Olivia was helping clean up after dinner with the LaRusso's when she noticed the commotion outside. Wringing out the towel, she laid it on the sink before walking outside to see what was going on. The last thing she expected to see was her friend's sensei staring angrily at her neighbor.
"All you LaRussos are the same," she heard Johnny spat. "Your whole family, man, is rotten to the core."
Eyes widened in surprise, the girl continued making her way to the poolside, walking up next to Anthony and whispering, "what's going on?"
The little ant shrugged at his friend and whispered back, "this random dude just barged in and started yelling at dad."
Anthony cupped his hands over his mouth, "Kick his ass, Dad!"
Daniel LaRusso responded quickly with frustration, "Anthony, go inside!"
Anthony stayed where he was, ready to watch his dad kick some proper ass. At the same time, Olivia stood next to him awkwardly, unsure what to do.
"Knuckles, what the hell are you doing here?" Johnny asked in frustration, "Don't tell me you're a LaRusso, too?" He pointed at the young girl. Danny slapped Johnny's hand from pointing at his neighbor's daughter with anger.
"Don't you talk to her, leave her out of this," Daniel warned, while Olivia opened her mouth to plead her case.
'Not that there really is a case. He's not my sensei...' Olivia grumbled in her head. The brunette sighed in relief as she noticed Amanda entered the situation and deescalated everything. 'God, what a MILF..."
...
Sitting at the island with Johnny Lawrence was like sitting at a table with a predator.
"... I'm not a LaRusso, y'know," Olivia muttered as she stabbed at her food. Looking out of her eyelashes, she glanced at Johnny, "My name is Olivia Reynolds, jerkwad."
Johnny rolled his eyes at the mouse-like girl. "I don't really care who you are, Knuckles. Just that you're wasting your-"
Olivia slid out from the island quickly, cutting off the blond, and ran over to the sink to clean her plate.
Rolling his eyes, "When are you going to stop being such a pussy and grow a pair, Reynolds? Whatever you're hiding from, it's just going to keep haunting you until you face it." Stabbing his fork at the girl, he continued, "the world doesn't revolve around you, kiddo. Stop cowering and face it."
Olivia stared at the older man in shock. The words sliced through her harshly, and it was hard to stop the tears. Passing by the LaRusso parents, she muttered goodbye and ran home.
After exchanging worried looks with his wife, Daniel quickly hurried after the girl and stopped her outside his house, "Liv, what's wrong? What did he do?"
The young teen just shook her head, wiping her tears as she sobbed, "H-he's right, Mr. LaRusso, I'm w-weak." She burst out, shaking her head and running out of the yard and to her own silent home.
Danny closed his eyes and counted to 10, a wave of new anger born towards his childhood rival.

Once again alone, Olivia looked at herself in the mirror of her bathroom, breathing heavily and wheezing. The inhaler only did so much to stop the heaves in her chest and the darkening vision. The brunette slammed into the wall of her bathroom as sobs wrecking through her chest.
The memories of a not-so-distant past slammed into her mind as she was sucked into the past.

"Listen, Liv. I know that Karate is really important to you, but I quit years ago, and I'm okay with that! Not all of us can be the two-time junior high champ," the redhead bumped her shoulder playfully into the brunette beside her. "Don't worry about me."
Olivia rolled her eyes as she hiked further into the woods near her house, "Rachael, I know that you are happy. I just wish you hadn't quit. We could both be kick-ass ladies of the fist." Showing off, she did a quick technique to the air ending with a front flip in front of her red-haired friend.
Rachael scoffed, pushing her childhood best friend out of the way, causing the shorter girl to lose balance and fall on her butt. "Still shit on your balance, I see." Rachael called out as she continued down the path, "you know, you should take some dance classes with me."
The redhead jumped up on a rock and showed her graceful pointe skills.
