Years ago, Elfaude worked for Sapphron for a while. He believed Sapphron saved him when he lost everything, but he learned the truth. When he also learned of Sapphron's true plans, he was in full disagreement with it.
"Sapphron! I know the truth now! I know it was you who destroyed me home! I also learned of what you're planning! You can't be serious with this!" Elfaude called as he confronted Sapphron. "Bringing back the dragons is a grand gesture that could greatly affect the world!"
"It will for the better. The dragons will fly through skies once more. I'll see to it that it happens." Sapphron claimed.
"You can't do that!" Elfaude said. "Magic like that always has some kind of price to pay! A trade of some sorts! To bring back an entire race would require...maybe the lives of every person in Fiore!"
"You don't know that, Elfaude. Even if that is true, it won't matter. The world would be a better place with the dragons than without them." Sapphron said.
"Sapphron, this is just madness!" Elfaude said as he voiced his complete disagreement with the plans.
"That time will come soon, Elfaude. Understand that I won't allow anyone to get in the way." Sapphron said. "That's why I did what I did. You were just a mere child who didn't seem to know anything at the time and that is why I took mercy on you and took you in. Anyone who dare opposes us shall be destroyed. That includes you if you choose to oppose us." Elfaude began to turn against Sapphron. Elfaude was able to escape when he learned the truth, but he knew Sapphron might come for him one day and try to remove him. It seems like the time Sapphron spoke of has come.
...
The Present Day
"Elfaude!" Nashi screamed. Sapphron and Elfaude confronted each other with Elfaude revealing what could really happen if Sapphron's plans come true. Just before anything could be done, Sapphron shot Elfaude. Nashi believed it was the end for him, but she saw him break apart into magic. Sapphron didn't seem surprised, but he did block an attack without looking. The real Elfaude appeared behind Sapphron and tried attacking with his staff, Sapphron was able to block it. "It was just an illusion!"
"Did you really think I would fall for that." Sapphron said. He used the staff and tossed Sapphron as far as he could in the air, but Elfaude was able to regain his balance and was able to fly in the air. "It seems you've learned plenty of tricks since the last time we met. Let's put that to the test." Nashi was surprised when she saw a pair of wings came out of Sapphron's back.
"He can partially transform?! Just how powerful is he?!" Nashi said. Sapphron flew to the air and took this fight up there. He tried striking at Elfaude a few times, but he kept his distance. Elfaude got beneath him and generated a twister from his staff. It blew Sapphron back, but he was able to endure the attack.
"Is that really all you can do, Elfaude?" Sapphron said.
"I've learned a variety of magic to defeat you!" Elfaude claimed as the edge of his staff turned into a whip of light. He lashed it around and tried to strike Sapphron with it.
"You're rather slow, Elfaude." Sapphron taunted.
"Is that so?" Elfaude said. He wasn't going to let Sapphron go so easily as he teleported and appeared closer to him. "How's this?!" He unleashed his full fury as he lashed his whip of light around with Sapphron crossing his arms and tried to block it out. Elfaude did manage to get the whip around Sapphron's leg. When he managed to do that, he pulled down with all his might and managed to cause Sapphron to crash into the ground. He didn't stop there. Elfuade dragged Sapphron against the ground until he was launched back in the air to release him. "I've got you now!" Elfaude formed rays of light and shot them all at Sapphron. Each attack blasted against Sapphron.
"Did he get him?!" Nashi said as she anxiously watched. Elfaude remained where he was as he knew what became of Sapphron. When the smoke cleared away, Sapphron remained in the air and seemed unharmed.
"I knew it would take a lot more than that to finish you." Elfaude said.
"Your magic might have grown, but it's nowhere near a match for me." Sapphron claimed. With Nashi still trapped in Elfaude's barrier, all she could do was stand there and watched. It drove her crazy.
'Because of this stupid barrier, all I can do is watch. Damn it.' Nashi thought. Elfaude knew that Nashi would want to jump in, but he can't have that now.
'Sorry, Nashi. I know you want to join in, but this is a personal matter that I must deal with for the moment.' Elfaude thought.
"Keep your head in the fight." Sapphron warned him as he got another attack ready with blue fireballs around him. "Sapphire Dragon Blazing Barrage!" He launched all the fireballs at him. Elfaude flew around with the fireballs chasing after him. This fight did get the attention of some of the people in Magnolia with all of them wondering what was going on. Elfaude continued to fly around until Sapphron appeared in front of him. He smashed his leg against Elfaude and caused him to plummet to the ground. As everyone cleared away from the area, Sapphron flew down and walked over to the hole Elfaude was left in. As he tried to climb out, he glared right at Sapphron. "Is that really it? You vowed to stop me, but it seems like you still lack the power."
