Prompt: Hayley/Elijah (F/M) hand, paddle
Between Bourbon and Dauphine Street
French Quarter, New Orleans
"I think I'll get the sheepshead fish, if they have it tonight," Hayley mused.
"That's an idea," Elijah remarked absentmindedly. They entered GW Fins for dinner. Elijah had made the reservation last week. Even with his connections, it was hard to get a table.
"There's a spot over there. Or we could sit at the bar?" Hayley prompted.
"Hmm?" Elijah said as they waited in the reception area. "I'll stand, thank you."
"I'm going go over and eat that lady over there with the orange hair!" Hayley snapped.
"Yes, do tha," Elijah responded.
"Elijah Mikaelson, you aren't even listening to me," Hayley hissed.
Elijah noticed Hayley was irritated with him. "I'm sorry, dear. Could you repeat that?"
"No, just tell me what is going on? What happened with you and Klaus? I told him that Hope was fine and got exactly what she deserved," Hayley said tightly.
"No, he was right. I should have done that. Maybe she is too old? Do you think she hates me?" Elijah asked with a pained expression.
"No, of course not. I mean, she is too old, but if she's going to act like a little brat than she needs to be prepared for the consequences. And she doesn't hate you," Hayley reassured him.
"How did things go in the Bayou?' Elijah asked.
"At first, Lisina wanted to rip my head off. But I assured her that we'd help Henry adjust. She said the vamps would never accept him and the pack would turn on him...," Hayley added.
"Well, she has a point. How do you propose to help him?" Elijah pressed.
"I suppose by checking in with him, that kind of thing. Honestly, he was struggling before and this isn't going to help," Hayley admitted.
"Yes, well, we all have our problems," Elijah snapped.
"Elijah, what has gotten into you. Sit down and talk to me. I'm getting worried. Did you fight with Klaus?" Hayley inquired.
"I'm fine standing. No, we didn't fight. We had some words, but worked it out. More or less," Elijah said without emotion.
"I don't believe you. You are acting strangely," Hayley accused.
"I'm fine," Elijah said blandly. Their server came and got them. They had a nice table. Hayley took a deep breath. Elijah ordered them wine and they sat quietly for a moment.
Hayley tried again, "So, what does the rest of the week look like? Any big plans I should know about?"
Elijah shrugged. He was trying not to fidget and squirm in his chair. "Not really."
"Freya said something about going to visit Keelin. That's exciting," Hayley said.
"Oh," Elijah uttered.
Hayley talked about keeping Hope home from school for maybe the rest of the year.
"Maybe Hope is picking up all these bad habits at school. She needs more discipline. I've been telling Klaus that for years, but you know how he likes to spoil her rotten," Hayley said.
"He did the same thing with Marcellus. Almost two centuries ago by now. You would think he would have learned," Elijah muttered more to himself than Hayley.
"Marcel turned out pretty well, though," Hayley smiled. Rebekah was happy with the handsome, charming vampire she now lived with in New York.
Elijah grunted and nodded. They ordered, the food came. As they were eating and Hayley finished the first bottle of wine almost by herself, she snapped.
"Elijah, if you don't tell me what's wrong right now I'm taking you over my knee right here I don't care who is watching!" Hayley growled. For a second, Elijah saw her eyes glow yellow.
"Hayley, calm down! You are overreacting," Elijah let out with a nervous laugh. "Nothing is wrong!"
"Pay the bill," Hayley insisted. "Boys who lie get their bottoms heated up."
"What?" Elijah asked in shock. They weren't done eating. Not that he was hungry.
"Throw some money down on the damn table. We are leaving," Hayley revealed.
Elijah throw down several one hundred dollar bills and felt Hayley grip his arm.
"Hayley, what are you doing?" Elijah asked in alarm.
Hayley whispered, "I am going to take you home and wallop you. It was so effective on Hope that it ought to work on you, too."
Elijah could not believe this, he started to feel like he was going to cry. He eyes blurred with tears.
"I don't want a spanking! Please, you can't think to do this!" Elijah groaned.
"Hurry now, we can't come back here if I have to pop your butt in the middle of the place, you know?" Hayley acknowledged.
"What is wrong with you people? I am 1000 years old!" Elijah whined.
"You people? You better watch your tone," Hayley said dragging him out the door. The rest of the way home was a blur. Hayley drove. Elijah sat on his sore rear and tried to hide his crying and frustration.
Hayley scolded him the whole way home. Klaus was still out with Hope.
When they got to the Compound, no one was downstairs. Elijah was thankful for that.
"I gave you a chance in the car to come clean, you didn't do that. You choose to sit there and fell sorry for yourself. Elijah, I love you, but I can't help you if you don't let me in. Now, for the last time, tell me what is wrong. Talk to me," Hayley begged.
Elijah shook his head, he couldn't. "It's nothing, Hayley. Let's just go to bed."
Hayley's face hardened. "I remember when Hope used to be this stubborn. Hmm, where is mother's little helper..?" Hayley clamped on to Elijah's hair and pulled him into the kitchen. She opened a not often used drawer on the side and found the Schylling paddleball paddle. She had only used it three or four times to deliver a swat or two to her wayward daughter, mostly using the paddle as a threat.
