First day of school!

A month…

That's how long it has been since Akira was reunited with Diehauser. It took nearly that long to simply agree to allow Akira to attend Devil school, since the Old Devils weren't for it, but Diehauser was insistent, and was surprised but happy to see the Four Maou's backed up his words.

Akira also was still processing his feelings regarding his parents death. Diehauser also respected that it was Akira's grief, and chose to allow him to deal with it in ways that would be the best for him to do.

Both Azazel and Diehauser agreed that for the time being, that Vali should stay with the Grigori. Even Diehauser didn't know how the Underworld would feel about Vali right now, being a Lucifer, and being the Hakuryuukou, it was hard enough for Akira to be allowed to stay in the Underworld, they were against him so much.

Elmenhilde was also still with them, but the Vampire's had been contacted, and they said they would set up a meeting for a day that would be soon, after seemingly putting it off for a good while.

Akira's Sacred Gear also had become adjusted to the world, with it reading books, and watching various programs, among other things. Akira also trained with his Sacred Gear, and was able to use his abilities with the blade, finding some unique combinations between them.

Though right now, Akira was heading for his first day of school, however something else was surprising him.

"So let me get this straight in my head...even though the Old Devils hate me and my existence as a whole, they wish for me to get married...so I could pass on my Worthless trait to future Devil children, and possibly the power of my Longinus or at least the aura or something like that, to strengthen the powers within the Underworld, yet any future kids I have will have some human in them, which they would probably discriminate against?"

Diehauser slowly nods as Akira looks on in bewilderment.

"Yeah, said out loud it is a head scratcher huh."

As Diehauser spoke, both of them saw a shadow moving from the right hand side of the room.

When looking, nothing was there, so they kept their conversation going with Akira looking down at himself.

"I'll say. So, who is this future wife they want me to be with?"

"Not sure yet, the Old Devils, and some others are going over which would be the best for you."

Akira laughed quietly.

"I'm sure Vali-chan might have something to say about that."

Diehauser snorted, patting Akira's head as the shadow came closer and closer, zipping from room to room that were far away from Akira and Diehauser.

"School starts soon, so we should be going. Also remember, if anyone says or does anything, tell your Sensei right away, okay? And if they don't listen, then call me and I'll come immediately."

"Okay Uncle."

Akira walks off together with his Uncle.

Or that was the plan, when suddenly "Aki-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!" came booming out.

The next thing Akira knew was that he was being held very tightly. He could have avoided it, but he sensed no malice, so he simply let it happen.

To his surprise, it was a beautiful young woman wearing a magical girls outfit, her arms tightly around Akira's body, and her chest pressing against Akira's face. The young boy, unaccustomed to such things, immediately felt his cheeks heating up, blushing as her soft chest rested against his face.

"Aki-chan, I had to come when I heard it was your first day of school!"

Akira flushed as the woman bounded up and down with his head against her chest.

"S-Serafall-sama. What are you doing?"

The newly named Serafall held a distinctive grin on her face, as she peered towards the blushing Akira.

"Ooh, I came to cuddle you Aki-chan tightly, because you're so adorable. Since we've met, I can't help but think Sona-chan and I really should cuddle you often. Don't you think so Diehauser-chan?"

Diehauser didn't know what to say and could only nod his head, Serafall was always eccentric.

It seemed that she had taken a liking to Akira, not even bothering with the fact that he was half human, she simply found him cute.

Serafall gently cups Akira's chin, and lightly allows her fingers to run across his cheek.

"You are so super precious, don't worry Aki-chan, I'll take care of all the bad people for you~"

"That's sweet of you, thank you."

Serafall shakes her head.

"Don't think anything of it. Everything will turn out very fine if it is me and you together Aki-chan, you know what I mean?"

Akira didn't really, but he went along with it regardless.

"I guess so."

Serafall grinned, petting his head several times before pulling back with a cheery grin.

"Great, then I have to go, now that I have a willing cuddle partner, see you later~ I can't survive without cuddles from someone adorable, and since Sona-chan rejects everything that I want to do regarding cuddles, I'll come and cuddle you~"

Akira looked at her with a bemused expression.

He never expected one of the Maou's of the Underworld to be so...eccentric.

Making it to the school, Akira looked at the large building before him. He knew that Diehauser had to pull a lot of strings to get Akira admitted to such a high class school. The school initially had rejected him, but Diehauser wouldn't have it, and made it happen, Akira wasn't sure how.

But because Diehauser was trying his best, Akira thought he'd do the same, and excel at the school, even if they didn't want him.

"Okay, so I have to leave you here." Diehauser said as Akira looked up towards him. "Anything I can do before I go?"

"Can I have my Longinus?"

Diehauser raised an amused brow at the joking tone he used.

"Not in class."

"Okay, can I have my sword?"

"Sorry." Diehauser patted his head, observing the harsh looks from other Devils passing by, something Akira noticed. "They don't understand you yet, but they will as you be yourself and show them exactly who you are." Akira appreciated that. "Then, this is it Akira, I have to get going. Remember-"

"Don't worry, I'll try my best to make friends, though I wont take crap from anyone either."

"Exactly, I'm sure you know the right balance of what to do."

"Yes, leave it to me Uncle. I read many books on interacting with others before. This is no different to me. I'll tackle the challenge like I tackled being attacked, and nearly killed many times. If anything, this will probably be a lot easier than that~"

Diehauser was glad to hear that, Akira was someone that had been through a lot, but he was also someone that would try his hardest no matter what.

Diehauser then speaks briefly with a Sensei that comes over.

Akira looks up, seeing the man looking down at Akira with scornful eyes, but Akira simply dismisses him by looking away.

