Weird right? Someone else's point of view! This is going to happen for at least another chapter, but not the next chapter. The one after is in Ash's point of view as well! Although... I'm just thinking of other things. Not to mention my anxiety has been crazy high so going outside hasn't been fun. It's why I like writing so much though. Posting this for people to read doesn't cause me any anxiety, just hope people like it. Please, enjoy the story and if you don't like it then find a story you do like. Tell me what you think if you want.
Warnings: Nothing honestly. They do show fear, but that's the only warning I can think of. Pokemon Battles as well, but that comes with nearly every Pokemon story as far as I've noticed.
Disclaimer: Still don't own Pokemon. If I ever get enough money to buy it then I would be spending it on something else. Autumn is mine though.
-Ash's P.O.V.-
A moment after Autumn left the room, I opened the envelope to see the results, "Why would Autumn want to know about who she's related to?" Mallow asked.
I pulled out the paper, "She wants to know if any of her mothers relatives are alive. If they're anything like how her mother was, then she wants to meet them," Then I saw the results and froze.
Professor Kukui came up to look as well, "So, what does it say?" He asked.
I was still trying to process that Autumn was related to Professor Kukui, "Is it that shocking?" Sophocles asked.
Finally, I just handed them the paper, letting them all read it at the same time, "Wha-?!" Yep, just what I was thinking.
When we finally digested the information, Lana turned to the Professor, "I didn't know you had a sister."
"She went missing years ago," He admitted, "I'd always hoped she was still alive, but I never expected this!"
I beamed, "I think it's awesome!" I picked Pikachu up, "Our family's getting bigger!" I told him.
"Wait," Mallow asked, "What if Autumn's nervous about this? She didn't even stay to see our reactions!"
That had me running after her, but Nebby teleported them away before we could talk to her, "I guess we'll have to tell her later," Lillie stated.
I pouted, "I guess," Then I smiled, "But it's so cool! We're related to Professor Kukui!"
Lillie frowned, "You and Autumn aren't siblings."
"Yeah, but I feel like we are," We started walking to her car as the others dispersed, Professor Kukui went back to the school still trying to process what we learned, "We've been together for so long that I can't see her as my friend anymore. She's my little sister!"
Lillie laughed as we got into the car, "I know she sees you as her brother. She doesn't even deny it."
I smiled, "I wouldn't want it any other way," We were silent for a moment, then I asked, "How do you feel about Gladion being your older brother?"
Lillie sighed, but she was still smiling, "He can be overprotective, but he cares about me and doesn't want anything to happen to me. He tries to protect me, but knows when I'm going to follow anyway. Sometimes it's annoying, but I love it when he does. It shows he cares."
This was such a bad idea. I was going to wait until we were at her house, but now is as good a time as any, "Lillie," She hummed and looked at me, Pikachu giving me two thumbs up in encouragement, "I really really like you. It's okay if you don't feel the same about me, but I just wanted you to know."
Lillie's eyes were wide and her whole face was turning red, "Really?" She asked.
I nodded, "Lillie, are you okay? Your face is turning red," I put my hand on her forehead, "You don't have a fever."
"I'm fine," She took my hand off with a smile as the door opened and we got out, "I-"
"Hey," Gladion cut her off.
"Gladion!" I smiled, "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to visit Lillie."
"That's awesome! We can all hang out together!"
Gladion shook his head and turned to Lillie, "How've you been?"
"Great," Lillie smiled, "I was able to play with the Pokemon at school today!"
We were interrupted by Rotom, "Incoming call from Roxy!"
He accepted without waiting for me. Autumn's voice immediately came on, "Riolu! Metal Claw!" All of us looked at Rotom's screen to see Faba, "Riolu!" Riolu was down.
"Do you guys have a faster way to get to Professor Kukui's house than by car?" I asked.
Lillie nodded, "Hobbes!" She called into the house, "We need the jet right away!"
Hobbes just nodded, "It's already waiting for you to board."
"You can understand Pokemon?!" Faba yelped.
My eyes widened, "We need to get there faster."
"Eevee!" Autumn called back, "Use Tackle!"
"Autumn can understand Pokemon?" Gladion asked as we ran to the jet.
"Alakazam! Psychic!" The screen went black a moment later.
"Roxy's been broken!" Rotom freaked out.
"Don't worry," Hobbes said as we sat on the jet, "We'll be there in no more than a moment."
Which was true. We landed on the beach just outside Professor Kukui's house to see him running inside again, "Professor!" I called out, being the first one off the plane.
"Ash!" He turned to me, "Are you alright?"
I nodded, "I'm fine. What about Autumn, Oricorio, Riolu and Eevee?"
