Okay, so a couple establishing things…

1() This story begins at year 4. I'm gonna try writing what came before, but this tale is mainly focused on year 4, 5 and the Naruto timeline imma mess with

2() Kagura was basically adopted by a deserter of Kiri. He use to be one of THE Seven Swordsman of the Mist, but ran away when it looked like his Kekkei Genkai would be discovered. He left the Elemental Nations entirely since he didn't fancy being hunted down for who and what he is.

3() Kagura has been learning how to wield a Battle Fan for years, and is experienced in Water Jutsu. Although her natural affinities lie in Lightning and Fire.

4() I'm using the Anime as reference, an I'm completely ignoring Boruto (I REALLY don't like some of the things they did with it -_-

5() I'm experimenting with this story and trying to make it Diverge from the plot of the anime~

"Today is the day!" An excited young woman thought as she got out of her bed quickly. Her long blood red hair was brushed and tied up quickly as she stumbled over to her closet. Green-blue eyes flicked to and fro as she decided what to wear. Finally she decided on a pair of leggings with a metal net covering the outsides completely, and slipped on a pair of normal black leggings over them. She then slipped on a metal mesh shirt and her favorite navy blue training tunic over it. As she ran over to the door she grabbed her utility belt and slipped it on while she shimmied her boots on.

Her next stop was the bathroom where she brushed her shark like pointed teeth clean, making sure to maintain the gift her Sensei granted her in her birthday. It was a great honor in her mind, having grown up with tales of the seven swordsmen. Ninja who could take out entire armies when they used their legendary weapons. Early on, her Teacher told her of the many visual traits associated with the swordsmen, from their clothes to the filed shark teeth they all had. She begged for months to have hers filed into points, but he always said she had to earn it. Defeating a Werewolf in single combat definitely earned her that right. Although she was also grounded for not getting any intel before facing a dangerous foe…

Kagura could hear the clattering of pans from downstairs as her Sensei tried to make breakfast. An activity she refused to let him do after he somehow managed to make a purple poisonous curry that literally crawled out of the pot. She bolted downstairs, watching in horror as her teacher put a pot of water on the stove. "No!" She cried out, rushing over and tearing her teacher away from the stove.

"Kagura!" He said in shock, having not heard her come downstairs. Mamizu was a former Jonin of the Land of Waves. Until his cooking was seen by his classmates, he was the Wielder of Nuibari in the seven swordsmen. When people were being executed for having kekkei genkai, he fled. Not wanting to suffer through the life of being a Missing Nin like many of his fellow swordsmen, he left the Elemental Nation Entirely. So he set up a dojo in England. A small business where he could teach children and adults alike to protect themselves.

A couple months after setting up his Dojo, Mamizu met Kagura.

It was a rainy day, reminding a younger Mamizu of home. Not for the first time did he consider going home, but he shook the idea off. To go home would be walking straight to his death. Instead he opened the doors of his dojo to let the Pitter Patter of the rain echo throughout his dojo. Today he didn't have any classes, but he did have a one on one session scheduled for 3:45, so he was just waisting until then.

His eyes flicked over to the Door instinctively when he heard the sound of multiple footsteps running. He walked over and looked out to see a little girl with Uzumaki red hair and Blue eyes wide with fear. Behind her was a pig in a wig leading a Passel of Hogs. They kept running his way and in a split second Mamizu leaned out and swept up the girl. He swiftly closed the door, locked it, and flipped the open sign to closed.

The child looked absolutely terrified to be there, muttering worries of being late home and how her uncle would punish her for it.

"Okay, stop and Breath," Mamizu said, setting her down, "why don't ya tell me why yer so terrified of yer uncle?"

The girl gulped, looking away from the man.

"How about why those boys were chasing ya? Did you know 'em?" He tried again.

"I'm a freak…" she muttered quietly. Any normal man wouldn't have been able to hear, but Mamizu was a former Jonin.

"What makes ya say that?" He asked, looking her over. Besides the mint green leaf tattoo on one side her face going across one eye; she looked perfectly ordinary.

"I set the teacher's wig on fire…" she muttered, looking ashamed of herself.

The man blinked for a moment, trying to remember if pranking the teacher was a common practice outside of the Elemental Nations. "And?" He asked, not seeing any fault in it.

"I um… didn't touch her at all… I just… she was so angry…" she muttered, tears welling up in her eyes.

"So ya protected yer'self. Nothin' wrong with Dat," he reasoned, "I bet she was yellin' and saying nasty things?"

The girl nodded, not saying a word.

"Then there was nothin' wrong with it!" He said, patting her back and grinning brightly, "if ya were in my home land ya would be given a uh, gold star fer that!"

The girl looked up at him hopefully, "Really?" She asked tentatively.

Mamizu nodded, grinning at her with his too sharp shark like teeth, "definitely… I'll even teach ya how to protect yerself!"

~~ Shūryū no Jutsu ~~

Back to today, Kagura was huffing, "I'm not letting you ruin today with another hunt for the Monstrous Food!"

Mamizu sighed, "fine, fine." He left the kitchen and sat at the table pouting. While he wallowed in misery, Kagura checked the pot for anything crawling around before making Ramen for Breakfast. While an unhealthy food for most, the two were active enough to need the calories. Kagura made hard boiled eggs, Pork bone and all, fish cakes and corn. Two bowls were made with plenty more ramen for later.

After eating breakfast they got right to what had Kagura so excited. Today was the day she was learning how to wield a Threading Needle Blade! It was her teacher's signature blade and she had dreamed of learning to wield one some day.

In the back room of Mamizu's Dojo, the two stood with wooden sticks in the shapes of over sized needles with a string through the eyes. They went through stabs and throws, simple but essential motions for wielding the blade.

After doing cool down stretches, Kagura left for a long walk.

The clouds were heavy and the air was humming with energy. A storm was on the horizon. Kagura hummed as she walked through town, absolutely loving the feeling of the eve of a storm.

Her feet took her past Private drive and she scowled at the burned remains of number 4. Three years ago a fire occurred after Dudley tried smoking for the first time. He used a match to light it and didn't have the common sense to keep something nearby to make sure it was out. So when it was placed on his side table it relit and the wood caught fire. Kagura was locked into her cupboard under the stairs and couldn't escape despite all her training. She was too weak from starvation and inactivity. The Dursley's ran out of the house without unlocking the door. She screamed and wailed, trying to get Anybody to help!

In the end Mamizu was the one to save her. He used water Jutsu to quell the fires and break down the door.

After the fire he sued the Dursley's and gained custody of Kagura in lieu of any potential family. Her aunt was even under inquiry due to Kagura's fear of living with her.

She left quickly, going to one place that always made her cheer up. The Zoo. It was where she spent many a birthday with her Sensei, and even met her beloved Weasel familiar. The little Weasel escaped from her cage and Kagura had a competition with Mamizu on who could catch the weasel first. They spent hours chasing the weasel and Mamizu swore up and down that it was a Nin Animal with how it moved.

The Zoo was so fed up with the escape artist that they let Kagura keep the little Weasel. It did help that the little menace was happily snuggled up in Kagura's arms like a cat that caught the canary. Mamizu scoffed and called the Weasel Kōchin (Small, Smart), and the name stuck.

After looking around the exhibits for a while Kagura went back home.
