake was undone "We didn't have magic, so we found a compromise. And unlike phones and computers in my world, this thing can store infinite information. The elves are really wasting their magic" she said before Amequs shook again, causing her to mess the page up again "can we at least stop for a bit? I wanna write some info down"

"You can do it the next time we stop"

Nova groaned and made the tablet disappear from existence with a wave of her hand. She stared at the night sky for a few minutes before speaking.

"Hey, Amequs, why don't we just make a house somewhere in Xadia and stay there?" Asked Nova, staring at the night sky as Amequs continued moving "doesn't it get tiring to move like this all the time."

"Unlike you, i know how to use my legs. So i don't get tired as easily" deadpanned Amequs "and i hate ceilings"

Nova frowned before it turned into a mischievous smile "soooo, you like watching the stars?" She asked cheerfully

"Yes, i do" replied Amequs nonchalantly "what of it? You like it too"

Nova pouted "Geez, can't even tease you or anything" she said, before she fell into deep thought

It was silent for a few minutes before Nova suddenly yelled out.

"ooh! What if we have a star nexus on our roof? Would you like that?"

Amequs chuckled at the question "sure, because YOU can make something like that"

Natanova smiled and took this as an opportunity to get back at Amequs for nearly killing her for a snack "how about we make a bet then?" She asked with smirk

"Bet?"

"If i can make the star nexus, you have to call me master from now on" said Nova cheerfully "and if i can't, I'll have to call you teacher from now on."

"Interesting proposal" said Amequs calmly "very well; let's do it, student"

"Oh, it's on then. First things first, where we can get a ton of mirrors?"

"I guess I'll give you some help. Let's head towards the home of the sunfire elves...Lux Aurea"

_-_-_

The next day, at daytime

"Woah!" Nova exclaimed at the sight of Lux Aurea. It was beautiful and majestic. Nova believed that the show truly did the city no justice.

"Yes, it is beautiful. Now, how do you plan on getting the mirrors?" Asked Amequs curiously "we're not the richest folk out there...wait, are we stealing the mirror?"

"What? No! I'll work as a fortune teller" said Nova proudly "using star magic, for some money, I'll tell people a little about the future. Back in my world, it was a normal thing"

"Could the people of your world look into the future?"

"To my knowledge, no...but there was a comedy TV show that predicted a lot of stu-"

Already getting tired of her story, the unicorn interrupted her "Let's just go disrespect our primal source for meaningless profit already" deadpanned Amequs

Natanova glared at the unicorn as he entered the city. Though, soon she marveled once more at the majesty of Lux Aurea.

The two starry beings set up shop next to a busy area with a fountain.

Nova used her magic to make a sign that said 'Oracle' using light to attract other elves and sat on Amequs's back then waited for a customer.

Amequs had told her about their monetary situation of the elves. They weren't exactly focused on money. So while it did exist, exchanging items with others can also happen officially if both parties are happy with it. Though, she doubted she'd participate in one considering what she needed.

Soon after setting up shop, a Sunfire elf approached her curiously.

"I've never seen an elf like you before" said the elf "who are you?"

Startouch elves barely have any traces on Xadia. The only other startouch elf that has lived in Xadia was Aaravos and he was wiped from history. So Nova knew she was an odd sight to the Sunfire elves. The glowing white hair, the mystical shining pink pupils whose light lit the rest of her eyes like lanters giving them a pink hue, the bright symbol on her chest(the fic's cover), the abnormally large horns and the skin that looked like a star filled night sky. To the sunfire, she must've looked quite odd.

"My name's Natanova and I'm a startouch elf." Nova announced loudly enough for the other elves watching her to hear "For a small fee, I'll use my magic to tell you a bit about your future"

It was a VERY small fee. Nova didn't know how many would believe her magic, so decided to keep the price as low as possible so they don't feel like

"Future?" Asked the elf raising a brow

Nova made herself float and flew around the elf "Future, fate, destiny, whatever you want to call it, yes, you get to learn about a tiny portion of your future. Like if you'll find the love or die soon. Though, don't expect too much of me. I'm still a beginner after all." She said as she skillfully floated back unto Amequs's back.

There was absolutely nothing that could go wrong.

_-_-_

'Why did it come to this?' Nova thought to herself as she stared at the Sunfire warrior that was Janai 'this is all happened because of a stupid cliché!'

It was really simple, after helping a few customers, a guy whose fate was to have his left foot broken approached Nova, but didn't believe the fate she told him.

Not a minute later, a brick fell on his foot from a nearby construction site.

Before anything else could happen, Janai appeared and decided to look into the incident...as in Nova and Amequs themselves.

"Who are you?" She asked firmly

"Natanova...i'm a startouch elf" said Nova, fidgeting nervously

"And what brought you and unicorn here?" Janai asked raising a brow

"We came here to get something, but we needed money to get it; so we decided to offer a peek into the future for a small price"

Janai put a hand on her chin and pondered for a few seconds. "What is it that you want?"

Nova was confused as to why Janai would be curious about that, but she found no reason to not tell her.

"Mirrors...lots of them"

"Hmm, i have a request for you then" said Janai in a serious tone "if you can do it, I'll get you all the mirrors you need."

Things suddenly got a lot more interesting.

_-_-_

"So, what is this request?" Asked Nova as she and Amequs were led by Janai inside a large building

"We're almost there" replied Janai firmly as walked forwards

Nova, who was currently riding Amequs, shrugged before playfully taking a more comfortable position on Amequs.

Soon, they all made it to a balcony over some training grounds.

"We're here" said Janai calmly

Nova's ears perked upon hearing Janai's words and she flew towards the balcony.

Janai was momentarily surprised at Nova's casual wingless flying before she shook her head and pointed a kid in the training grounds.

It was a frail looking blonde boy who looked, perhaps, two years older than her current body which meant that he was about 9 years old.

The boy didn't look like the type to hold a sword. In fact, it looked like he had trouble swinging a training sword.

"Tell me, what are the chances he becomes a decent warrior?" Asked Janai with a frown

Nova didn't answer and just stared at the boy. His performance with a sword wasn't what grabbed Nova's attention. What grabbed her attention was the boy's fate. He had a big, really bright sun symbol that was connected to small symbols for each other primal and it all extremely bright. So bright it would've hurt a lot to keep staring at it if she wasn't a startouch elf. It took her a few seconds to figure out what that meant and when she did, she spoke.

"I don't know about warrior, but i from what i can see he could become an incredible mage" said Nova as she stared at the boy

"*sigh* figures" said Janai tiredly "i have to make him leave and quickly"

Tell me if i should continue the fic and leave a review.

Toodles.
