Disclaimer: I don't own any of Riordan, or Rowling's, characters and I'm making nothing from this.

To Child of Dreams: No, I didn't. Apollon is the Greek name for Artemis brother. The N was removed and that makes Apollo his Roman name. Riordan misspelled his name. Even modern day Hellenic Pagans will call him Apollon. has him written down as Apollon.

To CAD270895: The whole chapter covers their reaction to the fact that Artemis has a daughter. The reaction that the gods will have about Severus being Hades son will be much later.

To wanderingwitchelaine: Yeah, I know Snape was really bad in the books. Though Fanfiction can turn him into a very likable character, which is what he will be in this story. He goes through some serious changes in this story, mainly due to one thing that really ticks him off. And I'm not talking about the death of Lily Potter.

Chapter 4: Selene Gets Claimed

When Selene woke up she found herself on a hard floor. Last night Chiron, a centaur, had taken her to Hermes cabin so that she could rest from her long journey. She didn't tell them how she had managed to get there. She didn't know much about Hermes, but what she did know was that he was patron over everyone that used the roads. She had to wait her turn to shower and changed into an orange Camp Half-Blood tee shirt and a pair of pants that a daughter of Hermes had stolen from another camper.

She really hoped that the girl didn't realize that she was wearing her jeans.

Breakfast was an odd thing. All around her everyone was talking about Percy fighting that monster, though they never gave the name. She was glad that her description wasn't mentioned either. After breakfast she was given a list of activities that she could sign up for. She chose Archery, Greek Language, and healing. Also known as spending time with the Apollon children in the med tent. For some strange, and unknown reason, wrestling and the obstacle course was required activities that all campers had to take.

She was so dead!

She wrote a letter to Dudley, letting her know that she was okay. She knew that he was probably wondering where she was at. It was to put his mind at ease.

Dear Dudley,

I hope that you're doing well and that Uncle Vernon isn't jumping up and down too much in excitement. I'm at a place called Camp Half-Blood. I don't know exactly what you do here, but it looks a little bit like fun. I'm okay, so no need to go and look for me. Don't eat too much bad stuff and say a prayer for me.

Love, from,

Selene

She went looking for a mailbox.

"Hello, Miss Potter," Chiron said.

"Hi," Selene said back. "I want to send this letter off."

"I'll make sure that it gets where it needs to go," he promised.

"Is Percy going to be alright?" Selene asked him.

"He should be," Chiron said. "Why don't you go and spend time with him."

"Thanks, I will," Selene said and she hurried off.

The med tent was filled with all sorts of campers. A large number of sandy haired, orange coated, boys and girls were busy working on those that were awake. Percy was the only one that wasn't awake. So she sat down and said, "I'm sorry about your mum. Mine died in a car crash so I never knew her. You're lucky, you knew yours."

She felt the tears well up and they landed on her arm. In her tears she noticed that they shimmered with a strange light. Even in the daylight she could see it. She coupled her hands and the tears landed in them and she then placed her hand on his head. She felt whatever ability that she had flow from her to him. Suddenly he gasped for breath and several healers came over.

Feeling a little weak she leaned back and let them work. No one asked how this was possible.

Due to whatever power that she used, which she figured it was healing, Percy's time at the med tent would be short. Selene slowly left and headed for her wrestling lesson. A very large, very ugly, girl was teaching the class. Selene really wasn't in the mood to get thrown around and all she wanted to do was crawl back to her floor and go to sleep. The sun was beating down on them, which didn't really help her need to go to sleep.

"Are you alright?" a girl asked Selene.

"I just want to sleep," she told the girl.

"Hay, runt."

Selene hated that nickname. That was what people that loved to bully her called her.

"Yeah, I'm talking to you…scar head."

Several kids snickered at her being called scar face. It wasn't her fault that she had a scar on her forehead.

"Come over here so that I can show a move off," she said and Selene knew that she couldn't get out of it.

Before Selene knew what was happening the girl grabbed her, and wrapped her arms around her neck. Most everyone was either laughing, groaning, or looking worried. Selene felt her air supply being cut off and she had never been more scared in her life. Suddenly she changed into a large wolf and the girl screamed and ran out of the training grounds. All her strength left her and she blacked out.

When she came too she was in the same med tent, this time next to Percy, that she had visited. She groaned as her body sent her signals that it hated her guts.

"Glad to see that you're awake," a sandy hair boy told her. "I'm Will Solace."

"Selene," she said.

"You'll be fine," he told her. "You gave Clarisse the scare of her life."

"Who's Clarisse?"

"Daughter of Ares and the best fighter at Camp," Will told her, as though that explained anything. "She wasn't expecting you to change into a wolf, which I will say made my day. Well it seems that might be a child of Hecate. But, since Hecate hasn't claimed you, that's only a guess."

"Do you always watch campers?" Selene asked him.

"Have to see who your godly parent might be."

That just sounded really creepy.

