Class-2 criminals
The berets slowly shuffled forward on their bellies "Battalion Halt!" the captain called.
The captain straightened up greeting everyone with a "Heso."
Chopper, Sanji, and Usopp were waiting on the ship.
" Why were they all crawling? "
"I don't know maybe they're freaks.
"Oh, so that's what freaks look like." The crew discussed.
"Luffy never mind them! We have to find Nami." Sanji shouted.
"So you're the ones from the blue sea the eight trespassers. " Mckinley yelled.
"Hey, I've lived here my whole life Mckinley, I know we don't see eye to eye about your ridiculous rules." Link protested. "They haven't done anything wrong. Were you acting on orders?"
The captain nodded his head slightly continuing the charade. The berets were really working for Eneru and could not act directly against him.
"I'm afraid Amazon the inspector at the gate sent us a picture of all eight of you as trespassers. Because you did not pay the entrance fee you now owe ten time the entrance fee in order to become legal tourists." The captain explained. "As for Link here, he has a fee for aiding trespassers. 80 billion Extols would cover it for all of you."
"8 million berries! That's a fortune captain isn't there some way we can do community service or something. I know you serve the vassals, but this is ridiculous." Link exclaimed. To him the captain was being a coward but there was not much he could do.
"By the way the waver is damaged. There's a law against blue sea people damaging property. If its stolen property that's also a class-9 offense." Mckinley continued to ignore the protests.
"Shut up or I'll clobber you!" Luffy yelled.
Just then Sanji spotted Nami coming in with the borrowed waver. "Nami you're Safe!" he yelled with hearts in his eyes.
"Don't argue with them." Nami yelled back thinking the berets were the strangers from the forest.
"But, Nami you're saying we should pay the 80 million berries for trespassing?" Usopp asked.
"Oh-oh" Link barely had time to dodge out of the way as the now enraged girl ran her waver right towards the captain.
"Eighty million berries? Are you crazy?" Nami yelled as she crashed into the captain. "Darn it that outrageous fine made me lose it! Thanks for letting me use your waver mister."
"You're welcome but I'm sorry about all the unpleasantness. "Pagaya said politely.
"Run, everyone! Don't do anything to cross the God. I'll cover you." Link exclaimed putting his hand on his sword.
"Why'd you pick a fight with that guy?" luffy asked scrambling after Nami while keeping an eye on the berets.
"That was an accident just now!" Nami said angrily.
"Hold it, first you verbally abused us, and that attack was clearly a case of obstructing a government from performing his duties. A class-5 criminal offense! In the name of God Eneru I declare you exiled to the clouds!" the captain shouted too mad to be reasoned with.
"This has gone too far exile to the clouds is a death sentence." Link declared glaring at the captain.
"You're dropped ship and all onto an island cloud with no way to escape. There you'll stay until you're nothing but bones. Please run you can't fight them!" Conis explained.
"That explains the ship that fell from the sky. Maybe the crew of that 200-year galleon was exiled to the clouds." Robin thought aloud ignoring the chaos around her.
Usopp gulped as the captain shouted to his men "Arrest them! And hold your tongue young lady or I'll charge you with aiding these criminals."
The men each prepared a bow and arrow aiming at the crew. Zorro unsheathed one of his blades, Luffy raised his fists, and Sanji casually took a breath from his cigarette.
Link drew his sword and got his shield up.
"Milky Arrows." The men yelled as they fired. The arrows trailed clouds as they flew barely missing Nami as Luffy pushed her out of the way, then dodged himself. The berets skated forward on the new roads trying to take a swipe at each person.
"Wow, those shoes of yours are cool!" Luffy said as he grabbed a tree and swung away. Zorro and Link swiftly blocked the blows. Sanj gave a swift kick to one of the men and then went back to smoking casually. Luffy flew into the air and started spinning his arms winding up like a giant top and then exploding with power. "Gum Gum Fire-works." He named the attack. In five seconds, flat all the soldiers were unconscious except for the furious captain.
"How much money do you really have?" Link asked pinching his nose in exasperation.
"50,000 berries we're pretty poor because most of our money goes to feed him." Nami answered pointing at Luffy."
"Hey!" Luffy yelled back.
"They defeated the white berets! I thought blue sea people were supposed to become incapacitated up here." Conis and Pagaya commented.
"The fools! We should've surrendered quietly. They won't be so gentle with you! Your class-2 criminals now make all the fuss you want. But the God's vassals in the upper yard will deal with you!" The captain yelled.
The captain crawled away to regroup with his men muttering about the vassals on the way.
"So, to summarize because the gate keeper said we may pass we are now trespassers? No fair!" Nami exclaimed.
"I'm sure we would've forced our way in anyway knowing Luffy." Usopp replied.
"Shut up!" Nami yelled.
"It's certainly a predicament unfortunately since your criminals there's no way we can help you" Pagaya said as he and Conis backed away to the far side of the beach.
"I'm already in trouble so I'll stick with you guys. Let me warn you to not trust Ganfar he is a coward." Link said bitterly.
"Huh, how come? And it's okay guys we're used to being hunted." Luffy asked.
"Six years ago, when Eneru came." Link explained thinking about what happened.
Six years ago, Links point of view.
