Happy Friday! I'm posting this while under seige (a feral two year old is attacking me) so if something looks REALLY wrong I apologise and despite my best efforts she has succeeded in her attack! I hope you enjoy this chapter. Have a great week!

Monday morning came around much too early for Bella, she was still exhausted from the day before. Happy had been insatiable and she had loved every second of it. However by the ringing of her phone she guessed that the small honeymoon period they'd spent in bed was coming to an end.

"Yeah?" She answered her phone with her back to Happy, hoping she didn't wake him. Tiredly she listened as Gemma spoke on the other end. "Yeah, of course, no problem. I'll be there."

"What was that?" Happy asked in his deep voice as she hung up.

"My morning off is now a morning in. Lowell isn't coming in," Bella said, stretching her arms up and glancing at her alarm clock, she had an hour before she had to be in. Plenty of time for a shower and some decent breakfast before she had to leave. She turned and placed a kiss on his lips with a smile. "Morning, sorry I woke you."

"S'all good Girly. Might as well come in with ya. Wanna speak to Clay," Happy shrugged a muscled arm pillowing his head. He looked so sexy and dangerous and just delicious. She had no idea how she had gotten so lucky with him. He was nothing like her ex, he was truthful to the point of bluntness, didn't want to change her, actually liked who she was and how she dressed. Happy was hard edges and rough, but he was also sweet and kind and gentle, yeah she was really lucky and she knew it. "What?" He asked, his eyes focused on her face.

"Just thinking how lucky I am," Bella admitted feeling a small blush cross her cheeks.

"Don't cha forget it," he chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her over to him. She giggled as she landed pretty much on top of him. His lips attacking her neck and his fingers tracing patterns over her hips.

"If you start this now, I'm going to be late. And I need to shower," Bella laughed as he huffed playfully and smacked her ass.

"Fine, but I'm going in the shower too," he smirked at her getting up and lifting her with him.

Bella couldn't remember ever having a better morning. They showered together, her shrieking as he carried her into the water that hadn't warmed up yet and him laughing his ass off at her as she slid into him as she tried to pull away. They made breakfast together and she threw some blueberries from her pancakes up for him to catch in his mouth. A skill he had told her he had a while back. She did the dishes as he went to get dressed and then he made coffee to go while she was getting ready. It was a perfect morning, blissful, fun, playful. One of those memories that you never wanted to forget for when things went wrong as they undoubtedly would at some point.

They rode to the garage together, her on her dirt bike and him on his Harley. Happy insisted once again that she wore his helmet, not budging at all when she'd tried to argue with him.

Piney, Jax, Tig and Opie were all sat around the picnic benches as they arrived and Bella gave a wave to them.

Happy waited for her by his bike and pressed a kiss to her head as she went to start work, four hours early.

"Hey!" Happy yelled at her across the lot as she went to open up the office. "You're a crazy bitch!" She could see even from far away that his eyes glittered with amusement and it took her a moment to get what he was doing.

"You're poison!" Bella yelled back before walking into the office with a grin.

"Not sure if they're fighting or if that's Happy's twisted version of foreplay," Jax chuckled as Happy walked into the clubhouse and Bella went into the office.

"That's definitely foreplay brother, Happy looked like he was about to smile and everything," Tig grinned.

Bella had been working for an hour when her dad came over and sat in her bay.

"Hey. You okay?" She asked him as she carried on working on the shot transmission of the old Merc she had in her bay.

"Yeah, you?" Her dad asked.

"I'm good yeah," Bella smiled at him as she went to take a drink of water.

"Georgia and me have got to head out to Sacramento, we're picking something up. Can we borrow your truck for it, kid?" Her dad asked, something in his voice slightly off. She wondered if it was club business. If so she wasn't going to ask.

"Yeah of course. It still barely reaches sixty though so it'll take a while to get there," Bella said honestly. She may have to think about getting a new car, but she didn't want to have to give up her truck. It was all she really had left of Charlie. And despite connecting with Quinn and finding more in him then she ever knew could be found in family, she still had the connection and that grief surrounding Charlie, the man who had raised her as his. Or tried anyway. He'd done his best, that she did believe.

"Don't worry about that, we'll have a mini vacation," her dad chuckled, his eyebrows raising suggestively.

