So... this chapter is practically filled with romance. If you don't like it, just skip it because the next chapter will tell you all you need to know about this, but... the next chapter will have warnings... I think. I still need to read through it once more before I post it. Hopefully I remember and post it earlier in the day or night depending on where you live. Still, enjoy!
Warnings: None... I don't think so anyway. If there is and I missed one, tell me.
Disclaimer: Don't own Pokemon and I highly doubt I ever will. Autumn is mine.
-Autumn's P.O.V.-
I worked on the dress as much as I could and accidently missed our meet up since I was with Burnet as I did the first fitting, "Autumn," Burnet asked me as I pinned the cloth together, "Are you alright with Kukui and I getting married?"
I paused and sat up in my wheelie chair, "Yeah, why?"
"I want to make sure you're alright with all of this," She lightly gestured to the white cloth that was being pinned to her, "You are his niece. Your thoughts on this matter just as much as ours."
"I think it's an amazing idea," I smiled, "Both of you love each other and want the other to be as happy as they can be. Yeah, sometimes I'm nervous around both of you and can't touch either of you, but you're here for me and each other. I honestly think it would be a crime for you two to not get married from how much you love each other," I started pinning the dress again.
"Thank you," Burnet said after a bit, "Ash just asked me why he would be against it and I couldn't answer."
"Ash is really excited to see a wedding," I finished pinning it and sat up, "Alright, there's going to be one final fitting in a few days, but other than that, your dress is all done."
"I can't believe you've done all this in just a few days!" Burnet smiled, looking at the dress again and quickly changing, "It's better than any wedding dress I've seen."
The one we chose (since I couldn't decide on my own and it was her wedding dress) was pure white. The top was tight with one sleeve on the right side. The skirt was puffy, but would be a little above the ground with her shoes on and had three flowy layers. There was also a thin, light pink ribbon wrapped around her waist where the skirt began (you could barely tell that the ribbon was actually pink), "I work fast when I'm motivated."
She smiled, "Alright, but what about Kukui's suit?"
"That's mostly done," I pointed to the covered mannequin, "All that's left is the final fitting which is going to happen tonight."
"Wow, you do work fast," She complimented
That's when I realized the time and groaned, "I missed our meet up!"
Burnet laughed as she grabbed her bag, "I'm sure they'll forgive you, especially with those dresses," She pointed to the ones I had for Mallow, Lana and Lillie, "Their beautiful."
I blushed, "Those still aren't done. They need a final fitting, but I don't know how they're going to look on them."
"They're going to love them," She opened the door, "Would you like a ride home?"
"No thank you. I want to work on your dress a bit more before I have to go home."
"Alright, just don't stay up too late."
"I won't!" I finally got the dress on a mannequin and started working. I distantly heard the door shut as I concentrated more on the dress. Then I fell asleep there without meaning to. I know because I jerked awake that morning in my own bed, "Oh man! I did it again!" I flopped back onto my bed, burying my head in my pillows.
Kukui knocked on the door and opened it, "Make sure you set an alarm next time, alright? Neither Burnet nor I want you working yourself to exhaustion."
"I'll ask Roxy to set an alarm for me," I mumbled, climbing out of bed.
Then the night of the wedding came and instead of working on the dress or suit, I was making a cake, "Autumn," Kiawe came in, "I brought you the Moomoo milk you asked for."
"Thank you so much!" I took it from him and gave him a quick hug, "Now it'll be perfect!"
He followed me to the kitchen, already taking note of how messy it was, "How long have you been cooking?"
"Five minutes," I admitted, "This all happened because Ash wanted to help, but he's starting to get behind on homework so I forced him to go home and work on it."
"How can it get this messy in five minutes?"
"I'm still trying to figure that out," I paused as an egg fell from the ceiling.
"How about I clean this up while you bake?" Kiawe suggested, already starting to clean, "And we make sure Ash doesn't cook again."
"Sounds like a plan," I smiled.
