A/N: Alright. Perhaps I was a bit to disorganised in the last chapter. Do not worry, I will try to do my best in this chapter. Speaking of which, let's get started then.
Disclaimer: I do not own Akame Ga Kill and Madness Combat. They belong to their rightful and respectful owners.
Esdeath hit play button on the remote to play the last episode before she and everyone proceeded to go to sleep. It was going to be quite busy tomorrow as they were taking notes from watching the first three episodes of Madness Combat.
"Madness Combat 3: Avenger" Is shown on the black screen. The last word was coloured in grey
HE WAS GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE...
Sheele blinked at what she was seeing at the screen. This made her tilt her head in confusion. "Hank's given a second chance?"
"How come he was given a second chance in the first place?" Mine asked the exact same question as the purple-haired airhead.
Akame could answer those two questions. "Maybe he had to tie up loose ends."
Leone had to agree with her. This was starting to give her a headache. "Damn. Being resurrected to do that."
Esdeath just really wanted Hank to kill the Sheriff as brutally as he could. She was starting to find the talking about what was to come to be time consuming. "The sooner we watch the episode, the sooner we get our answer soon."
Some people like Najenda knew that watching the episode would not get the exact answer. But all of them knew was that Esdeath wanted to watch the episode so badly. So all of them decided to not talk about the topic and they continued watching the episode.
SOMEWHERE IN NEVADA
*Madness Combat 3 Soundtrack: Mmodule – Splitmek starts playing*
The scene cuts to two grunts guard on each side to where the door was for the building. A small crack was present. A tree can be seen in the background. One of the guards was having a smoke break before he proceeded to press the button, which opened the door to open. Allowing him access to the inside of the building.
Leone knew what was about to happen to the guard who was smoking in the room. "Something tells me that this guy is about to be the first person that Hank is about to kill."
"Yeah, seems like it." Najedna agreed with her subordinate. Now that she thought about smoking, she was considering of quitting it. Not because it was bad, but because it may lead her to a brutal demise.
The screen cuts to the guard's face, where he put the cigarette in his mouth and continued walking. Unknowingly, the air vent on top of him opened to reveal Hank, who now has a bandage wrapped around the top of his head. Quickly, he stabs the unaware guard with his two knives.
Some of the groups were taking some notes upon seeing this. Lubbock spoke up to the rest, "Something tells me that his…actions may be useful to our future operations."
Tatsumi nodded in acknowledgement. "Yeah, it will be, Lubb."
A grunt then enters the room but was quickly dispersed by Hank who threw one of his knives at his head. Another came in and Hank quickly threw his remaining knife at his stomach.
"Throwing knives may not be practical. But it is useful when you are either in stealth missions or you have the skill to do such a thing." Akame observed the scene.
"You really are liking this. Huh, Akame?" Leone questioned her best friend.
Her friend replied back with a smile on her face. "More like analysing."
Picking up the recent deceased grunt's AK, Hank proceeded to go to the next room where he immediately stabs a grunt that was near to where he entered. Without letting his guard down, Hank then throws his two knives at the two that were present in the room. Right now, he has killed a total of six. Well, more like five since one was knocked out.
Three more grunts enter the room, Hank kills them all with his rifle. Another one flips the table to use as cover but was unfortunately crushed when Hank jumps on the table. He has got the height advantage and shoots most of the grunts that entered the room easily.
Some of the people were liking what they were seeing. Lubbock was one of them. "Damn. He's making our work look way more badass!"
"We better take notes then." Mine sardonically stated. She was not surprised that some of them were taking notes from watching this series.
Realising that hank was out of ammunition as he pulled the trigger, he then throws it at one of the grunts coming into the room.
"Does that seem practical?" Tatsumi asked some members who were former members of the military.
"No. it's not." Najenda answered her subordinate's question.
Although she was right with that, one of the members did see something to it. Wave was the one who spoke with regards to that topic, "Well, it depends on the type of weapon really. Whether it's an axe, a gun with a bayonet attached to it, or basically any sort of stabbing weapon."
"That's a pragmatic you put down. Eh?" Chelsea asked in a curious tone.
Kurome giggled at her response. "Well, that's what Wave is." This made said boy lightly chuckle at her comment.