Elijah, now bent over, from having his hair tugged, gasped, "Not that paddle!"
Hayley took the 11 inch round wooden paddle and dragged Elijah to a kitchen chair. Terrified that someone would come in, Elijah begged her to take him to their bedroom. Hayley sat down on the kitchen chair. She was wearing heels and a pale blush colored dress. She easily flipped Elijah over her lap. His trousers stretched tight over his upturned behind. Hayley adjusted Elijah so his hands were on the floor and his feet dangling.
Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Hayley paddled Elijah four times in the center of his behind. He kicked and wailed before the first impact. Hayley's eyes widened. This little paddle was really teaching him a lesson. Whack! Whack! Whack! Whack!
Elijah gasped and his legs began to thrash almost as if he were trying to swim off Hayley's lap. Yet her arm held him firmly as she spanked him now from cheek to cheek. Crack! Crack!
"Are you ready to talk?" Hayley asked.
Elijah was wailing again.
"No more. Yes, but let's talk upstairs! Please, my love," Elijah implored her.
Whack! Whack! Hayley paddled him a few more times firmly.
"Arggggggghh, stop!" Elijah begged.
"I will stop when you start behaving," Hayley quipped standing him up. Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Elijah frantically rubbed the seat of his pants.
"No! I don't think so," Hayley turned him and paddled him a few more times. Whap! Whap! Whap!
"Sorry, sorry," Elijah wailed. "I already got a spanking today! I don't want another one!"
Hayley was aghast, "What?" Pop! Pop! Pop! Pop!
Elijah wept with shame, "Niklaus wanted to show me what it felt to get a spanking like Hope did, so Freya did a spell. My behind is so sore. Please Hayley, don't paddle me!"
Hayley was concerned, "I need to see."
Elijah clutched at his waistband, "Not here. Take me upstairs!"
Hayley looked at the kitchen door and agreed. Anyone could walk in. She kept the paddle in her right hand and clamped down on Elijah with her left. He looked miserable.
When they finally got to their bedroom, she pointed at him with the wooden paddle.
"Pants off. I need to see," Hayley said. Elijah huffed and painfully took off his trousers and underwear.
"Boxers?' Hayley said in surprise.
"The brief kind were too tight. My butt is really stinging. Klaus also paddled me, but he used the hairbrush on my bare behind. Hayley, I haven't gotten a spanking in over 900 and some years and now I get two in one day!" Elijah cried out.
Hayley put the paddle down and went to examine Elijah's reddened bottom. The marks from the hairbrush were purplish is some places, the rest was just a dull red.
"Oh Elijah, you have little bruises. From the hairbrush maybe?" Hayley said softly. "Stand here and do not move, or I will put you over my knee for another five minutes!"
Elijah cried and stood there until Hayley returned.
Hayley returned with a jar of cold cream.
"I'm going to sit here," Hayley said with emotion. She eased Elijah over her knee again and applied the lotion to his stinging bottom carefully.
"That feels good," Elijah breathed. Hayley's strong hands were now soft and gentle. She rubbed the cream in gently.
"I'm sorry, babe. If I knew you got spanked so hard, I wouldn't have...Why didn't you tell me?" Hayley said in frustration.
"I was angry and embarrassed. For centuries, I was the eldest and now my little brother is giving me spankings and my new big sister is turning off my healing? What is next? Oh wait, my girl friend paddled me over her knee for not telling her about my most humiliating experience ever!" Elijah quipped.
"Hey, we are partners. What happens to you, affects me. Vice versa. I used to not get it how Klaus spanked Marcel when he was an older vampire and how you two whupped Kol's butt from time to time, but then I realized that you did it out of love, concern," Hayley started. "So maybe they are doing it for the same reasons. You need to express you emotions and to talk. If not, maybe this little paddle or hair brush need to come out and say hello?"
"No, that will not be necessary. I do not need more of this. Hayley, I feel like I sat on a hot stove," Elijah confessed.
"If you would have just talked to me instead of ruining our night, you wouldn't have gotten your sore behind paddled again!' Hayley reminded him.
Elijah looked down, "Niklaus made me stand in the corner." He began to weep into his hands.
Hayley nodded, "I think that is an excellent idea to help you calm down. Now march."
Elijah looked to see where she was pointing and trudged over. He did not even care that his pants were off and his red rump bare and throbbing. Hayley was not angry, Elijah could tell. Hayley undressed and put on her night clothes when Elijah was serving his time out in the corner. She took out his softest pajamas and called him over.
Hayley hugged Elijah and patted his back, "All forgiven. But the next time, you time me the first time."
Elijah nuzzled her neck, "I'm sorry. I will. I love you so much.'
"I love you, too. More than I can express with words. When you are hurt, I am hurt," Hayley said
"If you are not angry with me, I'm okay," Elijah assured her.
"You're not mad at your siblings?" Hayley clarified.
"No, I guess I understand why they did what they do," Elijah admitted. "I don't like it, but I will heal and we can get our family back together."
"Just behave and speak up," Hayley informed him. "I'm sure it was a one time thing."
Elijah nodded and agreed, but something made him wonder if that was entirely true.
