Magic certainly is something that grows and is filled with limitless possibilities. Cerex has shown that when he enters a form that is stronger than Dragon Force. When Storm and Drake confronted him, they seemed to have had the upper hand. From Storm's demon slayer power as well Drake's dual element power, Cerex struggled against them. That was when he decided to pull out his ace in the hole. His new form has covered the area in ice with Drake and Storm astonished at what he just pulled.
"Dragon Supremacy?" Storm questioned. "What is that? Is it like what Nashi can do, and what Ankhselam did?"
"No." Drake believed. "That form Nashi takes is more from her etherious blood. Ankhselam had a power similar to it by absorbing some of Acnologia's power. It's different from either of those two. A power that goes beyond Dragon Force? I thought Dragon Force was the final form of our type of magic."
"It was, but that was because people didn't know about this form." Cerex said. "Dragon Supremacy is a power that Sapphron himself created. It can only be acquired by those like us. Only those who were turned into dragons, who can also turn into a human form, can obtain this form. Even Acnologia was unable to do something like this!" The two of them never have seen something like this. From the power they felt, they could tell this magic was nothing to laugh at.
"I don't think this guy is all talk." Storm said.
"You're right. It's like this guy took Dragon Force and went to the next level." Drake said.
"I guess you could say this form is a combination between our dragon form and our human form." Cerex said. "There's a limitation as to what we can do in both forms, but Dragon Supremacy combines the two forms and the power and abilities are limitless!" Wanting to prove how true all that was, Cerex went on the attack. He flew straight at the two of them and was at incredible speed. He was able to land a strike against Drake and sent him flying and crashing into some rocks.
"Drake!" Storm called as he couldn't believe Drake was sent flying like that. With Drake's hearing, something like that shouldn't have happened. He knew he had to do something. "Ice-Make: Cold Excalibur!" Storm formed a massive sword of ice and tried smashing it against him. However, the sword completely shattered when it smashed against Cerex. It didn't leave even a scratch on him.
"Excalibur... A legendary weapon wielded by a mighty king. Perhaps that would work on a regular dragon, but a cheap copy can't work on something that surpasses a dragon." Cerex went at Storm and knocked him down when he tackled him. Storm got hit hard, but he still tried to get back up.
"This guy must love talking. He doesn't shut up." Storm complained. He was about to stand back up, but he felt his hand against the ice and got an idea that he couldn't stop himself from smirking.
"What are you smiling about?" Cerex questioned.
"Ice can't work on you, but I do know another weakness you dragon slayers have." Storm said. "Have you ever thought that your own power would be used against you?"
"Say what?" Cerex questioned. Storm showed him by placing his hand on the ground and aimed his other right at Cerex. Storm began to channel the residual magic in the ice and had it flow through his whole body. When Cerex saw that, he was able to tell what Storm was doing.
"Have a taste of your own medicine!" Storm shouted as he fired a powerful cold beam. Cerex tried his best to block the attack with Storm thinking he had him. However, Cerex was able to push the attack aside. That didn't go the way Storm thought.
"That was actually pretty smart. It's true that dragon slayers can't devour the elements we forged ourselves." Cerex claimed. "That would be like trying to eat our own hands. However, you're going to need more power than that!" Cerex flew straight at Storm and stomped down him. Storm had a good idea, but it wasn't enough.
"That does it! Now you're really going down!" Drake called as he shot out all the poison he could, but Cerex flew around and not a single bit of poison hit him. He flew around until he appeared right next to Drake. He kicked Drake in the back and sent him flying into the air. 'He's so fast! I can't keep up!' He thought as he could see what usually gives him the advantage isn't going to help him in close combat. As he soared through the air, Cerex appeared next to him and kicked him back to the ground.
"You haven't seen anything yet." Cerex claimed as he raised his hand and formed ice spikes in the air. He had them all drop down like giant pieces of hail, but the two of them were able to recover and move fast as they crashed down. Seeing how much he could create and how powerful it all was, they were all baffled by how strong he was. Still, it didn't deter them from wanting to beat this guy. There was too much on the line if they fall to him.
"That all you got?!" Storm said.
"Did you have to ask?" Drake said. Cerex took Storm's challenge as he readied another attack. "You might want to take cover!" Drake moved fast as he ducked behind a pillar.
"Ice Dragon Hail!" Cerex used his attack, but it was more powerful. It was like an actual hailstorm as it all came down. Storm acted fast and formed a dome of ice around himself, but the hail pounded against it like bullets and it was starting to break.
