Olive: Hey, i thought i responded, sorry. Did you ever get that quest done?

Olive: Eli?

Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion before texting her other friend.

V: dude, spaghetti.

Twiggy: What?

V: Just checkin to see if my phone worked

V: hru?

Twiggy: oh im ok I guess. Kyler wrecked me last night

V: What!

Immediately, Olivia called Miguel to check on him. When her friend answered after one ring, she said, "what happened?!"

Miguel sighed into the phone, happy to hear his friend's voice. He went on to explain his attempt at standing up to Kyler.

...

"Wow, that's crazy, Twiggy. You need to be more careful," she chastised, almost hearing the eye roll on the other line. The Charlestonian looked down at her phone messages for a second.

Olive: Hey, i thought i responded, sorry. Did you ever get that quest done?

Olive: Eli? Didn't see u at school, did you and demi-tree skip without me :(

Olive: EEEeeeeeeLLLiiiiii.

Olive: Everything ok?

Seen at 8:13 pm.

'It's 8:14 pm...'

"Yeah yeah, mama bear, my mom has already banned me from Karate," he muttered angrily.

"Oh shit, really?" Olivia knew that Karate meant a lot to Miguel, building his confidence. To be forced to quit must be hard on him. "I'm sorry, Twiggy."

"It's alright, V. I'll live, I guess," he chuckled half-heartedly. He shifted in the chair and looked at his computer, where his Facebook remained open on his friend's page.

Olivia glanced at the clock, and after realizing Eli was still mad about last night, she made a choice.

"I'm coming to pick you up, and we are getting milkshakes," she pulled her hair up in a bun on top of her head and slid on some sweatpants. Grabbing her wallet and keys, she made Miguel stop his blubbering.

"Milkshakes are scientifically proven to make you feel better," she shut the door and headed to the car. "It would be a sin to prevent you from this medicine."

Miguel stopped trying to interrupt his friend and closed his computer. The Spanish speaker ran to the bathroom to fix his hair and wash his face when she hung up the phone.

'Maybe I should take a shower..."

The two teenagers sat on the hood of her Honda Civic, enjoying their shakes and the cool air of the night. Far from quiet, the neighborhood provided an energetic atmosphere for the two.

Pulling out her phone, the young girl switched to the camera app and lifted it up until the two of them. Understanding the gesture, Miguel threw his arm around Olivia and smiled widely. They took a selfie with their milkshakes and posted it online, giggling about stories from their lives.

"So no more Karate?" The brunette started hesitantly.

Miguel sighed and took another sip of his shake before telling her the story of what happened earlier when he approached his sensei.

Finishing her shake, Olivia's eyebrows furrowed.

"That's kind of lame. Sounds like he's feeling guilty," she crumpled up the cup and sat it next to her, "maybe he feels like it's his fault."

"But it's not!" Miguel responded angrily, "It's those jerks' fault. God, I hate bullies."'

"I hate bullies like you!"

"Y-yeah, me too," she responded quietly, head filled with memories. Miguel finished his shake before grabbing her cup can throwing them both in the dumpster.

"Hey, can you unlock your car? I left my jacket in there."

"Yeah, sure, go ahead!"

Miguel gave thanks as he opened the passenger door to grab his jacket. As he was leaving the car, he noticed a familiar piece of paper in the cupholder. Holding it, he looked at it and showed it to his friend.

"Considering Cobra Kai?" He asked, "I thought you didn't like Karate."

Olivia walked over to the front of her car to meet him. Looking confused, she grabbed the piece of paper before remembering where it came from, "Oh yeah! This random adult found me in the hallway last night and gave it to me. Kinda creepy, t.b.h."

As if a lightbulb went off in her head, she stepped back and looked at Miguel, "Was that your sensei?"

Nodding his head eagerly, he responded, "Yeah, that was sensei Lawrence! Pretty cool, huh?"

Thinking about the man for a second, she nodded slowly, "Yeah, I guess he's cool. Actually has a really nice DILF vibe to him."

Blanching at her response, he gagged a little bit, "oh, oh, oh that's just wrong, V..."