"Oh god, I don't need to know. Just air it out and wipe it down after!" Bella said feeling herself blush and her disgust levels topping the charts.

"Fair enough," her dad chuckled again. "You happy kid?"

"Nope, I'm Bella remember? Do we need to get you looked at?" Bella cheeked with a laugh.

"Funny," her dad rolled his eyes but she saw he was trying not to laugh.

"Yeah dad I am. I love it here, I love my job, I love the whole crazy MC family and having you and Georgia," Bella said sincerely, she didn't think she had ever felt this happy or more like she belonged before in her life. That was the beauty of the Sons of Anarchy, those people that didn't fit in anywhere else, that couldn't fit in anywhere else, like her, found kindred spirits, found a family.

"And Happy?"

"Things are really good with him too. He makes me laugh, he's good to me," Bella said softly, smiling as she thought about the weekend they had shared.

"That's real good kid," her dad nodded once. "Hey, there's a bet going on, where did he take ya on your date?"

"What are everyone's guesses?" Bella asked, laughing. That was sure to be interesting.

"Tig thought he'd take you to a boxing match where he was fighting. Jax bet that he took you… erm, to do something violent too," her dad stumbled a bit over that. Bella flashed to Happy's smiley face tattoos and realised what Jax had bet on. "Juice thought he would take you to a cemetery. Clay had him down for a bike ride. Piney said ya would just stay at yours. I thought he'd take ya to a diner or something."

"None of you win," Bella grinned, shaking her head as she bent down back to her car.

"Oh there's more. Just tell me," her dad whined.

"He took me to get something to eat and watch a band. It was pretty amazing," Bella said before frowning at the damn transmission. She was going to need some help. It had been weeks since she'd had to ask for help; this was being a pain in the ass though.

"Goddamit, Georgia," her dad sighed.

"She guessed that?" Bella asked, straightening up again and wiping her hands on a rag.

"Pretty much, yeah. Least she can spend her winnings shopping instead of my cash again," her dad chuckled. "Alright, I'm going to yours to get the keys and the truck, we'll see you in a couple of days?"

"Yeah, I'll see you soon," Bella nodded.

"Love ya kid, ring me if you need anything you hear?" Her dad said seriously.

"Love you too dad. I will," she promised, feeling her eyes water a little. Damn. It didn't matter how many times he and Georgia proved they were there, it still got her when they were.

"Where are we going?" Bella asked as Happy passed her his helmet again and gestured for her to get on the back of his bike. She'd finished work and he had been waiting for her, his saddle bags bulging. She had worried that he was going again but he instead informed her they were doing something.

"Just get on," Happy rasped, not letting her know anything.

"Bossy," Bella said, hitching her leg over his bike and pushing herself up to his back.

"Thought ya liked that," Happy smirked at her as she blushed at his words. She couldn't deny it, she had liked it as he took charge the day before.

"Smart ass," Bella quipped as the bike thundered to life under them. She waved at the guys milling about outside as they took off.

They didn't go far, out to a wooded area not far from the Charming border.

"What are we doing here?" She asked as she got off and took off her helmet.

Happy didn't reply, just took the saddle bags off and flung them over his shoulder as though they weighed nothing. "C'mon on Girly," he said, heading into the woods.

They walked for five minutes or so until they came to a grassy clearing where Happy set the bags down.

Bella watched as he started unpacking things, her eyebrows raised. This hadn't been what she had envisioned, then again Happy wasn't exactly surprising her with his choice of activity either. She waited as he got everything set up.

"First date beers, burgers and rock, second date target practice?" Bella questioned as Happy started pulling an almost alarming amount of weapons out.

"You good with that?" He asked as he unpacked some knives as well.

"Oh yes," Bella grinned. She liked target practice before and she knew she could use some more. After… after she had killed that guy she should have shot in the shoulder… yeah, she could use the practice.

"Fucking Spitfire," he smirked at her his eyes dancing. He looked happy, excited even and it rubbed off.

"What's with the knives?" She asked as he finished unloading the small armory.

"Target practice and teaching ya how to fuck someone up who pulls one on you," Happy said seriously now.

"And is someone likely to pull a knife on me?" Bella asked, slightly alarmed.

"With the trouble you get in Girly? Probably," he said, once more chuckling. She couldn't deny that truth. Vampires, werewolves, motorcycle gangs, gangsters… she didn't have what most people would call a normal, or safe life.