Pushing herself up, Olivia brushed off the dirt and rocks on her person, "yeah, yeah, Shirley Temple. You keep showing off without your fancy-dance shoes, and you'll break your toes before the recital next month."
Rachael hopped off the rock and laughed at her friend while grabbing her and leading her down the path. Giggling over stupid school stories, the two walked on for another hour before taking a small break by the pond in the middle of the woods. Olivia's head shot up as she heard another snap nearby.
Rachael rolled her eyes, "you look like my german shepherd, Liv. There's nothing there, so stop being so paranoid." She took off her shoes, set them aside, and put her feet in the pond. Sighing at the cool water, she closed her eyes and leaned back, "I can't believe we start high school next year."
"Me either," commented Olivia as she kept looking into the woods for whatever was making noise. "From first grade to eighth, we've made it this far." Deciding that it must have been a deer or animal running away, she walked towards her freckled friend and sat with her legs crossed.
Closing her eyes, she meditated on the past few years of her life, focusing on the sounds of the forest around here.
'Something isn't right...' Olivia opened her eyes and narrowed them across the pond.
"Rachael, I think we should go... Something isn't right." The brunette got up slowly, scanning the tree line. She had spent most of her life training her instincts; the short girl wasn't going to ignore them now. "Come on, let's-"
A loud whistle stopped her mid-sentence and sent a cold wave of fear through her veins. Turning around, she noticed a small group of older teenagers coming out of the tree line. Olivia grabbed onto Rachael and shoved the redhead behind her. Shoes and socks forgotten on the grass, the two pushed back to get space between them.
"Hey there, girls," the tallest one purred out as they stopped in front of the two. "What's going on?" He shoved his hands in his pockets as the teens around him snickered.
Olivia's eyes narrowed, "We're just leaving." She started guiding her friend to the treeline, "It's great to meet you, but we don't have time to talk."
"What's the rush, ladies? We just wanted to talk to you, get to know you beautiful young women..." the blonde on the left snickered out, his eyes following their bodies slowly.
Rachael whimpered and took another step back, her grip on her friend's arms tightening. Olivia scoffed in disgust, "We're in middle school, you freaking creep. Leave us alone."
The brunette guided her friend to the woods, whispering, "as soon as we step past that pine, we run. Don't fucking look back; just run. Get back on the path, and no matter what, don't stop."
Rachael nodded shakily, hearing the inappropriate comments of the teens following them.
"They're drunk, Rache. We can outrun them. Use those ballet skills and run."
"Where you going, ladies? We just want to play."
"Fuck it...GO!"
The two friends took off, Rachael taking the lead as they dodged trees and bushes. The teenagers behind them laughed in delight.
"God, I love a good chase!"
"You're three hours into the woods, sluts! No one can hear you! No one can find you!"
Rachael let out a sob, and Olivia forced her own tears not to fall. "Keep fucking running, Rachael! Don't stop!" Crying harder, snot flew out of the taller girl's nose as the situation hit hard.
"I-I-I c-c-can-"
"D-don't finish," Olive hissed out, panting heavily. "...that sentence!" Taking in her surroundings, Olivia noticed a large tree coming up. 'Rachael needs a break...hell, I need a break...'
"Head to that tree. We can take a small break." The two best friends did their best to be quiet as they panted and wheezed. After quieting down, the two looked around the tree line.
"Think we lost them?" Rachael panted out, "t-they were p-pretty slow."
Olivia shook her head, "better safe than sorry. We should continue running." Eyeing her best friend, she made a choice, "Rachael, r-"
Rachael's eyes widened as a figure appeared behind Olivia.
The brunette cried out in shock as she was hit over the head with a stick. Falling onto one knee, she gripped the back of her head and hissed. Looking at her hand, she saw red cover her fingers. She was kicked onto her side, falling harshly onto the ground. Yelling out in anger, the brunette sent a kick out behind her and jumped on her feet.