Chuckling at her friend's mental pain, she took the flier and threw it in her car, "Whatever, Twiggy, get back inside before your mother comes out and kills me." She gave him a slight shove to his apartment, and Miguel joined her in the mirth.

"See you tomorrow?"

"See ya tomorrow, Miguel!"

"No. What has confidence ever gotten anybody except for a black eye, and their backpack was thrown in the trash?"

Olivia joined the group during Demetri's depressive sarcasm and responded, "without confidence, the Doctor would have been actually dead by now." Sitting down across from Miguel and next to Eli, the latter only gave her a brief glance as he remained silent.

Demetri pointed at his friend of the opposite sex, "Now you see that there is a fictional character, hobbit. We are not a thousand-year-old alien who travels time and space."

Rolling her eyes, Olivia got out a banana from her backpack. Otherwise, she remained silent as the more talkative two talked about superpowers. Risking a glance at her quieter friend, she wondered why he was silent to her. Olivia peeled her banana quietly.

"A distant second would be super speed, to run away. Fast." Olivia chuckled and took a bite from her fruit, about to respond when she felt the air around the change.

"Runaway from who?"

Stiffening, she closed her mouth and almost laughed when Kyler corrected his prepositions or whatever.

She didn't like English.

All four of them quickly got up to go. "W-we were just leaving."

"Hey, where are you going?"

Olivia winced as they all stopped what they were doing. Kyler's eyes panned over to her with the banana still in her hand and grinned.

"Oh, I see what you're doing back here. Cripple here is putting on a show!" He laughed with his buddy, "Go ahead, continue. Don't stop on my account."

Looking at Kyler and then down at the floor, Olivia felt her heartbeat race and the sides of her vision blur. She had to grip her snack a little more firmly, thinking it might slip through from the sweat of her palms.

"Yeah, that's right, freak. Grip it firmly and stick it down your throat," Kyler grabbed her arm and shoved the fruit closer to her lips.

With tears building up in her eyes, she opened her mouth and went to stick the banana in her mouth. Her friends turned away in anger and embarrassment, not wanting to watch their friend be humiliated in such away. Eli clenched his backpack tighter as he watched the torment from his peripherals.

As she got a mouthful, the bullies in front of her laughed at her expense. One of them shoved her hand, making her choke and back away in a panic, the tears falling. Eli quickly moved to go help her when Kyler grabbed his bag and pulled him back. Holding his face harshly, he responded in awe.

"Oh, look at this freak!" He exclaimed. "Oh, Oh Shit!" He carefully examined the shorter boy's deformity as Eli tried to pretend he didn't exist.

"What kind of girl would ever kiss this shit?" Olivia overheard the comment and clenched her fists in rage, wanting to beat the shit out of the guy.

She wanted to take the banana peel that was now on the floor and shove it down his throat, forcing him to choke on it. She wanted to stop on his dick until she was sure no mini-Kylers could curse this world again. She wanted to-

"Leave him alone, Kyler."

Miguel was furious at the treatment of his friends. He hated watching the friend who came to his door last night to cheer him up with milkshakes crying silently from the sexual harassment.

He hated the trembles going through his friend that gave him a place to sit on his first.

He hated being with mercy.

...

"I don't think I'll ever eat yogurt again," exclaimed Demetri as he washed his bag off. The four were in the men's bathroom, trying to decompress from the stressful situation. Miguel was helping Olivia calm down as she sat in the far stall, crying softly. Eli sat quietly by the sink, feeling useless.

Even Demetri didn't speak as the soft sobs filled the bathroom, and the atmosphere turned grim.

Olivia greeted her dad warmly at the front door, helping him with his bags, "Geez, old man, this trip was longer than the last!"

"Yeah, it does feel like they're getting longer, sugar," Edward Reynolds chuckled and hugged his daughter, "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too, dad," she replied, squeezing him tighter. "Home just feels too quiet sometimes."

"Yeah, I understand, kiddo. That's what parties are for, though." Olivia rolled her eyes as her dad chuckled, "what?!"