When Diehauser left, Akira followed his Sensei.

As he did, the Sensei looked down and murmured "Just because your relative is the Champion of the Rating Games, don't think you'll have it easy here, cursed brat." with a disgusting look in his eyes.

Understanding what this Sensei was saying, and what else the Sensei truly wished to say as well, Akira simply bowed his head.

"If you have a problem with me personally, then I suggest telling someone that can make a difference. Telling me, forgive the pun, is worthless."

Akira quietly observes, before moving to his auditorium, his Sensei seething behind him.

When getting to a giant assembly hall, Akira waits outside, as the Sensei scoffs "Stay here, wait until your name is called." and promptly walks off.

He peaks inside, seeing some Devil children. He could see that it was a class that ranged from older, to younger.

He then saw what he presumed the principal get on the stage that was before Akira's eyes. He then spoke about the normal day to day activities of the school, Akira then heard that a new kid would be starting, and that was him.

"Yes, to address the rumours. There is a new student with us today, and I am sure all of you have heard about his status. He is indeed half human, half Devil." Whispers among the children could be heard, as the principals clear bias shows with an uncaring look passing through his eyes. "Boy, come to the stage, introduce yourself."

Akira felt like it wasn't really necessary for the entire school to be brought on, it felt like the school itself was trying to tell everyone that he was someone that could be singled out, based on the looks he got as he walked forward.

He looked over the crowd, and could see a variety of different Devils.

Some looked completely human, some had horns and some had different things that changed them to look different than human.

When he looked over them, he could see that some had already made their minds up about him before he even spoke. Some showed scowls, and disgusted looks. Some looked genuinely curious more than anything.

He saw a girl with bright red crimson like hair named Rias Gremory having a curious look, the same for a girl with black hair in a bob cut named Sona Sitri.

He saw a girl that looked a little younger than him, her hair in drill twin tails, and her blue eyes captivated on him, her name being Ravel Phenex.

He also saw a girl with pale greenish blonde hair, and she wore glasses names Seekvaira Agares. Two others, in the form of a girl with slightly long silver hair, and a girl with blonde hair and blue tips named Iryuka Glasya-Labolas and Latia Astaroth.

He saw other students, one standing out was a young man around his age, his eyes seemed to be focused on him curiously.

"Hello, my name is Akira Belial. I am attending this school, thanks to my Uncle Diehauser. To answer any concerns immediately, I am a child of a human and a Devil. I also have no intentions of having fights with any of you, and I hope we can become friends. Thank you, that's all I have to say."

When he said it, the room went silent.

Sairaorg nodded slowly, and murmured "I like him." with a grin working its way onto his face.

Rias was astonished, but also quite liked his words.

Sona, next to Rias, nodded and uttered "Interesting, he isn't intimidated at all, I wish to see more." as she found that despite the new setting, the clear hostility from some being directed towards him, yet he wasn't frightened nor intimidated, he didn't back down for even a moment.

Ravel looked quite astonished like the red head. But also wondered more about him. Usually, she might have simply dismissed him, but there was something about the way he stood, and his general demeanour that she found interesting, she just didn't know how to say it right now.

Some looked on, baffled by his words.

However, two Devils named Zephyrdor and Diodora looked at Akira, and gave disgusted looks.

"To think they'd let in some disgusting human Devil like that. It's worse than a Reincarnated Devil. At least they might have talent, these ones are all disturbing and disgusting to me. Right Diodora?"

Diodora stared at Akira, and then lowered his eyes ever so slightly with a small smirk working its way onto his face.

"Yes, I'd have to agree with you on that. There's nothing here of interest, just a half breed that's in our school for the pure blooded, we really should get rid of him."

"Yeah, we could always beat him, I'd be fine with it. I wouldn't want something like that in our school anyway. Ugh, it's shocking they even let him in. Champions nephew or not, he's still half human, therefore tainted, and makes me sick…!"

As the two spoke quietly, Akira got off the stage with a bow, and simply sat down by himself. He tried to sit with others, but they immediately moved to different seats, leaving a ring of empty chairs around him.

It didn't bother Akira, but to some, like Rias, she didn't like how people immediately moved away, she felt it was rather rude, and even if he was a child of a human and a Devil, she didn't see the need to simply act like this.

"I'm going to go over."

Rias began, Sona glancing towards her.

"I thought that you might."

"Well, it isn't in me to simply ignore those before my eyes. Besides, seeing how rude everyone else is being, I don't like it."

Sona looked on, as Rias went to his right hand side and sat down.

Akira glanced at her, seeing Rias adopting a small smile.

"Hello, my name is Rias Gremory, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Akira adopts a small smile, and bows respectfully back.

"It's a pleasure, as you heard, my name is Akira Belial."

Rias adopts a small smile, and looks towards Sona and the others.

"So, you're part human, right?"

"Yes, that's right."

"And you're originally, from Japan?"

"Yes-"

As soon as he said it, Rias' eyes lit up like stars, she clutched his hand and yelled "Tell me everything about Japan!" with Akira widening his eyes ever so slightly.

But seeing that she took an interest, he shrugged, and explained some stuff.

As he did, Rias nodded slowly.

"I personally have become accustomed to watching anime."

"I haven't watched it in a long time, though I really like fighting anime and stuff, I think the battle scenes are cool~"

Rias cups her hands to her chest.

"Me too~ So, do you like Madoka Magica?"

"I haven't watched it, any good?"

"You have to watch it, it's so good~ I love Madoka and the whole gang~"

"Then I will, thanks for the suggestion Gremory-san."

"Just call me Rias, can I call you Akira-kun?"

