The world in which the children lived was full of strange and anomalous powers that defied logic, physics, and even common sense. People bestowed with these powers that were dubbed 'Quirks' often become real-life superheroes or supervillains. Heroes and Villains with both Quirks tended to battle each other, the heroes protecting the people while the villains committed crime and threatened civilians.
A Quirk would tend to manifest at around the age of 4, and most could be picked up with a standard medical examination. However, for some, their Quirks appeared later in their life. Izuku was one such example.
When Izuku went to his mom and told her about his Quirk manifesting she brought him to the Quirk Doctor to get him examined and registered. Tests proved that Izuku's Quirk was invisible to most people but its effects were noticeable, he could generate blasts, create barriers and enhance his physical abilities. The Doctor said that it was most likely that Izuku had a Spiritual Quirk. Spiritual Quirks manipulated Spiritual Energy and this form of energy was invisible to most people. Izuku's Quirk was named [Shinigami] after the Gods of Death who brought souls into the Afterlife.
With his Quirk he'd be able to become an amazing Hero. All he needed was to improve his physical capabilities and learn how to master the many powers that his Quirk granted him.
Ever since that day he met them, Izuku trained with the Raiden Brothers in using their Quirks together. The Raiden Brothers had strong and impressive Quirks that made them stand out. Nagare had the Quirk [Phoenix]. Karma had the Quirk [Antimatter] which allowed him to manipulate antimatter. Edgar had the Quirk [Space Control] that allowed him to manipulate space within a range of 10 meters. Apollo's Quirk was [Hyperspeed] which allowed him to move at high speeds ranging from hypersonic speed to the speed of light. Fraost had the Quirk [Energy Control] which allowed him to manipulate all forms of energy, even the energy possessed by Quirks. Although he could only manipulate one form of energy at a time.
The Raiden Brothers improved their Quirks and found efficient ways to use their Quirks. Nagare learned to use the flames created by his Quirk [Phoenix] to heal others. Karma learned to better control the antimatter his Quirk [Antimatter] generated. Edgar learned to create portals with his [Space Control] Quirk. Apollo improved his reflexes and spatial awareness when using his Quirk [Hyperspeed]. Fraost learned to absorb the energy of Quirks to nullify them.
Izuku learned to manifest a weapon created by his Spiritual Power called a Zanpakuto. His Zanpakuto took the form of a Wakizashi and was named [Mugen]. Izuku unlocked a transformation of his Zanpakuto called Shikai which upgraded [Mugen] and changed its form into a Katana. His Shikai gave him access to all Shikai in the Bleach Universe. When using the Shikai of a Bleach character, Izuku's Zanpakuto [Mugen] changed into the Zanpakuto the Shikai originated from. Izuku could switch from one Shikai to another but could only use one Shikai at a time.
As all this went by, Bakugo witnessed Izuku growing stronger as he trained with his Quirk and grew jealous and resentful, forcing himself into his own personal training with his Quirk, [Explosion], in order to be strong enough to beat Izuku and his new friends.
Four Years Later:
"That's a big Villain, guys!"
Izuku and the Raiden Brothers were all currently in Junior High, they were watching as a Villain with a Gigantification Quirk was rampaging through the city. Already, Heroes were on the scene.
The first one to arrive was The Punching Hero: Death Arms, who possessed a Quirk called [Mighty Arms], which granted him incredible strength which he used to catch a falling radio tower the Villain had knocked over.
Helping to keep civilians out of the line of fire was Backdraft, a Rescue Hero whose Quirk, [Water Pump], could create an endless supply of water from the spigots growing from his hands, and manipulate that water at will. Some of the people noted that the Villain was just an amateur purse thief before they were found out and pursued.
Two heroes leaped down, the first individual was an Elvis look-alike who was dressed in a stylized light blue jumpsuit and white dockers and was carrying a guitar. He was the Musical Hero: Honky Tonk Man. His quirk was [Rhythm and Blues] which allowed him to use his music as a weapon.
His partner was Kamui Woods, a rising star in the hero scene with a Quirk named [Arbor], which allowed him to generate and manipulate wood. The duo charged at the Villain, who roared in fury and swatted at them.