"I just don't understand how your mom and I created such a goody-two-shoes."

Olivia scoffed, offended. "I am not a goody-two-shoes. I am a normal teenage girl who wears converse and t-shirts. I have three good friends and have read more books than you, old man." She shoved his duffle bag into the laundry room.

"I'm only messing with you, tiger," Mr. Reynolds responded, messing up her hair. "The last time you had that much heat was when you got your brown bey."

The mood dropped as Olivia stopped her ascent upstairs. Frozen, she gripped onto the railing.

"Olivia," her dad started cautiously, "I'm so sorry."

Olivia kept walking up the stairs, ignoring her dad and her heartbeat.

"Congratulations to our brown belts!"

"Olivia Reynolds, second-degree brown."

"Great job kiddo, see you at the tournament next week."

Olivia had taken to being as quiet as she could be at school to avoid more trouble. Besides the occasional trip in classes, the daily shove into lockers and the creative insults, the brunette managed to make it without letting her emotions get the best of her. At lunch, she listened to Demetri and Miguel talk and wondered why Eli wasn't talking to her.

He wasn't answering any text messages or Discord requests. The three hadn't gone on a goblin raid in weeks.

"You know that billboard with a big-ass dick on it?" Olivia was snapped out of her self-pity with the loud exclamation from Kyler. "I guess Sam takes after her dad."

The cafeteria flooded with laughter at the eldest LaRusso's expense. Olivia's heart went out for the poor girl knowing what it felt like to be in her shoes. LaRusso looked like she was about to cry when the unexpected happened.

"Hey, Kyler!" Miguel shouted from their table, standing up and making the cafeteria silent. "Why don't you shut the hell up and stop being such an asshole?"

Olivia tried to grab onto Miguel with wide eyes and avoid heading into a fight. He only shoved her off and continued to walk towards the other male.

"Want another beatdown, 'Rhea'?"

"Oh fuck, fuck, fuck." Olivia hid her face in the shoulder next to her. She grabbed onto the sleeve of the connected arm when Miguel was shoved back harshly. "I cannot watch this shit show..."

Eli glanced at the signature hairstyle with brown hair up in a bun. He had been giving her a rather rough silent treatment since the dance. Primarily due to being unable to address his feelings adequately to the girl.

Hesitantly he drew his other hand and went to grab hers...

...Only to put it back at his side and just watch the sight in front of him.

"I'm ready for your lame-ass karate this time."

'This time?' Olivia thought to herself, looking up and letting go of Eli. Immediately the boy felt cold without the touch of his friend and longed to pull her back.

Miguel stepped forward towards Kyler at the last shove, "it's not lame-ass karate."

He blocked and trapped the punch that was headed towards him. Olivia took in a sharp breath, grabbing onto her own sleeves.

"Defend yourself, slut!"

"This lame-ass Karate bitch can't do anything!"

"Freak!"

"It's Cobra Kai."

...

After Miguel was taken by Blatt from the cafeteria with a standing ovation, Olivia stood quickly. She made her way out of the cafeteria and followed Demetri and Eli. "I, uh, gotta go drop off something for my neighbor after school today. It's double XP weekend. Y'all feel like doing some grinding tonight?" The brunette asked with hopeful eyes towards her two best friends.

"That's it?! We're not even going to talk about Jackie Chan busting the asses of our three biggest bullies from the past two years in less than two minutes?!" Demetri exclaimed incredulously.

Olivia rolled her eyes, "I gotta get to class, moron, and we don't share the fourth block. We can talk on Discord tonight unless you want to do a LAN party?"

Eli shook his head, "m-my mom doesn't want me bringing my computer setup a-anywhere again after what happened last time."

The minority of the group nodded and turned to go down the hall, "See ya on Discord, boys!"

Demetri still looked traumatized, and all Eli could do was give him a shove to their final block.

"You what?" Olivia choked on her Blow Pop in disbelief. "Let me make sure my headphones are on because I don't think I heard you correctly."

"I want to join Cobra Kai," Eli repeated himself as his character mined next to his friends, "Demetri and I talked about it in fourth block today."