"If you like, I don't mind."

Rias smiled to herself.

She did have to admit she was a bit nervous about speaking to someone like Akira, as she hadn't really ever met anyone like Akira before, who was from the Churches side in terms of heritage. But she could see that Akira wasn't such a bad person, that he was rather intriguing and interesting at the same time.

"Also, may I ask you a question?"

"Yes, what is it?"

"I heard that you were able to move from place to place without being caught, correct?"

Akira was curious as to why Rias was asking anything about that.

"Yes, why?"

"It's just, there's a situation currently going on, and there's someone moving around our territory, we aren't sure of their intentions yet, so I was curious if you have any tips on that?"

"What would you do with this person?"

Akira asks, Rias hums.

"It really depends on who it is and what they want. If they're there by mistake or need help, then I'd like to see if there's anything that I can currently do."

When she said that, Akira didn't detect any hints of malice, so it seemed to Akira that Rias genuinely just wished to help out.

"If that's the case, then I can give you some tips on how to find someone that's trying to evade sensors."

Rias claps her hands together cutely.

"That would be great, thank you very much."

Rias said with her smile growing more and more.

Even Akira felt his face curling upwards, he found it rather interesting to speak to someone like Rias, wondering more about Pure Blooded Devils, as the only ones he ever truly knew where his Mother and Uncle, plus his family, that was it.

Sairaorg, upon seeing that, began to stand up, when some Sensei's came over to Rias, and began taking her away from Akira.

"E-Excuse me...but what are you doing?"

"Gremory-sama, please come this way."

"I was speaking to..."

"Please, Gremory-sama, you don't have to be near that child."

"But that would be my choice..."

"Gremory-sama, it is okay, that boy is...not your concern."

Rias tried to move away, and get back to sitting close by to Akira, but the Sensei's kept blocking her path.

Akira watched on, before turning his head away and kept his eyes on the ground.

Sairaorg looked on, and remembered how his Father had treated him and his Mother, as outcasts. He could see that the school was trying to do the same thing to Akira right now, something that he didn't like at all.

Meanwhile, as Akira was at school, Elmenhilde was sat within the Belial's home, with the black dog sat beside her. She thought about how she'd be going back home soon. Part of her was happy, but she also felt sad as she had become accustomed to being around Akira, and the others. So she was torn on what to feel. She wasn't sure that if she did go with them, she would be able to come back, because of how the law of Vampire's worked, and how she felt about that.

Elmenhilde, in the middle of her thoughts, looked to see that the dog was reading a book.

So she bent towards the dog, and looked on with intrigue.

She saw that it was reading a book called 'Cats and Dogs, the real truth.' which made her all the more intrigued.

"So, what's the real truth...?"

Elmenhilde murmured, with the dog glancing towards her.

When she didn't get a reply, she went to turn when the dog pushed the book to her.

She took said book, and began reading it to herself.

"I didn't know dogs were like that with cats..."

She murmured, as she heard the sound of the TV being switched on.

She glanced up, and when she did, the show that was on, made her eyes widen.

"No...not her..."

Elmenhilde looked afraid of what could happen next.

She was worried that this could cause her to faint potentially.

For what came on...was Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Her eyes went towards the dog, seeing it being rather relaxed as it stared at the screen.

"I-It isn't funny to do these things, you know? Did Vali-san put you up to this?" The dog looked back towards her, and tilted his head. "S-She's Buffy, and, and it's...she's a Vampire Slayer! I'm a Vampire! We don't get..." As she spoke, she turned to see some of the show, and tilted her head. "Oh...who's she? Willow, I quite like that fuzzy sweater...I see, hmmmm..."

Elmenhilde sat back, and relaxed as she and the black dog watched the program together...

When lunch came, Akira sat on his own outside, while the majority of Devil children stood afar, looking on towards him. Some like Rias had wished to approach him, but the Sensei's made it clear to not go close, something she found to be highly rude.

Sairaorg didn't care however, and simply bypassed the Sensei's with his superior speed, and got towards Akira, before they could say anything.

"So, you're the boy that's supposed to be strong, right?"

Sairaorg began, Akira looked up and gave a half smile.

"I suppose you could say that."

Sairaorg took a few moments to sit back, and look towards Akira.

Seeing his general demeanour, it was clear a few things about him right away.

"Haha, I'm glad to hear that your voice was neither cocky or condescending either. People usually answer that with one of the two, or even both." Sairaorg sat down to the right hand side of Akira. "My names Sairaorg from the Bael clan. I'm sorry about how the Sensei's are acting and how others might be acting as well, they're being rather cruel."

"It's fine, I'm used to people seeing me in such a way."

"I can understand, they do the same with me."

Akira blinked.

"Why? You're Pure Blooded, aren't you?"

Akira found it confusing that the Devils would even treat one of their own like an outsider as well.

Sairaorg didn't seem to be lying either, so Akira was more intrigued about Sairaorg before him.

"Yes, but I didn't inherit my clans special trait, and think that I'm rather useless. So they believe that I'm not really worthy enough either. Even after beginning to prove myself, it seems that they still treat me as an outcast."

Akira looked on, and while he wasn't happy that people treated Sairaorg in such a manner, he was glad that Sairaorg had approached him.

"I see...yes, it's the same for me, other Pure Bloods think I'm tainted or something. They think I'm an enemy, due to where I come from. Though it doesn't bother me, when facing literal death, words and such don't really affect me at all."

Sairaorg gave a hearty laugh.

"Hahaha, that's a very good way of looking at it. So, tell me about your strength, I'm always interested to see those that have acquired strength through combat, especially at ages like ours. I have no doubt saying you probably have more combat experience than I do, I wouldn't mind having a spar against you sometime."