"Oooh, that's pretty, what is it?" Bella asked, pointing at one of the larger guns and hoping she got a chance to use it.

"AK. You want a go? Got a kick to it, more than what you're used to," Happy said, he looked excited to be showing her these things. He probably was.

"Yes!" Bella said.

They spent a few hours going through the guns, her aim getting better and then moved on to the knives. They were a lot harder to aim than guns, she had an awful throwing arm and Happy, eventually with a shake of his head declared her done with them before she killed herself or him. She did do fairly well when he started teaching her how to disarm someone though. His eyes sparkled again as she successfully took the knife from him again and again. On the last go she swore he was actually trying to hold onto it too. He was a good, if not stern teacher.

"That's it Spitfire," he grinned at her as she took the knife he had off of him and threw it towards a tree that it completely missed. Still at least she had disarmed him. "Fuck that's hot."

Before they started packing up he backed her into a tree and showed her just how hot he thought she was. Her shouts of pure ecstasy sent birds flying.

Back at her place Bella whipped up a quick dinner of pasta as Happy showered. She was unable to stop smiling as they shared the somewhat domestic moment after an afternoon of firing guns and playing with knives.

"Spoke to Clay earlier," Happy said in between bites of food that he seemed to devor as though he hadn't eaten in days.

"Yeah?" Bella questioned, she knew he had wanted to speak with him but he hadn't mentioned about what.

"Seeing what the chances are of me patching into Redwood in the new year," he said casually and Bella felt her heart stutter.

"Really?" She asked hopefully, if he was in Charming then he wouldn't be away for months at a time. She wouldn't only have phone calls to tide her through until he could pass through. He nodded in response. "What did Clay say?"

"Said yay. Gotta talk to Quinn and get my transfer papers then it's got to be voted in. Gotta be unanimous though," Happy said and she saw the barest amount of uncertainty in his eyes. He was worried about this.

"They'll all say yes. They all love you," Bella said. The Sons had never had a bad word to say against him, unless they were talking about how terrifying he was. And in the biker world that wasn't a bad attribute to have at all. She was sure that Happy would get into SAMCRO. He had to.

"You want me here?" Happy asked quietly as he pushed his food around with his fork.

"God yes!" Bella blurted out before she felt herself blush. "I mean, yeah, if that's what you want," she tried to save herself but it was too late and Happy was laughing.

"Fucking adorable," he said while shaking his head and picking up his beer.

000000000

"Hap, you got a minute?" Happy looked up from his pad where he was sketching out a new reaper for a brother in Arizona who had reached out, he was chewing on a toothpick as he couldn't smoke while he drew. Quinn was sitting opposite him in the clubhouse and was holding out a beer towards him. Happy nodded, wondering if this was about the transfer he'd yet to speak to his President about.

"Bella's not meeting you here or anything is she?" Quinn asked, making Happy frown, if this was going to be another lecture then he didn't need to hear it. Happy had been staying at Bella's house for the past few days while Quinn was gone, he'd done nothing but take care of her like she took care of him. He didn't want to have to listen to her dad tell him to do the bullshit he already was. He could take care of his Girly.

"Nah, she's out with her friends," Happy grunted. He didn't particularly like the fact she was out with Sweetbutts and Porn Stars but he wasn't about to tell her who to be friends with. She had a mind of her own and if she got on with them, who was he to complain. As long as they didn't drag her into any shit he would be cool with it.

"I need you to draw me up a couple of stencils," Quinn said, making Happy raise an eyebrow. That had not been what he had expected.

"For what?" He asked.

"To go down the side of this," Quinn pulled out his personal phone and pressed a few buttons before showing Happy a couple of pictures. Happy nodded, he loved doing custom work.

"Nice ride, you trading?" Happy asked, it was a cool enough Harley, black as was right, he thought it was a delux though, low riding, normally not something Quinn would go for.

"It's Bells Christmas present," Quinn said with a smile. Happy nodded, yeah he could see her on that, riding by his side with her hair blowing behind her. She would looking fucking sexy. "You'll do it?"

"Yeah," Happy nodded, flicking through his pad where he had a couple of designs already drawn up. "Something along those lines?"

"That's perfect! Man, when did you do that?" Quinn asked, looking awed.

