As I was reading through this, I noticed that I had my chapters numbered wrong. Turns out, this one has three chapters saying that it's number 9, but this is the true number 9. Just thinking about it makes me want to laugh! I hope everyone's having a great day, mine's been okay so far. Like I promised, this one is coming at you much earlier!... depending on where you live at least. Oh well, I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: Very bad weather. Sickness. Someone in extreme danger. Very little talk of child abuse.

Disclaimer: Don't own Pokemon. Autumn's mine.

-Ash's P.O.V.-

The Island Guardians didn't do anything for a moment. Then Tapu Lele started flying around all of us, "If you're looking for Autumn, then she's not here," I told her, "Autumn was taken with Lusamine into an Ultra Wormhole and we're here to get them back."

"We need the assistance of Solgaleo," Lillie joined me, "So we can open up an Ultra Wormhole!"

"Help us!" Gladion sounded a bit desperate, "Is it possible to meet Solgaleo here at the Altar of the Sunne?"

Instead of answering our question, they showed us the dream I had and how Autumn and I met Nebby, but with all four Island Guardians there. Apparently, they left just before we arrived there, "The Island Guardians!" I was pumped, "That means they were all there back then!"

"You were entrusted with Nebby by Solgaleo and Lunala, with Autumn to help when needed," Professor Kukui told me, "Not to mention all four of Alola's Island Guardians as well!"

"Entrusted?" I asked, still trying to wrap my head around it. Until Rowlet started panicking, "Huh? Hey, what's going on?" I asked as Rowlet burst out of my backpack, "What's wrong Rowlet?" I asked, then really wished Autumn was here so she could translate what Rowlet said.

"Is something wrong with Nebby?" Kiawe asked as Nebby floated down to my hands.

"It seems fine," Sophocles answered.

"Maybe Nebby's trying to break out of the cocoon?" Mallow suggested.

I had to turn and present Nebby to Tapu Koko as he came to me, "Here's Nebby. It's not moving or anything. It makes no noise," I was letting all of my worry for Nebby out, "All it does is float around."

The Island Guardians took Nebby and Tapu Lele and Tapu Fini started to dance around him. Tapu Bulu and Tapu Koko just watched. Gladion watched for all of a few seconds, "Will you please focus?" He asked, "I've got to rescue Mother and I don't have a moment to spare! This is no time to be messing around!"

Tapu Koko obviously wasn't happy, but I went forward with Lillie, "Gladion," She placed a hand on his shoulder, "Let's wait for them. We should trust in the Island Guardians."

"She's right," I added, "When Legendary or Mythical Pokemon do this kind of thing, they have a reason. We can't rush them," Then I looked at Tapu Koko, "Although, could you guys do this as fast as you can? We need to save Lusamine and Autumn."

"Koko," Tapu Koko floated to me, obviously telling me to be patient.

"Alright, I'll wait," I didn't like it, but I still waited anxiously.

Professor Kukui left after a while, going to make sure Professor Burnet made it safely while we waited. Eventually, I joined my classmates in looking away, "Ash," Mallow asked, "While we're waiting, why not tell us about how you and Autumn met!"

"Yeah!" Lana agreed, "You've never told us that story!"

"Are you sure you want to hear it?" I asked, petting Pikachu and Riolu who got tired of waiting in her ball, "It's not exactly a happy one."

"If you're willing to share," Gladion said, "Then none of us would mind listening."

"Plus, it'll give us something to do," Lillie finished.

I smiled, "Alright. We met during a blizzard. It was a really bad one and mom just asked me to stay inside for the day…

-Flashback-

I groaned and flopped onto the couch. With the blizzard, I couldn't go outside unless it was an 'emergency' and that didn't include boredom (I asked). Luckily, I was saved from my boredom by a knock on the door, along with something being yelled, "I'm coming!" I cried out, running to the door and throwing it open to see a blue and black Pokemon, "Wow!" I beamed and leaned down, "A Pokemon I've never seen before! What Pokemon are you? Do you have a trainer? Are you wi-" It cut me off by covering my mouth.

"Rio ri olu, riolu!" It kept on pointing towards the forest and looked really upset.

I didn't even question it, "Give me a second to get ready to go outside," I told it, already putting on my coat, "I promised mom I would if I went out."

Soon, I was in full winter attire, including a hat, scarf and gloves, "Ri!" It started pulling me towards the forest.

I followed as fast as I could and was surprised when we stopped in front of a lump in the snow, "Is your friend buried here?" I asked as the Pokemon started digging.

"Riolu!" It took my hand and started using it to move the snow.

Quickly getting the message, I started digging at the lump in the snow and stopped when I saw a human hand, "Your trainer's stuck!" I started to pull them out when the Pokemon glared at me.

"Riolu ri rio lu olu!" It tried to tell me.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand you," The Pokemon looked surprised, "But if you want me to help your trainer, then I need to touch them."

The Pokemon looked conflicted, but eventually nodded, "Ri. Lu rio, riolu."

