Elfaude failed to do anything that could actually aid in Sapphron's defeat. It seems like everything Sapphron did was all in vain now. He was gravely injured and fell to the ground. Once he hit the ground, Nashi hurried to him as fast as she could. She reached him, but his injury looked very severe. Nashi glared right at Sapphron as she couldn't believe what he did.
"How could you?! You took him in, but you have no problem killing him?!" Nashi said.
"Elfuade made his choice. I will do what must be done to obtain my goals." Sapphron said as he flew down and reached the ground. "The fleeting of life holds little value for one who has lived as long as I have. I've watched those I allowed to get close to me perish by time and such. These things...don't hold much affect on you when you see it." Sapphron was a little sadden by this, but he knew something like this bound to happen. "As for you, Nashi Dragneel..." He took a step closer to her, but Nashi knew she had to take Elfaude and flee. She surrounded herself in flames. Elfaude moved through the flames, but saw they were gone. She might have escaped, but he didn't let that bother him either.
...
Nashi
Nashi took Elfaude to the backstreets of Magnolia. She made sure that Sapphron couldn't follow her. However, she was afraid of moving Sapphron too far. There's no way she could get him all the way back to the guild. She took a look at the injury and felt sick to her stomach from seeing it.
'That injury is quite severe. I'm not too sure even Wendy can heal it.' Nashi thought as she had a horrible feeling on what was going to happen. 'Even the inside looks burned. This isn't looking good at all.'
"Nashi..." Elfaude tried speaking. "I greatly underestimated Sapphron. I was...well aware of the danger he holds, but...I was still careless."
"Why didn't you tell us the truth? Why did you keep all of that from us?" Nashi asked.
"I had to gain Fairy Tail's trust." Elfaude claimed. "I also had to see if you and the others were really committed to defeating fellow dragon slayers. Listen... Levy and I were able to find...their hideout. I'm leaving it all in your hands. I just wish...I could pay you...like any client."
"Don't worry about that kind of thing. It doesn't really matter to us." Nashi said.
"It's up...to you and your friends. Protect this world..." Elfaude claimed before his whole body went limp. Nashi was sadden by what she just witnessed. Elfaude is counting on her and her friends, but that might not turn out all that well given the current circumstances with her and two others.
...
Storm and Drake
Storm was furious with what he learned between Nashi and Drake. Drake went after him when Storm took off. They might not get along, but Drake is willing to try and make things right when he feels like he crossed a line.
"Hey, Storm." Drake said as he tried breaking the ice, but Storm just turned away from him. "Look, I get you're upset about this, but Nashi has made her choice. You didn't have to snap at her the way you did." Is he lecturing Storm? Storm felt like he can't be serious with this. "I'm sorry you had to find out like this, but she and I were willing to come out about it today. You can't get her to change her mind since she now wants me. So, either be a man about this, like I am, or continue being a big baby and actually lose Nashi as a friend. I know what you really want." Drake's trying to appeal to Storm by warning him that he'll lose Nashi in more ways than one, but Storm was just getting more and more irritated. He tried attacking Drake when he turned around, but Drake heard it coming and avoided him.
"You are really smug! You know that?!" Storm said with them circling each other. "Women seem to drop at a hat for you. They probably wish you do to them what you do to Nashi. Seems like to me it made you a cocky, arrogant bastard."
"Are you serious?" Drake questioned. "I couldn't careless about that. I've wanted to be with Nashi since we were kids. It's not my fault you failed at yours."
"Don't push it, Drake!" Storm said. "You've been on my nerves before, but this time you really did it!"
"I thought you would be happy that Nashi found a guy that can make her happy." Drake said. "You had your chance, Storm, but you were too much of a wimp to do anything. I came out here to apologize, but forget it if you're going to be like this."
"At least I'm not playing her!" Storm said. "You think you're so cool! I bet you're just playing Nashi's feelings for your own benefit!"
"My feelings for her are genuine! I care about how she feels!" Drake said. "The simple fact is that you've always been jealous of me! Not just because of our feelings for Nashi, but because I'm simply better than you."
"Hahaha. You know something, Drake. That is where I really disagree with you." Storm said as they stopped circling each other. Drake could hear what Storm was thinking and knew what was coming.
"Don't do this, Storm." Drake said as he didn't see much point in this.
"I'm done listening to you." Storm said. Drake could see there was no way he could talk Storm out of this. It would seem there was no other way. He readied himself for whatever Storm would try. This was probably coming for a long time. Storm started with spikes of ice coming at him, but Drake easily moved out of the way. Storm didn't stop there as he jumped over the ice and tried attacking him, but Drake easily dodge it as well.