"My maker magic can't even hold against this guy. Just how powerful can these guys get?!" Storm questioned as he tried his best to resist the attack. Cerex himself flew at Storm and shattered whatever was left of Storm's defense.
"You're ice is like fragile glass compared to mine!" Cerex claimed. He spun his tail around and smashed it against Storm's back. Storm was blown across the cavern with him grazing the ground. Cerex didn't let him off the hook so easily as he caught up to him and stomped down right on Storm's back. Storm just couldn't hold back painful yell from that. "The power and characteristics of a dragon in a human form. When learning Dragon Slayer Magic, one does gain something like that. This form is the true essence of that kind of power! The full capabilities of a dragon can fully be unleashed in a human form! How can you hope to defeat something like that?! Especially since you don't have that kind of magic and use the same element I can use!"
"Hey!" Drake called and got his attention. He used his roar, but Cerex flew off and Drake couldn't get a clear hit in. Cerex flew around until he got next to Drake and grabbed a hold of him. He tossed Drake into the air chased after him.
"Aren't you going to summon a dragon?" Cerex taunted when he was close enough to Drake and used his tail to smash against him to knock Drake back to the ground. Both boys had trouble getting back up. Cerex seems to have them overwhelmed.
"Damn this guy." Drake complained.
"Your generation has the ability to summon dragons, brand new dragons outside of existence." Cerex said. "That's why Sapphron kidnapped you in the first place. He had hoped using that kind of power would be great benefit to us. Aren't you going to summon one to help?" That would be a big problem since Drake doesn't know how to do that. "It wouldn't matter if you did. It would die within the first few minutes of its life. Do you see how powerless you were against us this whole time?"
"Get over yourself." Storm said as he tried to stand, but struggled after the impact Cerex left on his back. "You're incredibly powerful. We get it. That doesn't mean you're invincible. Who cares if you got dragon powers?"
"You said it. We'll find some way to beat you." Drake said. "Just need a moment to catch our breaths." Their persistence was getting on Cerex's nerves. They weren't just sounding tough. Cerex could see they still had strong conviction in their eyes.
"Still think you can win?! That spirit to never give up is really getting annoying!" Cerex shouted. Despite that, Storm was trying his best not to give in.
'I know I can beat this guy.' Storm thought as he thought about that last attack he used. 'That attack I used before worked on him. I can use his own ice against him. He can't stop his own ice. I just need something more powerful than what I had earlier.'
"I think it's time I show you how powerless you were the whole time!" Cerex claimed as he was going big. "Suffer in despair as you pass to the afterlife!" Suddenly, the sunlight was being blocked.
"You've got to be kidding me." Drake complained as he and Storm looked up. Cerex was generating so much power that dark clouds began to spiral in the sky as much of the sky was covered. His power was actually changing the weather. It could even be seen in Crocus.
"An advance spell combined with Dragon Supremacy has it reach exponential levels! Watch as an icy cold punishment from the heavens comes crashing down!" Cerex shouted as he shot bolts of magic from his hands into the clouds. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art! Subzero Submission!" Cerex was using his most powerful spell. Storm and Drake were shocked to the cores when they saw a giant rock of ice was emerging out of the clouds. It was as large as an asteroid and that size could be catastrophic upon impact. Something that massive could even bee seen in Crocus with those who could see it getting scared on what it might be.
'He's lost his mind! If that hits, it could kill his friends with us! It will take out the whole mountain!' Drake thought. 'I know Crocus is near this mountain! The impact could even reach Crocus and kill the people there! This guy is completely insane!' Not caring for anything else, caught up in the battle, Cerex sets his sights to end things right now. Despite the massive ice meteor about to crash down, Storm refused to surrender and give in like any Fairy Tail wizard.
"I won't let it end like this!" Storm said as he tried pushing himself off the ground.
"What do you think you can do now?! All that is left is for that to land down!" Cerex shouted.
"I can still move." Storm said as he was able to lift his arm. "If I can move, I can fight!" He smashed his hand to the ground and held on tight as he formed a thin spire of ice and shot straight into the sky. He went straight for the ice in hopes of stopping it.
"Storm, what are you doing?!" Drake called.
"What any Fairy Tail wizard would do; something crazy!" Storm said.
"There's nothing you can do!" Cerex shouted.
"Let's find out! Our guild is known for making the impossible possible!" Storm claimed as he kept going and bravely charged at the massive piece of ice. Storm seems to be making the ultimate sacrifice, but what exactly can he do?
