Hearing about the dragon slayers that have been a live for four-hundred years, Sabertooth offered to help Fairy Tail. They head for a city known as Rose Garden to gather any information that is about dragons. They're also riding in style with Sabertooth's new vehicle: The Tiger Ride.

"This thing is incredible." Simon said as they all enjoyed the ride. "It's moving at great speed, but we're able to move around freely in here."

"Yeah. It's the same as riding on a train, but we don't end up getting sick." Michael said as he was driving.

"You're right, Michael." Nashi said as she came up and stood next to Owen and Michael in the driving seats. "For once, I don't feel sick to my stomach. It's amazing."

"I'm glad you like it." Michael said as he lowered his shades when he looked at her, but Owen reached over and flicked his head.

"Keep your eyes on the road, not the girl." Owen said.

"Thank you, Owen." Athena said.

"Well, someone is certainly enjoying it." Storm said as he pointed to Gale. He managed to open a window and had his head out with him enjoying the breeze against his face. Even had his tongue hanging out.

"This is awesome!" Gale shouted like he was having the time of his life.

"Get your head in here." Sasha said as she pulled him in. "What are you? A dog?" Regardless of how great it felt, this was greatly useful to all of them. The only one that didn't seem to be enjoying it was Shae.

"You okay, Shae? You've been pretty quiet." Drake asked.

"I'm fine." Shae said, but that didn't sound too sincere.

"You know I can hear the truth out of you. You might as well say it." Drake said.

"Drake, maybe you should just leave him alone." Rona said out of concern. Drake just did what she said, but she was worried about Shae herself.

"We're here!" Owen said. All of them took a look and could see Rose Garden. It looked like a city blooming out of a flower.

"Wow... It's beautiful." Nashi said.

"The mayor was contacted about our arrival. There should be someone waiting for us at the east gate to take us to her." Athena said.

"Got it." Michael said as he was pulling in. They headed for the east gate and could see there were a few people waiting for them. "Last stop. Everybody out." All of them were boarding off the Tiger Ride, but Michael spotted that Shae was staying. "Aren't you coming?"

"What's there to see? Just get the info we're looking for, and don't let anyone know I'm here." Shae said. Nashi and Michael found Shae's behavior really strange. It's just not like him to be in a bad mood. As all the others loaded off, they were met with a few guards in silver armor with a man wearing a light green robe with silver shoulder pads. He was tanned, bald, and wore glasses. He also had a strange nose piercing on his right nose connected to an earring.

"Greetings, Fairy Tail and Sabertooth. We are glad that you decided to visit us. My name is Cheng. I'm the trusted advisor to the mayor."

"Thank you for coming out to meet with us." Simon said.

"Is this everyone?" Cheng asked.

"Uh... Yeah. This is everyone." Nashi said as she just respected what Shae wanted.

"Please follow me. The mayor would like to meet all of you." Cheng said. They all followed Cheng and the guards. They all had a look around Rose Garden. The city looked as big and impressive as Crocus. It's hard to imagine why Shae wouldn't want to see any of it. Cheng showed the way to where the mayor was, knowing the dragon slayers motion sickness problem, and took them to a large hall. They stepped inside and could see a bunch of people performing.

"What's going on?" Sasha asked.

"They're rehearsing an interpretive dance." Cheng said.

"Very good. All of you." They all saw a woman supervising the rehearsal. She had wavy hair that was a color called ruby fusion. She wore a green top with moss-green pants and wore silver braces around her arms.

"Mayor Diles, our special visitors are here!" Cheng said and got her to see all of them.

"Oh! That's enough for today, everyone!" The mayor told the dancers and went to her visitors. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm Mayor Sarah Diles. It's a pleasure to have members of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth here." She was glad to meet them, but it quickly turned to curiosity when Cheng whispered something to her. "Young lady, why did you lie and tell Cheng no one else was here?"

"What?! I didn't... I mean... I... How did you know?" Nashi questioned as she felt like she was in trouble.

"I have the ability to see the truth. It's this talent that helped me become the mayor's trusted advisor." Cheng said.

"That's similar to what I can do." Drake said.

"We're sorry. We do have one more friend with us, but he doesn't want to be here for some reason." Michael said. When he made himself known, Sarah had a look at him and the rest of Sabertooth with her being surprised.

"Wait. Michael? Owen? Rona? Athena? I can't believe this!" Sarah said as she seemed so happy to see them, but they were all confused. "Look at all of you! Look how big you've grown!"

"How do you know our names?" Michael said.

"I'm not surprised you don't remember me. You were all pretty young when I last saw you." Sarah said. "Is... Is Shae here?"

"Shae? Yeah. He's the one who stayed back." Nashi said.

"Who are you? How do you know their names?" Nova asked.