"How thick do you think his skin is at this size?" Honky Tonk Man asked his partner.
"Thick enough that not even anti-tank rifles could break it," Kamui Woods suggested, "But he'd still feel the pain all the same."
"All I need to know..." Honky Tonk Man smirked as he began playing on his guitar, "EL KABONG!"
Hypersonic sound waves burst from Honky's guitar striking the massive villain causing the criminal to grunt in pain.
"Nice work!" Kamui Woods called out as he ran along the train bridge, "Just keep him busy a little longer!"
Kamui Woods then got into a proper position in front of the Villain as Honky Tonk Man jumped down beside him. The Wood Hero then extended wooden branch-like tentacles from his fingers.
"You're charged with assault, robbery, and illegal use of Quirk! LACQUERED CHAIN PRISON!"
As Kamui Woods began restraining the Villain, Honky Tonk Man noticed a large figure incoming and gestured for his partner to see.
"Looks like we're not the only ones coming. Heads up!" He said.
Kamui Woods noticed who was coming and sighed as a large woman in a skintight leotard, a few feet taller than the Villain, leaped in Kamen Rider style.
"CANYON CANNON!"
She immediately kicked the Villain, knocking him off the bridge. Cameramen suddenly appeared in droves, trying to get a picture as the attractive woman was bent over while tying up the villain, chanting "Money Shot." as they did so.
"Piece of cake for the world's hottest new Pro Hero. Hello there, everyone. I'm Mount Lady, and my Quirk is [Gigantification]. "You don't have to worry about this bum anymore~."
The six adolescent youths who had witnessed the whole thing smiled as they resumed their trek to school. Five of them perked up when the sixth of their pack started writing in his notebook about Mount Lady's appearance and Quirk while muttering up a storm.
"Again, Izu?" Nagare asked with a sigh as Apollo smiled.
"Sorry I can't help it Nagare," Izuku said sheepishly.
"Ain't that right?" Karma quipped.
The six friends had managed to arrive at their school, Aldera Junior High, and were currently sitting in class. Izuku was going through his hero notes, Nagare was eating his lunch before lunchtime, Karma was asleep, Edgar was reading a textbook, Apollo was drawing up ideas for his Hero Costume and Fraost was staring out the window.
"Right about now you all should be considering your future careers," The homeroom teacher said before grinning as he tossed his papers in the air. "But of course, you all want to be Heroes, correct?"
The class cheered and began showing off their Quirks except for Izuku, Nagare, Karma, Edgar, Apollo, Fraost, and Bakugo. The teacher proceeded to clear his throat loudly in order to quell his students.
"Yes, you're Quirks all are wonderful but remember using your Quirk in class is against the rules."
"Oi Sensei! Don't lump me in with the rest of these losers and their weak ass Quirks!" Bakugo yelled with his feet on his desk. "My Quirk is the best!"
"Oh yeah if your Quirk is so exceptional how come you can't beat Izuku or my brothers and I?" Nagare said sarcastically.
"Shut the hell up!" Bakugo shouted getting up from his desk.
"Oh did Nagare hit a nerve?" Karma taunted.
"Please settle down!" The Teacher said.
Bakugo huffed and sat back down in his seat.
"Sorry, sir." Nagare and Karma said.
"Alright, you all wish to be Heroes, but there are some things that you should probably understand. For example; What defines a Hero?" The teacher inquired before spotting Izuku with his hand raised. "Yes, Midoriya?"
"A willingness to do what is right. And the ability to use your power in a way that can help people." Izuku said.
The teacher nodded. "Indeed. While fame helps put you out in the world and money helps put food on the table and pays your bills, you all need to understand that being a Hero is about doing what is right with what you have."
"Still, there are plenty of other students who have capabilities in certain fields," Izuku said as he looked towards some of the students. "Like you, you can manipulate granite and use it to form armor around yourself and you can project fire from your hands."
The teacher cleared his throat. "The point is, right now our class only has seven students: Midoriya, Bakugo, and the Raiden Brothers who have all the qualifications to enter any high school specializing in training Heroes. Especially since the seven of them recently aced the mock exam for UA High School."