"Thank you," I pulled them by the hand to reveal a girl about my age with bright red hair and white skin. I pulled my glove off and touched her, pulling back almost instantly, "She's freezing!" I turned to the Pokemon, quickly getting the girl situated on my back, "I hope you know the way back," I told her.

It seemed to know what I was saying because it quickly started leading the way. It took longer to get back home, but I quickly got her on the couch and piled as many blankets on her as I could, then called mom, "Ash Ketchum," She scolded, "I thought I told you not to go outside unless it was an emergency."

"I know, but a Pokemon showed up and took me to their trainer and she's really hurt," I moved out of the way so she could see the girl on the couch, "And she's really cold."

Mom looked horrified, "Ash, try and warm her up as much as you can. Professor Oak and I will be there in a moment," Then she hung up.

I took off my winter gear and went over to the Pokemon, who curled up beside the girl, "I know you don't like people touching her," I told her, "But my mom and Professor Oak are coming to help. They're going to need to touch her to help her."

It didn't tell me anything, but by the Pokemon's pout, I could tell they didn't like it. Mom and Professor Oak showed up very soon, "Ash!" Mom smiled, "Where is she?"

"Right here," I pointed to the couch and Professor Oak quickly got to work.

"Delia, do you have any hot chocolate?" He asked, then turned to me, "Ash, I'm going to ask you to start a warm bath. Don't make it hot, just warm, alright?"

"Got it!" I nodded.

"Delia, do you have any clothes she could wear? These are useless," I heard him ask as I went into the bathroom and started a bath.

Mom was the only one allowed in the room while the girl was in the bathroom, but when she was out, she looked a lot better, "Her temperature's up," Mom observed as she carried her back to the couch, "But she's still too cold."

Professor Oak quickly checked her temperature, "It's much better than it used to be. If you start a fire and she stays close to it, she should recover fully."

"Do you know who she is? Or what that Pokemon is?" Mom asked as said Pokemon curled up next to the girl once more.

Professor Oak shook his head, "I've never seen her before, but the Pokemon is a Riolu. They're not common around here, but it's not unheard of."

Mom nodded, "Alright, we'll keep you updated if anything changes with her."

"I'll stay here for tonight," I put another blanket on her, hoping it would help, "Would you mind if I stayed until the blizzard died down, actually?"

"Of course not," Mom instantly agreed as they moved into the kitchen. I stayed to watch the girl and Pokemon, hoping that I would have a partner that close to me when I turned ten.

The blizzard was gone by the morning, but the girl still hadn't woken up. It actually took a few days for her to wake up and it was only after we discovered multiple cuts and bruises on her that hadn't been taken care of. I was watching her with mom in the kitchen when she started to wake up, "Mom! She's waking up!" I called out.

"Mimmy," Mom asked Mr. Mime, "Can you get Professor Oak for us?"

"Mime mime!" Mr. Mime answered and left the house.

I leaned forward as her eyes opened with a beaming smile, "Hi!" She screamed and backed away, curling up into a ball in the corner, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" I tried to walk forward, but realized that it only scared her more, so I stopped, "I'm Ash," I introduced, "The one your Riolu came to get when you passed out in that blizzard a few days ago."

"Ash, honey," Mom told me while pulling me back, "Let's give her some space. She just woke up."

"But I wanna get to know her!" I pouted.

Mom placed a hand on my shoulder, "Ash, just be patient," Then she turned to the still terrified girl, "I'm sorry if my son startled you when you woke up," Mom kneeled on the ground, "Would you mind telling us your name?"

She moved her hands instead of speaking, "Can't you speak?" I asked.

Riolu finally got through us and ran straight towards the girl, giving her a hug which the girl reciprocated tightly, "Alright," Mom didn't seem bothered by Riolu being with her, "How old are you?"

She held up eight fingers and I beamed, "I'm eight too! Wait, if you're eight, then how come you have a Pokemon?"

"Ash," Mom looked at me again, "Sometimes People are able to have Pokemon before they turn ten, but only in very special circumstances. And we never ask about it, remember?"

"Oh," I turned to the girl who was staring at us, still terrified, "I'm sorry."

"Professor Oak will be here soon," Mom told her, "Would you mind if he checked your injuries?" That made her look even more afraid, "It's alright! You can do it, but only if you know what to do already. If not, we'll guide you through it."

Professor Oak came in with Mr. Mime right then, "Alright, where is she?" He asked, hanging his coat up, "Oh!" He smiled and started walking towards her, "Hello, I'm Professor Oak."

I pulled him back, "She doesn't like us getting too close," I told him, "So we need to keep our distance."

Professor Oak's smile didn't waiver, "Alright, what's your name?" He didn't move forward again.

She moved her hands once more, "Is that sign language?" Mom asked.

Professor Oak nodded, "It is. She says her name's Autumn and… she's asking us to not tell her father where she is."

I was fascinated by sign language, wanting to know more about it, "Why not? Wouldn't she want her parents to know about what happened?"

I tilted my head to the side, "Did your dad hurt you?" Mom asked and she tentatively nodded, "What about your mom?" She shook her head, "Alright… do you know where your mom is?"

