Today is the very last day you'll be getting a chapter a day. Sad, I know, but I honestly think I need a break after everything that's happened this month. I've been going and going and only just barely being able to rest. So... I think I've crashed for the weekend. Still, I hope everyone has a very happy new year and can relax this weekend to do nothing at all, because we all need it. Especially after this year. I don't know about anyone else, but I am excited that this year is over. It hasn't been the best, but there have been good moments. So, enjoy the very last day of the year and Happy New Year!

I do want to know something though. How many people thought Lillie would win the sledding competition because I fully expected her to win.

Warnings: None honestly, but I did make up the stuff about a cracked Pokemon Egg so don't accept it as true for the Pokemon World.

Disclaimer: Pokemon would be very different and what I made up would be in the show if I owned Pokemon. Autumn is mine!

-Autumn's P.O.V.-

Since I was still low on energy, I wasn't able to hang out with anyone after school for a while. Instead, I went home and took a two hour nap. Which means, I slept the entire time Rotom was switched with another Rotom and a Mareanie staying at the house for a bit. I was nearly there when Ash went with Lana and Mallow to look for a Pokemon in the forest, but still couldn't stay awake long enough. The good news is that Kiawe was fully healed and sooner than they thought (Ash realized that I used my Aura to do so and lectured me about it when we were alone at the house for over an hour) and was helping out on the farm again, "Autumn," Sophocles was the first to bring up how much I eat first, a few days after school started again, "How come you barely eat anything anymore?"

This would be fun to explain, not! "I just can't handle that much food," I answered, "If I eat more than I do right now, it wouldn't stay in my stomach," I've tried multiple times, but after the fourth time, the Professors and Ash forbade me to eat more than an extra bite after I felt full.

Mallow frowned, "I don't think I'll ever be able to be like that," She admitted, "With all the food I handle, I will admit that I sometimes eat it. It's just so good!"

Lillie nodded, "If you didn't then I don't think your restaurant would be as popular as it is."

Sophocles was drooling, "I really want some of your family's restaurant's food right now!"

Mallow laughed and gave him some of her lunch, "Here, this is a new recipe that I'm thinking of putting on the menu!"

"Please do!" He answered with a full mouth. All of us laughed, but quickly turned to different conversations.

A few days later, we were taking another field trip, but this time to Ula'Ula Island. My coat was a lot like Lillie's, just red and didn't have a shawl on it with thinner fabric. I also had on a red and brown hat with a puffball of the same colors on top with my hair down, red boots and brown leggings. Riolu was hiding inside of my coat since she didn't want to be inside her Pokeball. Sylveon was having a blast though, "It's so cold, but feels so nice!" She jumped all around the place, chasing after the other Pokemon. Oricorio was already in her Pokeball, knowing that she wouldn't like being outside in the cold weather.

I suddenly heard three sneezes and turned to face Kahuna Hala, Professor Kukui and Kiawe, "What do you think you guys are doing?!" I asked when I realized none of them had winter gear on, "You're going to freeze to death!" I grabbed Kiawe and Professor Kukui, "Hala, you should follow us inside so I can get you some winter gear."

Once inside I quickly went to our room in the Pokemon Center and came back with gear for all of them, "Did you bring this just in case?" Professor Kukui asked.

I nodded as I gave each of them their gear, "Yes, I did. Now, go change."

Everyone else came in to see what was going on, "We'll be fine Autumn," Hala tried to argue, "The cold can't penetrate us!"

I glared as the others tried not to laugh at me going into 'full mother mode' as they call it, "If you don't leave to put it on in five seconds I'll do it myself," They looked at each other warily, "One," And they were gone.

No one could hold back their laughter once they ran back to the rooms to change, "Would you really have done it for them?" Sophocles asked.

I shook my head, "No, I would just make sure they stayed locked inside until they changed."

That's when Ash noticed my jacket, "Hey! That's your thin jacket! What happened to your other one?"

"I didn't bring it with me to Alola," I answered, "Besides, if I wore anything thicker then I would die of heat."

"You're not freezing in that?" Mallow asked, shocked as they all realized that I was just wearing a jacket instead of a coat.

"Not at all," I shook my head, "It actually feels a bit warmer than usual, but that's because we're in the Pokemon Center and it has heating."

