Nova landed a devastating blow against Keenan. Once she was able to summon her own dragon, Raijina, the fight turned in her favor. She landed a powerful attack against with him being knocked out of the ground. Keenan reverted back to a human form as he plummeted out of the sky and crashed into the ground.

"Nova did it!" Sasha said as she was amazed at what just happened. Raijina landed on the ground and Nova jumped off with her hurrying to Sasha and Raio.

"Sasha, how's Raio?!" Nova asked.

"Still unconscious, but I think he'll be okay." Sasha said. "Nova, what you did up there was impressive. What was that last attack you used against him?"

"Nothing too special." Nova said. "All I did was absorb the electricity Keenan was unleashing and converted it into pure magic power. He wouldn't have been able to absorb my attack if I did that."

"Where did you learn to do that?" Sasha questioned.

"Just now..." Nova said as she didn't really think about it. They thought the fight was over, but Keenan still refused to surrender. He had small sparks coming out of him as he tried to move again.

"I refuse to be defeated like this." Keenan claimed as he was getting something else ready. Just before he could really do anything, Raijina acted fast. She stopped him from doing any harm by bringing her teeth down on him and swallowed him whole. Nova and Sasha saw what happened and they were quite shocked.

"Raijina... Did you really just..." Nova said as they didn't think something like that happened.

"I'm sorry if you're displeased." Raijina said. "I could sense that he was preparing a spell that would have caused him to self-destruct. He was willing to go all the way to the end if it meant he could take you with him." That was horrifying thing to see, but at least it appears that the danger has passed. "If there's nothing more, I shall take my leave."

"Wait! How do I summon you again?! Will I ever see you again?" Nova asked.

"Remember the feelings you had here today. I shall await until you call for me again." Raijina said before she broke apart in magic and vanished from this world. Now Nova is able to summon her own dragon. As incredible as it is, there's no time. They still have a lot to do.

Drake

While all of this was going on, Drake was held captive. He was still unconscious, but his arms were tied and were being watched by Cerex. At the same time Sharell walked in and see how the boy was doing.

"Any changes?" Sharell asked.

"No. I don't get it. What do we need this guy for again?" Cerex questioned.

"Sapphron wants to study him and this ability this new generation of dragon slayers holds to summon new dragons." Sharell said.

"But we can't do that unless the guy is awake. Watch this." Cerex said as he lifted Drake up. "Get up! Wake up!" He slapped Drake around in the face, but Drake wasn't moving or doing anything. "This guy is out cold. He won't wake up. How can we study anything when he won't wake up?"

"Is he dead?" Sharell questioned.

"No. He's breathing, he feels warm, and doesn't smell nearly that bad." Cerex said. He just dropped Drake to the ground and was getting annoyed. "Man... The others are having fun and I'm stuck with this guy. Can't even have a conversation with him." Cerex and Sharell turned away from him, but that allowed Drake to open an eye and watch what they do.

Gale and Simon

While Keenan was being dealt with, Simon and Gale were fighting Linus, the one that uses Steel Dragon Slayer Magic. Since his element was steel, he was already stronger than Gale in a way. However, like any other member of Fairy Tail, they didn't give up or backed down from fighting this enemy.

"May the seven stars bring judgement upon you! Grand Chariot!" Simon called for the stars to reign down, but Linus jumped around and avoided each other attacks. Even though steel is stronger than iron, Gale refused to just let this enemy walk all over him.

"Iron Dragon Club!" Gale tried attacking Linus with his club, but Linus took his steel coated fist and smashed it against the club. It caused the club to break and Gale's arm to get hurt. "I need to stop doing that or else I'm going to break my damn arm." Linus intended to break more than just his arm as he kicked Gale right in the face and knocked him away a few good feet.

"Gale!" Simon called as he rushed to his aid and helped him up. "You doing okay?"

"Define okay." Gale said.

"You two certainly are an interesting pair with interesting magic, but it's going to take a lot more than interesting magic to defeat me." Linus claimed as he turned his body back into regular skin. "Especially from you, my fellow dragon slayer. Iron can't break steel."

"Is everyone in your group this obnoxiously arrogant or is it just you?" Gale questioned.

"Easy, Gale. He's just trying to get under your skin." Simon said. "Let me ask you something, Linus. Do you honestly think you're doing the right thing?"

"Excuse me?" Linus questioned.

"This whole plan you and your comrades are trying to pull... Do you really think you're doing the right thing by bringing back the dragons?" Simon said. "If you go through with this, it could lead to the demise of all human life in the country."