Akira adopts a small smile.

"Yes, we could do that if you want, I wouldn't mind."

"Great then let me know when you're ready and we can begin."

Akira smiled, he was glad that there were other students around that weren't completely afraid of him, or simply hated him because of his family relations.

"I fight better with a sword, but I also know how to fight with my hands. It's up to you which one you'd like me to fight with."

"Hmm, so you can fight with both can you? I myself fight with only my fists, but I'd want you to fight at your best, so a sword would be fine with me as well."

"I see, then I can't wait to begin~"

Sairaorg lightly grinned, sitting down and began talking with Akira.

Zephyrdor and Diodora looked on, and the former scoffed, while Diodora looked on with slit eyes, but kept up a fake smile.

"Seems like outcasts stick together."

Diodora observes, Zephyrdor shakes his head.

"It really seems that they are. Tch, ones a loser that didn't inherit any kind of power, and the other isn't even a real Devil."

As they said it, Ravel happened to walk by, and looked between them.

"What do you want?"

Zephyrdor showed a dark scowl on his face, before Ravel began walking away, murmuring "So crude." shaking her head side to side, Zephyrdor felt annoyed by her.

Diodora, someone that found conflict interesting, and funny when it wasn't him, decided to full the fire, and leaned closer.

"Maybe you should do something about him? Humiliate him in front of the school, and his Uncle will also be humiliated, sympathizing with a human Devil, disgusting."

Zephyrdor stroked his chin in thought as Akira glanced at the pair, before continuing his conversation with Sairaorg.

When the end of the day came, Akira waited by the school gates. He watched other kids being picked up by their parents, and thought about his own. How it would feel for his parents to do the same thing.

He saw other students walking on by, the likes of Ravel who met up with her older brother Riser, Sona who was picked up, albeit reluctantly, by her elder sister Serafall, and others from the school, that he recognized.

But that was dismissed as Akira saw Zephyrdor coming over, with a few of his 'friends' coming up behind him as well. Diodora watched on from a distance, his eyes on Akira in a disgusted way, even if he kept up his smile. Zephyrdor couldn't resist, he didn't like Akira due to his status, and wished to try and prove he was superior.

"Aah well, I'm about to go home..." His eyes went to Akira who didn't bother look at him. "...with my parents." He faced Akira fully, and gave a faux apologetic expression. "Oh, I'm sorry, you don't have any, do you? Didn't mean to make you feel sad."

Akira kept his eyes away from Zephyrdor, something Zephyrdor didn't like at all, and inched closer.

Rias happened to be walking by, seeing Zephyrdor, and knew he'd be making trouble so she began moving closer as well.

"By the way, you don't belong at this school half breed. You only got in because of your Uncle anyway."

Rias was going to intervene, when Akira himself simply moved his head, beginning to acknowledge Zephyrdor's presence.

"You only got in because of the family you were born into." Akira began, his eyes going towards Zephyrdor's own. "Trying to get me angered by speaking about my family, it isn't going to work. If you're wondering, then yes, I also observed how you spoke about me during the morning assembly, and later on when I was with Sairaorg-san."

Zephyrdor widened his eyes in shock that Akira shut him down so quickly and to the point as well, as Rias bit her lower lip to suppress a small laugh escaping her lips. She found what he said to be rather funny, with how his words were actually rather accurate.

"You little..."

"Also, because you're a Pure Blooded Devil, that comes from a family that produced a Maou, you believe that you have rights that others don't have, believing you can say what you wish to anyone, and treat people as if they're nothing to you. Sorry, but it wont work with me."

Zephyrdor looked surprised as his hands begin to erupt with demonic power.

Zephyrdor felt angered by him.

"I'm stronger than you are pretender Devil! You're nothing to me!"

"You want to start a fight with me, in the hopes that I throw the first punch, and get myself expelled from the school. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I wont fall for your simple taunts."

Rias was amazed how Akira handled it. With dignity and grace, unlike how Zephyrdor was trying to be overly aggressive, by starting out as making rude comments and escalated it. Akira kept his voice level, and calm, he kept eye contact when appropriate, shut down Zephyrdor with logic and facts, even ones that Rias was amazed to see, all in all, she found Akira pretty interesting.

Dismissing Zephyrdor in a way that he'd understand, Zephyrdor's rage grew more and more.

How Akira was able to shut him down so quickly, and easily, told him that he wouldn't allow his to happen.

Demonic power filled his hand, and he raised it towards Akira.

As he did, Diehauser walked on by, seeing the aggressive nature of Zephyrdor, and the threatening behaviour going towards his nephew.

"Hey!"

Diehauser began, as Zephyrdor threw his fist at Akira, not noticing Diehauser.

Rias gasped, Diehauser was going to intervene only for Akira to immediately avoid the fist.

Using his incredible speed to grab his wrist, using his Worthless power to nullify Zephyrdor's demonic power, as he slid behind him, kicking his torso which made him hunch forward, and once behind him, used his strength to flip Zephyrdor forward, going all the way around, with Zephyrdor landing on his back with a thud.

"Ugh…!"

Zephyrdor groaned, as a few of his 'friends' came rushing at Akira.

Diehauser thought about intervening, but watched as Akira dealt with it himself.

He deflected two blows from two of the Devils, got behind them and then kicked the back of their legs, so they fell to bended knee. Then he twirled around, hitting one of their heads, and forced it against another one's, knocking them both down to the ground.

"Little shit!"