Going down the table, Hank picks up two of his knives and proceeded to slash and stab a wave of multiple grunts coming from the room. Near at the end, he throws two of his knives towards two enemies coming from the front and back and proceeded to throw a few punches to the final enemy. Upon seeing that they are all dead, Hank then picks up an axe and continues forward to where the Sheriff was.
Seeing the weapon that Hank has brought some thoughts to some of the people. "An axe huh?" Tatsumi said.
Hearing what her darling had said, Esdeath had a thought on her old subordinate. She has to admit that she really missed the Three Beasts being with her right now. "I wonder how the three are doing right now?"
"An axe? Does anyone get a feeling of the Imperial Arm, Belvaac right now?" Lubbock asked all of a sudden.
"Yep." Some of them nodded in acknowledgement.
"Let's continue watching the episode, okay?" Mine said as she did not want to waste any more time talking about things.
The scene then cuts to a hallway, where a CCTV is present. Hank then proceeds to axe two grunts before throwing it to the grunt that came around the corner. Now unarmed, Hank readies himself with his first as another grunt with a baton enters the room. He proceeds to throw a few punches before uppercutting him and picks up a sword and stabs all of the enemies entering the room. Fir the last three remaining enemies, Hank slashes the first from the chest to the face. Then he knocks the second one with the baton and stabs him in the head with the sword. Finally, Hank then proceeds to throw the Baton towards the head who was about to shoot Hank with his pistol.
Night Raid was becoming a bit weary of Hank. All saw that he took them all down without breaking a sweat and that he was very dangerous to face with. Tatsumi was doubting about how he thinks he can defeat Hank. "Okay. Perhaps I underestimated him."
"Remind me of avoiding him if he ever comes to our world." Wave uttered after he let out a small gulp.
With all of the enemies now dead, Hank then looks directly at the CCTV. It was as if he knows who was watching him.
"Wait? Who was watching him?" Sheele asked in curiosity before getting her question immediately answered.
*Changes to Madness Combat 3 Soundtrack: Cheshyre – Calliope*
The scene then cuts to the Sheriff, who was watching Hank through a control panel. Jesus can be seen standing nearby.
"Well, what do you know?" Mine said as if she was unsurprised by this.
"Do you think that Hank could kill the Sheriff this time?" Cosmina asked some of them in curiosity.
"I doubt it." Lubbock immediately answered her question.
Akame then countered the green haired boy's answer with her own prediction. "Maybe he would. Albeit with a few injuries."
Knowing how swiftly Hank is progressing into his position, the Sheriff then thought about one last thing. He flips a panel around the machine and presses a red button that was labelled as "IMPROBABILITY DRIVE."
Seeing that word brought everyone's attention. All asked the same question in their heads, "What's an Improbability Drive?"Unknown to all of them, they were about to witness a device that can mess with reality.
The scene then cuts back to where Hank was at, He then attacks a grunt wielding an axe from behind, which sent him flying around the room and starts bouncing off the wall.
Mine blinked at this as she was starting to become confused to what she was seeing right now. "What the hell is going on?"
Another grunt is sent flying into the room and quickly gets up to his feet. Hank picks up a baseball bat and knocks one grunt to the ceiling and knocks another one out. A strange electrical then cuts the room in half, which Hank knocks one of them to the abyss.
"Can somebody please tell me what the hell is going on?!" The pinkette asked as she and a few others were very confused to what was happening right now.
Susanoo was flickering through the guidebook and came to a stop. The reason was that it had something that was important within the series. "What we are seeing right know is the effects of an Improbability Drive. A device than can cause mass confusion and distort reality."
"Wait WHAT?!" All of them, including Esdeath, shouted upon hearing what the human Imperial Arm had to say.
"A device than can bend reality. How interesting," Stylish commented with a bit of curiosity.
Dorothea pictured what an improbability could do to their world. She wondered if Delta and Fives have the instruction to create such a thing. "I wonder if the two would have a schematic of those improbability drive?"
Killing all of the grunts, a familiar clown with a jetpack then appears from the abyss. Welding an M60 which was pointed at Hank.
Like last time of seeing this clown, Run just closed his eyes. "That guy? Again?"
Mine had the same reaction has the former teacher. Albeit for a different reason. "That Tricky guy is alive?!"
"How is that even alive once again?!" Wave asked. His tone was that of both shock and surprise.
Bulat may have an idea of how the clown was resurrected in the first place. "Maybe he was revived for the same purpose as hank."