"Hell yeah, I did!" Bakugo said as the Raiden Brothers rolled their eyes while Izuku sighed.
Meanwhile, a Sludge Villain was running from a store, cash stuffed into his body. Quickly running after him was a tall bald muscular man with a blonde mustache. He was the Muscle Hero: Strong Arm Armstrong. His Quirk, [Strongman], granted him an invulnerable body and superhuman physical characteristics such as enhanced strength. As the chase occurred, another figure, a tall lanky skeleton of a man, came out of a convenience store and spotted the chase.
"Might want to help him out," He noted as he focused and, in a burst of steam, his body instantly grew into a more muscled form.
"Man," A guy on the street said, "It's like there's no stopping these Villains."
"YES THERE IS!" the now enlarged man said as the people turned and gasped in delight at the sight of him. "BECAUSE I AM HERE!"
Izuku had split off from his friends in order to continue working on his hero notebook. As he put the finishing touches on his page detailing Mount Lady's Quirk and how she could improve herself in the field. He thought back to when he first saw Heroes in action on the TV at home with his parents.
"Pro Heroes are so cool! When I grow up, I wanna be an amazing Hero!"
"We have no doubt that you will, sweetie! Shoot for the stars!"
As he was reminiscing, Izuku was suddenly snapped back into reality when he heard a gurgling sound and turned around to see the Sludge Villain that had been chased by Strong Arm Armstrong.
"Hey there, kid!" The Villain said with an evil grin. "No hard feelings, but I'm gonna need your body!"
"I don't think so!" Izuku said.
Before the Sludge Villain could react, Izuku summoned his Zanpakuto. Entering Shikai [Mugen] transformed into [Senbonzakura] Zanpakuto of Sixth Division Captain Byakuya Kuchiki. Using the Shikai of [Senbonzakura] Izuku cut his would-be attacker's amorphous body into pieces. The sound of a nearby manhole cover flying off then caught Izuku's attention.
"HAVE NO FEAR, YOUNG MAN, FOR I AM HERE!"
Izuku's eyes widened and began sparkling in excitement as he recognized the muscular man who had just arrived. He was the one Pro Hero who was the #1 Pro Hero in Japan and was the one crowned with the title of the Symbol of Peace; All-Might!
"HOLY CRAP, IT'S ALL-MIGHT! WHAT'S HE DOING HERE?!" Izuku cried, about to faint at the sight of his favorite Hero.
"I was making a lunch run when I spotted this fiend running past!" All-Might explained. "We kinda lost Strong Arm Armstrong on the way, though. The slippery punk managed to evade him at the last minute. But no evil can get away once I catch a whiff of it!"
All Might then noticed the villain incapacitated with his slime body in multiple pieces scattered around the place.
'I see the villain has been taken care of already ..." All-Might said awkwardly.
"Sorry that you couldn't catch the villain on time, All-Might," Izuku said. "He tried to take over my body so I had to act fast."
"No harm, no foul young man." "You were only acting in self-defense."
As All-Might took out some bottles and collected the still living chunks of the Sludge Villain, Izuku realized that, since he was in the presence of his hero, he needed to get an autograph. As he searched for his notebook, he noticed All-Might holding it in front of him and the boy gasped when he saw that the Symbol of Peace had already signed it.
"Thank you so much for this!" Izuku said, bowing in gratitude.
All-Might gave a thumbs up in response. "Well, I should get this evil-doer over to the proper authorities. You stay out of trouble now!"
He leaped off but was surprised when Midoriya wound up grabbing onto his leg and as a result, was pulled along for the ride.
"Ehhh!" "What are you doing kid!" All Might said. "You should let go!"
"If I do, I'll die!" Izuku said, reminding All Might that they were in the air, the Symbol of Peace pausing when he realized Izuku had a point.
'By Jove! You're right!"
"I'm so sorry! There's just something important I needed to ask you first!" Izuku explained.
All-Might could sense the boy was serious and decided to land on a nearby rooftop. Once he did, he shocked Izuku by shrinking into a skeletal man.
"Sorry about that," He said, his voice now a much more normal tone, "So what did you want to ask me?"