She used sign language again, making Professor Oak gasp, "Oh my! She says that her mother died!"

Mom gasped as well, "Oh my, poor dear," Mom looked on the verge of tears.

I had the perfect solution, "Why don't you stay here then?" I beamed, "That way, your dad won't find you and you can join me on my Pokemon Journey when I turn ten!"

-Flashback end-

"Later, Autumn told me that she was planning on leaving as soon as she was better, but she ended up staying and just… never left," I finished, "Although it took almost a month for her to fully get better."

"I knew you found her in the snow," Kiawe said after a moment, "But I didn't think it was that bad."

"No wonder her immune system isn't as strong as ours!" Mallow stated, "She's been through a lot!"

Everyone else was still shocked and we ended up waiting the rest of the time in silence. I pulled out Autumn's broken Z-Ring and held it in my hand, trying to reassure myself that we would find her. We turned back around when we heard something moving, "Huh?" I beamed once I realized what was happening, "All right! The Altar of the Sunne!"

"Does that mean," Gladion asked, "That Solgaleo…" He didn't actually finish his question.

Turns out, Nebby was Solgaleo, "You look amazing! You know that?" I smiled.

Mallow was next, "Ash is so right! You're just so big and strong now!"

"I never thought you would evolve into Solgaleo in a gazillion years!" Sophocles wanted more data on what just happened.

Lana was just excited, "I got to meet a Legendary Pokemon!"

"Wow," Kiawe whispered, "I'm speechless," We all faced him shocked as he finally let it all out, "At this moment! I've been moved as if my heart was in Inferno Overdrive!"

Lillie was the first to walk forward, "Would you allow me to touch you?" She asked, "I'd really like that," Soon, Lillie was giving Solgaleo a hug, "You're so warm. I can feel it. The power of the sun!" She moved away a moment later, "Thank you!"

I gave him some star candy and everyone quickly ran forward, "Solgaleo," I asked, getting serious once more, "We would really like you to take us into an Ultra Wormhole."

"We're all trying to rescue my mother," Lillie added.

"And Autumn," Kiawe finished.

"We hope that you'll help us," Lillie finished.

Gladion walked forward, "Please help," He sounded a bit desperate, but we had nothing to worry about.

Solgaleo gave me a Z-Crystal that didn't fit in my Z-Ring, which the Island Guardians played hot potato with it, taking Autumn's with it, "Wait! You took Autumn's as well!" I tried to tell them, but they just kept on throwing it around.

When I got both of them back, my Z-Ring was now black and the Z-Crystal would fit inside it. Autumn's was now as red as her hair with a brown line on it where it had been broken, "They both changed," Mallow observed.

"They evolved!" I beamed, putting the Z-Crystal inside mine, "Thanks a lot Tapu Koko!"

They all trilled as Gladion got excited, "Now we can go to the other side of the Ultra Wormhole where my mother and Autumn were taken?" He asked.

Solgaleo roared, then leaned down to let us on, "First let's get our Pokemon into their Pokeballs," Kiawe suggested as we all recalled them.

I was in front with Pikachu (Riolu only went into her Pokeball as long as I promised to let her out as soon as we saw Autumn) as everyone else got on behind me. I did a Z-Move, powering up Solgaleo just before he created an Ultra Wormhole and we went through, "We're coming Autumn," I mumbled as we went through.

It was only afterwards that I remembered Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet wanted to help us, but we couldn't go back now. The world we went to was amazing and shocking at the same time. Sophocles was the only one freaking out, "You normally do research and make sure you're prepared before you go exploring an unknown world, but there was no time for that!"

"Guys?" Autumn's voice asked tentatively.

We all turned to see her coming from behind some of the rocks, "Autumn!" We all cried out, running towards her to give her a group hug.

We pulled back not too long after, "I'm so glad we found you!" I told her, going to give her another hug, but paused, "Wait, how badly are you hurt?" I started to look her over.

She sighed, "I'm fine," She pulled a rock that looked a lot like the ones surrounding us in the shape of a heart, closer to her chest, "I promise. Wait," She walked up to Solgaleo, "Is that Nebby?!"

I beamed, "Yep! Nebby's final evolved form is Solgaleo!"

Autumn beamed, "Wow! You look amazing, Nebby!" She tackled him in a quick hug, "But right now, we need to find Lusamine."

"What's happening to our mother?" Gladion asked.

Autumn frowned, "Right now? She's slowly merging with UB-01 Symbiont, but if we don't get her out before her entire body's in it's membrane then we won't be able to save her."

"What do you mean?" Lillie asked, scared.

"If we separate her from the Ultra Beast and she's entirely in the membrane, then forcibly pulling them apart will kill her."

Everyone gasped, "How far along is she?" Kiawe asked, being the first to snap out of it.

"Just barely getting to her waist," Autumn reassured, "We have time to save her."

"Do you know where she's at?" Sophocles asked hopefully.

Autumn shook her head, "No, but she should be somewhere on this rock. Also, don't call out your Pokemon yet. Wait until we need them or every single one of them will be singled out by an Ultra Beast here."

That's when Lusamine showed up.
