"We're Ready to start!" Chapati begins "What kind of game will we see in this 'Hidden' event? Yajima is there, anyone, we should keep an eye on?" asked Chapati.
"Hmm… the favourite is most likely Rufus. But personally, I'd like to focus on Gray." Answered Yajima.
"What about you, Jenny?" Asked Chapati.
"I'll be watching my guild's Eve, of course. He can be pretty tough." Answered Jenny.
Luck, Beth, Nullpudding, Eve, Rufus, Lyon, Gray and Juvia gathered around a small person with a giant pumpkin head, wearing a striped red and white shirt with a dark green cape, wearing a pair of black trousers, navy blue boots, white gloves and a green wizard's hat, who goes by the name Mato.
"Juvia is sorry my love, but she doesn't intend to lose," Juvia spoke to Gray.
"I don't want you to. Bring it on." Gray responses
"I hate to tell you I won't be holding back either." Lyon turned from Gray to Juvia. "I do it all for you, Juvia!" Trying to get Juvia's attention, only getting a negative response to his advances.
"And hey, I've been wondering since the start of these games… what are you?" asked Gray pointing at Mato.
Mato claps his hands together and tilts his head to the side before responding in a pleasant singing voice "Can't you see?... I'm a Pumpkin."
Gray just sweat drops "Huh?... My fault for asking."
Juvia jumps in with her response." He looks like a pumpkin to Juvia too."
"Just hold on a second." Interrupted Nullpudding before continuing to speak "I don't know what kind of game this is going to be, but isn't it going to be an unfair advantage to have two from the same guild competing."
Before Nullpudding could get a response from Mato, he got a shiver down his spine as he looked behind himself to see what could alone be described as a joyous childlike face. Luck smiled down at him, but his eyes seemed wide and ready for battle. Like he was a predator that just wanted to play with his food for the fun of it.
"Haha… So what, it will make fighting them all the more fun as the battle will last longer, and the longer the battle the bloodier it gets, haha." Luck smiled at Nullpudding as well as the others. All the while his smile never leaves his face. Nullpudding takes a step back as he was scared of the look on his face as it didn't match what he said. The others also seem to take a step back while keeping an eye on him as he looks as though he could pounce at any time.
"I agree I don't have a problem with it, as two heads are not always better than one." Rufus, breaking the tension after Luck's scene. All the other teams agreed that they didn't have a problem with two Fairy Tail members.
"Now open the field!" Mato raised his arms as a city in the middle of the stadium seemed to take form little by little as if it was getting built right in front of everyone's eyes until it covered the whole stadium arena and the crowd cheered in amazement.
"Whoa, that's so cool!" Yelled Asta with stars in his eyes looking around the whole stadium taking in the newly formed city as the rest of the Black Bull looked on in shock and bewilderment at how they did it.
Luck and all the other participants were placed in different sections within the newly built city as Luck looked around his new surroundings.
"Please enjoy a view of the game in the city on our lacrima vision monitors." Chapati pointed to the large lacrima screen that formed around the stadium showing all the participants within the city. "None of the eight can see what the others are doing." Chapati explains, then goes on to the rules of the game. "The rules are simple. Everyone is 'it', and everyone is 'hiding'. The contestants are to find their opponents within the city. And use any kind of magic they like to attack. Regardless of how much damage is dealt, every successful hit will earn the player one point." While the participants were learning the rules and coming up with a plan during the game. All around them, copies of one another and themselves covered the street within the mock-up city, Chapati continued to explain the rules. "These are copies we made of everyone. If a player mistakenly attacks a copy, they will lose one point." Chapati, finishing with the rules of the game. "Now! Fade into the silence! Like the black cat in the night!" With the ringing of the Gong, "Let The Hidden, BEGIN!" he yelled as the crowd roared.
Right off the bat, Juvia loses one point for hugging a copy of Gray before getting zapped by the copy. Before appearing in another within the city. As Chapati explains to the crowd and the players, that you will restart in another area in the city in ten seconds after hitting a copy and the same will happen if you get hit by an opponent as well.
While all the other players are hiding, or trying to find others. Luck was just standing there with what looked like sparks coming off him and a grin as if he was waiting for something.
In another part of the city, Gray was having trouble with Nullpudding as he seems to be going after Gray in this event, bringing Gray to negative 2 points and Nullpudding to one point. Giving Nullpudding the lead at the moment.
"How can they find their flesh and blood opponents in a city full of copies?" Chapati asked his other commentators.
"There are several ways to go about it." Yajima said before explaining one "For example, you can search out your opponent's magic." He finished.
Jenny comes in with her response." I think Eve has an even better method."
Back to the games, we have Gray once again being attracted but this time by Beth from Mermaid Heel "Carrot Missiles." Carrots fly out at Gray from the ground who just manages to dodge them "Aww, shucks. I missed." A little annoyed that she missed her chance to gain a point.