It had all happened so quickly on the day Eneru arrived at the Upper Yard. When he declared he was taking over to Ganfar he was in the middle of contemplating more negotiations with the Shandians. "They just want their homeland back but our prosperous life on Skypiea is only possible because we took over Upper Yard." He thought aloud.
Link was there as an official apprentice to the old knight.
"Isn't it our duty to continue the battle to protect that prosperity?" Shura asked. He had insisted on becoming Ganfar's advisor when he was elected to lead. He was always playing devils advocate though when it came to the Shandanians. "We have negotiated for long enough there is no use if they do not accept our mercy." Shura explained. Shura had a pencil thin mustache. He was also wearing light leather armor with a riding cap and goggles to complete the look. His riding roc Fuza was flying overhead. Fuza 's feathers were a dark pink color accentuating his sharp beak capable of blasting fire.
They were interrupted when a soldier burst into the room "Intruders! They're not the Shandians! He calls himself God Eneru!" the soldier yelled.
As soon as he finished Eneru himself appeared in the room with a flash of energy. "Excuse me, I could not help but overhear if you really want to get rid of your pest problem then you'll surrender without a fuss." He announced arrogantly.
Shura immediately bowed and said, "I have an idea we set up a fight in the middle of the town square to humiliate Ganfar in front of everyone allow me to take care of the matter."
Eneru zapped behind Ganfar and whispered a threat into his ear. In surprise Ganfar yelled "Everyone stand down I agree to these terms." He was just in time to stop Link who was ready to fight.
In the town square everyone had gathered to watch the fight between Ganfar and Shura.
They were each ready with a lance and flying on their mounts. "Begin by teaching him a lesson." Eneru smiled.
The men stared at each other for moment before Shura raced to Ganfar who did not even defend himself. He was struck with multiple blows repeatedly, becoming a bloody heap on the ground. In that moment Link's dream of becoming a skyknight, of becoming like Ganfar shattered as he watched.
"No, why don't you fight back? I can't believe I looked up to you." He shouted over the crowd. Link drew his sword and attempted to stab Eneru who was focused on the fight, but the blow did nothing. Eneru just casually sent electricity through Link's sword knocking him out.
"As agreed, I will restrain myself." He smiled at the barely conscious knight.
"My dream of becoming a skyknight was ruined that day, because Ganfar did not fight back. I would rather go with you guys, at least you are doing something against these unfair rules." Link finished his story.
"We each have our own dream I'm going to become King of the pirates; I think we should help steal your dream back!" Luffy slammed his fist into his hands for emphasis.
"Thank you for telling us Link, I think we should get out of here we might cause trouble for Pagaya and Conis." Nami suggested.
The others gathered around Link and offered support in their own way.
"Thinking of leaving the way down to the blue sea is across the vast sea to the cloud's end." Link explained a little embarrassed from all the attention.
"I have a request before we leave can I have some spare parts for our ship?" Usopp asked.
'" I want the rest of the food from before, Sanji get the bento boxes. You guys get the ship ready we're going have an adventure " Luffy said.
"Gah, He seriously wants to get us killed! Those guys are dangerous!" Nami yelled boarding the ship with Zorro, Robin, and Chopper.
"Luffy doesn't care and neither do I. So don't expect me to talk him out of it. It wouldn't' make a difference to him even if we all went on strike. "Zorro replied.
Link was helping Sanji, Usopp, and Luffy gather up supplies at the house. Determined to act on the crew's confidence. He decided to grab some impact dials to try in his invention.
Sanji was carefully arranging the colors in the bento boxes while Usopp was gathering carpenters' tools.
"Hey there's something going on out there! There's a ruckus on the ship!" he had finished with his work and was looking off the balcony.
"Where are they going the ship is sailing backwards!" Luffy yelled.
"Look under the ship that's the special lobster express it's taking them to the trials!" Link said pointing out a giant lobster with the word "God" printed on its forehead.
On the ship Chopper was panicking "It's carrying us away!"
Zorro quickly leaped onto the lobsters back and tried cutting into its hard shell, but it was useless. "Jump overboard I'll stay with the Merry." He calmly said. It wasn't the smartest suggestion because Chopper and Robin were devil fruit users.
"Wait, they've made sure we can't abandon ship." Robin shouted pointing out the giant sea creatures that were following the ship. "They're chasing after us with their mouths open if we jumped, they'd get us for sure!"
"Heaven's punishment. Instead of coming after us, they're bringing us to them. Very clever. "Zorro worked out.
"Then we're going to the forbidden island?" Nami asked scared from her experience.
At the house Usopp was also panicking "Luffy this is bad what'll we do?" he yelled.
"We only have one chance we face the trial." Link exclaimed. "There headed for the sacrificial altar. It's part of Heavens punishment. Criminals either become sacrificial offering or they undergo a challenge. They're hostages. The ones who are being punished are us four."
"I happen to have a map of skypiea in here. We should try to make a plan." Usopp dug into his bag laying out an old map on the table.
"There's only one way find a dial ship and follow the milky road into the river through the forest where the "God's" vassals are. It's teeming with man eating fish. Above them in the upper yard God Eneru awaits." Link explained.
"So, all we have do is clobber the guys Nami told us about, right? Let's go!" Luffy said as everyone else sweat dropped from the dangerous sounding mission.
