"Holy crutack L-Lylla what're you doing here." Rocket said excitedly to a female otter cub his age wearing purple armour with knuckledusters on her paws makijg Groot grin, he knew she was Rocket's soilmate wondering what she was doing here.
"The Ravagers figured that I should come here, but it's awesome you're here, Rockie along with Groot." Lylla told him seeing Mantis frown, she sensed badness from her and wanted to lrotect Rocket seeing Drax hug her, as Gamora told her that Lylla was important to Rocket.
"We have an new memberin our class, Lylla and hope everybody makes her feel welcome." Sif told the class however Lylla liked being called Scruff which Rocket got relieving her, her parents whom she'd ran away from called her that but she loved being Scruff.
"Her room is down the hall from yours, so guess you'll be hanging out a lot." Gamora told Rocket during circle time seeing him nod, noticing their classmates whispering about Lylla as she was quiet during this among other things but had painted the galaxy at art time which had impressed Sif.
"I guess you're shy just like Rocket, but you'll flourish here in no time, just give us a chance." Sif told her until she noticed the knuckledusters on Lylla's paws guessing what she used them for makijg Rocket gulp.
"We don't have these kinds of things at school, I didn't notice you wore them until now." she told Lylla making the female otter cub sniffle, feelijg Rocket squeeze her paw gently saying he could get her knuckledusters back, stunning her.
"I just need Groot to help." he told her seeing her nod.
Lylla was curious seeing Rocket whispering to his treelike friend, making him nodding creating a distraction so he snuck to Ms Sif's desk, openingthe drawer finding Lylla's knuckledusters pocketing them, closing the drawer softly winking atGroot stopping his antics making Lylla wonder, until she saw he had gotten her knuckledusters back.
"Thanks, I'll keep them in my pocket until I get to my room, I knew you hadn't changed." she said holding his paw making Groot grin stunning the other kids and the teacher that she liked Rocket which Gamora understood hoping Mantis was okay.
"They've been this way since we met them." Peter said.
That evening, while getting ready for bed, Rocket was distracted which Groot guessed was because of his pretty lady being in their class hearing him saying he hoped that Lylla was okay as she didn't have any roommates hearing soft knocking oon their door answering seeing Lylla there in her pyjamas, making Rocket understand letting her in hugging her noticing she was quiet sitting on the bed withhim and Groot.
"Everything okay, pretty lady, couldn't sleep." Rocket asked her.
"I couldn't sleep Rockie, plus thanks for getting my stuff back." she replied.
Rocket understood deciding they should make a fort, seeing Lylla grin as that was something they had used to do when together making Groot grin helping then saw the two of them having snacks together and giggling playing and telling stories, especially using shadow puppets impressing Groot at this, knowing how important Lylla and Rocket were to each other, hearing yawning.
"I am Groot, I am Groot." Groot told them.
"Yeah, you have a point bud." Rocket replied.