With his help, I was able to get home on time and keep Ash from blowing the entire thing because he was so excited. Then the day of the wedding came and I woke up hours early because of a really bad nightmare along with Riolu. So, we quickly frosted the cake with white frosting, light pink flowers and gray vines on it, "Autumn!" Mallow beamed as I drove up, "Is the cake done?"
I brought it out of the car to show her, "Here it is."
Sophocles was drooling, "So good!"
"Can we have some now?" Ash asked, "We can taste test it to make sure it's done right!"
"The Professors get the first pieces," Lillie answered.
"Plus, I already tasted it," I smiled, "I made an extra layer so my Pokemon and I ate it."
"Where are we putting the tables of food?" Lana asked, getting us to the reason we were all here.
Soon, everything was ready, "Now all that's left is the bride and groom," Kiawe nodded, proud of the set up.
"Their clothes are in the jeep and so are ours," I answered, "We can leave Professor Kukui's suit here for him while Mallow, Lana, Lillie and I go help Professor Burnet."
Almost immediately, they were all in the jeep ready to help Professor Burnet get ready, "Professor Burnet!" We whispered loudly when we arrived.
She opened her eyes and sat up, clearly still tired, "Lana? Mallow? Lillie? Autumn? What are you guys doing here?"
We just smiled, "No time to explain," Lana said, pulling her out of bed.
Mallow nodded, helping, "Right now, you need to shower so we can help you get ready."
She wasn't able to question us before she was in her bathroom with the door closed, "What are we going to do with her hair?" Lillie asked.
"How about we put it in a bun?" I asked.
"With two strands curled at the front!" Lana added.
"You two do her hair," Mallow agreed, "Lillie and I will do her makeup."
While she was showering, we all got ready as well. Since we all wanted to wear something for the special occasion, I made all of us simple summer dresses. Lillie's was white, Mallows green, Lana's blue and mine was red, "Stylish, comfortable and cute," Lana observed when we were all ready.
We pushed Professor Burnet into a chair as soon as the door to the bathroom opened. Once hair and make-up were done, she got into her dress and we put a vail, small flower hair clip in her hair, a light pink pearl necklace and white heeled sandals that would be easy for her to walk on in the sand, "So, you guys planned our wedding?" She asked as we drove to Professor Kukui's.
"Yep!" Mallow beamed.
"We were all disappointed that we wouldn't be able to go, so we thought this would be a perfect wedding gift," Lillie answered as we arrived.
"Where's Ash?" I asked, looking around.
"He's walking up Professor Kukui," Kiawe answered.
I nodded and went to get Professor Kukui's suit. He ran outside to see the entire thing, "Here you go Professor Kukui!" I handed him his suit, "It's time for you to get ready. Rotom! Roxy! You two are still taking pictures?"
"Of course!" Rotom beamed.
"Why wouldn't we?" Roxy nodded.
"We should be getting the final preparations finished," Mallow started herding everyone back outside, "Professor Kukui shouldn't be long."
I stayed to make sure he would know where to go and to make sure he got the tie right. I ended up having to fix his bowtie a bit and the wedding was underway. The entire thing was beautiful and went off without a hitch. Although, we were all dragged a bit away by Lusamine and Wicke to talk to Faba, "I'm so very very sorry!" He cried out, kneeling on the ground.
I wasn't looking since his Pokemon were out and he had a Hypno, "Always go for what you want and never stop until you have it. No matter the cost."
Kiawe wrapped an arm around me, helping me not look at the Pokemon, "Faba, can you recall your Pokemon?" Ash asked, "Specifically Hypno?"
He quickly did so, but the pain was already in my head, "I've decided that Faba is going to have a fresh start. He'll work under Wicke," Lusamine explained, "But only if you all agree."
It's like they all looked at me, waiting for my answer, "Faba," I kneeled, "Please look at me," He did so and I could see and feel the regret flowing off him in waves. He'll never do anything like that again, "I won't forget what you did," He looked down, ashamed, "But I forgive you," He looked at me, shocked.
