Olivia's Car

"Yeah, then he goes 'yeah, you the one with freaky lip' and I'm like, 'what the fuck?' Poor Eli over there is going bonkers at the embarrassment. And then Alisha is like 'Sensei Lawrence,' and I'm like 'whatever!'" Demetri recounts to Olivia dramatically what happened in the dojo as she drives to his house.
"You don't have to worry about taking me back to that sweaty, feet-smelling, OSHA-nightmare anymore. I'm over it." Demetri huffed as he crossed his arms and looked out the window.
Olivia absorbed the story told to her in near-valley girl fashion.
"So, he knocked you on your ass, and you're giving up?"
The black-haired boy snapped his head at her and replied in shock, "did you not hear anything I said?! He made fun of us, of-of Eli! You can't just do that!"
"So, how are you going to fight back against Kyler and his thugs?" The Charlestonian inquired as she pulled into the Alexopoulos driveway, noticing Eli's increased silence.
Demetri scoffed as he opened his door, "It's called dialing 911 and telling the police!"
"I'll just call 911. I don't need Karate!"
"911, what's your emergency?
"P-please help me! My friend, we're trapped and-"
"Or I have Miguel for protection and intimidation."
"Why should I, when I have you to protect me?"
"Don't worry, I'll get us out of here."
"Help! Help me, oh God, HELP!"
'I wasn't strong enough...but maybe Miguel will be.'
Feeling a hand on her arm, Olivia shook her head to get back to the present and sent Eli a silent thank you. He just nodded and headed inside after Demetri. She grabbed her duffle bag tighter and sighed at the front door.
'Nothing good comes from Karate...'

"Do you still need a ride to the dojo, Eli?" Olivia asked before she bit into her bacon, "it's not a problem."
"Ugh, close your mouth when you chew, you nasty hobbit." Demetri's face scrunched up with disgust. Olivia just rolled her eyes and showed him the chewed-up food in her mouth "Yes, real mature, Liv."
"Y-yeah, if you don't mind," Eli responded with a small smile, "I can always just bike there."
"Again, it's not a problem. I like spending time with you guys."
Eli just smiled into his food; maybe dealing with Sensei Lawrence's verbal abuse would be worth the extra time with his friend.
"Never thought you'd be a hooker, Eli. Ow! What the heck, I'm already bruised!"
"Shut up, Everest, you're being rude!"

"What's in the bag?" Eli asked as he dropped his duffle bag in her backseat.
"Dead body," she answered immediately, "you game?"
The mouse-like boy blinked at her and nodded, "o-of course."
Olivia laughed loudly as they both got into the front, "this is why we are best friends, Eli." The mentioned teen smiled at his friend and chuckled with her.
"No, it's knitting stuff. I'm going to knit while I wait," Olivia thought for a moment, "wow, I just took mom friend to the next level."
Her eyebrows furrowed, "should I be worried?"
Eli snorted, "More like grandma-friend at this point," as she started the car.
"You take that back!"
At the abrupt stop, he responded back, "your crazy driving just proves my point."
"HEY!"
Eli just burst out into laughter.

Olivia took up shop on the metal seats by the window once more, setting her knitting bag at her feet and beginning her project. "Why don't you take your shoes off and go join Miguel on the mat, Eli? I'll be fine."
Eli nodded shyly, leaving her to be with his friend on the mat. He was already down one support system; Olivia would take all the yelling in the world so Eli could have someone on his side.
'Honestly, I would not mind the man yelling at me like that again...fucking DILF...'
The brunette shook the inappropriate thoughts from her head. She continued the stitch, watching the drama before her until she was noticed by Johnny again.
"You! What are you doing here, Knuckles? We don't do pussy girl shit in here," The sensei bit out, walking towards her.
Olivia nodded her head, "So, I hear you, b-but I don't want to leave my car running, and I did build your website, so..." she shrugged and continued her project.
The adult looked at Miguel sharply, "that's the nerd who made the website?" Miguel nodded at his sensei, "dude, what the hell? I was expecting braces, braids..."
Turning around, he went back to the front of the class, hollering out, "just don't spread your girly hobby germs onto my students!"
Rolling her eyes, she continued her mom friend's duties of being a silent support system.
...
"Even Lip's tougher than those guys!"
At that exclamation, Olivia narrowed her eyes at the man upfront and gripped her needles like an ice pick. She was not above stabbing the creep.
As the sensei continued to bully her friend, she found herself getting angrier and prouder. Eli was sticking up for himself more than he ever did before.
"The doctor said I could be on the spectrum."
"Then get the hell off of it."
If Olivia wasn't so angry at the blond jerk, she would have wheezed at the joke. All she could do was watch the dumpster fire in front of her.
"I was born with a cleft lip."
Heart pounding, Olivia watched as Johnny uttered his last insult at the mouse-like boy and almost cried. As he ran off the mat to gather his things, she packed up her own shit. As he stormed out of the door, she followed. Before she left, she turned around and caught the DILF's eyes.
"You and Mondays are just the same - nobody likes you!"
With that, she left the dojo, following her tortured friend.