Another tried to use his hulking strength to pin down Akira, only for Akira to leap up, and do a hand stand on top of the boys head, impressing the likes of Ravel and Rias, before he twists his body, forcing his foot into the back of the hulking boy, sending him flying into the school gates.

"My...he can really fight well..."

"Akira-kun, he's pretty strong..."

Landing gracefully on the ground, Sairaorg saw another boy come for Akira with some demonic power in his hand.

He went to comment, when he saw Akira spin rapidly, kicking the boy off balance, so his demonic power would shoot off to another incoming boy, sending that boy back with a groan, as Akira got behind the firing demonic energy one, quickly subduing him with a solid kick to his shoulder.

"Wow, he can fight. Multiple opponents at the same time, even playing them off against one another. Makes me want to fight him even more."

Sairaorg murmured to himself, as Zephyrdor groaned. He pulled himself off of the floor, his anger being directed towards Akira.

Diehauser thought about stopping it, but as he was going to, Akira turned towards Zephyrdor.

"As I said in the assembly, I have no interest in fighting anyone while I'm here, but I wont stand by and allow you to attack me either. So I'd suggest making the best choice for you personally."

Zephyrdor was angry.

He was being destroyed on a few levels thanks to Akira.

His standing in the school was being challenged because he essentially was losing not only the fight, but those that thought he was strong and tough at the school, by losing to someone that he essentially thought was a nobody.

"Fine, I choose kicking your ass!"

Zephyrdor rushes forward, and comes at Akira with a fist filled with demonic power.

"I see, then this is it."

Akira sighs, and places his hand out, catching the fist, and renders the power Worthless, disappearing before Zephyrdor's eyes, then his fist was tossed to the side, Akira delivers a straight forward punch.

"Gwaaah!"

The punch shook Zephyrdor to the core as he collapsed to his knees, coughing up bile.

"By the way, the camera by the school gates caught everything you just did, so good luck not getting expelled."

As he did, Akira took Zephyrdor's tie off, and bound his hands, adding demonic power to strengthen the tie so Zephyrdor couldn't free his hands so easily.

Serafall upon seeing Akira winning the fight, cheered happily.

"Yay! That's my Aki-chan!"

Sona looked embarrassed by Serafall's actions, but she was also quite impressed as was Seekvaira, who murmured "Quite strong indeed." as Diehauser saw the impressed faces of those around, some even clapped.

Diodora was equal parts astonished and angry, seeing how Zephyrdor and the group he had was being taken down so easily.

People like Ravel and Rias thought that he was pretty cool.

Diehauser walked closer, and stood before Akira, who held up his hands.

"They attacked me Uncle. I was defending myself."

Diehauser let out a small laugh.

"I saw, you handled it very well, I'm proud, and as you said, the cameras got what he did so you'll be fine. Apart from that, have a good day?"

"Yeah, ooh I also made a friend or two. Well, at least I think anyway~"

Diehauser lightly laughed as he and Akira began walking away.

Diodora looked on, his eyes dipping into rage, more and more.

Ravel saw her friend, Iryuka was looking towards her relative Zephyrdor, and simply said "He really is the bane of my existence." something that made Ravel blink in surprise, before shaking her head, and turned to her elder brother.

"Did you see him Riser-nii-sama?"

"Yeah, I did. Stay away Ravel, he's too dangerous."

"But..."

Riser shook his head.

"He's like how I thought, a ruffian!"

"Erm, they literally attacked him, he didn't start that fight."

Ravel expressed, but Riser wouldn't have any of it, shaking his head side to side over and over.

"Don't worry about him Ravel, I'll make sure that you're fine from him."

Ravel rolled her eyes.

She loved her elder brother dearly, but she didn't agree.

Something about Akira's eyes, and his actions, Ravel liked.

He was different to all of the other boys around.

He wasn't arrogant, nor cocky, he defended himself, and spoke what he thought was right.

He acted very different to how everyone did, and it was something that definitely intrigued Ravel a good deal.

Returning home to collect the dog before going to see Vali and Azazel, Akira walked in to the living room, and saw a surprising sight.

"Willow please! Run! Don't get Willow!"

Akira saw Elmenhilde, and the black dog, seemingly bonding over watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Elmenhilde bit her nails, while the dog looked on with broad eyes, Akira didn't know what to make of this scene, so he spoke up.

"Elmen-"

"Buffy, come on...come and save her from that Demon robot thing...she's the best character...okay Buffy, you did it...thank you."

Akira was quite amused that she was acting in such a manner, he shrugged, and moved closer.

"Elmen-san." She stopped, paused her program, and turned to Akira, looking embarrassed as she did so. "We're going to go and see Vali-san and Azazel-san now, so he can study the Longinus. Do you want to come?"

"I have too?"

Akira shakes his head.

"Nope, do as you like."

"Then, I'd like to watch more of Buffy."

"I thought you were afraid of her?"

Elmenhilde waved her hand.

"No, she's good, I can see. Plus, she's not real, so it is fine."

Akira slowly nods, calls the dog over, which hops onto his shoulder and affectionately rubs his cheek against Akira's who pets the dog right back, as Akira glances towards Elmenhilde, who went back to her program.

He was quite amused with her antics, and simply shrugged as he walked off to go towards the Grigori together with a dumbfounded Diehauser.

A small time later, Akira and Diehauser went towards the Grigori so Azazel could study Akira's Sacred Gear. In turn, Akira would receive information, and got to see Vali, which he was happy about.

When Akira came inside together with Diehauser, accompanied by his peerage, Akira showed his smile when he saw Vali approaching, her hands in her skirt pockets and gave a general cool demeanour towards him.

"Vali-chan, it's great to see you."

Akira greeted as he approached the young girl with a gleam in his eyes.