Only to be hit by an ice blast from the Ice-Make magic user from Lamia Scale, giving Lyon one point. "I found you, Gray." looking right at him.
Lyon pauses when he hears a faint shout in the distance "Gray my love!" Juvia jumps off the roof right above them, making both Gray and Lyon look up to see Juvia falling towards them
"Juvia!" Gray shouts in surprise
Lyon was shocked to see Juvia's "P – panties!" only for his face to meet Juvia's feet as she stomps him in the face, Juvia shouts when her feet connect just making Gray sweat drops at her actions. But this action brings both Juvia and Lyon scores back to zero.
"I don't need your help," Gray said.
"Juvia knows." she replies.
She turns to him with a serious face "Juvia will defect you. She made a deal with the Master."
"A deal with the old man?"
"Yes," Juvia answers Gary's question.
Gray and Juvia were fighting over what their Master had set up. They failed to notice Nullpudding was on the move towards them. Both Gray and Juvia settled their little argument and were about to start fighting, only to be interrupted by Nullpudding coming in between them, swinging his arms around hitting them both bringing his score up to three, Juvia's back to negative one point and Gary's down to negative three.
Gray and Juvia were both relocated within the city when it started snowing, surprising the players and the commentators "What's this!? Snow has started to fall over the city!" Chapati is not sure what is going on until Jenny comes in to clarify to commentators and everyone in the audience what is happening
"That would be Eve's magic." before going on to explain "See most humans get cold, they begin to shiver, and breath turns white. Their copies won't."
"I see you." Eve went onto the attack, now that he was able to see where his opponents were as there was nowhere to hide. With such quick movements, he was able to get Beth, Nullpudding and Juvia.
"And Eve gets three points in one swoop! Bring him on top!" States Chapati before going on to a play by play of the game hidden "The cold doesn't seem to faze Lyon as he gives chase to Eve!" … "The silent battle continues in different parts of the city." … "I've noticed that we haven't seen any action from both Sabertooth's Rufus and The Black Bulls Luck."
"What is he doing!? If he loses and I don't get to see my precious Marie again I'm going to murder him!" A frustrated Gauche yelled, with just watching Luck standing there, with that crazed smile on his face and closed eyes like he doesn't have a care in the world.
"Hey, I'm sure he'll start moving soon," Asta said closed his eyes, waving his hand in a calming manner trying to reassure Gauche that Luck has got this. Just as he said that Luck's eye's shot open with a crazed look in them, his tongue coming out to lick his lips before his glowing grimoire hovers out in front of him before it opens.
"What's this? We have some movement from The Black Bulls Luck! But what's with that book? Is it a part of his magic?" Asked Chapati
"I don't know, I've never seen anything like it before, and they formed their guild after I left the Magic Council, as well as being a guild that stays out of the spotlight, so I have no real idea what their members are capable of." Yajima, not really answering but making more questions.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves what he can do." Said Chapati with a bit of excitement in his voice.
We turn back to Luck with his grimoire flipping through pages before stopping, he shouts "Lightning Creation Magic: Thunder God's Boots and Gloves." Bright blue lighting rushes to his feet and arms before wrapping around them in the form of thigh-high boots with spikes coming out at the knee as on top of his foot, the rest takes shape into thick claws shaped gloves going up his whole arm forming a small open vest that also has spikes coming out at the elbow. Only to leave a little lighting to form two horns coming out of his blonde hair. Making him look even more terrifying, which the audience didn't even think was possible.
Then in less than a blink of an eye, he was gone leaving only a streak of lighting on where he had been, as the lacrima vision monitors had trouble keeping up with him. Shocking everyone watching but The Black Bulls on his speed, but not only that, the way he moves weaving in and out of the copies as if they weren't there.
Then in what could be only a second or two, all you hear is six cries of pain as Luck slows down to a stop with a happy grin, turning into a sad pout on his face. "Aww, that was no fun." Where you see Eve, Gray, Juvia, Beth, Lyon and Nullpudding on the ground behind him with sparks coming off them in pain and confusion on what had just happened to them, as they didn't see anything but a blue streak of lightning after they were hit before they disappeared into different sections of the city.
"Wh – What was that just now!? I could hardly see it happen, but I think The Black Bulls Luck Voltia has just taken the lead with an impressive six points, in what was just a second." Breathed out Chapati in total shock on what he just witnessed as well as the rest of the audience and the other guilds bar The Black Bulls.
With Fairy Tail, looking for an explanation on what they just saw when Erza spoke up "How did he do that? How did he know where they were? And still, be able to pick them out of the copies right next to them?" She continued to question herself. "Could it have been magic sensing? But shouldn't have pinpointed their location to that degree or at least not at the speed he was travelling." Still looked on in shock at what this young-looking childish boy just accomplished, trying to come up with an answer to her so many questions.
