"Are you really a prisoner here anymore?" Aelius asked with a disgusted expression "it's more like you're taking a vacation."
"Well, i am trapped here. I might as well get comfortable." Said Natanova, who was wearing a one piece swimsuit, sarcastically as she floated in a swimming pool with space instead of water on a swim ring "do you want a drink?"
"I don't even know why i visit you anymore." said Aelius in disgust "
"Your loss." Replied Nova with a smile as a drink spawned into existence in her hand
It's been years since Nova's imprisonment and she made quite the amount of work on her tower.
She built an enormous bluish black tower with a giant white crystal atop it; decorated to the brim on the outside by drawings of constellations. The tower was tall enough to pierce the clouds...because it would've been annoying if it didn't work because of them. It was also much larger on the inside than the outside due to the star magic while still being large enough on the outside to let an archdragon in.
"Sadly, i must agree with the her." Added Amequs calmly as he sat next to the swimming pool "Even if she some...odd things."
"Hey! Swimming in space is cool, okay? And surprisingly calming." Said Nova, glaring at Amequs without leaving her space swimming pool
"Yes, it should be comfortable, not a luxurious palace" Said Aelius crossing his arms with a frown
"It's not that luxurious." Said Nova pouting as she crossed her arms
"You're getting soft. What if someone attacks this place?" Exclaimed Aelius angrily "how will you defend it?"
"I have things in place for that." Said Nova calmly, knowing that her defenses are partly there to block general threats and mostly to defend against someone whose name starts with Aara and end with vos
"And what if they don't work?"
"...you're making me feel really guilty about this" whined Nova
"Good" Aelius said crossing his arms with a frown
"*sigh* fine. What do you want me to do?" Nova asked as she got out of the pool and changed into her casual clothes with a wave of her hands. "I'm already fit physically."
"Inside the tower. We'll get out of here and have you work out outside"
"You do remember I'll die if i leave, right?" Nova asked raising a brow
"We'll do it at the entrance nexus." Said Aelius sternly, causing Nova to flinch.
Nova didn't expect that making a nexus at the entrance would backfire this way, but alas, she did want to actually leave the tower sometimes.
"Fine, but if anything happens it's your fault." Nova conceded dejectedly
"Yeah yeah, the unicorn is coming too"
"As expected" said Amequs tiredly before getting up.
Little did they know, they'd meet someone who'd start a chain of events that would decide the fate of Xadia.

"Haah haah, i can barely walk so how am i supposed to do this!" Said Nova as she flopped unto the ground
"Do you know how many humans would kill for that tower? You need to know how to fight." Said Aelius with a frown "now go run three laps around this nexus"
Nova was paralyzed by the Sunfire elf's words. The entrance nexus, which was just two small star nexus crystals on both sides of a circular mirror like platform leading inside the tower, was tiny in comparison to the rest of the nexi. For anyone normal, it's not even a light jog. For Natanova, it's hell.
"Damn you, Avizandum!" Nova cursed the dragon king's name under her breath "damn you too, you sadistic shortie!"
"Hey! I'm not that short!"
"You're shorter than i am and pretty small!" Said Nova as she begrudingly did the three laps.
Amequs watched as Nova struggled to do three laps around the nexus' platform. He almost chuckled at the sight. It's been years since they met and she grew a lot since. As her caretaker, it made him feel quite proud (not that he'd admit it). But seeing her struggle every once in a while was as amusing as ever.
"Have my horns always been this heavy?!" Exclaimed Nova, panting from exhaustion
"Aww, do you need a ride?" Asked Amequs mockingly as he approached Nova
"You sadistic donkey! Your body doesn't depend on magic like mine!"
As Amequs and Nova argued while Aelius groaned at how childish they were acting, someone was watching them. They specifically stared at Amequs and he noticed it all too late as he was already shackled by dark magic chains.
Nova instantly snapped towards the location of the attacker and saw a human riding a horse. she could easily recognize who it was. It was Viren.
Nova quickly swung her hand, pulling the horse's legs causing it to trip. Viren fell with the horse, but quickly recovered.
Aelius, recognizing this man as a danger, leaped at him to attack with a flaming fist. Viren dodged and swung his staff at Aelius who blocked it. Sadly, the gap in experience was not easy to overcome and Aelius quickly fell in the next attack.