Akame was unsure about that. "Or he wants to toy with Hank." Hearing that made some of them, especially Run, shudder at that thought.
Hank then uses a grunt as a meat shield until Tricky runs out of ammunition. He then flies off screen, which gives Hank the opportunity to pick up and MP5K. He readies himself for the next attack. Unfortunately, Tricky simply flies around the room to pop out of the door behind Hank, knocking him into the abyss. a subliminal message appears: "Don't Blink" before disappearing.
"Did anyone catch what quickly flashed in screen?" Tatsumi asked as he didn't have enough time to see what the two words meant.
"I think it said, 'don't blink' as vaguely as I could see." Leone answered his question.
"Just continue watching," Chelsea reminded the two as she would want to see how it wants to end.
The scene then cuts to Hank falling down on a street as the background was dark as the night sky. Not far from him, a building that was labelled 'The Bakery!' was seen. He stood up and saw that three were in front of him and four behind him.
"let's see how he handles this situation?" Esdeath commented as she could not wait to see more carnage.
Hank then takes them all out by shooting at them, beating, and ripping one of the enemies' head clean off as the sun comes up and falling marshmallows and whales could be seen happening in the background…
Mine sighed at what she was seeing right now. These Improbability Drive device was really starting to take a toll on her mind. "I say that I'm glad that the Empire do not have such a thing in their arsenal right now."
"Yeah, me too." Leone nodded in agreement.
Hank avoids a Marshmallow that was about to crush him, which crushed multiple dead bodies instead. Pulling out a street sign and slays few more grunts. The sun then sprouts out a body…
"Huh?" Lubbock uttered in total confusion.
"What the…?" Both Leone and Chelsea uttered as they saw the sun that has got a body.
"The Improbability is doing this. Isn't it?" Mine could tell as this was giving them a headache.
"I think we should continue this after tomorrow's activity." Najenda suggested as she puffed out smoke to ease the stress. Seeing this series question her why the Engineer liked this kind of series. Maybe because there some backstory behind this.
Either way, all of them continued to watch the episode to see where this would end up towards.
Unluckily, the sun proved to be ill-effective as Hank literally kills it. This resulted in the sky darkening in the process.
"Hank really killed the sun, huh?" Leone questioned.
At that moment, the leader of Night Raid then thought of a pun to make. "Perhaps Hank was to—"
"Don't even think of completing it!" Everyone immediately interrupted her.
Najenda was a bit sadden to hear this from everyone. Even though what she was about to say was good, she knew that none of them did not want to hear that joke after she joked on decapitations. "Alright, I won't finish it off."
"Good." Everyone said in their heads as they continued watching the episode.
Shortly after killing the sun, Tricky appears once again wielding a scimitar. Before he could do anything to Hank, he got impaled by him onto the Marshmallow with the street sign.
Seeing this made Run relived. The clown is now dead, and he was very much happy about it. "I am glad that he is dead."
"I wouldn't say that, Run." Wave said as he could tell that something was about to happen.
As Hank walks away with a knife on his hand, a lightning emits around Tricky. This resulted into reviving him as a zombie and immediately removes the street sign, to free himself and to use as a weapon.
Run lightly growled at this. If an alive clown wasn't bad enough, maybe an undead one will take the case. "I seriously cannot look at this right now."
"Try to take a deep breathe and perhaps you will not think about bad things about clowns." Esdeath advised her subordinate. Run did just that and was feeling quite better, even though he still harbours hatred towards clowns.
"Maybe I am starting to think that—" Leone was about to say but was stopped. She looked over at Akame and gave her that look. Knowing what this meant, the blonde then opted to keep her mouth shut for the sake of the former teacher's tolerance with clowns.
The scene then cuts to Hank throwing the knife towards a grunt wearing sunglasses who was about to shoot Hank. The two, one with a knife and the other with a baton, runs up towards Hank where they are quickly disarmed and knocked out. Hank then picks up the baton and knocks out two more before being tackled to the ground by an unarmed grunt. Getting up to his feet, Hank quickly looks at the unarmed grunt and turns to see two armed grunts with knives and an axe.
"Go to the one that's unarmed." Tatsumi said.
"Uh, dude. I think Hank may know that by know." Lubbock reminded his friend.
