Meanwhile Chopper was remembering the argument over the old knight's whistle. In the end Nami had wrapped it around the mast and forbidden the four strongest crewmates from using it, especially Luffy. Chopper grabbed the whistle to hang on to just in case. He thought the knight was a cool guy despite what Link said.

Suddenly a bird flew in out of nowhere carrying Shura wielding a long lance. With no hesitation Chopper blew the whistle as hard as he could. The man declared "Are you the only sacrificial lamb I can kill?"

A little bit earlier Ganfar was at his home talking with Conis and Pagaya. "Do not worry Enel's Mantra can not sense you here." He said.

Conis sadly plucked at her harp in a despondent way thinking of her fast friends.

"On the blue sea there are a class of people called pirates. They are criminals who sail the sea in search of plunder. These people fly a black flag with a skull onto their mast. In every realm there are those who refuse to play by the rules." Ganfar tried to explain.

"Is their really any difference between us right now?" Conis asked.

To her surprise Ganfar nodded in agreement. "I too made friends with pirates twenty years ago when I was still God. They were a heroic lively bunch I was sad to part with them. Two years later I met my grandson it was the best moment of my life. Ah forgive an old man's rambling for all my efforts I still accomplished nothing."

"There is no need to apologize." Pagaya declared.

"I believe in the legend of the day the sacred yard was born. A beautiful sound rang through the island, it is said that when it rings again the fighting will stop. Not only that but the Goddess will have chosen her champions. I believe in the song of the island with all my heart." Just as Ganfar finished Pierre gave a warning squawk he had heard his whistle far below.

The words of Enel echoed in his ears. "If you dare interfere, I shall kill everyone on this island starting with the boy there. I shall stay my hand until I am finished with my project if you agree now."

To keep the peace and save lives Ganfar had agreed but broken the trust of his apprentice. It was time to take a chance on Link's friends. Ganfar thought as he flew.

It was a good thing that Ganfar arrived when he did. Chopper had managed to keep the Merry from burning by throwing the mast at Shura. He was already bloody and singed from the effort.

"Enough, I'm responsible for this ship. I'm not going to fail at my duty." Chopper promised.

Shura had a pencil thin mustache. He was also wearing light leather armor with a riding cap and goggles to complete the look. His riding roc Fuza was flying overhead. Fuza 's feathers were a dark pink color accentuating his sharp beak capable of blasting fire.

"Your just like my enemies you don't want to die but you injure yourself in a wasted effort. What a spoiled brat I hate people like you." Shura taunted.

Shura charged the doctor barely missing with his lance which hissed with fire against the wood of the deck. "Why are you so weak?" he yelled the flames bursting out. Chopper quickly rushed forward to stamp the fire out.

"For one to live another must die this is the way of the world. As soon as your friends left the altar your life was forfeit. Otherwise, the vassals would have stayed in their own territory the altar is fair game." Shura continued standing on the railing of the Merry proudly. "If one escapes another must pay with death there must sacrifice. Sacrifice is law offer your life to the almighty!" Shura dived forward again stabbing Chopper with his lance the heat burning his shoulder.

For just a moment Shura remembered his house burnt to ashes. The taunting Shandians in the distance "Sacrifice is law offer your life to our ancestors!"

Shura prepared to charge again but Ganfar had finally arrived blocking the blow. Ganfar vividly remembered losing his friend. ""It won't matter to them that this was an accident, no matter what we say. This started the war again and we must be ready."

The two skyknights started to circle each other in the air each with a lance ready. "Yeah, the skyknight came! "Chopper shouted encouragement.

"Ganfar!" Shura sneered as he tried to circle from below, Ganfar did a barreroll to avoid it. Now above the other man he struck from that angle being blocked by Shura reading his moves. Fuza blew fire into the knight's face Pierre barely turning to the side in time. Finally, the men charged each other Ganfar managing to knock Shura off his mount. Fuza caught the man just before he touched the clouds in a sharp twist dive.

Shura tired and angry started a taunt again "Surely you know I will hunt you down like the criminal you are? String Challenge."

Their lances clashed against each other again both men yelling their battle cry with the effort of the battle. Suddenly Ganfar's body felt heavy as was stopped by an invisible force in the middle of the air. Now helpless Shura without hesitation drove his spear into Ganfar's abdomen driving him into the clouds below. Without thinking Chopper dove after him.

Back with Luffy, Sanji, Usopp, and Link all of them were scuffed up from trying to dodge the powerful attack. If they touched one of the balls in line it would explode in chain reaction.

"Usopp help me with this" Link called struggling with his contraption. With a punch Usopp managed to unstick the gear allowing Link to prepare a loaded dial. "Luffy find a way to wrap around him if we immobilize him, he can't dodge."

Luffy stumbled up wiping the dirt and blood from his face and carefully watched the flying dragon. Completely ignoring Sator's taunts.

As the dragon charged again Luffy somehow ran so fast he climbed a tree and flew above everything. He quickly noticed a string connecting all the balls together. Grabbing the string he swung it around toward Satori who shouted in surprise. When he tried to pull the string back Luffy came in closer with the explosion finally managing to make something Satori could not avoid. As the explosion cleared Luffy had wrapped his arms around the man.

"I don't care about your stupid rules about your challenges. But considering that there are a couple of damsels waiting for me to rescue them I accept your challenge. " Sanji calmly said sitting on a ball casually smoking. "I have my own challenge a love challenge. Shut your mouth before the flavors escape." Sanji yelled his final attack whirling around so fast he was a blurred tornado. Link was diving in from behind in a double attack. "Concaseri!" "Rapid Dial shot." Both explosions were finally enough to knock Satori out.

Unknown to them the voice of the Vassal was being listened to by two ladies in the Hidden Cloud village with the Shadanians.
