Nashi and her friends arrived in the mountain range near Crocus in an attempt to bring Sapphron down and rescue Drake. Deciding to split up, they broke into three teams to better their chances. When they did, the enemy attacked in the forms of Linus and Keenan.

"Damn..." Gale said as he hurt his hand from when he tried attacking Linus earlier. Since Linus is steel, Gale's iron isn't strong enough against him.

"They might isn't always right, but most people aren't as strong as steel." Linus taunted. He hit Gale across the face and knocked him into the mountain. "If that's really all you got, you don't stand a chance against me."

"That might be true if he was fighting alone." Linus looked up and saw Simon getting ready to attack. As he requipped into his Heaven's Wheel armor, he unleashed a barrage of swords at Linus, but each sword just bounced off against him since his entire body was encased in steel.

"Are you guys just this stupid? I just said that I'm the Steel Dragon Slayer." Linus said. "You think swords are going to work against me?"

"How about this?" Simon said as he requipped again. "Lightning Emperor Armor!" He twirled his spear around and unleashed lightning at him. Linus did get zapped, but he was able to endure the attack.

"That's a little better, but that lightning is nothing compared to what Keenan can do with it." Linus clamed. Simon tried attacking with his spear directly, but Linus caught it and just tossed Simon to the ground. He was about to attack Simon some more, but Gale tried smashing his club against him. That didn't do much against him either. "Pointless." Linus grabbed a hold of Gale's club and smashed him against the the ground like a hammer.

'Oh man... This guy is one tough customer.' Gale thought. 'I better find a way to break that steel of his or we're in trouble.'

The West

Raio, Sasha, and Nova headed for the west side of the mountains. Not only did they discover some interesting ruins, but Keenan got in their way.

"You're another one of those dragon slayers that have been around for hundreds of years, aren't you?" Sasha said.

"That I am." Keenan said. "You guys must be from that Fairy Tail." He got a good look and feel at the three of them, but Nova was the one that caught his interest the most. "You certainly seem like an interesting one. I can feel you're electrical power, as well as your dragon slayer power. You're just like me."

"I guess so. We both use the same type of magic." Nova said.

"Beautiful, good magic, and a fellow dragon slayer. Something tells me we would make a great pair." Keenan said. "If you decide to side with us, you would be smart too. That's my idea of the whole package."

"Watch it, buddy. She's actually engage to me." Raio said.

"Is that so? What a waste...for her. Sparks would have flown between us." Keenan said. Raio wasn't just going to let him keep talking like that.

"How's this for sparks flying? Scattered Lightning!" Raio unleashed a blast of multiple bolts of lightning. Keenan didn't even try dodging them. He let the attack came, but he appeared unaffected by it all. He just sat there and seemed unamused by it.

"Hello. I just said I'm Thunder Dragon Keenan. Lightning doesn't work on me."

"But it did provide a good opening." He looked down and saw Sasha charging at him. She ran straight up the pillar with twin blades in her hands. She tried attacking him, but he turned himself into lightning and avoided the attack by turning himself into lightning and avoiding her.

"Too slow." Keenan said as he stuck in the air.

"So are you." Nova said as she surprised him by appearing right behind him. She smashed her fist against his face and knocked him into the ground. Nova landed down and stood over him. "Do yourself a favor and just let us through. We don't have to do this. However, if you do choose to stand in our way, we won't be holding anything back."

"Go ahead and try. Let's make this a real lightning show." Keenan said as he wasn't afraid of a fight. He got back up and jumped back as he was ready to fight her. He didn't take account on the other two, but they still tried to fight him. Sasha jumped down and tried attacking him with her swords again, but Keenan moved back and avoided her. She twirled around and tried striking him again, but he kept moving back until he saw her pull out a bazooka and aimed it right at him. She fired a blast of magic, but he turned into lightning and avoided the attack again.

"Cyclone Rampage!" Raio unleashed a powerful blast of wind, but Keenan was able to deflect the attack easily. What he didn't expect was Nova appearing right in front of him from inside the attack. She tried striking him again, but he was able to catch her attack with lightning shooting off of them.

"Not bad, but you'll have to do better than that!" Keenan claimed as he kicked Nova in the gut and knocked her back.

"Lightning Dragon Roar!" Nova used her breath attack while she was knocked back, but Keenan welcomed the attack as he absorbed the electricity.

"Keep all the lightning coming. All you're doing is making me stronger!" Keenan claimed as he absorbed more energy. Sasha and Raio acted fast as they both tried attacking from the sides.

"Triple Tornado Takedown!" Raio attacked with three twisters in a triangular formation while Sasha used her bazooka again. However, Keenan jumped up and avoided the attacks as they clashed into each other. He landed on a different pillar and readied himself for another attack.