Olivia's Car

The car ride was silent as she drove her friend back to his home. Olivia wasn't sure what to say or anything she could say. As she pulled into the driveway, she took a deep breath and decided to at least try.
"Look, Eli. I wouldn't worry about what that asshole said. You're not-"
"A freak?" Eli whispered harshly, "Yeah. And you don't think you're a freak for your own scar, huh?" The boy snorted as he got out of the car. Leaning down into the car, he made eye contact with his shell-shocked friend.
"Stop being a fucking hypocrite. You can hide what makes you a freak. I-I can't. Stop trying to tell me that I'm perfect the way I am 'cause I'm fucking not. J-Just fuck off and leave me alone!" With that, Eli slammed the car door shut and stormed inside his home.
In horror, Olivia looked at the house the teenager stormed into.
"God, you're such a hypocrite, Olivia!"
"Stop acting like you're better than everyone because you take Karate!"
'Nothing good comes from Karate.'

LaRusso Household
November 17, 2017
Olivia knocked on her neighbor's door, having been invited over for dinner since her dad was staying late after a Major Cyber Attack on his company. Amanda answered the door and smiled at the young girl.
"Olivia, it is so good to see you!" Exclaimed the mother, pulling her into a tight hug. "You've been a stranger for too long." Amanda pulled the girl into the home and led her to the kitchen.
"Dinner is ready; we're going to be eating informal today, so go ahead and make a plate. Anthony is upstairs as usual."
"Where's Samantha and Mr. LaRusso?" Olivia asked curiously as she made herself a plate of delicious food.
"Samantha's upstairs too, and Daniel is in the room by the pool, I believe." Amanda rolled her shoulders and cracked her neck, "Listen, I'm going to go upstairs and get ready for bed. As usual, you are welcome to stay as long as you'd like, even if-"
"-I need to spend the night," the teen smiled gratefully, "Thank you, Mrs. LaRusso. I'll wash my plate when I'm done." After Amanda gave another firm hug, she left the girl alone to eat.
Once she was done eating, Olivia went to say hello to Mr. LaRusso.
"It's called kata, the foundation of my Karate."
"It's cool."
'Huh, weird...' Olivia stepped into the room where she could hear the conversation coming from, and her eyes widened at the sight.
'A-are you kidding me? Why is there Karate literally everywhere in this town! It's like an invasive species at this point.'
"Olivia? Is that you, kiddo?" Danny spotted the girl as he invited Robby to learn Karate from him, "is your dad on a trip again?"
"No, sir, Mr. LaRusso. There was an intense data breach at his company, so he's staying late for clean up," she responded as she walked closer to the two guys. She stopped at the magazine on the bench and picked it up. Robby quickly looked away in embarrassment while Daniel snatched the offending thing away.
Cheeks red at what was just in her hands, she ignored the interaction and turned towards the unfamiliar boy. Smiling, she stuck out her hand.
"Hi, I'm Olivia Reynolds. I live across the street."
Daniel LaRusso looked at the girl as he remembered first meeting her two years ago. The shy, stuttering young girl really grew out of her shell, and he was proud of her.
"Robby Keane, I work for Mr. LaRusso." Robby took the other teenager's hand and graced her with a smile. Her heart skipped a beat.
'DILFs and hot guys my age...my day...'
"Miss Reynolds, we were about to practice some Karate if you're interested!" Daniel said with excitement. "I would love to have you join us."
Olivia took a moment and considered it. 'Hot guy my age..."
A flash of Eli's angry face and the sound of a door slam entered her mind as she winced.
"N-not today, Mr. LaRusso. I've got a lot of work to do. I just wanted to come to say hi before I left." The adult in the room nodded in understanding.
"That's alright, just remember the offer is always open!"
"Thanks, Mr. LaRusso; I appreciate it." She turned to Robby and nodded, "It's nice to meet you, Robby. See you around?"
The long-haired boy nodded, his heart jumping at her smile, "Y-yeah, see you around."
As the girl left, Danny LaRusso raised an eyebrow at his future protege.
...
Olivia wondered if Eli was okay...
"What happened to you?"
Maybe she should give him a call...
"I'm flipping the script."
H-hi, you've reached Eli Moskowitz...
"Hawk."
Olive: You don't need to be someone you're not to be confident.
"Fall in."
Seen.