So was everyone else, "You do?!" They asked.
"He won't do something like that again," I answered and stood up, "So I think a fresh start is exactly what he needs."
"Considering everything I did to you all," Faba said, still not getting up, "This is a very lenient punishment."
"Faba, you won't do it again," I told him.
Lillie agreed, "Come on, Faba, hold your head up high."
"Lillie's right," Ash added.
"Thanks for your support and for being so kind," Faba answered, finally standing up.
"Hey, everyone," Lusamine got our attention before we could leave, "There's something we'd like to ask you to do. The next time an Ultra Beast appears, we want to ask all of you for your help," She explained.
Lillie was shocked, "For our help?"
"You're some of the few special people who have traveled to the other side of the Ultra Wormhole and battled Nihilego."
"Nihilego?" Rotom asked.
"That's what the UB-01 Symbiont's call themselves," I answered.
Roxy beamed, "Nihilego! Data updated!"
"Please Faba," Wicke asked, "Could you show Ash and the others the materials on the Ultra Guardians, if you wouldn't mind?"
"Yes, Chief!" Faba quickly showed us.
"What in the world are Ultra Guardians?" All of us asked as we looked over the files Faba was showing us.
"We want you to become members of the Ultra Guardians. We hope, as Ultra Guardians, that you will all help us to capture the Ultra Beasts when they appear."
"I don't understand," Kiawe stood back up, "Why would you capture them?"
"Ultra Wormholes are much more likely to open up in the Alola region at this time," Lusamine explained, "Still, among all the Ultra Beasts who have been spotted, we think some of them may have simply wandered to the Alola region by accident."
"And if that's the case, we need to return them to their world," Wicke finished, "We've concluded that's the best thing to do. Therefore, we'd like your help with this most important task."
"Ash, will you? Everyone?" Lusamine asked, "The Ultra Guardians actively contribute to protecting the Alolan people."
"Protecting the Alolan people?" Kiawe was definitely in.
"I'd love to help you out," Ash smiled.
"Me too!" Kiawe agreed.
"And me too!" Mallow was next.
"Yeah," Sophocles answered, "I'm with everyone!"
"Me, too!" Lana finished, "I'll help!"
"I'll help out anyway I can," I nodded.
"I guess," Lillie sounded a bit unsure, then smiled, "I'll help, Mother. The way you've been so positive and kept moving forward even after everything you've been through, I love that!"
Lusamine was super proud at that moment, but we had to leave for the wedding bouquet toss which Olivia caught. Once she caught it, Solgalo roared and caught everyone's attention for a moment, "Come visit anytime Nebby!" I called out once Ash and Lillie thanked him.
After that, we went back to the reception and the dancing started, "Autumn," Kiawe asked, "Would you like to dance?"
"I would love to," Neither of us were great dancers on the sand, but we still had a lot of fun.
"You're much better at this than I am," Kiawe admitted.
"I just have more practice," I pointed to Ash and Lillie, "Ash can't dance without a partner."
"He's that bad?"
"Worse. I've been trying, but nothing I do seems to work."
"Autumn!" Mimo ran to join us, "Are you and big brother finally dating?"
Both of us turned red, "Sorry Mimo," I finally got out, "We're not… yet."
Kiawe still looked nervous, but still said, "A-actually, I wanted to ask… would you be willing to go out with me?" My eyes were wide as Mimo was buzzing, "Ash already knows if you're worried about that."
I couldn't move for a moment, then I slowly felt myself nod, "She accepts," Riolu answered from my shoulder.
I took her off my shoulder, making her stop moving my head, "I would love to," I answered, smiling.
Mimo beamed, "I'll go tell Mom and Dad!" And she was gone.
"Mimo! Wait!" Kiawe ran after her as I laughed, then I noticed Ash and Lillie.
Ash was completely frozen with Lillie freaking out, "Ash, please say something," She pleaded as I walked up to them.
I looked between them, "What did you say to him?"
