Inside Hogwarts…

Professor McGonagall open and went through the double doors while leading the first years behind her into a huge room that she told them is the Great Hall room where students and professors had their breakfasts, lunches and dinners, which Ruriko saw 4 long tables (2 tables on her right and 2 more on her left) with many other students sitting near the 4 long tables and some of them watching the first years with slight interest and curious looks on their faces with another long table at the front of the hall where all the professors are sitting in with Headmaster Dumbledore sitting in a throne-like chair in the middle of the table and with a single, three-legged stool which had an old, worn and wide brimmed hat on the stool while dozens of lit candles floating in thin air while the ceiling above them look like a realistic-looking night sky outside Hogwarts.

"They enchanted the ceiling to make it look like the real sky outside Hogwarts. I've read about it in "Hogwarts: A History"." said the bushy brown-haired girl to another girl beside her.

"Oh dear, that bushy brown-haired girl is another one of those who's a know-it-all and who looks up and thinks that all books and teachers are always right in whatever choices and decisions they spoke or do to others, no matter what." said a male voice concernly to Ruriko.

"Is that so about her, Archimedes?" said Ruriko mentally to the male voice named Archimedes.

"Yes. Don't let her go through what I go through back when I'm alive in Ancient Greek, young one." said Archimedes.

"Alright, I'll try but if she's one of those that doesn't want or need my help then I'll stop and leave her be." said Ruriko coldly and firmly to Archimedes.

"Very well but only if she's like what you said she is." said Archimedes.

After Professor McGonagall lead the first years into the Great Hall room past the long tables with it's sitting students toward the front of the hall and they came to a stop in front of an old, worn and wide brimmed dark brown hat on the stool before the hat start stirring, revealing the features of eyes and a mouth on it before the hat began singing.

Oh, you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.

You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.

There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,

Where you ought to be.

You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

"Seriously?" thought Ruriko with a deadpan look on her face (and also hearing the red-haired, freckled-faced boy start complaining about someone named Fred for lying to him about fighting a Troll before sorting) at the hat after it's done singing and which make some students sitting at the four tables start clapping and applauding at the hat.

"I know plus the song the hat just sing is quite a poor one, no matter the hat think and sing it out or someone else tell the hat to do it." said Sedna in amusement to Ruriko about the hat and it's poor song.

"Yeah, it is a poor song indeed." said another female voice in agreement with Sedna (which make Ruriko smirk in amusement a little).

"When I call out your names, you'll come forward, sat on this stool and I'll put the hat on you to let it decide which 4 houses you'll be sorted into. Let's begin, Abbott Hannah!" said Professor McGonagall to the new students before she began calling out names from the parchment she holds in her right hand and they watched as a nervous-looking blonde-haired, brown-eyed girl named Hannah Abbott walked toward the stool, turned around and sat down on it before Professor McGonagall put the hat down on Hannah's head.

"HUFFLEPUFF!" yelled the hat after it sat on Hannah's head for a few seconds before Professor McGonagall picked up the hat and Hannah stepped off the stool and walked toward the clapping Hufflepuff table with a smile on her face.

"Ah, I see. So that's how each of us are sorted into the 4 Houses." thought Ruriko with a small nod of her head.

Once Ruriko heard Professor McGonagall call out her name instead of her previous name, Ruriko make her way up the steps toward the stool, turned around and sat down on the stool before Professor McGonagall lowered and put the hat on her head.

"Hm, nice to meet you, Lucerne Potter or should I call you by your new name "Ruriko Sakura" now?" said the hat to Ruriko from inside her head.

"So you're not only a talking hat but also a hat that enter and knows everything in people's minds without asking their permissions or anything?" said Ruriko sternly to the hat.

"Yes, I am. Worry not as I won't reveal any informations and secrets of any person before I sorted, Miss Sakura. You've quite the difficult and interesting mind, so vast and filled with a lot of different male and female entities from many different pantheons and legends in History and also you've plenty of courage and talent. You'd do very well in each of the 4 Houses unless you've your own preference…" said the hat.

"Yes, I do. Please put me in Ravenclaw." said Ruriko firmly to the hat.

"Why do you pick Ravenclaw over the other?" asked the hat curiously to Ruriko.

"I've my reasons, hat." replied Ruriko.

"Very well. You shall be sorted into… RAVENCLAW!" said the hat to Ruriko, who smiled as she stood up, take off and give the hat back to Professor McGonagall before Ruriko make her way toward the Ravenclaw table and sat down.