"Eevee, Nebby and Autumn aren't here," He reported, going back to taking care of Oricorio and Riolu, "And I don't know where they could be."
"Faba took them," Gladion stated.
"Why would he take Autumn and Eevee?" Lillie asked.
We all knew why he would want Nebby, "Autumn can understand Pokemon," Gladion explained, "He probably wants to know how."
I glared, "He's not going to get a chance. Professor, how are Oricorio and Riolu?"
"They're both fine," Kukui answered, "Just need rest."
"Alright," I turned to Lillie and Gladion, "Do either of you know where Faba would go?"
"Aether Paradise," Gladion immediately answered, "Everything he would need is there."
I nodded, "Mind if I borrow your jet?"
"We're going with you," Lillie stated, "We need all the help we can get if he has Autumn and Nebby."
I didn't argue because it would be great if they came with me, "Let's go," Gladion led the way.
"Stay safe," Professor Kukui told us before we boarded the plane.
I didn't answer, determined to get Autumn back home. She shouldn't have to go through all of this and I needed to make sure she was protected from everything that could hurt her. Gladion most likely felt the same way about Lillie, "Lillie! Gladion!" Lusamine greeted us once we landed, "I'm so glad you came to visit."
"This isn't a visit mother," Gladion stated and explained what was going on as we walked to the elevator.
When we got there, I didn't like what I was seeing. Autumn just barely keeping a full blown panic attack at bay with a Pokemon by her side in the air, being held there by Psychic. Nebby was trapped in a box, screaming in pain that Autumn could no doubt feel, "Autumn!" And everything went crazy from there.
Autumn was freed, but was taken through an Ultra Wormhole with Lusamine who had been taken by an Ultra Beast. I fell to my knees with Lillie once they were completely gone, "Lillie! Ash!" Gladion was able to snap me out of it.
I smiled a bit, "I'm alright. Check on Lillie," I told him. He knew I wasn't, but still checked on her instead.
No one really said anything, shocked at what had just happened, "Faba!" Burnet finally cried out, her and Wicke walking towards him, "Why did you do that without permission?" She was trying to stay level headed, but I could tell she was worried.
Faba was at a loss for words, "Because… because it's all Lusamine's fault, not mine!" He cried out, "I'm innocent!"
No one believed him, "I'll save her," I heard Lillie whisper, "I've got to. I've got to save my mother!"
I walked over to them, "I'm coming too. I'll help you out and save Autumn at the same time."
Gladion walked forward a bit, "I'm sorry you two got dragged into this," I nodded, then he turned to Professor Burnet, "Professor Burnet? About reopening the Ultra Wormhole-"
"Not possible," She answered, walking towards us, "It will take time to fix the machine. Even if it gets fixed, there's no guarantee the Ultra Wormhole can be stabilized. We need to find another way."
"But Autumn and Lusamine were taken through it!" I was really desperate, "We have to go after them!"
Burnet placed a hand on my shoulder, "We'll find another way. I promise."
"For now," Wicke suggested, "You should head back to the island."
"But why?" Lillie asked.
"Why?" I asked at the same time, "We could help you research!"
"Ash, Lillie," Burnet placed a hand on each of our shoulders, "There's really nothing you can do right now. You need to rest for now, for when it really counts."
Sylveon came up to us, holding Nebby and something else, "Nebby!" I quickly took Nebby.
"Ash, what is that?" Burnet asked.
I showed her, "It's Nebby! All of a sudden, Nebby got really small."
"It's completely immobilized!" Rotom yelped.
"Huh," Burnet looked him over, "Is it evolving?
"Autumn thought that too," I frowned.
"It's just a guess," Burnet assured me, "For now, I think you should keep looking out for it."
"Right," I looked at the smaller Nebby sadly.
"Syl!" Sylveon handed me something else.
"This is Autumn's Z-Ring!" The only thing that was broken was the band on it.
"Is it broken?" Lillie asked.
I shook my head, "No, just the band," Her Steelium Z was in it, "I'll hold onto it for her."
I gripped it tighter, trying to hold my tears in, "Don't worry," Lillie whispered, "Tonight, we'll find a way to save them."
"I know we will," I answered, "I just hope we're not too late."
We slowly walked back to the plane and were soon on our way back to Melemele Island after that. The air in the plane was depressing as I stared at Nebby and Autumn's broken Z-Ring, "Ash," Gladion was surprisingly the one to break the silence, "Why did Autumn grab mother?"
I slumped in the seat a little, "Autumn's been through a lot, but I don't know everything that's happened to her. Just that she saw her mom die," Both Lillie and Gladion's eyes widened, "She'll do anything to make sure no one has to go through the same thing she did, even if it's only temporary. She'll even touch someone."