Happy pulled out his own phone and went to show him his latest work. "Here, my Christmas present for the Spitfire. Fed up of loaning her mine," he said, though in honesty he didn't want her without one when he wasn't there to bully her into his. It was a helmet in her size that he had drawn up a phoenix on in a similar style to Quinn's tattoo. This phoenix though, if you looked closely enough, had a smiley face hidden within the design of the tail. His mark that she would be wearing whenever she rode.

"Ha, great minds and all that shit. That's great work man, she'll love it," Quinn said with a short nod.

"You want something to match like that or something different?" Happy asked. A couple of designs he hadn't used but could be customized for the tank of the Harley without too much effort. He could probably do it freehand.

"Nah, match it, a bit of me in there and a bit of you," Quinn nodded again but looked stiffer this time about it. At Happ's raised eyebrow of enquiry Quinn went on, "I see the smiley face."

Happy smirked, if Quinn could see it anyone affiliated with any club would know just who she belonged to. She'd be safe and no-one would dare touch what was his.

"Quinn, I'm thinking about transferring," Happy admitted as he went back to the reaper he had been drawing up.

"Shit," Quinn sighed and dragged a hand down his face. "Yeah, I expected as much. Can't say I'm surprised, can't say I'm happy either. You're a good man to have in this charter Hap."

"Still be there if ya need me," he would always be there for his brothers, always. He just found himself needing roots now. And he'd be closer to his ma and aunt.

"Are you moving in here?" Quinn asked, gesturing to the clubhouse around them. Happy shrugged, he guessed so. He had a decent room here, there was a bar, a pool table. He didn't need much to be happy. However the soft, warm, comfortable bed that he'd woken up on that morning had been the best thing he'd slept on in years. And the woman he'd woke up with in his arms had been the best thing he'd slept next to, ever. Still, it was early yet. They hadn't discussed that shit. He wasn't even sure he was gonna. He figured he could go between the clubhouse and hers. Whatever.

"How the hell you and Bella go together I'll never know," Quinn chuckled. "Talking to you is like getting blood out of a stone, turn her way and she'll talk your ear off about whatever she's doing."

"I listen," Happy smirked. It wasn't entirely true, though he did listen to her. He enjoyed her voice. But he also spoke to her, knowing she listened in return.

"Any idea what this conclave is about tomorrow? Or why you've been asked?" Quinn fished, pulling out a joint and lighting it.

"Think it's to do with Spitfire," Happy said, whatever it was he didn't think it was going to be a good thing. He had an idea but he wasn't sure how he felt about it if he was right.

"Yeah, that was my guess too," Quinn sighed. "She's never going to have normal is she?"

"She would wither with normal," Happy told his friend and his girl's dad. Bella would suffocate without the adrenaline and rush she got from riding or fighting or standing by her family. That fire that burnt in her would die. She wasn't made for normal.

He had realised something when he had been training her this week, a job he particularly enjoyed as he had his body pressed up against hers. He had realized though that she thought she was weak. That she thought her reflexes were slow and that she was clumsy. Two years surrounded by supernatural creatures that shouldn't exist had given her a complex, he would bet they'd give any mere human one. But she had tried to keep up with them, tried to fit in. Because of that Bella had incredibly fast reflexes for a normal person, she also fought with a strength she didn't know she possessed. She also wasn't half as clumsy as she thought she was, sure she did fall on her ass a few times, but most people did when they were learning to protect themselves, it was part of the process. He hoped the fight she had next week would show her just how good she actually was. Though knowing the Spitfire she would think she got lucky or some shit.

"Yeah. I guess you're right," Quinn nodded with a sigh as he passed the joint over to Happy. "I still wonder if I did the right thing sending her here."

"Ya did. She walks with her head up, she's relaxed, at home. These shit heads look out for her," Happy said. He hadn't been so sure about Charming but he'd been wrong.

"Thanks Hap," Quinn said sincerely, clapping a hand on Happy's shoulder. "One thing?"

"Yeah?" Happy replied, passing the joint back.

"You knock her up, I'll kill you," Quinn said before standing up and walking away.

"I'll let ya," Happy said wide eyed as he stared at the paper in front of him.

00000000

"You gonna be at the party when I get there?" Happy asked as she dragged herself from the bed. She felt awful, she should not have gone out with Kat and Lyla the night before. Those girls could party and she could not keep up. Happy was already dressed in his typical jeans and t-shirt, his kutte on.