"Yeah, it'd be pretty sweet to not have to deal with yogurt on my backpack or watch my friend get a banana shoved down her throat-"

"Dude?!" Eli cut his black-haired friend off in surprise as Olivia took a deep breath as she remembered that day.

"What?! I'm just saying..." Demetri grumbled, "It's Eli's idea anyway. Are you in?"

Olivia was silent for a few moments, "...I don't know, Karate isn't really for girls..."

"Karate isn't for girls anyways. The dance studio is around the corner."

"Stop crying! There are no little girls in my dojo, so man up!"

Demetri snorted as he teleported to the bank to drop off his ore, "that's bullshit. I hear Aisha has been at Cobra Kai for a while now and is totally kick ass."

"Would you at least give us a ride there?" Eli pleaded, wanting her to join in to learn to protect herself.

At Eli's plea, Olivia found it hard to say no. He really wanted this, the ability to learn how to fight back against the bullies.

"Remember Olivia. We learn Karate..."

"...in hopes, we never have to use it."

With a sigh, she rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock. Midnight.

"Fine, I'll give you both a ride there and back, you freeloaders."

"Hey, why don't you two just spend the night at my house? We can have an Avengers marathon," Demetri replied. Eli smiled from behind his screen, thankful that his friend of the opposite sex would at least be present.

November 15, 2017

"Why did I let you talk me into this?" Demetri whined to his friend as Olivia stood with them next to the mat, not daring to take her shoes off. "This goes against everything I stand for. It's like extra gym class for no reason!"

"Maybe you need it, Everest. Your arms are getting a little flabby," Olivia commented, smacking his arm lightly. Demetri shoved her arm away from him and rubbed where she hit, "oww!"

Eli rolled his eyes at his friends, "Let's just give it a chance. You saw the fight. Miguel kicked ass."

The brunette snickered at her friend, going in for another smack. She opened her mouth with an insult on her lips.

"De-"

"QUIET!"

'That is my cue to sit my ass down on the folding metal chairs up front.' The young girl abandoned her friends to the wolves and sat on one of the chairs by the window.

'Or should I say snakes?'

"Nice shirt." Since Lawrence told Demetri, who responded with a happy, "thanks."

"I'm joking. It sucks." Olivia took a sharp breath in from her nose to keep from laughing and held her breath. "My God, makes me feel like a virgin just looking at you."

A slight noise escaped her throat as she realized she was dangerously close to laughing her guts out in the middle of the tense atmosphere being built by the blonde man.

'I need to get out of here.'

Slowly Olivia tried to shuffle her way out.

"I see losers. I see nerds. I see-"

It was going great until she knocked down the folding chairs, creating a loud bang.

"Who the hell are you?"

Closing her eyes and trying to disappear for a few moments, she felt Johnny Lawrence approach her.

'Fuck, fuck. FuCK.'

"I said who the fuck are you?" Johnny bit at the girl who was trying to escape, "look at me!"

Looking up, she saw the face of her friends' worried expression. Except for Miguel, who looked like he was trying not to laugh at her misfortune.

Looking at the blond man, his eyes widened, "Holy shit, it's Knuckles. Are you trying to quit already?"

"I uh, I never started," she stammered out, "I'm just my friend's ride."

Johnny narrowed his eyes at the girl, "that's a pussy move."

"Well, I do have one, so..."

Miguel made a sound from his throat, trying not to lose his shit.

"Get out."

"On my way!"

Hurrying her ass out of the dojo, the brunette knocked down some water bottles and tripped on a pair of sneakers. "Maybe you should invest in some lockers."

"OUT!" Johnny pointed at the door as he shouted.

"Aye aye, captain!" She saluted and ran out of the door, taking in a deep breath when she made it to the safety of her car and decided to wait for her friends.

'Yeah, that was a thing that happened...'

She shifted uncomfortably in her car.

'Why did I kinda like the yelling...what a fucking DILF..."

...

A/N: Dude, Johnny is a fine aged wine. Love that man.