Percy left with Grover and soon Selene was the only person in the tent. It felt odd to have only one healer in the tent. The others went to Archery lessons or stocked up on whatever stuff that they got. Selene asked where did they get their medicine from and all they said was, "Children of Hecate brew them for us." No wonder it tasted like pond scum. It was nearly dinner when Selene was finally able to leave. Since she was hungry she decided to head for the dining pavilion.

She sat down at the Hermes table and got some food. Unlike, during breakfast, Luke told her that she had to give an offering to the gods. Not something that she was used to, but the others were doing it. And it might be seen as rude. She was the last one in-line and soon it was her turn.

"Can they smell that stuff?" Selene asked Luke.

"Yeah, don't ask me how," he said.

She put some of her food in and then something really strange happened. A glowing filled the pavilion and everyone was staring at her. She was really confused and then she heard, "That's impossible!" "She's a virgin goddess!" "Has to be a mistake!" Even Chiron was looking at her in shock. Looking up she barely saw the image of the moon as it vanished. Everyone was bowing to her, which was a little annoying.

"It's been determined," Chiron said. "Goddess of the Moon, Hunting, Fertility, Child Birth, Twin to Apollon. Hail, Selene Potter, Daughter of Artemis."

Selene just stood there in shock.

The moment that Selene was claimed Zeus called the Council. Artemis knew that he would, he was just that up on dramatics. It didn't take long for the whole council to appear, even Dionysus got there fast. The first word out of his mouth was, "I WANT TO TURN HER INTO A TURTLE."

"Dear gods, nephew, we haven't even started the meeting and you want to turn her into a turtle," Poseidon said.

"No one is giving you permission to turn anyone into anything," Athena stated.

"Council is in order and, no, we aren't voting to turn her into a turtle," Zeus told him. "Artemis, come forth."

Artemis did. She was the same height as the others, but she felt small.

"Is this child yours?" Zeus asked.

"Yes," Artemis answered.

"Ooh, some mortal got your attention," Aphrodite cooed.

"Finally found pleasure in a man's-."

"That will be enough, Ares," Hera said. "Gods, do you have to be so nasty."

"I want her punished."

"For what?" Athena asked.

"She turned into a wolf and scared my daughter."

The gods laughed, even Artemis grinned.

"Artemis, you came to me centuries ago, and asked for eternal maidenhood. I granted that and now I find out that you have a daughter. You hid her from our sights."

"Yeah, like Rhea did with you," Hera said. "Didn't see anyone complaining about that."

"That was different, dear."

Hera rolled her eyes.

"Where did you meet the mortal?" Zeus asked.

"Britain," Artemis answered. "He saved me from some men that wanted to rape me."

"Ah so an act of kindness got your attention."

"What is his name so that I can smite him."

"He's already dead," Artemis told him. "And his name was James Potter."

"Didn't I hear from Hades that the Potter's were killed by Tom Riddle," Athena stated.

"Yeah, and Tom Riddle has defied death," Apollon said. "I don't think I've seen Hades this mad since the Titanic sank."

"Oh please, don't mention the Titanic," Hera said.

"We will vote if your daughter will-."

"Council," a woman's voice said and the gods turned their attention on three women.

These women were the Fates.

Artemis had no idea why they were here. But if they could save her daughter's life, she would be in their debt.

"The child must not be harmed," Clotho told them.

"Her fate is tied to that of Tom Riddle," Lachesis stated. "Our decree is that she shall be the one to hunt Tom Riddle down."

"Of course he goes by the name of Lord Voldemort," Clotho told them.

"And she can't do that if she's dead," Atropos stated.

"You mean; we have to let the little brat live."

"Do you enjoy calling our children brats?" Athena asked him.

"It fits them," Dionysus said.

"Yes, wine god, she has to live. Her fate can't be changed and the gods can't make any choice that would change her fate by causing her death."

"She was also blessed by both Hecate and Apollon," Lachesis told them. "Skills that will come in handy for her."

"What exactly happened," Demeter asked, her voice kind.

The Fate showed what happened that night, how James tried to protect Lily and Selene, how Lily begged for a child that wasn't her owns life, and that she was killed. How Selene survived and all it did was make Artemis angry.

"She was sent to live with the Dursley's who treated her like a servant," Clotho told them. "If she did anything they considered freaky they punished her. She gets her magic from her father, but the blessing from Hecate that she got, will serve her well."

"That little child's fate is tied to an insane madman," Hephaestus said.

"Unfortunately," Lachesis said.

"Her fate is clear," Atropos told them. "She will return to the land of her birth and she will hunt Tom Riddle down and sent him to the Underworld. She's famous in the Wizarding World because she survived when others didn't."

The Council ruled that Selene would live. Artemis was punished by spending one of their terms at Hogwarts, which would be lifted when Tom Riddle was defeated. She would keep her divine gifts, her immortality, but she would be unable to show off her godly form.