"I wish it was thicker," Riolu mumbled, still not going into her Pokeball.

"Alright, let's get going," Professor Kukui said as he, Kiawe and Hala came back out.

"Right!" We ran outside to play in the snow more, but I stayed behind a bit to help Riolu. I put a blue and red jacket on her and a blue and red hat on her head that looked exactly like mine.

"Better?" I asked as we went back outside with her on my shoulder.

"Much," She nodded, finally warm.

"Riolu! You look so cute!" Lana cried out, being the first to see her, "Did you make that for her, Autumn?"

"Yep. Riolu wanted to enjoy snow, but I still can't figure out shoes that will work for her," I answered

"So cute!" Lana beamed, but we were soon on our way.

When we stopped for a break we had a quick snack, "We should come here more often," Mallow stated.

Lana smiled, "It feels so nice! But I would rather be near the ocean."

Kiawe just looked depressed, "I don't know how anyone could like this weather. It's freezing."

I smirked and inconspicuously made a snowball, "There are some things that are fun to do in the snow. Like this!" I threw the snowball right at him.

Lana and Mallow laughed as Kiawe looked at me in shock, "Oh, it's on," He quickly made one and threw it at me.

It ended up being a free for all between Lana, Mallow, Kiawe and I until we accidently got a Sneasel angry. Crabrawler was the one to drive it away since it wanted to battle anyway. Once the battle was won and Crabrawler evolved into Crabominable, we then went to check out the sledding competition, "Autumn," Sylveon asked me, "Could we join the competition?"

I smiled as her ribbon feeler wrapped around my wrist, "If you want to, we'll do it!"

Cerah was the one who would be teaching us (apparently she's a famous Pokemon Sledder), "All right," She pointed to a hill, "Look up there! That's where I've been practicing ever since I was a kid!" She started up the hill, "First, we'll try a basic jump."

Ash went right after her, but Pikachu forgot the move. They had a lot of fun though and it looked really fun to just sled without a Pokemon move, "Alright Sylveon, Riolu, you guys ready?" I asked when it was my turn.

Since we weren't doing the moves yet, Riolu and Sylveon agreed to jump with me, "Let's go!" Sylveon was trying to stay still, but wasn't really successful.

Riolu on the other hand, "Why did I agree to this?" Since she didn't know what to expect, she was a bit scared.

I lifted my feet, "Hang on!" I beamed as we started down the hill.

When we landed, we went a bit farther than anticipated and everyone had to move out of the way, "That was an impressive jump," Cerah smiled, "And with two Pokemon."

I smiled and stood up, "That was super fun! Let's go again!"

Sylveon and Riolu both agreed, but we were stopped by Professor Kukui, "You'll have to wait your turn. Right now, Lillie's jumping."

I turned to cheer her on with the others only to see her crash. She was alright, no bruises or anything. Just another fear, sadly. Ash, already at the top, started down the hill with Pikachu using a move this time, "How much can a human body take?" Sophocles asked as we watched Ash crash from being hit with a Thunderbolt.

"Ash has taken a lot. A Thunderbolt isn't going to hurt him too much," I answered as Sylveon pulled me away.

"Are you going to use a move this time?" Mallow asked.

"Yep! Don't know which one though," Riolu hopped onto Kiawe's shoulder as I walked past him, "Take care of Riolu for me!" Then I had to run so Sylveon didn't have to drag me.

"I haven't told you this," She told me as we got on the sled, "But I know Fairy Wind. I was thinking that I could use it for the jump!"

"Great idea!" I beamed as we quickly got into position, "Alright, let's do this!"

We slid down the hill and once we were as high as we were going to be in the air, Sylveon used Fairy Wind to push us even more forward. When we landed, we were much farther from everyone than we intended, "I think I used it too long," Sylveon admitted as we looked around.

I just laughed, "It was super fun though! Come on, I'll walk back while you stay on the sled."

Sylveon nodded and curled up, tired. Until she found something, "What's that?" She hopped off the sled and ran to a little mound in the snow.

I helped her move the snow to reveal an egg that was silver with yellow stripes, "This is a Pokemon Egg!" My eyes widened as I gently picked it up and looked around, "Hello?!" I called out, "Is anyone here?"

Sylveon helped me support it, "No one's been here for a few days except us."

