"I am groot, I am Groot." Rocket heard Groot ask.
He was a tad distracted as he had just returned to school afterthe holidays but discovered his first loose fang making him excited as his mom had explained how a big deal this was and that the Fang Collector would bring him treasure when it came out which he was very excited about, unaware of his friend talking to him seeing Mantis walk in dressed like she had went to a tea party seeing Groot sigh guessing she wanted Rocket to play with her, knowing this was ruining the personal space for Rocket.
"Ummm hi, can we help you with somethijg." Rocket asked confused.
Mantis was surprised by his tone as it was soft compared to his normal tone when others bothered him in class like Ranger at recess, guessing he was working on his tone noticing he was touching his mouth with his tongue wondering what he was doing.
"I have my first loose fang, and trying to get it to come out." he told her.
"Awww that's great, only you should be patient, but I get it." she told him seeing Groot agree with him and saw him yawn because he'd just gotten back from Half-world knowing Ranger was probably still mad at him, after what had happened on New Year's Eve makijg Groot and Mantis curious, he told good stories.
"I kimda burnt some of his tail by mistake, with a sparkler as we were swordfighting with them, then Ranger got upset but I didn'tmean it, even mom said it was an accident but Ranger was livid." he told them.
"Ohhh but it was an accident, even your mom knew that." Mantis told him.
Gamora walked in, shaking her head at the female empath youngster being in Groot and Rocket's room without asking him, if it was okay eventhough Rocket seemed okay with her being in his and Groot's room and had been telling her a story.
"Did hou really want her in your room." Gamora whispered.
"She walked in, even though I just got back after the holidays, I couldn't just kick her out." Rocket told her.
That made her smile at this, knowing Ms Sif had taught them to be kind to each other, in class guessing he was practicing encouraging Mantis that she should give Rocket space as he had just gotten back.
"Okay but we can have fun in class." Mantis replied as she left.
But seeing a blonde-furred female raccoon in his armour which confused him, hearing her say her name was Rocket-Gwen stunning him seeing her joining Ranger's grade making him sigh, hoping she wouldn't join him in his antics, seeing her scamper off making him shake his furry head in reply closing the door in case anybody else walked in.
"Whoa who's that, she's adorable and awesome but looks like a furry Gwen." Mantis said the next day at recess
Rocket gulped seeing Mantis leave their playground, making him anxious as he and Groot went after her hoping the big kids would not smoosh her, he would hate for that to happen seeing Groot point to where Ranger and his friends including Rocket-Gwen or whatever she was callijg herself seeing Mantis there talking to the blond-furred girl.
"Umm sorry if she was bothering you, we're just gonna go-" Rocket said as a baseball hit him in the face seeing Ranger had pitched it, making him growl at that despite Groot trying to calm him lunging at Ranger fighting, stunning Mantis but the big kids were impressed just as the adults broke it up seeing Ranger hiss at Rocket as they were going inside, knowing the whole school would find out about this.
"This is all my fault, if I hadn't left our yard, he would not have followed me." Mantis said feelijg Rocket-Gwen hug her as she thought she was cool seeing Rocket coming out of the office quiet wondering if he was mad at her seeing Ranger stomping out of there.
"Move aside Bug Girl." he said pushing her.