Before Viren could land another hit, Nova blew him away with a beam of bright white light and prepared a few more as she glared at Viren. Viren returned the glare and prepared for the fight. But before the two could clash, a voice stopped them.
"Viren! What are you doing attacking children?!" Nova knew who it is and quickly removed her magic. After all, King Harrow would never harm a child...unless it was the dragon king's, but that is an exception.
"They have a unicorn, Harrow. Who knows when we would find another opportunity like this?!" Said Viren as he prepared to attack.
"Viren, this is not why we came here!" Said Harrow angrily
Seeing that Viren and Harrow were arguing, Aelius thought about attacking. Before he could do anything though, Nova pulled him away using magic and began freeing Amequs.
As Nova was freeing Amequs, Viren conceded to Harrow who approached her right after.
"Are you-"
"I'm fine. No harm no foul" Nova quickly said as she finally managed to untie Amequs's chains
Amequs immediately headed behind Nova and got ready to attack.
Harrow nodded in affirmation and was about to leave, but Viren had some questions.
"You're a startouch elf, correct?"
Nova knew why the two were here, to kill the dragon king. Staring at Viren, Nova pondered whether she should change that or not, but alas, she decided against it. She could probably defeat Viren using her nexus, but...
'That spear is being strengthened by the nexus' Nova thought to herself as her eyes drifted towards the spear with the unicorn horn pulsating while everyone else was distracted we'd would definitely die if i fight them now.'
"What do you want?!" Aelius snapped angrily before Nova covered his mouth
"Let me handle this" Nova whispered angrily before turning to the humans "Yes, i am a startouch elf. Any other questions?"
"There wasn't supposed to be such a large tower here. Who are you?" Viren asked with a glare
"The tower is my home and...prison. This Sunfire elf is just visiting." Nova answered calmly "as for who i am...my name would mean nothing to you."
Nova stole a line from Aaravos, hoping that she could, perhaps, give Viren some goosebumps in the future.
"You're a prisoner? You don't seem very imprisoned." Said Viren with a frown
"Yes, it's...well appointed. Even comes with a garden." Said Nova calmly "Sadly, if i leave the area i would definitely die."
"...who imprisoned you here?" Harrow asked with a frown, feeling pity for the kid in front of him.
"The same creature you're here to kill. The dragon king."
Harrow was shocked, why would HE imprison a kid and how did this kid know why they were here. Aelius was also shocked to hear that. 'Kill the dragon king? Are they crazy? That's impossible' He thought.
"How did you-" Harrow didn't get to finish before Nova continued
"Star magic" said Nova with a smile "...now, i must warn you against going forward with your plan. It could spell disaster for both races."
Nova knew this was stupid, but there was a chance she could change Harrow's mind. It would stop many deaths and Aaravos's escape, even if it does stop the show from happening.
"I'm sorry, i must to do this" said Harrow clenching his fist "no matter what."
"What about your children? They'd be affected by this, would they not?"
"This is for them. HE took her from them." Said Harrow angrily
Seeing the look of on Harrow's face, Nova was already regretting trying to get him to stop. She did not want to provoke the man with the death spear.
"And why are you protecting him? He imprisoned you here. What crime could you have committed to deserve to be a prisoner, even if it is in a fancy tower?!"
Nova really didn't want to fan the flames and tell him she he imprisoned her just because she was a startouch elf like Aaravos.
"Uh, well...look, It doesn't matter! I won't stop you. But i hope you know that actions have consequences."
"...THAT IS why I'm here. Let's go." said Harrow before leaving on his horse and Viren followed right behind, feeling disappointed at the loss of a unicorn horn.
Nova let out a sigh of relief as the humans left and Aelius, who stayed silent until now, asked
"They're going to die aren't they? There's no-"
"There is." Said Amequs who couldn't stop staring at the spear made with a horn much like his own "that spear can kill him."
"And it seemed like the nexus was making it stronger. Luckily, we avoided a fight" added Nova as she headed towards her tower "we need to fortify this place against potential attacks on the inside and the outside."
"What's going to happen?" Aelius asked, feeling unsure.
Nova, not knowing what to tell him, decided to keep it under wraps "...let's just hope for the best and prepare for the worst."
She absolutely couldn't let Aaravos or Viren into her tower.