That's when I noticed something, "This egg is cracked!" I crashed to my knees and gently placed the egg back on the ground, getting things out of my bag.

Sylveon picked it up and looked at me curiously, "Is that bad?"

I nodded, "If nothing's done about it before it hatches, then the Pokemon won't live long."

Sylveon looked a second from crying, "What if you do something for it right before it hatches?"

"Then the Pokemon will be weaker than usual, but it'll live a good long life. It can even become as strong as it should be, but it'll have to work hard for it," We went silent after that, concentrating more on helping the egg then anything else, "There," I smiled as the sun started to set, "Now the Pokemon that hatches from this egg will be as healthy as can be!"

"Should we get it to the Pokemon Center?" Sylveon asked.

That's when I noticed how late it was, "We should be getting there. It's getting late," I wrapped my coat around the egg and gently set it next to Sylveon who wrapped her feeler-like ribbons around it to support it more.

When we reached the Pokemon Center, the rest of our group let out a sigh of relief when they saw me, "Autumn!" Ash ran at me and quickly checked for injuries, "Are you hurt? What happened? Where's your coat? Are you cold? Do you need food? Sleep?"

I placed a hand over his mouth to stop his rambling as Kiawe came with Riolu, who jumped onto my shoulder, "I'm fine," I turned and picked up the egg again, "I just found this," I moved my jacket to show the egg, "It was cracked a little so I helped seal it again."

Everyone stared at it in shock, "Was there anyone around when you found it?" Kukui asked.

"No, Sylveon said that it had been there for a few days already."

We walked into the Pokemon Center that was much warmer than outside, "Excuse me," Nurse Joy came up to me, "Where did you find that Egg?"

"It was buried under some snow," I answered, "Why?"

"That Egg that looks exactly like the Egg that was supposed to arrive here a few days ago, but it was lost during a snowstorm. Is there a crack on it?"

"There used to be, but it's all sealed up now. I was scared that it would hatch before I got here so I sealed it up."

"Where was it found?" Kiawe asked.

"Vast Poni Canyon," Nurse Joy answered, "It's mother died before it could hatch and the mothers trainer promised to make sure her baby would be taken care of."

"How did it get cracked?" Lillie asked, "Isn't it really rare for that to happen?"

"It is," Professor Kukui answered, "There have been very few cases of cracked Eggs, but the Pokemon are able to live happy and healthy lives."

"The Egg cracked because of a stray Pokemon Attack," Nurse Joy answered, "The trainer moved to dodge, but their bag was still hit, dropping the Pokemon Egg onto the ground. This was the closest Pokemon Center around so they came here as fast as possible, but there was a snow storm that day."

"So, while they were on their way here," Ash finished, "They lost the Egg in the snow."

Nurse Joy nodded, then turned to me, "Would you mind if I took a look?" She asked, "Just in case?"

"Sure," I smiled, but before I could take one step, it started to glow.

"It's hatching!" Sophocles beamed.

I was blinded for a few seconds before I saw what it was, "Jangmo-o," Roxy chirped, "The Scaly Pokemon. A Dragon type. In battle it will never show it's back to it's enemy and smack their scales against rocks or the ground to frighten them or to contact friends. Ancient warriors liked Jangmo-o for it's valiant disposition and made it one of their own."

Jangmo-o slowly uncurled and yawned, opening its eyes to see me, "Mommy!" She cried out with a beaming smile.

My entire face turned red as it cuddled into my arms more. Riolu looked like she was going to melt with Sylveon at how cute it was, "Autumn, are you alright?" Kiawe asked. I nodded, not able to say anything as Pikachu was a ball of laughter on the floor, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah," I answered, "Jangmo-o just… called me mom."

Lillie, Mallow and Lana all squealed, making Jangmo-o jump at the noise as Ash burst out laughing, "That's so sweet!" Mallow cried out.

Jangmo-o didn't like the noise and buried her face in my arms, "Please, make it stop Mommy!"

"Mallow," I asked, "Could you calm down a bit? Jangmo-o doesn't like the noise," I started petting the scales just to help her calm down.

Mallow's smile never left her face, "I will," She answered in a normal voice.

"Is Jangmo-o my name?" Jangmo-o asked.

"We just saw a Pokemon hatch from an Egg again!" Sophocles freaked out.

Ash, who's laughing calmed down, nodded, "Isn't it awesome?!"

