A/N

Thank you all so much for all your reviews and support!

I feel like I have no idea where this is going, but I guess I will figure it out eventually!

Hope you enjoy this new chapter! :)

And with that he was off to the laundry room and started to prepare the couch for his friend in need.

"Henry, could you bring me some ice? It hurts…" she whined as she got back from the toilet with some comfortable clothes on while Henry helped her get settled on the couch.

"Sure, I'll be right back." Henry said while making his way to the kitchen.

"I don't know if I will be able to get much sleep tonight. With everything that's happened I'm a little restless. Do you think you could lend me a book to read for a while?" She asked him once he got back with an ice pack and handed it to her.

"We've always had similar taste in books so if you want I could pick one up for you." He smiled, remembering how they used to share books back in college.

"That would be perfect. Do you think you could also lend me your reading glasses? I forgot my glasses at the hotel…" Rochana asked, trying to keep Henry with her for a little bit more time.

Henry got back from the office with a book in hand and a pair of his reading glasses and handed everything to her.

"Get some rest, Ro. Tomorrow, I will drive you back to the hotel." He said while starting to make his way up the stairs and Rochana just looked up and smiled at him.

Once he entered his bedroom, the room was dark and silent so he went directly to the bathroom to get ready for bed. It was quite late now and it pained him that he hadn't had a chance to talk to Elizabeth yet. While getting into bed he tried to snuggle into her but she was curled up in the far end of the bed and he had to settle with touching her back with his hand.

He got up a few hours later, with his wife still sleeping. He tried to get close to her, but her earlier position hadn't changed and observing closely, she seemed tense. Something was still bothering her even in her sleep. He got up slowly, trying not to wake her up so she could rest as much as possible, and made his way downstairs to start making breakfast thinking that will surely do the trick to cheer up his wife.

Reaching the living room, he found Rochana already awake reading the book he left her before going to sleep.

"Good morning, sleepy-head!" she said happily when he saw him descending the stairs.

He needed a few seconds to remember why she was there, that he let her sleep on the couch the night before, and that he offered to drive her back to the hotel.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well? How's your foot?" he asked politely.

"Yes, I did. Thank you so much for insisting that I stay, it was definitely a good idea as it does not hurt anymore." she said grinning while getting up off the couch and following him to the kitchen. "Let me prepare breakfast as a thank you."

He eyed her but didn't say anything further. Instead he reached the coffee machine and started it, thinking that Elizabeth would definitely use a cup. At that moment, Jason started making his way down the stairs.

"Good morning, dad." he said, voice still thick with sleep.

"Morning. Do you want some breakfast? Rochana is making it for us today."

"How's that? Did she spend the night here?" Jason asked, surprised.

"Yes, it was late and I didn't want her to get back alone to the hotel, so she stayed on the couch." Henry clarified.

The conversation could not go on as Stevie entered the kitchen. "Good morning. I'm so tired… Russell Jackson made us pull an all-nighter… I can't understand how mom is able to function after one of these…"

"Good morning baby. I'm glad you're home. Say hi to our guest." Henry asked her while giving her a fatherly hug.

"Oh, sorry… I didn't see you there. I'm Stevie, nice to meet you." She said, turning to her and extending her hand to greet their guest.

"Hi Stevie, nice to meet you too. I'm Rochana. An old friend of your dad." Rochana responded with her sweetest voice, shaking Stevie's hand with a smile on her face.

Henry saw Stevie wince a little during the exchange, but he didn't think more of it. He then set the table and asked everyone to sit and start eating.

Meanwhile upstairs, Elizabeth had woken up and it pained her to find that Henry was not in bed. She was still feeling a little tense but with the new day she ought to feel better soon. She got out of bed, dressed up for work with an outfit that made her feel good (a beautiful grey skirt and blue blouse), did her hair and applied some make up. She took a look of herself in the mirror and after making sure she was ready to start the day, she put on her stilettos.

Before taking the first step down towards the kitchen, the smell of coffee and bacon met her and she instinctively smiled. It was worth waking up alone if she could have her favourites for breakfast, and she was hungry, as she forewent lunch and dinner the previous night. But her happiness lasted until she reached the last step and the image before her eyes hit her like a ton of bricks.

A perfectly happy family having breakfast. Her family, having breakfast, only where she was supposed to be, was Rochana.
