The room was silent until Chiron spoke up. "From the content of the letter we can tell that two demigods are to be retrieved, that is all the information they gave us, so we have to work with it. It says that they are being held captive at a boarding school in Nevada but not by who but we can presume monsters. If you all leave soon you can make it within a day or two." Chiron spoke

"We probably shouldn't fly anytime soon, I'm not on good terms with Zeus at the moment," Calypso chuckled

"I should probably stay back, someone who knows this country and how to get there should go," Connie admitted.

"Any volunteers?" Chiron asked

I'll go," Clarisse stepped up. " My mom lives in Arizona, so I pretty much know the best way to get there,"

"Then it's decided, Calypso, Steven, and Clarisse will go on this quest. You three make your preparations and leave when ready. The rest of you have free time until your next activity " Chiron said

After Chiron dismissed everyone he pulled us to the side and told us some stuff he witheld form the meeting.

"The kids that you're going to get should be unclaimed for the time being, you may tell them they are demigods but if they don't figure it out who their parents are before you bring them back here then they'll have to wait until their claiming. The satyr assigned to these two is the one requesting help, so you'll meet up with him before heading to the school." Chiron explained extensively

"How do we contact this satyr," I asked

"You're new so I'll show you, follow me. So who do you want to talk to pinky? Clarisse asked me.

I thought about it for a second before answering "Nico,"

"Okay first we need a rainbow," Clarisse started

"I can handle that," Calypso stepped up making a rainbow out of the mist.

"That'll come in handy," Clarisse comments. "First you need anything of value then say this, Oh Iris, goddess of rainbow, please accept my offering, show me, Nico Di Angelo," she chanted

The rainbow image shimmered and showed Nico his back was turned and he wasn't alone.

"Hello?" a young teenage African American girl with cinnamon brown curly hair and golden eyes said.

"Hi I'm Steven, do you know Nico?" I asked her.

She didn't even get a chance to respond before Nico was guiding her out of the frame.

"Hey Steven, what you doing?" Nico asked erratically

"Nothing much, just checking on you. Who's the girl?" I teased

"That's my sister, you weirdo," Nico responded nervously making me chuckle.

"I gotta go now, tell your sister I hope to meet her soon," I said

Nico looked both nervous and irritated and uttered one word "Fine," before the message

"You understand it now pinky?" Clarisse asked me.

"Yep," I answered giddily

We all met up on the beach at noon. Goodbyes were brief but not really cuz apparently people die on quests sometimes. I let Clarisse and Calypso ride on lion's back while I rode in his mane and we took off.

"You do know we're going in the wrong direction right?" Clarisse asked

"Just wait," I exclaimed while Lion was running.

Lion roared opening his portals and led us through.

"What the hell was that? It was so cool," Clarisse shrieked happily

I hopped out of Lion's mane and onto the ground and patted Lion.

"What're you doing we can't be-" Clarisse stopped and looked at the school sign, "Well I guess we are, neat trick Lion," She complimented

"Calypso can you make that rainbow again?" I asked

"Sure," she smiled easily manipulating the mist. "Oh Iris, goddess of rainbows, please accept my offering, show me Gleeson Hedge," I said

We waited a second but the message never showed.

"Something must be blocking the signal," Clarisse suggested

"So do we just wait or go in without him?" I asked

"We probably shouldn't wait, our priority lies in retrieving the two demigods so we should handle it with as much urgency as possible." Calypso said

"So what's the plan?" I asked

"You guys wanna split up or stay together," Clarisse asked

"Split up, we'll cover more ground that way," I answered

"Split up," Calypso agreed

"Ok we'll meet up back here then, if you have to fight then fight but do not fight someone you can't win against , ok?" Clarisse expressed

"Ok," we responded in sync before walking through the doors of the wilderness school.

10 minutes later... I heard ruckus downstairs and followed the source only to fiend that the fight had started without me. There were no monsters there but difficulty level on this mission just went up a lot. Across the room I could hear what the giant fighting Clarisse was saying.

"A child of Ares ehhh, I shall have fun tearing you apart in your fathers place." The giant spoke tightening the grip on

"Yeah, not if I have much to say about it ," Clarisse bellowed

I turned my attention to Calypso who was busy fighting on two fronts blasting the giant back with powerful blasts of air while trying to unlock the cage.

"That same trick will not keep working Titaness, you will have to face me eventually," The female giant spoke

"Almost done," Calypso grunted. The kids inside had a look of relief on their faces.

I'll handle this," I said taking over the burden of fighting the giant allowing Calypso to focus on unlocking the cage.

"I don't believe we've met before, I'm Steven universe, and you are?" I inquired

"Periboia" she answered lowly before slicing at me.

I parried her strike with my shield and used her size against her letting go of my shield and slipping behind her and lifting her heel up just enough to make her fall face first.

I looked behind me and saw that Calypso finally freed the demigods.

"Take them to Lion and wait there!" I ordered Calypso. "Clarisse, you go with them," I also said seeing that even though she fought valiantly and should've won but the giant would not stop getting back up and Clarisse was growing tired.

"Why the hell would I do that?" Clarisse argued

"Because I asked you to," I answered nicely, putting the 4 of them in bubbles and tossing through the glass rooftop opening in Lion's direction.

"Now that we're alone we can have a little fun," I smirked as my gem glowed instantly creating hundreds of basketball sized bubbles floating thorough the gym.

"Time for questions," I announced ecstatically taking a seat.

Both giants looked at me in disgust and attempted to attack me but I snapped my fingers forcing the bubbles to pop with enough to make them lose their balance. That one move caused a chain reaction of the bubbles exploding.

"Oh well, see ya later," I said used that distraction to speed my way to where everyone else was.

"Time to go," I said hurriedly jumping into Lions mane. "Lion take us to Clarisse's mom house,"

"Wait whaaat-" Clarisse started as we took off.