"Have you getting that from Elfaude? Sapphron mentioned how he was able to take that pest down." Linus said.

"You might want to heed that warning." Simon said. "What if Elfaude was really on to something? Are you really willing to kill every human in Fiore to bring back the dragons? A drastic change like that could also be detrimental to the world like Elfaude said."

"Are you seriously trying to talk some sense into the bad guy?" Gale complained. "You know that we beat these guys down and they end up learning their lesson the hard way after getting it beaten into them."

"It doesn't matter. No way we're turning back now." Linus said. "You have no idea what we've been through. We've suffered for centuries. For you to understand, you would have to have gone through with what we went through. Besides, there's no proof or any truth to what Elfaude claimed. He could have just been paranoid."

"I don't think Elfaude would have said any of that without there being good reason." Simon said. "We are speaking of a spell that would bring the dead back to life. One of this caliber would surely have great and lasting effects, a sacrifice of some sort must be made."

"Even if that's true, so be it." Linus said as he felt the creeping feeling of misery coming over him. "You haven't seen dragons attack other dragons and slaughter each other when you considered some your friends. You don't know what it feels like to look human, but you're not human on the inside. You also don't know what it feels like to not belong to either side. We're not humans anymore, but we're not truly dragons. We're some kind of freaks! However, we've soon embraced our dragon identities and will live in a world where we might feel accepted."

"Blah, blah, blah." Gale said as he didn't seem interested. "You went through some hard times? Who hasn't?! That's no excuse to kill people and start the countdown to the world's demise."

"I'm not expecting you guys to understand." Linus said.

"That's fine because I don't really care!" Gale said. "We're here to save our friend! You guys can mope and feel despair all you want, but don't ruin everything for everyone else just because you feel bad about yourselves! Just get over it!"

"Insolent fool." Linus said. Gale was already annoyed with Linus and intends to knock his lights out. Gale didn't wait anymore as he kept the fight going and went right at him.

"Gale, wait!" Simon called, but Gale just kept going.

"Try all you like, but your iron can't break my steel." Linus said.

"We'll see about that." Gale said as he jumped in the air. "Iron Dragon Lance: Demon Logs!" Gale unleashed his attack as it rained down at Linus, but Linus was able to block the attack easily.

"Let me show you how it's done." Linus said as he had a spiral form around his arm. "Steel Dragon Spiral!" He jumped in the air and spun around like a drill as he went straight for Gale. Simon helped him out quickly by actually blasting Gale and pushed him out of the way.

"Thanks for the push, Simon! Even if that did hurt." Gale said. Gale and Linus landed down and faced each other for their next attacks. "You think my iron isn't all that tough? Try this!" Gale had magic form around his entire body and made himself stronger. He landed a strike on Linus. Linus was able to block it, but he was pushed back. Linus took a good look at Gale and could see why.

"Dragon Force? That's better, but even that won't help you." Linus claimed.

"Let's see if you're still saying that after I cut you right down the middle!" Gale said as he raised his arm. "Iron Dragon Sword!" His sword began to rivet and tried attacking Linus with it, but Linus formed a sword of his own with it looking like a double-edge sword. He held it it against Gale's and even managed to stop it from running.

"Steel Dragon Sword." Gale tried to push down, but Linus was able to push Gale's sword out of the way and kicked him back. Gale kept trying to attack and the two of them fought each other like that. It was steel vs. iron, but it was difficult to tell which one was really the stronger one.

"Hang on, Gale." Simon said as he was ready to jump in.

"Simon!" Simon turned around and saw surprised to see his mother actually showed up.

"Mom? When did you get here?" Simon said.

"Just now. The rest of the guild made it to Crocus and got ready for the worst." Erza said. "A few of us came out here to see if we could help out." She looked to the fight and saw Gale fighting against Linus. "What can you tell me about this one?"

"This one is one those dragon slayers. His attribute is steel, an element that's stronger than Gale's iron." Simon said. "He appears to be having a hard time." Linus and Gale continued to fight each other until they separated from each other. When they did, Linus looked to where Simon and Erza were standing. As soon as eyes landed on Erza, something came over him. Rage and anger began to fill his body. So much was building that he actually breathed heavily. Just seeing Erza, seeing her face has caused such rage inside Linus.

"You!" Linus shouted and got their attention. He completely ignored Gale and ran straight towards the pair. More specifically, he was running straight to Erza. "Get ready to die!"