Hank goes to the unarmed Guy first who he then punches be he received an axe to the face. Hank knocks down the enemy who was wielding an axe before avoiding a knife being thrown by another enemy which killed another one wielding a scoped AUG. Hank then grabs the AUG and begins to shoot at the enemies. A wall then appears out of nowhere and entraps Hank and the dead bodies. One dead enemy can be seen being cut in half.
"I see now why this is called Madness Combat." Mine sarcastically acknowledges. This has to be one brain teaser episode for her and the others to bare witness to.
"Madness is happening while in Combat." Najenda unwittingly joked, causing some to either groan or facepalm at her response.
Despite the series being a bit of a brainteaser, Wave could see a good reason why. "I think it has to do with the art style of this show."
"You bet." Some of the audience like Leone, Lubbock, and Tatsumi sardonically replied in a quiet tone.
Ducking to the ground to avoid a swing, Hank then fired five shots at an enemy wielding a longsword, three of which was blocked and two went to the skull. He hit another enemy that has dropped down with the buttstock of the AUG before knocking another one who was wielding a baseball bat and fired a shot on top of the final enemy's head. Blood then started to spurt out and was spilled onto the ground.
Everyone, apart from Esdeath, was shocked at the amount of blood that was spilled into the ground. "I am aware that some of us had done such a thing. But this takes it to another level." Mine admitted.
"Yeah, that makes our kills less brutal," Leone added.
Esdeath saw the amount of blood that was being poured out. She has never been so excited in seeing such a thing despite being a show. "I want to fight them if they come over here."
With the enemies all dead, the zombified Tricky then hovers down and pulls out the street sign that Hank used to impale him. Speaking of which, the protagonist then fired multiple shots at him with one going straight onto the middle of his face to no avail. Realising that Hank was out of ammunition, he waited for a few second for the undead clown to come near to him with the street sign. It was useful to the protagonist as he manages to yank it off from Tricky and threw a few punches.
"Please kill him even though he is going to get revived soon." Run prayed as she did not want to see
As if he could allow Tricky to do anything, Hank then picks up a Deagle and proceeds to shoot the undead clown multiple times before he drops dead to the ground.
The former teach was relieved that Tricky was now dead. Despite knowing that he was going to be resurrected, he was glad that the clown was no longer an obstacle to Hank. "I can feel the euphoria of Hank killing that clown. I wish he did that to that one who killed my students."
Wave saw how his teammate was reacting right now. Seeing him like this made him smile for an obvious reason. "I guess he wish that Hank would do the same to that serial child-rapist. Which reminds me, how would Syura fair in a fight with him?" That thought would have terrified him despite the Prime Minister being an unforgiving person.
With the clown now dead, Hank looks around to figure out where to go. A question mark appears on top of his head before disappearing. Then, Jebus then drops down and resurrects five dead grunts to get Hank. The protagonist easily deals with them with an axe he picked up from the floor. He slashed two zombies before decapitating another and threw it to the fourth enemy. The zombie with a huge bullet hole on his head received punches from Hank before being finished off by multiple shots. Some blood was splattered on Jebus's face before he wiped it off. Hank was now ready to
"What do you think is going to happen?" Sheele asked in curiosity.
"We will have to find out." Mine answered the airhead's question.
It cuts to Hank being thrown into another room where a grunt was a near a vending machine. Hank discards his weapon and punches the enemy a few times before twisting his neck.
"Damn, Hank! You are not giving your enemies a chance, huh?" Leone commented as she took a few notes in her head to learn after watching this episode.
"Coming from one who likes to get into trouble a lot," Najenda added. This caused the blonde to sigh silently at this.
Two grunts enter the room, one with a knife and the other with a Tec-9. The one with the knife throws it towards Hank, but he manages to catch it and threw it to the other enemy. The first enemy picks up Hank's discarded Desert Eagle and attempts to fire, only to find out it's empty. Hank immediately tosses him towards the vending machine and kills him by throwing the gun at him.
Seeing how Hank simply kills a person jut by throwing an empty gun at him brought some thought to the members of Night Raid. But seeing some marshmallows and whales falling down from the sky already thought an answer to all of them.
"When is this episode going to finish?" Chelsea wondered as she felt her legs getting stiff from sitting on the couch for long.
Jesus swoops in through the hole and turns two of the three corpses into zombies. Hank picks up a Tec-9 to kill one of the zombies before finishing the last zombie with the same throwing knife. He then shoots Jesus after dodging his swing with his binary sword, who teleports away to patch up from his injuries.