Lillie blushed, "I told him that I felt the same as he did for me. He told me before everything happened a month ago and I just decided to tell him."
Riolu joined Pikachu in laughing on the ground, "He'll be fine," I patted her shoulder, "He's just processing. He's liked others before, but nothing like you and he's just shocked that you actually like him back."
She just blushed harder as I moved away so they could have fun, thinking that we could go on a double date with them if everything worked out. The Professors were finally eating their slices of cake, causing everyone to go after one, "This is delicious!" Olivia beamed after she had her first bite, "Who made this?"
"I did," I smiled, "I'm glad you like it."
"Autumn!" Lana dragged me away, "You have to come see this!"
I let her drag me away to see Kiawe trying to calm Mimo down who was still super excited, "When will your first date be?" She finally asked.
Lana just smirked, "Isn't it great?"
I rolled my eyes and held my hand out as Lillie, Mallow, Ash and Sophocles came up to us, "It is, but you still owe me twenty bucks."
She frowned, but handed it to me, "Wait, why did she owe you money?" Kiawe asked.
Mallow laughed, "They made a bet on when Ash and Lillie would admit their feelings to each other. Apparently Autumn won."
"You did what?!" Ash asked, shocked.
"Come on, I knew you were going to tell her and she was going to tell you! You two are perfect together!" I beamed.
Mallow walked up to Lana, "Besides, we've done this before," She said while handing Lana twenty dollars.
"Who did you two bet on?" Sophocles asked.
"Autumn and Kiawe," They answered at the same time.
Lana was smirking once again, "I just had to show Autumn when I realized I won that bet."
"I even have one with Mallow about Lana and someone else," I answered, "Then I have one with Lana about Mallow and someone else."
"Who's the someone else?" Sophocles asked.
"Secret," Lana answered.
Mallow nodded, "It stays secret until the two get together or they get together with others."
The conversation ended when Lillie was handed money by Mallow and Lana, telling the boys that she was in on it as well. Then we wished the Professors farewell as they left for their honeymoon. We timed the wedding so they would be able to be gone for an entire week since we were off from school on break again. We all had plans the next day, but were all going to meet up to sleep over at the house for the night, "I wonder when they'll be able to use these dresses," Sylveon told me as I put the designs on the dresses, "They're really beautiful."
"I was thinking of waiting until a dance," I admitted, "Then we can all go in them!"
"What about you?" Oricorio asked, "You haven't made a dress for yourself yet."
"She has it at home," Riolu answered as she handed me another flower, "It's already done, she just doesn't have an excuse to wear it."
"Yet," I added.
Kiawe arrived first, "Mimo's been trying to help me plan our date," He admitted, "Which gave me great motivation to finish and come here."
I laughed, "She's just being supportive!" Then I handed him a CD, "This is the copy I promised Mimo, could you make sure she gets it?"
Lana and Sophocles were the next two to arrive, "I can't believe you brought all of that," Lana said as they came through the door.
"I came prepared!" Sophocles defended as he wheeled a suitcase behind him, "And I want to see if I can update the app Autumn and I are working on!"
"What's everything that you brought?" I asked.
Turns out, it was a lot of stuff that all of us thought was a bit much, but it still looked cool, "I'm here!" Mallow cried out as she ran into the house, "Wait, where are Ash and Lillie?"
"Their training," I answered, "Lillie and Ash seem to do it every week so she can get stronger."
"Kind of like we do, but with martial arts," Kiawe smiled.
"Do you think they lost track of time?" Sophocles asked.
"With Ash there, I would say so, but Lillie's usually able to arrive on time," Mallow nodded.
"I set a timer on Rotom," I said, "So if they do get distracted, they'll be interrupted so they come before it becomes fully dark."
They arrived a few minutes before it became fully dark, but we all had a really fun night. We did have to make sure we went to sleep on time since Mallow and Kiawe had things to do tomorrow, but it wasn't too bad. The rest of the week passed in pure fun for all of us.