"You're wasting time, Storm." Drake taunted as he swung his leg around and kicked him back. Storm tried attacking him again, but Drake grabbed his arm and moved it aside with him driving his knee into Storm's gut. He also gave Storm a powerful hit to the face and knocked him to the ground. "Just give it up, Storm. I can hear everything. There's no way you'll be able to hit me."
"Shut up!" Storm shouted. He tried having ice shoot out from under Drake, but Drake jumped in the air and avoided it. With Drake's advance hearing, none of Storm's attacks were working. Drake came down and hit Storm across the face again. He gave Storm a couple more strikes before knocking him against his own ice. When Drake did that, he unleashed a strong sonic boom that knocked Storm through the ice.
"I'm starting to wonder how long you can keep this up." Drake said. "With my ears, I can hear all your movements. All your thoughts, all your muscles contracting, and everything you're going to do. There's no way you can get an edge over me."
"Oh yeah?!" Storm said as he tried tackling him, but Drake stepped to the side. Storm tried staying close as he had ice form around his fists and tried attacking him.
"You think if you stay close, I won't have enough time to dodge." Drake said. "Not a bad idea, but you're too slow compared to me, too."
"I said shut up!" Storm said as he swung his arm around and shot ice out of the ground again, but Drake avoided that as well. Drake used his breath attack and blasted through the ice with Drake getting hit by the attack.
"Had enough?" Drake taunted. Storm wasn't done as he tried to get back up.
"Ice-Make..." Storm was getting ready to attack again, but Drake was faster. Drake smashed a fist full of poison against Storm's face and knocked him back to the ground. Storm tried getting back up, but Drake was thinking this was just getting tedious.
"Face it, Storm. You can't beat me." Drake claimed. Ever since they were kids, these two have always been at each other's throats. There was never a clear winner between them, this goes more than just that. Storm had enough of Drake acting like he was better than him, acting like how that's how it should be, and now he can't stand the fact that Drake seems to be proving it. He can't stand the idea that Nashi seems to want Drake and not him. Storm has just about reached his limit. Drake thought this was over, but Storm surprised him as he came at Drake and actually smashed his fist against Drake's face. "What?" Drake didn't even hear a thing when he attacked like that.
"ARGH!" Storm has completely lost it as he just kept attacking Drake with such rage and anger. The weird part is that Drake isn't able to hear anything.
'I can't hear a thing out of him. Is he that mad?!' Drake thought as he didn't think this would actually happen. Storm let his rage take complete control of him. That wasn't like him.
"Ice-Make: Death Scythe!" Storm kept the attacks going as he slashed ice against Drake and knocked him down. Storm didn't stop there as he race towards Drake. He lifted him back up and attacked Drake again with a piece of fabric from his jacket being ripped right off. Drake tried to get back up, Storm tackled Drake to the ground and held him down as he constantly hit him across the face. Storm wasn't holding anything back and doing that while being angry can be dangerous. Storm was about to take it even further. He held his arm back and had ice encased around it until it formed a gauntlet with blades coming out of it. Storm was tempted to put an end to the rivalry, all the anger, all the detest they had for each other for good. He might have actually did it, but he stared right into Drake's eyes. When he did, he could see his own reflection and began to realize what he was doing. As soon as he realized what he did, what he was about to do, he was horrified of himself.
"No..." Storm said as he got off of Drake and backed away and allowed Drake to get back up. Storm couldn't go through with this anymore. He just turned around and ran off with him ashamed at what he just did and began to hate himself even more than any of this.
"Storm..." Drake did feel awful for what happened, but he didn't get a chance to do anything. A blast of lightning came out of nowhere an electrocuted him. This lightning was just as powerful as Laxus. Drake dropped to the ground and could see Sapphron and Keenan. 'I didn't even hear that attack coming. It came so fast.'
"Looks like we got one." Sapphron said.
"I'm a little confused." Keenan said. "I thought it was a certain girl you were after."
"Not Nashi herself. What I was after was someone from her generation of dragon slayers, which is what this one is from." Sapphron said. "This new generation of dragon slayers has a strange ability to create new dragons. I want to see if we can harness that power. It could be useful to us. This one is coming back with us." Drake didn't like the looks of this as he tried to get out of there.
"Don't worry. This is going to hurt...a lot for a moment." Keenan said as he had electricity running through his hand. When he grabbed Drake, Drake let out a mighty scream. A scream that Storm heard. He looked back and could tell Drake was in trouble.
"Drake..." Storm said. Storm hurried back as fast as he could to help Drake. When he got there, he already saw Sapphron holding Keenan and was flying away with Drake with them. "Drake!" He called as he hurried after them in hopes that he could save him. He tried keeping up with them, but they were flying away too fast and he couldn't catch them. It also didn't help that Storm tripped. By the time he looked back up, they were already long gone. "NNNNOOOOO!" Storm screamed at the top of his lungs. Drake is gone now and he feels like it's all his fault.