Esdeath just lightly growled at this. Hime teleporting away? Now that was a sign of weakness in her eyes. "What a pathetic being."
"He perhaps knew how dangerous Hank was," Run informed his leader as he was justifying why the holy figure did a thing.
"Yeah, stop judging with that view crap," Mine uttered quietly as she did not want to receive an icicle coming to her face.
Some were interested with the sword that the Holy Figure was wielding right now. "Wonder what that sword is?"
"According to the book, that is a binary sword," Susanoo informed the group as he read it off from the guidebook.
"That's doesn't sound like a special sword." Some of the thought as they heard the weapon's name.
Hank then gets back up to his feet, he goes to the next room. There, he finally finds the Sheriff next to the Improbability Drive console.
The two scientists were eying on the console. Stylish quickly drew the sketch on the Improbability Drive while Dorothea had a thought on it. "So that's the Improbability Drive? It looks simple."
"Looks can be deceiving," Najenda said in her head. She can already imagine the two scientists making some sketches for future references. She knew that they can't create such a thing without the right materials. Only of the two were here right now.
Knowing that Hank was here, he retreats to the next room. Hank then kills the enemies that are entering the room with the last one getting shot in the head by a shotgun. Now armed with a deadly weapon, Hank enters the final room and kills the last two bodyguards protecting the Sheriff. Pointing the barrel directly at the Sheriff's head, Hank was about to shoot…
"C'mon Hank! Don't make the same mistake as last time." Leone prayed as she did not want to see Hank dying as he had a chance of killing his target.
*Changes Madness Combat 3 Soundtrack: Sad Song Version 1 (Heaven in A Wild Flower) *
Jesus impales him from behind with a sword, now patched up from the wound earlier.
Everyone expected that to happen. Despite some being sad from seeing this, they knew that Hank was not quick enough to pull the trigger. "Damnit Hank!"
"You just had one thing to do! ONE THING!" Mine threw her arms ups into the air. She was disappointed that the protagonist was slow at his reaction time despite being a complete psychopath in combat.
Despite the mortal wound, Hank still has the strength to flip his shotgun around and shoots Jesus in the head, which creates a large dent onto his face. thrusting the impaled sword into the Sheriff and shooting him in turn creating the same dent onto his face. With his Sheriff now gone, Hank then drops dead as the background fades to black. The sword that was impaled onto him.
*Madness Combat Soundtrack Ends*
As the episode ends, some of the audience wiped a tear from their eyes as they found Hank's second death to be quite sad. "How tragic." Sheele said as she put her glasses back on.
"Yeah. I agree." Seyru and Bols nodded at her in understanding.
"Man, this episode of Madness Combat was way too confusing for me to say the least." Lubbock commented.
"I say, I didn't hear Esdeath moaning a lot this time." Wave stated before dodging an icicle attack that was sent from his leader.
"Would you want to say that again Wave?" She coldly asked him.
Najenda sighed as she puffed out smoke from her new cigarette. "Well then. We could watch some more Madness Combat if we have time tomorrow." All of them nodded and soon they continued with their lives.
With the knowledge of the series now in their minds, all of them wondered how it will affect them as well as the rest of the people within the Imperial Capital. Perhaps they might get their answers soon.
A/N; Well, I didn't expect this to get published a day before 2021 ends. That can explain the less reaction sentences happening as well. It has been a weird year for me and to finish it off with this reaction fanfic. Man, I sure come a long way and it's hard to believe that I only published this story ten days ago and now it's getting a bit popular. Anyway, other than that, lets get onto the review from the last chapter:
Zeroth17: I bet they will.
TheRedGoons/Guest: Um, I am sure that Hank was 6'2. But I am thankful that you are clarified by this information.
Geenan907: Thank you for sharing this information.
TheIncredibleCommentMachine: I will think of that. Honestly, I am not a fan of Left 4 Dead 2 sfm.
Ph0enix17: They are going to watch the fan series after Consternation. The reason is that this made Madness Combat popular in Newgrounds. I have to admit that Madness Combat is gaining a bit of popularity once again.
Now that wraps up the reviews. I will see you all next year. SEE YOU NEXT TIME AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
EDIT: I am going to take a break until I complete Apotheosis
