"Kaboom hehe best project idea ever, right." Rocket said makijg explosion sound effects unaware of crutacking loud he was being, seeing Mantis makijg her signal of turning the volume down, understanding his excitement and for once he wasn't grumpy they had to make volcanoes but in their friendship groups.
The class had been learning about volcanoes and everybody was enjoying it, especially Rocket as volcanoes made messy liquid explosions, his kind of science making Groot giggle at his best friend, noticing he was feeling better even if he was still wary of classmates besides him, Drax, Gamora and Peter, even Mantis was growing on him, he still was teaching her about personal space like when he gave her the paste, she'd squeezed his paw saying it was soft which had made him sigh then explained to Mantis about personal space like Ms Sif was teaching them.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." he heard Groot say.
"Ohhhh yeah, kaboom go get the slime tubs." he whispered.
"Are you planning a prank, why ask Groot to get the slime." Mantis asked.
"Well you made the volcano sparkly and smiley faced, now I get to addmy touch, and it'll be a real volcano." he said grinning making Mantis guess it was fair, only wondering how he was goijg to do it seeing him reveal a cherry bomb and his lighter.
"It's slime, it'll come off like finger paint." Rocket assured her lighting the fuse as Sif was coming around making her and the class jump, as Mantis and Rocket's volcano erupted shooting rainbow slime everywhere, blasting everybody including Peter making Rocket laugh and laugh hysterically surprising the other kids by him laughing.
"Very realistic and creative you two, well done." Sif said.
"Ewww Mantis control him, he'll wreck the classroom" Peter said.
"Peter it's just slime, it comes off, besides look at Rocket, he looks so happy for once." Gamora told Peter goijg to get cleaned up like the other kids, hearing the recess bell it was time to go outside and play stampeding into the playground only Mantis wondered where Rocket was, seeing him cleaning up the colourful mess their project had caused leaving him be, noticing an new kid in a Spidey outfit, only it was white andcolourful makijg Drax remember Ms Sif saying an new kid was joining the class, makijg the young Guardians exchange a look, Rocket's good mood would be popped when they went inside.
"I'll warn him just in case, hemight hide in his locker again." Mantis told them seeing Groot understand hearing the bell meaning it was time to go inside, so Groot went ahead to warn Rocket about Gwen before something happened, or the new kid calledhim a raccoon or something.
"Class, this is our new student, Gwen Stacey, please make her feel welcome plus we have to put her in a friendship group." Ms Sif told the class.
"Not us, please not us." Rocket muttered softly, as Groot rubbed behind his furry ear to calm him only Mantis face-palmed hearing Gwen was joining them, noticing Rocket quiet understanding goijg to his locker slamming the door, makijg Mantis sigh, she knew this would happen making Gwen confused, hearing sniffles from Rocket's locker.
"I'm Mantis, that's Groot and the furry boy was Rocket, his best friend, he's super shy." she told Gwen seeing Groot go check on Rocket, knowing how he was feeling knocking on his friends's locker door, seeing it open, noticing his stress ball wasin his paw but he saw a small smile on Rocket's face.
"Jackie La Route the tech designer I love is hosting a livestream, it's helping with the intruder, let'sgo play robot battle." he said seeing Groot follow unaware Gwen was watching making the Guardians understand, so would explain at lunch since Rocket sat by himself at hisown table.
"We should get Rocket to sit with us, he is your friend,I guess." Gwen said while sitting with the Guardians at lunch noticing Rocket was by himself of sorts.
"We're more siblings from other planets, only he doesn't tell us much about himself, just his name and that Groot is his best friend, wait a second, he hasthe robot dolls from class." Peter said makijg Gamora guess Rocket had just forgotten to put them back.
"Gamora, he takes toys so he can take them apart, remember." Peter replied.
He marched over to Rocket's table makijg Drax, Gamora and Groot nervous seeing him grab Rocket's toolbag out ofhis paw, making Rocket annoyed.
"Come on Quill, give it back as Ms Sif said I could fix them." Rocket told him.
"Awww is the raccoon gonna cry." Peter mocked throwing the toolbag outside, as the male kit went after not realising a storm was coming and inside recess was happening and the outside doors to the cafetariahadjust locked, leaving Rocket outside in the pouring rain finding his toolbag covered in mud, hugging it gently
He then ran to the porch area near the outside cafetaria doors, as it would be dry listening to the rain hit the roof but then soundsof kabooms overhead made him curious seeing thunder delighting his ears guessing this could be fun.