"He's pretty fast." Sasha said.

"And he's got some strength." Nova said as she held her gut.

"Are you okay?" Raio asked.

"I've been dealt worse." Nova said.

"I find your teamwork and coordination rather impressive, but you'll need much more than that to defeat the likes of me." Keenan said. "Although, I am a little disappointed, fellow sparky blonde. If you're a dragon slayer, do you really need help?"

"I might be a dragon slayer, but our guild's greatest strength is when we all work together." Nova said, but Keenan didn't seem interested.

"Obviously, you need to see what a real dragon slayer of our element can do." Keenan said.

"Nova's plenty strong. What are you even talking about?" Raio said.

"I think we're about to find out." Sasha said as she was staring at the sky. They all looked up and saw storm clouds were forming over the sky. They almost couldn't believe that Keenan was doing that with his own magic. Keenan held out finger and got an attack ready.

"Thunder Dragon Punish Strike!" With just a wave of his finger, he had lightning strike right down and Sasha was the one who took the attack.

"Sasha!" Nova screamed. Sasha got electrocuted pretty good as she easily dropped to the ground.

"I have been building my power for centuries." Keenan claimed. "Lightning is used as a form of divine or fateful punishment, and I now control that power. Through centuries of misery, anguish, feeling unaccepted, and more is what helped that power grow. Magic is powerful, but nothing beats the real thing; at least that's what I thought. With my power, it's as strong as the natural energy that comes from real lightning. The forces of nature can't really be controlled or contained, but I say I'm an exception. My lightning is as powerful as actual lightning."

'I don't think he's just talking.' Sasha said as she felt that attack. 'I feel my body going numb. It feels like I did get hit by the genuine article.' She tried to move her body and get some feeling back into it, but the slightest movements alerted Keenan. He caused lightning to strike her again and kept her from moving.

"Bastard!" Raio shouted. "She was already down! Why attack her like that?!"

"She was already beginning to move when she should have just stayed down." Keenan said.

"You're an animal." Nova said with much disdain.

"You're just in way over your head." Keenan claimed. "Lightning is one of the fastest forcs of nature. The faster something moves, the more power it holds. You might be a fellow lightning user, but there's no way you can keep up with the likes of me."

"Good thing she's got me to help out!" Raio said as he tried attacking him with a blast of wind again, but Keenan easily avoided his attack as he moved around as lightning and got behind Raio.

"As for you, you should have stayed out of it to live longer." Keenan said. He was going to go straight for the kill, but Nova was able to catch his attack before he could kill Raio.

"What were you saying about me not being able to keep up with you?" Nova said.

"I knew this would be slightly interesting with the likes of you." Keenan said. The two of them suddenly took off. They kept moving from one spot to the next. It was like a constant collision of lightning with the sound of thunder echoing in the air. Keenan tried going for a strike, but Nova avoided him and managed to land a strike on his head and knocked him to the ground.

"You might be like actual lightning, but there's some things about me you should know." Nova said as she landed down. "The guy that you just tried to kill really is my fiancé. That friend of mine you just struck with lightning happens to be one of my bridesmaids. Our date isn't for about another year or so, but I don't want anything to happen that could ruin my special day. That's how we women are." She turned to look at him, but she gave a face her mother would give. Seems like an innocent and genuine smile, but holds an eerie and dark power behind it. "When it comes to our special days, we don't ever allow something to ruin it." Not caring for his power, finding what he just did to be unforgivable, Nova isn't hesitant at all to take this guy down.

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but none of you will be seeing that special day." Keenan said as he got back up and wasn't going to back down himself. Nova knew beating this guy wasn't going to be easy, especially since they use the same kind of magic. However, Nova has one thing that Keenan doesn't.

"Hold on a second, Nova." Raio said as he stepped forward. "As the soon-to-be groom, it's my job to make sure you're at your happiest. If we're going to be a married couple in the future, I need to be able to stand and fight along side you. I've got to admit, I thought you were way out of my league. You got model-like looks, you're an S-class wizard in our guild, and there were times I just thought I wasn't good enough for you."

"Raio..." Nova said as she never knew Raio felt like that.

"I know you said yes when I proposed, but I'm going to stand by you no matter what. I don't care how far behind you I am. Since I have you in my life, I'm never going to let you go." Raio said as he grabbed her hand as a symbol of their unity in marriage and in combat.

"Gag me." Keenan said as he found the sweet moment sickening. "This isn't some sort of marriage counseling. Are you two going to fight or what?"

"Oh, we'll fight." Nova said. She looked back at Sasha as she still wasn't moving. 'Hang in there, Sasha. Just try to hold on.

"Let's go, Nova." Raio said as they stood like the future husband and wife they will be and plan to defeat this enemy together.
