"Let's go try out the sled I made, we should go fast." Rocket told Groot, as he grabbed the sled he had made with Groot's help outof scraps.
It was the holidays at SHIELD Elementary and the students were excited about things and it was a few days after the holiday pageant which Ms Sif's pre-school class had been part of, and Groot had been the holiday tree only he noticed the past few days, his furry best pal was acting strange unaware he was feeling homesick, plus Ranger had been bragging about going home for the holidays, which made Rocket quiet but the sled was distracting him, as they left their room.
Mantis and the others could sense something bothered the male kit, he just didn't want to tell guessing it was to do with the holidays seeing Groot wearing a beanie hat and scarf along with Rocket, seeing their sled impressing Drax knowing they were going to ride it down the biggest hill, hearing Rocket excited as they climbed up the hill makijg Groot anxious just in case his best friend got hurt, despite Rocket assuring him they would be fine getting on, rocketing down the snowy hill giggling which surprised their friends being covered in snow seeing Rocket get up, shaking snow off his furry head.
He noticed Groot looking concerned for him, hearing him whimper involving his arm despite being brave makijg the sapling worry for him, making their friends wonder, if everything was alright with them.
"I am groot, I am groot." Groot told them makijg Mantis guess something was wrong with Rocket seeing the sapling nod, seeing Ranger throwing snowballs at kids, wondering where his brother was, making Drax, Gamora, Groot, Mantis and Peter glare at him.
"Rocket everything alright, what's up with your arm, was it because of the sledding earlier." Drax asked him.

"Whatever, he's probably Jealous I get to go home for the holidays." Ranger boasted.

They went to Groot and Rocket's room seeing him packing, worrying in case he was running away makijg him laugh hysterically explaining his mom had told him he was coming home for the holidays making them happy for him knowing Ranger would be annoyed by this news.
Rocket was feeling Happier being on Half-world going to his family's apartment seeing holiday decorations including familiar smells of home cooking making him walk into the kitchen seeing his mom in an apron baking seeing his sister, Riley helping happy seeing him there but frowned seeing Ranger which Rocket understood.
"Hey guys, it's good you're home as the holidays wouldn't be the same without you guys plus later, we should decorate the tree which I picked out." their mom told them which they understood.
"Yep, plus school was awesome, doing some sledding the other day." Rocket told her
Roxy smiled at her youngest kit, guessing he was having fun at school but noticing his arm making her momma raccoon instincts come out asking him what happened hearing Rocket tell her that he had tested Out an new sled impressing Riley seeing her getting the first aid kit tending to him despite his protesting knowing his mom was stubborn like them.