I turned my attention to Jangmo-o, "Is that what you want to be called?"

She frowned, "I don't know. It doesn't seem like me, but it does at the same time."

"That's because your kind are called Jangmo-o," Riolu answered, "The Pokemon who look like you are always called Jangmo-o by humans."

"Autumn will most likely let you choose your own name," Sylveon added, "She's asked all of us what we want to be called."

"Just tell me what you would like me to call you," I finished, "And that will be your name if you'll like."

She thought about it for a moment, then looked at me, Riolu and Sylveon, "What do you think?"

"Mille?" Riolu suggested. Jangmo-o shook her head.

"Maomi?" Sylveon asked. Another no.

"What about Winter?" I asked her.

She just reminded me of it. Instead of the yellow and silver coloring, her scales were more white where they should have been silver and the yellow scales were a light blue instead with her eyes being a piercing blue as well, "Winter?" Jangmo-o tried it out, then beamed, "I like it! Call me Winter please!"

"Have you decided on a name?" Kiawe asked.

Everyone was looking at us and I smiled, holding her up a little, "Everyone, meet Winter."

Soon after, Nurse Joy brought us into the back to give Winter a check up and we all went to sleep, ready for the competition the next day. It was almost my turn when Winter put up a fight, "I don't want you to go!" She cried out, clinging to me, "I don't want to lose you!"

This was the same reason I went with her to her check up and why her mothers trainer agreed to let her stay with me, but those weren't as big a problem as this was, "I promise, we'll be with Autumn soon enough," Riolu tried to coax her off me, "When she lands, we can go see her!"

Winter refused, "No! I want to stay with Mommy! And my big sisters! Daddy should be back soon anyway!"

"Daddy?" Sylveon asked.

"The one with the red streaks in his hair!" Winter answered happily, "It's obvious he and Mommy are together!"

"Winter," I told her, face completely red, "We've only gone on one date. We're not officially together yet."

She tilted her head, "Really?"

"I know," Riolu told her, "I'm shocked it took them this long to admit their feelings to each other."

Kiawe came up to us, "Autumn, it's almost-" He was cut off when Winter crashed into his stomach.

"Winter!" I cried out, quickly grabbing her, "You don't tackle people with your head."

"If you want to," Sylveon demonstrated, "Do it like this," She jumped at Kiawe softly so he was able to catch her.

He just looked at me confused, "What's going on?"

"Just a small teaching moment for Winter," I answered, "Now, Winter, will you stay with Kiawe?"

She nodded, scurrying onto his shoulder, "I'll stay with Daddy when you're not here!"

"I don't think she's going to stop," Riolu warned me.

"She's not," I smiled, but tried to keep the blush off my cheeks.

I didn't succeed since Kiawe felt my face to check, "You don't feel cold. Are you getting a fever?"

"I'm fine," I wasn't going to tell him about that, "Just processing. Tell you when I'm done," I started for the hill with Sylveon, "See you after my jump!" I ran the entire way there.

"Up next is Autumn and Sylveon!" The announcer cried out, "The dancing pair!"

"You ready Sylveon?" I asked, my feet planted on the ground to keep us there.

She nodded, "Let's do this!"

We learned from the first time and didn't use Fairy Wind behind us in the air. Instead, we did a few flips in the air before landing with the wind sparkles falling around us. Plus, she did a Moonblast to gain speed as we went down the hill, "Amazing! A perfect landing after multiple flips in the air!" The announcer cried out.

"Mommy!" Winter came and crashed into me before I could even get off the sled.

Kiawe was running after her, "Sorry, she got away from me."

I smiled, "It's alright," I stood up and quickly moved the sled off the 'track' so they could continue, "She was just excited to see me."

"You also told her that she could be with you again once you landed," Riolu added.

"That too," I turned to face him, "So, did she cause any other trouble?"

"Other than that, she just watched you and didn't let anyone else hold her," Kiawe frowned a bit when Jangmo-o's tail pulled him a bit closer, "Her tail has been wrapped around my wrist the entire time as well."

"You should really tell him," Sylveon told me even as she wrapped her ribbon like feelers around both of our wrists.

"My Pokemon fully support us being together," I told him instead, but he understood their actions after that.

Surprising everyone (since we all thought Lillie would win) Kahuna Hala won the competition.