"Is that so?" Elfaude said as he pulled a fast one on Sapphron. He used his magic and caused the ground underneath Sapphron to explode. When that happened, Elfaude flew out of the ground. He aimed his staff where Sapphron was standing and fired a multicolored beam. Sapphron flew off the ground and avoided the attack. Elfaude kept the fight going as he used his staff and formed a mace out of light this time. He swung it around and managed to smash it against Sapphron with him being knocked back. "I have you now!" He claimed as he flew at Sapphron once more.
"Think again!" Sapphron unleashed a torrent of blue flames to stop him, but Elfaude pulled back before those flames hit him. The two of them continued to go at each other and kept attacking each other with magic. Elfaude is capable of holding his own against Sapphron, but that's only how it appears. "You know you can't defeat me, Elfaude. We both know it."
"Do we?" Elfaude said as the two of them separated.
"It's a fact. You said it yourself that only a dragon slayer could defeat the likes of me." Sapphron said. "I'm not even using the full extent of my powers and you still have trouble against me."
Perhaps, but I still have a few tricks up my sleeve." Elfaude said. Sapphron believed this fight was already over, but Elfaude wasn't going to just give up.
"I know I can't defeat you, but I feel like there's something I have to do." Elfaude said. "I owe it to those who suffered because I couldn't do a thing." Elfaude decided to go for the finishing attack as he was building his magic for something. "You are immensely powerful, but even you can't resist this spell." Sapphron readied himself for whatever he was about to do. "Pillars of Confinement!" Elfaude called on all the magic he had as three towering pillars emerged out of the ground and surrounded Sapphron. Then, all three of them were unleashing magic inside the area. Sapphron felt his body being pressed together and restrained his movements.
"What is this?" Sapphron said as he found himself unable to move or really do anything.
"The Pillars of Confinement is a powerful spell, not for hurting, but rather they are used to trap those with in." Elfaude said. "Your magic itself is restricted. As powerful as you are, you can't call on that power to help you." Sapphron tried his best to break out of the magical grip, but he wasn't having any luck. As he struggled to get free, Elfaude focused one final attack as the end of his staff turned into a blade like on a spear with it crackling like electricity.
"It looks like he's got him." Nashi said. "He's putting in a lot of power into that staff of his. It looks like this might be it."
'This probably won't kill him. In fact, it might not.' Elfaude thought as he was getting aware of what he was doing. 'However, this could greatly injured him. If it will aid in his downfall, even if it's just a little, I must take it!' With that, he flew straight at Sapphron with his weapon held out. He's willing to do whatever must be done to bring Sapphron down. He could only hope this will do something. It seemed like it was going to work, but Sapphron didn't even seem the least bit concerned. Suddenly, Nashi felt something from Sapphron.
"That magic... No way..." Nashi said as she felt terrified of what she felt. Just as Elfaude appeared to have made contact, an explosion of yellow and blue light emerged and blinded Nashi and others on what might have happened. Nashi had hoped Elfaude made it out of there, but she noticed the barrier holding her was breaking apart and crumbling away. Not a good sign.
"That is certainly a powerful spell. It restrains a person's movements and make it difficult to call upon their magic, but that only seems to work when you know the full limit of that person's power. Once can certainly break out of their restraints if the one who captured them is not aware of how powerful the captive truly is. Despite all that we've been through, I never shown you the full extent of my power. That is why you failed." That sudden rise of magic that Nashi sensed was Sapphron actually breaking free from Elfaude's hold. Sapphron stopped his attack and burned his staff. "You knew how dangerous I was, and yet you still underestimated me." Sapphron blasted a stream of blue fire through Elfaude. It was no illusion this time. Elfaude failed to do anything to best Sapphron. As he fell out of the air, he felt like he failed his family, himself, and the world.

Storm
When Storm learned the truth of what has been going on between Nashi and Drake, he was just so angry that he just ran out of the guild. However, even he was pulled out of his problems when he felt all the magic that was being used and heard all the fighting that was going on.
"What was that?" Storm questioned. He wondered what just happened, but he's got his own problems to deal with. He heard someone walking up to him. The last thing he wanted was to talk to anyone now, but the one walking towards him was the last person he wanted to see. As Drake appeared to him, years of rivalry and anger towards each other is about to be unleashed.