"We saw one another the other day."

Vali sweat dropped, as Akira casually hugged her.

She didn't reject it, something that Azazel noted.

"Yes, but it was still a few days. I did miss you Vali-chan. So what have you been up to?"

"Learning about my Sacred Gear more from Azazel, though I learned a good deal of it from you anyway, he filled in some gaps."

"I'm glad Vali-chan!"

"What about you?"

Akira shrugged.

"Started school, first time going. It was...interesting to say the least. I met some nice people, many of them weren't so nice. Ended up having to kick some ass, and oh yeah, the Underworld wants me to get married so I can have strong children. But that's neither here nor there anyway."

"Tch, they want you to get married huh..."

As they spoke, Azazel bent down towards Akira, and shows a strong smile.

"Kuku, so it seems you're as close as ever. The boy that captivated Vali's heart..." Vali gave a hard stare, to which Azazel looked on with some curiosity. "...Anyway, I suppose we should get on with it."

Akira nods his head.

So together, they began walking.

As they did, Akira takes note of the various people that were around. Mostly Fallen Angels, but he did see some humans as well.

"So, do you gather Sacred Gear wielders?"

Akira asks, with Azazel nodding.

"I am immensely interested in Sacred Gears, researching and developing them. So yes, I have collected a few to come work for the Grigori." Answering that doubt, Akira watches as Azazel turns towards him. "To think that Vali and you found one another, despite the circumstances of your life. It must have been a great meeting."

"We supported one another very well."

Akira replies as they continue on.

But then, Akira suddenly was bumped into someone taller than him. It is a man with brown hair, silver eyes, and dressed in clothing similar to other Fallen Angels in battle gear.

The man's eyes looked down at him, with a calmness that felt rather eerie at the same time as being pleasant.

"Oh, Satanael."

Azazel began, with the man's eyes looking towards Akira's Longinus.

Almost like a gaze that seemed beyond intrigued, he addresses Akira.

"Sorry about that young man, I was fascinated, that's your Longinus, is it not?"

"It is yes..."

Akira could see that he had eyes similar to Azazel, but they also felt sinister at the same time, though it was difficult to discern that's what he felt by how he tried to hide it.

"Sorry for my rudeness, my name is Satanael, it's a pleasure."

"The pleasures, all mine."

Akira replied kindly, but kept his guard up as he looked at Canis with interested eyes.

"I'm sure Azazel shall be helping you with your Longinus, good luck."

"Thanks."

Satanael bowed, and left the area, with Akira watching him with curious eyes.

As he did, Akira caught a glimpse of a blonde haired young woman who seemed a few years older than he was. Her body was quite developed, she wore a magicians outfit, and she looked to have a cute expression on her face. To Akira, he did think she was rather cute, but he felt something else from her. Perhaps it was because of his days of traveling, but he was pretty quick on picking up on things such as the levels of power someone had, and if they were a threat.

He didn't sense anything threatening from her, but he did feel that she was pretty strong.

Beside her, he also saw a tall ice looking doll with a large body, and an appearance that most might find intimidating, but to Akira, he thought it was "Pretty~" which caught the attention of the young woman.

When seeing his eyes on her ice doll, and seeing Akira's response to said doll, it was something rather surprising to say the least.

She hadn't ever heard anyone describe her ice doll as something like that before.

The girls eyes turned towards him, and she giggled, waving, which caused Akira's cheeks to turn slightly red, something that Vali and Diehauser noticed.

The former seemed slightly irritated, while Diehauser couldn't resist, and decided to have a little tease of the young boy.

"Akira, has that girl caught your eyes?"

Akira stiffened, shaking his head side to side.

"W-What? No, I don't even know who she is. That doll of ice, is pretty awesome~"

Azazel took a glance, and laughed.

"Aah, she's someone like you both, though she's got an important mission and we're currently cooperating."

Akira glanced at the girl, and saw her eyes on him for a few moments.

But then, the black dog leapt away and rushed towards the girl.

"Hey Canis, wait..."

Akira chased after him.

The dog got before the girl, who bent down and stroked the dogs head affectionately, who in turn wagged his tail, seemingly liking the girl.

"Ooh, you're such a precious puppy aren't you?"

Akira heard her soft and beautiful voice as he got close.

Her eyes looked up towards him, and she smiled.

"Hello, it seems you've got a cute little friend here~"

"Aah yes, he's my Sacred Gear, I'm sorry if he's bothering you."

The girl waved her hand.

"No, no, it's fine. Ooh, my name is Lavinia Reni, pleasure to meet you~"

Akira smiled, liking her attitude.

"My name is Akira from the Belial clan."

"Akira...so you're Japanese?" Akira nods his head. "It's a cute name. Say, you don't know an old female magician with purple fire, do you?"

"I'm afraid not, sorry."

Lavinia waved her hand.

"It's okay. If you see her, let me know by contacting the Grigori, okay?"

She winked, Akira blushed and nodded.

"Yes, of course."

"Thank you~ Also, good luck with Azazel-san, he can be quite difficult to deal with sometimes~"

"Haha, thank you very much!"

She bowed, then turned, and walked away with a spring in her step.

Akira returned to the others, and continued on, while doing so Akira kept looking around at all of the sights around him.

He was equal parts intrigued, and excited by everything that was going on.

Even Vali couldn't deny his curiosity was endearing, while Diehauser was reminded of Akira's Mother with his curiosity.

As they made it to Azazel's lab, he began studying the Longinus of Akira's, while Azazel hummed.

"Hmm, it seems that you've already begun trying to come up with some different types of abilities to add with the blades. One is your Worthless, correct?"