"None of you know, do you? I'm Shae's mother." Sarah admitted. All of them couldn't believe it. They have wondered who Shae's mother is and now she's standing right in front of them.

...

Shae

Shae just stared out the window as he looked at the city with dread. He didn't want to be there any longer than he had to.

"Why didn't you tell us your mother was the mayor of Rose Garden?!" Michael said as they all came back. Shae turned to them and was seeing his mother for the first time in a long time.

"Shae..." Sarah said as she was so happy to see her son again. She ran to her son and hugged him, but Shae didn't seem happy to see his mother.

"Hi, Mom." Shae said.

"Look at you. All grown-up and handsome. You look a lot like your father." Sarah said.

"How would you know what Dad looks like since you haven't been to the guild in so long?" Shae said. That made things a little awkward.

"I can't believe she's really Shae's mother." Nashi said. "I guess I have always been curious as to who she was."

"Same. We were told she left the guild when we were about two." Michael said. "We haven't seen her since. I guess I've been curious myself, but I was worried it was a sensitive topic for Shae and his father. I never would have imagined she would be the mayor of this place. Still, Shae doesn't look happy to see his own mother after so long."

"Well, regardless of the reasons, I'm glad you're here." Sarah said. "You have to meet the rest of your family while you're here. I know they would all love to meet you."

"We're here on serious business, not some pleasure trip." Shae said.

"What's the rush? Come now. I'll introduce all of you." Sarah said, but Shae didn't look happy about any of this at all.

...

Center of the City

Sarah took them to the center of Rose Garden. Not only did it act as City Hall, but it also served as her home. She had a large space for her and her family. She started by showing her two boys that were thirteen in a metal space and appeared to be playing a game with them passing a ball back and forth.

"Those two are my youngest. They're the twins, Dan and Stan." Sarah said.

"What are they doing?" Rona asked.

"They've always been eccentric and energetic." Sarah said. "That's how they came up with this game they invented." They had the ball bounce against the wall and floor and tried to get the ball pass the other and into the goal. Dan gave the ball a good serve with it bouncing around and getting in the goal pass Stan.

"Damn it!" Stan said.

"Stan, language!" Sarah said.

"Yeah! Don't be a sore loser as usual!" Dan taunted.

"I'm not beaten yet! We're playing to a hundred! That was only twenty-three!" Stan said with the two of them still playing and the others kept moving. Sarah took them to another part of her yard where they saw a sixteen teen with long black hair working with metal and forming sculptures.

"This is France. He's quite the artist." Sarah said as he worked on one.

"That's quite the apple." Owen said.

"It's not an apple, imbecile." France said. "It's a representation of the world and how it comes down on itself."

"Looks like an apple." Owen whispered and kept moving.

"Your half-brothers seem to be creative." Michael told Shae. "You might get along with France. He appears to be moody like you."

"Shut it." Shae said as he wasn't interested. They all kept going and were met with a girl that was about their age. She had straight blonde hair with her bangs parted away. She wore green dress and wore silver pads on her shoulders and braces around her arms. She was in the middle of reading a book when she spotted.

"This here is Calleen. She's my stepdaughter and the oldest." Sarah said.

"Stepdaughter? She's not your actual daughter?" Sasha questioned.

"No. She was already born when my husband and I got married." Sarah said. "Calleen, meet our guests."

"I know all about who you guys are. You're from Sabertooth and Fairy Tail." Calleen said. "I watched the Grand Magic Games and saw all of you compete."

"How about that. We're famous." Gale said with a laugh. Calleen walked over to him and Gale was seeing hos pretty she really was.

"You're Gale, right?" Calleen said as she held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you." Gale raised his hand and shook it. "I saw you when you took on that guy named Lennis a couple years ago. I thought you looked amazing and it was one of my favorite fights."

"Really?" Gale said as he was starting to blush.

"Somebody's heart is beating." Drake said as some could see what was happening.

"Calleen, there's someone I really want you to meet." Sarah said as she showed Shae. "This is Shae."

"You're Shae?! You're my stepbrother?!" Calleen said as she seemed excited to meet him. "Sarah has told me so much about you. I've always wanted to meet you."

"Yeah... Hi..." Shae said as he didn't seem to care.

"It's great that you're all here." Sarah said. "I know you all must have some work to do, but I insist that you join us for dinner. You can also stay out our place. We have plenty of rooms and cottages for you to sleep in."

"That's awfully nice of you." Nashi said.

"We would love to join." Storm said.

"Excellent. Shae, this can also be a great chance for you to know your siblings." Sarah said. All of them went on ahead and were glad they get to be here, but Shae stayed behind again. He is the only that isn't happy.

"Shae, are you okay?" Rona asked as she noticed something was bothering him.

"I'm fine." Shae claims, but he clearly isn't. Something is bothering him, but what will happen to him if he chooses to keep quiet about it?