"Sipping water," Bella nodded then groaned as her head pounded. Happy chuckled at her, a smirk on his face. "Don't say a word."

"Wasn't gonna. Lightweight," Happy snarked without malice, he watched, his eyes darkening as she slowly stripped off the clothes she was wearing the night before that she had slept in so she could shower.

"I'm all too aware of that right now," she smiled.

"There's pills in the kitchen and a bottle of water for ya," Happy said, surprising her. He took care of her. He wasn't a romantic, but knowing him she hadn't expected him to be, he was better though. He showed her he cared with his actions and the fact that he deigned to waste his precious words on her.

"Thank you," she said, stepping forward to give him a hug.

"Girly you come near me like that and I ain't gonna make it to the meeting," Happy said looking her from tip to toe pointedly.

"You got to leave right now?" Bella asked, she might ache but she knew he could make her ache better. She hoped that she could get him to join her in the shower.

"Fuck, girly, you're gonna kill me. Yeah, I gotta go now. When I get back though I'm gonna take ya to my room at the clubhouse, slam you against the wall and fuck you so hard that all of Charming's going to hear you shouting my name," Happy rasped, his eyes black now.

Bella swallowed and felt a now familiar heat between her legs. "Who's killing who now Hap?" She managed to get out her voice shaking a little.

"I'll see ya later Girly," he said with a smirk turning around and walking from her room.

Bella got ready for work in a daze after that. His voice alone, his words, the way he tenderly touched her and how he worked her into a frenzy before he roughly took her. All those thoughts ran through her head as she went into the kitchen and smiled at the pills and water Hap had left out for her, distracting her totally from her headache.

She walked to work that morning clinging to her bottle of water and glad that it was a cooler day. Despite being cool the sun beat down on her meaning that sunglasses were a necessity. Her stomach rolled slightly with each step that she took and she groaned as just before she stepped into the lot an all too familiar and unwelcome police car pulled up beside her.

"Morning Deputy Hale," Bella said politely as she took a sip of her water and went to walk into work.

"Miss Swan," Hale said, his face pulled into a frown. "Have you been drinking?"

"It's not even nine in the morning," Bella said, raising her eyebrows. "And I'm heading into work. No, I haven't been drinking."

"You look worse for wear," Hale prodded, standing in front of her. She stiffened with him so close. She didn't like men she didn't know near her much. And she really didn't like the Deputy anywhere near her at all.

"Just what every girl loves to hear," Bella said sarcastically. "Is there anything that you want as I'm going to be late to work?"

"I know you had something to do with the disappearance of Mathew," Hale said, his voice low and menacing. His eyes narrowed as they bored into hers.

"So that would be a no then. Goodbye Deputy Hale," Bella said, turning on her heel.

Hale reached out and grabbed her arm, making her stumble and stop. Her teeth gritted as her head pounded. She could not hit a cop. She could not hit a cop. She could not hit a cop…

"Let me go!" Bella demanded feeling her hand clench into a fist. "This is harassment! I haven't done a thing! All of this because of what? Because I had a date with a douchebag? Because I work in this particular garage? Whatever it is you need to stop before I put in a complaint!"

"Yo, Princess, is everything okay here?" Bella turned to see Tig and Jax stood watching with folded arms, their faces masks of disapproval.

"I'll be watching you Miss Swan, and if you so much as get a speeding ticket I'll have you in faster than you can blink!" Hale said, dropping her arm and heading back to his car.

"You alright?" Jax as he and Tig came and stood either side of her, arms folded as the three of them watched Hale pull away.

"Just peachy. Is the Chief as big of an asshole?" Bella asked, this had gone on long enough.

"Nah, Unsers a friend. We can reach out to him if you want?" Tig said.

"No, I've got it. Do you think you guys can spare me this morning while I go make a complaint to the Chief?" Bella asked, her hands shaking a little.

Tig and Jax exchanged looks and then nodded as though they'd had a whole conversation between them without a word.

"Tig'll take you. I'll cover for you in the garage darlin'," Jax said with a nod.

"Thanks guys," Bella said sincerely.

"So you look fucked. Was Happy extra rough last night? Because if that's what you like…"

"Tig. Stop. Just. Stop," Bella said with a little laugh following her two friends into Teller-Morrow.