"Yes, of course."

"Because it is a natural ability, I can see why it would blend with the blades. Haha, Worthless Blades indeed~"

Akira gave Vali a small look, who sighed "You can ignore his ramblings, he says weird stuff all of the time." with Azazel huffing.

Diehauser watched on, seeing Azazel's joy at the Longinus', but Diehauser was happy to see Akira and Vali being together, and enjoying one another's company, it was a sight to behold, in the end, all Diehauser wished for Akira to have a happy life, knowing that's what his cousin and Akira's Mother Cleria would have wanted for her son.

When the time came, Akira, and Elmenhilde stood together with Diehauser, in a meeting location agreed by both parties. Elmenhilde had a sense of equal happiness, and sadness at the same time because of what was happening.

She was happy to go home, but she also didn't want to leave behind those that she had made a connection.

"So, this is it Elmen-san, I guess that we'll have to say goodbye soon."

Akira was sad to depart with Elmenhilde.

But he was happy for her that she got to go home.

Elmenhilde twirled her fingers together, she looked towards Akira with a small smile.

"Thank you, Akira-kun. For everything you've done for me, for rescuing me, and...other things. I'm going to...this is weird, I am a Vampire, and you're not, so saying this really isn't something that other Vampire's have to do...so, I'd like to say..."

Akira could see she was struggling.

He didn't want her to have to worry, so he reached out, and petted her head.

"Don't worry, even if we're apart, we'll keep each other in our mind and memories."

Elmenhilde found that to be rather beautiful, to the point that she placed a hand on her chest, and adopted a small smile on her face.

"...Thank you, Akira-kun. Yes, I'll keep you in my mind and memories. Even though you're a Devil...and a human...and I am a Vampire...I thought that we'd never have any kind of interactions, but we came together, and we became friends, I'm happy we met. I don't know how the other Vampires will react, but I do hope one day that we as people can come together."

Akira was glad hear her say that.

If he could reach a single person, and help them on a good path, then he knew he had done a good thing indeed.

Soon, the Vampires arrived, however they only came in hologram form. Elmenhilde found that to be very odd, while Diehauser began speaking up.

"Thank you for coming, I am sure you are also eager to have this young girl, Elmenhilde-san return to your side..."

As Diehauser spoke, one of the Vampires looked at Elmenhilde, and held up her nose at Elmenhilde.

"Elmenhilde Karnstein, have you forsaken yourself for the Devils side?"

Elmenhilde was surprised by such a tone used with her.

"I..."

She was lost for words.

She knew they'd not be happy that she had help from Vampires, but the fact that they were being like this, was something that even she had trouble thinking about.

"Even though you're from the proud Karnstein family, you have aligned yourself with the Devils, have you not?"

"Becoming apart of the Devils lives, and then believing you'd be able to return as if nothing happened?"

Akira didn't like their rude and condescending tone.

"I...I did, but circumstances, I would have been killed if it wasn't for this boy...he saved my life, and made sure that I could return to you, my..."

As she tried to explain, the head Vampire present held out her hand.

"The very fact that you went over to the Devils side, death would have been preferable than aligning with the Devils."

Akira looked to Elmenhilde who held her eyes in sadness as the Vampires addressed her in callous and cold ways.

"Uncle...they never had any intentions of allowing her to come back."

It was cruel, but Diehauser agreed as they whispered to each other.

"Yes...it seems to be the case."

"Then why put her through all of this? To prove a point? To cut ties with her? They had to get her hopes up, and crush them like this?"

"I wish I knew Akira."

Akira tightened his hand so tight that his knuckles turned white.

Elmenhilde looked between them, and her eyes became pleading.

"Wait, please...you don't understand, I...I did this, because…because I wanted to come home...to you all...I did my best, but even if these Devils protected me...I'm still a Vampire, I'm not tainted...please, I want to come back home..."

Elmenhilde pleaded with them, Akira felt it was sad that she had to plead to just return back home.

The Vampires lifted their heads, and turned them away from Elmenhilde.

"For relying and cooperating with Devils...you're banished Elmenhilde Karnstein, you may send letters to your family, you may continue using your Karnstein name, but do not think of returning back to our homeland, do not refer to yourself as a Vampire of the Carmilla Faction, and make that distinction clear to those that question you, is this understood?"

Elmenhilde looked truly devastated.

Her face and her eyes became wet with tears running down her cheeks.

Akira shook his head again and again towards the Vampires, wishing that he could hit them, but because they were holograms, that wouldn't do much.

However, he still had thoughts to give to them, so he began moving forward.

"I'm sorry, but I don't understand. She didn't do anything wrong."

"She affiliated with you-"

"Because she would have died otherwise. She wanted to return to you in the first place."

It was extremely hard to keep his anger from taking over.

Seeing Elmenhilde upset, and the outrageous way they spoke to her, it felt disgusting in his eyes.

Like they were going to truly do this to someone so young who only wished to be the best Vampire that she could be.

"That is not our fault, she is a Vampire, if she had to receive help from Devils, then she has fallen low."

"So, you'd rather her have died than be saved by someone like me? All she ever did was try and appease you, she did her best with everything you gave her to do. Even though she's young, she was sent out on important missions for you, and this is the thanks she's given? You banish her, and wont even allow her to return back to her home? She wanted to live, I don't get why is wrong."

Diehauser wished he could have said this as well.

But seeing Akira do it, he was satisfied.

Especially because Akira didn't lose control of his emotions. He didn't give into his clear anger that he felt. He simply was expressing what was inside of himself, and how he felt about everything going on right at that moment in time.

The leader of the group turned her head towards Akira.