After that, we were all silent once more and didn't say anything until I was saying goodbye, "Ash!" Professor Kukui was waiting for me with Oricorio and Riolu, awake and anxious, "Are you alright? Where's Autumn?"
I frowned and showed him Nebby and Autumn's Z-Ring, "Autumn was taken through an Ultra Wormhole."
Kukui pulled me into a hug and guided me inside, "Tell me everything," He asked once we were sitting on the couch.
So, I told him. From finding Autumn to her and Lusamine being taken through the Ultra Wormhole, "We can't do anything now so they sent us back."
Kukui didn't say anything for a moment, but Riolu made her displeasure clear in both herself and me, "Ash," I turned to see Kukui looking directly at me, "If you do anything, just make sure to tell me before you leave. Alright?"
That's why I left a note explaining what I was going to do for him, "Lillie," I asked once I arrived outside of her house, "Are you ready?"
She nodded, "Gladion's coming as well," Gladion walked out behind her and closed the gate.
"Do you know where to go?" I asked him.
He nodded, "I do, but we're going to have to go to Poni Island first."
"Let's go," Lillie smiled and we were off.
We arrived after the sun rose and started on the path to the Altar of the Sunne not long after, "Ash," Gladion asked, "How many Pokemon do you have with you?"
"All of mine and Autumns," I answered, "I would have left Oricorio, Riolu and Sylveon at home, but they wouldn't let me leave unless I took them with me."
"We may need them," He nodded, then we continued.
It wasn't long until we arrived at the entrance to the Altar of the Sunne, "Lillie, what are you doing?" I asked.
She stopped and looked at me, "That door won't open unless we solve the puzzle, right?" She asked.
Gladion walked up to it, "Hold on," It took little effort to open it, "It seems to me that moving those statues is the problem."
I nodded, "It must be placed there as a trick."
Lillie nodded, "Alright, let's go in then," We went in quietly, but were stopped once more where a bridge once was.
"What's that for?" Gladion asked as Lillie sprinkled sand into the cavern.
"I'm just searching for the invisible bridge!" Lillie smiled.
I smiled, "That would be so cool!"
"Stop," Gladion stated and held out his hand from on top Silvally, "Come with me."
Silvally jumped over the cavern with little effort. We got off and started walking once again, "Am I a burden to you two?" Lillie asked.
"If you are, are you going to stay behind?" Gladion asked.
Lillie thought for a moment, "Guess not."
"Then move forward and keep looking ahead. Even if you went back, nothing would change, no matter what you do. It wouldn't bring Mother back, either."
"The best thing to do is to be here," I added, "And help when you can."
Lillie nodded, "I will."
We arrived in an empty room, "Wonder why this is here," I mumbled, looking around more closely.
The Altar of the Sunne was right across this room, but we had to fight a Totem Pokemon. I didn't join because I knew none of my Pokemon could help, "Hey, Gladion," Lillie asked, "Is it possible for Silvally to switch to a Fairy type?"
"Wait!" I pulled out Sylveon and called her out, "Sylveon, do you know any Fairy type moves?" I asked her, pointing at the Kommo-o, "We need to get through in order to save Autumn."
What came out was the biggest Moonblast I had ever seen, "How powerful is that Pokemon?" Gladion asked.
I blinked, "I didn't think that would happen," Kommo-o fainted onto the ground.
Lillie's eyes widened, "We need to hurry!" She cried out, pushing us through.
"Why?" I asked, then looked up, "Oh," And we were running. We weren't going to make it, "Pikachu! Electro Ball!" I called out as it broke the rock that would have hit us.
We took a break once we were outside of the place, "That was close," Lillie said.
I nodded, "Thank you Sylveon," I called her back into her ball and put it away.
"If we have any more battles," Gladion stated, "We're going to have to be more careful."
"Hey!" A group of voices called after us from behind.
We turned to see the rest of our class and Professor Kukui, "Thank goodness you're okay!" Mallow was the first to speak.
"What are you all doing here?" Lillie asked.
"We're here to help," Kiawe stated.
I smiled, "Great!"
Gladion was less accepting, "This is a family matter. You guys shouldn't have come."
"Gladion," I told him, "In Alola, people share all sorts of stuff, right? And if that's true then that means we can share our family stuff with them, too! Besides, I already see everyone here as family. We'll do everything together and pitch in to help out with the big stuff, too. Don't you think that's a good idea?"
"Pika!" Pikachu added.
Gladion was still uncertain, but Lillie was able to persuade him, "Thanks for your help," Gladion finally agreed.
I beamed, "Let's look for Solgaleo! Let's do it for Lillie's mom and Autumn!"
"Right!" Everyone cheered.
When we finally reached the Altar of the Sunne, the Alolan Island Guardians were there as well.