Looking over to her other guild members on what they thought but all of them had the same look as she did confusion and shock, but seeing Laxus shocked her the most. 'He didn't turn into lightning to move that fast. He just ran, he thought trying to come out of his shock state a little.
"Interesting type of magic, the boy uses Lightning Creation Magic similar but still different to Maker Magic, and that book he uses, is it part of it?" Questioned the First Master looking at the boy who just took the lead by a fair margin.
Back in the city where Luck was located we see his eye's light up when he finds the man he was looking for.
"Wait… what's this!" Chapati was shocked once more, but for Rufus's actions, as he was now not even attempting to hide as he was standing on a roof of a tall building overlooking the city.
"I remember." While starting moving his hands up "Each individual pulse, footstep, magic attribute. I remember, I remember it all." As his hands reach his head with his middle and index finger pointing at his head as he starts to recite his spell "Memory Make"
"Maker Magic?!" Both Lyon and Gray said at the same time in surprise.
"- Night of Falling Stars." Rufus finished the spell, as seven beams of light resembling shooting stars flew through the sky shooting towards his opponents. Getting six direct hits, Luck was able to dodge the spell with ease, as well as Nullpudding who was able to recover from Luck's earlier attack just in time to dive out of the fall star's path.
"With that brilliant display, brings Rufus up to tie for first place with both him and Luck on six points!... wait, what's this?!" Chapati said,
Shooting up behind Rufus was none other than Luck in this Thunder God's Boots and Gloves showing his childlike smile on a face ready to do battle. "Now that you've stopped hiding your Magic we can have some fun." An excited Luck said ready to attack as an orb of lightning formed in his lightning glove "Lightning Creation Magic: Thunderbolt Destruction." The orb flies forward at an insane speed hitting Rufus or what he thought was Rufus, fades away "huh…"
"Fret not. That was only your memory of me standing there. I need no decoy." Rufus goes into an attack, only for Luck to dodge and counter, only to just miss Rufus by a hair.
"Haha… this is fun, you are strong. Hey, weird hat guy, do that last thing again!" Asked Luck like he just saw the best magic trick in the world.
Rufus looks towards Luck "The name's Rufus Lore, and don't worry I will, but this time I won't miss and I'll take the win for Sabertooth." Showing a confident smirk only to get a smile in return from Luck, but with eyes looking like a predator hunting down his prey.
Luck shoots forward towards him, priming his Thunderbolt Destruction, he shoots towards Rufus again, getting the same result as before but unlike last time Luck's smile turns into a huge grin, he quickly changes direction with a spin kick in the air. "I thought I sensed something off before, your magic moves when you don't. So I've just got to follow the magic." To everyone's surprise in the stadium you hear a cry out in pain, then a bang as Rufus is kicked, not just off the roof but into the next building, stunned at what just happened "How did… he saw through my Memory Make magic." Rufus struggles to get up, only to be teleported to another section of the city when the Gong that started the match went off again symbolising the end of the game Hidden.
"…" Sting, Rogue, Yukino, Orga, Frosch and Lector just stare at the monitor in complete and utter shock at what they have just witnessed, as they see Luck with both fists in the air looking like a joyous child doing something for the first time in their life. Then they look at Rufus who still seems to be in shock over what has happened before going on to say "I've committed it to memory, you won't get me like that again Luck Voltia of The Black Bulls." Standing up to leave.
The crowd is still in shock only to hear cheering coming from The Black Bulls but soon begin to join in as they get louder and louder until they're roaring The Black Bulls name. "WHOOA. See I told you he had this." Asta told Gauche. "I guess he'll live for today but if he does that again I'm will murder him." Only looking at his photo while replying to Asta.
"Man Luck was awesome out there man I'm pumped up. See Asta, we aren't on the sidelines anymore!" Magna clenched his fist. 'I won't fall behind Luck, I'll win my events.'
"You right Magna." Asta replies just as excited to show off what he could do as well.
"It's not often, but I guess you were right this time." Noelle dismisses Magna with a hair flick.
"Huh… What was that little Miss Royalty." He shot back leading down to her height.
Only looking down on Magna from the corner of her eyes "You heard me."
"What a surprising finish to the game Hidden! Who could have seen that coming, the undefeatable Rufus Lore from Sabertooth was defeated, by this member from the newly formed guild that came out of the shadows roughly a year and a half ago. Luck Voltia!" Chapati announced the winner of the event. "What did you think about it, Yajima, Jenny?"
"I'm surprised just as the rest, the boy sure uses an interesting form of lightning magic and uses it so well. I can't wait to see who the rest of the guild performs." Answered Yajima
"He moved so well and if the rest of the guild's team are on the same level they will be tough to beat." Added Jenny.
"Thank you for your insight and your right. If they keep this up they might just be the team to beat. But we shouldn't rule out the other teams just yet as the first day hasn't come to an end yet. We still have the battles to go and a chance for many teams to take the lead on day one." Finished Chapati.