Her cold red piercing eyes looked as if they could shoot daggers through someone's chest.

"We are Vampires, we either get by, by ourselves, or we do not. We don't seek help from your kind, Devil boy. It is something that cannot be helped, we cannot allow ourselves to be aided by a lesser race than ourselves. Looking at you, I can see that you're a child of a human and a Devil, you also should be made aware that to Vampires, it is insulting gaining help from...a creature such as yourself."

Diehauser became angered at that.

But Elmenhilde spoke up with conviction.

"Do not say that!" She yelled, her tears being replaced with anger. "Akira-kun saved me! Even though I was a Vampire...he risked his life for mine, and others! He is a good person! Even if you hate me...you can't say such things about him, because he's a good person...it doesn't matter who you are, or where you come from...everyone has an equal right to exist!"

Akira was surprised, and happy to hear her say that.

The Vampires were also stunned to silence from her words.

Akira watched them turn away from Elmenhilde.

"We have said what we want to, do not contact us again."

The trio watched as the hologram vanished of the Vampires.

No remorse on their faces, at all.

Akira's eyes went towards Elmenhilde, and saw that she was crying.

"I'm sorry Elmen-san."

Elmenhilde looked up towards Akira.

All she could do was cry.

Even though she yelled at them, and was angry...she had been essentially banished, because she wished to live, and return home. Now being told that was wrong, that she didn't deserve the right to live and return home, it was a cruel experience.

It broke his heart seeing Elmenhilde like this, as she spoke up with a sad voice.

"...I thought this might happen...Vampire's hate other races...and they look down on others...I thought that because I was with the Devils...that they might not want me..." Akira gave a sad look, but even with teary eyes, she turned to Akira with a soft smile. "But even then...I don't regret our meeting at all. You've...opened my eyes to many things. I didn't...ever think that I would interact with other races like this...but, my time with you, and the others...has been so fun, even when we travelled together...just speaking so casually...it was a wonderful thing."

Akira was glad of that, but he did still feel sad for her with her Vampire.

"Maybe one day, they'll have a change of heart?"

"Maybe...but at least...I can speak with my family...I was surprised they even let that..."

Even Akira was curious as to why they would allow her that, but he was glad she had at least that, but now being rejected by Vampires, he wanted to do his best for her.

"Even though they rejected you, we never will Elmen-san. You have a home with us."

"R-Really?"

Akira lightly laughed, petting the top of her head, her cheeks began to redden as he smiled towards her.

"I know that it isn't ideal, I know that you were looking forward to returning home...but, you also have a home here. With me. That will never change."

"Akira-kun...thank you."

Floods of tears erupted from Elmenhilde's eyes.

She couldn't stop them from coming.

They were a mixture of happy and sad by what had just happened.

She felt it deep within her core, the kindness that he had for her and how he would keep his word, that they could stay together.

She didn't have a home to return to with the Vampires anymore.

However, perhaps she could make a new home for herself.

A home that she unknowingly had been apart of since the day she had first met Akira.

A home...that she could be proud to be in.

As that was going on, two figures had met up. One, was a Fallen Angel, and the other was an elderly witch.

"So, you met the boy, did you Satanael?"

The witch spoke up, with Satanael letting out a calm laugh.

"Indeed, and also how goes Demise Girl Augusta?"

"She's been chasing me, I have some means of dealing with her."

"Yes, however I'd like for you to focus your efforts on the boy, Akira Belial."

"The boy huh."

"Yes...his power will help us fulfil our future goals, and we'd gain such a beautiful power. Lets refocus our efforts, and strike when the times right."

Augusta showed a dark smile on her face, with Satanael remaining calm,

Their eyes, set on two people.

One was Akira, and the other, was Lavinia.

End chapter!

So this chapter dealt with Akira's beginning to the school with Serafall making her presence known. Meeting people such as Rias, and Sairaorg. Adjusting to the Underworld is a new experience for Akira, even if he has to take down people such as Zephyrdor and his group when they tried to attack him. Ravel also seems to have become quite interested in Akira for a few reasons.

He met up with Azazel and Vali, even briefly interacting with Lavinia. Then for Elmenhilde, when she thought she'd be able to go home, the Vampires turned their back on her, so Akira's going to do his best for her.

Then at the end, it seems two newcomers have appeared, Satanael, who Akira briefly spoke with, and Augusta, we'll see their plans for now and the future as well.

Now, for the peerage, it seems that Lavinia was quite the popular choice. Kuroka's in, their meeting shall be quite interesting. Rossweisse has become a Pawn. Ravel's also become a Pawn, an area I think fits both her and Rossweisse quite well. Xenovia's a possibility, she'd either be a Rook or a Knight, either one would suit her quite well.

Since Isane didn't seem to be a popular choice here, she will be in a future Oc's peerage.

Some have suggested people like Iryuka and Latia for the peerage, that would be interesting since they're pretty fun characters for the story they appeared in, but since we hardly know anything about their fighting powers, it would have to be something that I'd largely have to make up based on what clans they're from.

For the healer, I'm torn between Asia and Valerie, as both are pretty interesting characters for Akira to interact and fit the general theme of his group, since one would be a situation like his own with Asia due to both being kicked out of everything they ever knew and left to fend for themselves, and Valerie, like him is also a half breed and suffers discrimination because of it, so let me know what you all think.

Finally, for Akira's fiancée which was mentioned in this chapter as something the Old Devils wish for. There's a few candidates based on some suggestions from you and some I thought would make sense, and if you're interested, you can vote!

The choices are, Rias, Seekvaira, Sona, Latia, Iryuka, Roygun, Serafall.

Well, until next time, thanks for reading!