Hearing the blond hit the floor, she threw a punch at another teen, cracking the jerk's nose. Listening to the wails of the teens, the petite girl turned to the tallest of the trio, settling back into a guarded stance. Her guard dropped slightly as she saw her red friend in a chokehold.
In her hesitation, Demon 1 shoved Olivia to her knees, her face filled with horror at the sight of her friend's terror.
"Nowhere to run now, girls," the tallest devil snickered. "Why don't we all introduce ourselves. I am-"
"Go fuck yourself, you fucking fuck!" Olivia yelled out, trying to get up, only to be held down by the two other demons.
Tuning out the villain's speech, Olivia made eye contact with her friend, watching the terror build in the once soft brown eyes.
'I'm going to get us out of this,' Olivia thought, begging for Rachael to understand. 'I promise...'
"... that's where you two come in. Y-" Rolling her eyes, Olivia yawned loudly.
"God, get to the point or cancel my fucking subscription. You really do like your own voice, huh, you gangly motherfucker?"
Growling, the tall devil pushed her friend on the ground and stalked over to the brunette. Olivia cried out in pain as he yanked on the ponytail, "Now you listen here, you little-" Pausing for a second, he used the ponytail to move her face around and examined the anger on the sweat ridden face.
"Wait, I know you. You're that chick from the Karate tournament..." Thinking for a moment, the face clicked to a name.
Throwing her down to the ground with a spiteful laugh, "Olivia fucking Reynolds. East coast champion, two years running." He mocked her. The boot on her back was harsh as she yelled out. "You're the reason my little brother lost last year. He cried because of you."
"I fought lots of people, bozo. You think I remember who your dweeb of a brother is?" Olivia spat out, "I hope he's nothing like his dick of a brother."
Moving away from the girl, the devil in disguise snorted, "that's fine. I can get my revenge without you remembering." Lifting his leg up to stomp on the brunette.
"Actually, I don't need you to remember anything."
Olivia quickly rolled out of the way and hopped onto her feet, pushing herself to move past the pain. Blocking the wild punch coming her way, she sent a roundhouse to Demon 1's head and grabbed Demon 2's punch. Drawing his momentum closer, she shoved him into the tree with the palm of her hand to his chin. Hearing a yell of anger, she turned around to see the devil in charge rushing her. Making a choice, she ran towards a tree, running up it and sending a punch to the back of his head as she flipped behind him.
Panting, Olivia didn't stop as she ran to her shaking friend, pulling her up. "Run, run, fucking RUN!" Pulling her along, she listened to the three hell spawn running after them, mixing with the sobs spilling from the lips of her friend. The brunette didn't miss the dirt mixed with blood on her friend's feet but couldn't think of-.
Stopping quickly, she looked at her friend seriously while pulling off her own shoes, leaving the socks. "Put 'em now, now!" She aggressively got down and forced the boots on the shaking friend's feet. Hearing the shouts of the angered teens, she got up and grabbed the redhead by the shoulders, and shook her.
"Listen, Rachael, you fucking dance queen. You got to run. There's no way we can both keep running." Digging their blubbering friend's pocket, she pulled out the blue phone. "I can take him down, Rachael, trust me!"
"Your phone, remember? 'My momma taught me to call 911,' well, now's your time to shine, princess. Run, call 911, tell them to get the fuck over here." Olivia made the redhead dial 911 before shoving her forwards. Rachael looked hesitant at the phone and back to her friend, "b-but-"
Screaming out in frustration, Olivia pushed her friend, "We're best friends, you nerd! Just GO!" Tears filled her eyes, and she turned around towards the sound of the drunk devils.
"No, I-I can't just..."
"GO!"
The redhead bolted in tears, pressing the green button. Every part of her mind, body, and soul felt like it had gone through a meat grinder.
"911, what's your emergency?" Swallowing her cries and channeling her friend's bravery, Rachael started to tell the man on the other end of the teens behind her.
"P-please help me! My friend, we're trapped and-"
