Yeah, both Akira and Vali are immensely worried for Lavinia. Akira did yeah, he did his best to help Valerie understand the stuff that is going on with her, and what kind of powers that she has. Valerie could have those cosplays. Thanks for the harem suggestions. I am sure Satanael would be happy for such things yeah. Akira will be quite the swordsmen come canon start.

Save Lavinia!
When Akira had heard the news about Lavinia, he immediately went towards the Grigori together with Diehauser to find out everything that has been going on. To the betrayal of Satanael, to Lavinia and other things.
Azazel did his best to explain what was going on, Akira was worried for Lavinia and hoped that she would be safe from this kind of situation.
"...So we don't know where they've gone then?"
Akira asks Azazel who folds his arms with a somber look.
"Yes, he has disappeared. For a good while now, I have suspected something about him, but it seems while I was investigating him, he in turn was preparing his students to fight. He has taken the sword Arondight with him, and more than likely, because he has taken Lavinia, he has plans for those with Longinus', including you, Vali and more than likely Valerie. If he got his hands on any of you, and especially if he got his hands on all of you...then it could lead to even more problems for the world at large."
"So, he's got a little army, a strong sword like Arondight, his students and he is working with a crazed magician that has a Longinus? Anything else?"
Akira responded, with Azazel nodding.
"His class that he taught here have gone with them. They are Sacred Gear wielders. Those that came to the Grigori with troubled histories. They left with him, and Lavinia has also fallen off the radar. I also discovered those that I sent with Lavinia, didn't get to go on the mission."
"He killed them."
Vali revealed, Azazel nodding as he sat down at his desk.
"Yeah, that's how it went. We found their bodies, shortly after Satanael disappeared."
Akira felt disgusted, while Diehauser spoke up.
"What is his goal exactly? Is it simply for Longinus' or something else?"
Azazel looked at Diehauser briefly, before nodding his head.
"He's someone that is like me, in terms of Sacred Gears. He likes researching them, and them as a concept. However, while I like seeing how they'll progress with their hosts, and encouraging their growth with my knowledge as I have done with you both Akira and Vali, he doesn't want to wait, so he is trying to make situations happen. Forced awakenings, and if I am correct in this based on what I know of him and how he might go, then he could potentially be trying to create new Longinus', stronger than the current ones that we have in our world."
"Create even stronger...is that even possible? I know God has been able to do it...but this Satanael couldn't do this, right?"
Akira asked with amazement and worry at the same time.
If this guy could truly create new Longinus', then it didn't bode well for those within the world, what balances would be disrupted if it happened.
Azazel shook his head, and explained his thoughts.
"To be honest, right now I'd probably say no. He is brilliant, but he isn't capable as far as my knowledge is concerned, that he'd be able to do that. However, the fact that he's kidnapped Lavinia, I can only assume that he wishes to either steal her Longinus, or to use it for his own benefit to test it, to see what makes it tick so to speak, and then build off of that for his own research, maybe even put her through some forced evolution to make it go berserk. Gathering data, perfecting his knowledge on Longinus', and then using it for his own devices. Of course, he will also use Lavinia against us somehow, either to trap or lure us somewhere to save her, so we have to begin making preparations."
Akira didn't like the sound of this.
They had to find her as soon as possible or she could end up dead.
"So he's an evil version of you then?"
Akira mused, Azazel would have laughed if the situation wasn't so dire.
"Yes, you could say that, he is an evil version of me."
"And he couldn't be found?"
"He's tricky to lock down it seems. We are doing everything we can to find them."
Vali exhaled slowly, trying and failing to keep the emotions she felt about this as steady as possible.
"Though you know his tricks, don't you Azazel? We need to find Lavinia before he makes her go berserk, or kills her."
Akira saw Vali showing some frustration. Like him, she also cared for Lavinia quite a bit, and wished to see her safely returned to them.
"If it wasn't for those Sacred Gear wielders of his, I would have been able to stop him. But as it is, they have been aiding him, they have strong powers. And now, I don't know their location. But I have every resource I have to find them. He is smart...but, he will falter somewhere, and when he does, we will get him."
"Also don't forget to take into account that magician woman with Incinerate Anthem. I fought her, and she is skilled."
Akira points out, remembering how dangerous she could be with her flames, and also her knowledge.
"Yes, her...it seems that she's a tricky one as well. She is skilled, but I do believe Lavinia is stronger. That must be why she, and Satanael teamed up with one another. Because on her own, Augusta would have lost to Lavinia. But now... A Witch with a Fallen Angel that's Cadre class. It couldn't get much more dangerous for Lavinia right now."
Vali tightened her hand, while Akira looked on, trying to think of ways to help Lavinia out of this mess.
A small time later, Akira sat on his own, thinking about Lavinia, and what was to come as well.
He hoped she was okay, he also worried for Vali, knowing that while she wouldn't say it, she did worry for Lavinia.
While thinking about it, Diehauser came walking along.
"Akira, how are you holding up?"
"I'm okay Uncle, I'm more worried about Lavinia-san. I wish we knew something. Anything about her, and what Satanael has in store for her."
Diehauser nods.
"I know it's a difficult time, I know this will be hard. But once we find something, then we'll go and make sure she is rescued. I assure you."
"...Yes, but I wish that I could have gone with her that time...if I did, then maybe..."
"If you did, then you could have been caught as well. We can't predict what will happen, we just have to do our best to get the best outcome we have now."
Akira knew his Uncle spoke the truth.
There was no point in second guessing.
He couldn't change the past, he just needed to change the outcome of this future so Lavinia would survive and that Augusta and Satanael would be finished with.
In the middle of that however, Akira received a call from the castle back in the Belial territory.
It seemed that he had received a letter, one from Satanael.
So they had it sent over right away, and opened it with Diehauser.
It was a hologram.
[Young Akira, if you're seeing this, then you must be aware of Lavinia by now. If you want to see her alive, then you come with your Longinus, we have left a magic circle within a part of the human world that will transport you there, it can only be used once and will only recognize you, and your Longinus' power, try anything and the circle wont work. If anyone tries to follow you, or you have any magic that can be traced back to our location, then Lavinia will be killed immediately. If you want her alive, then you best make a choice within half an hour of this letter being sent to you. If any longer, then she dies. Think fast, boy.]
At the end of the message, some coordinates had been sent.
Akira looked surprised and angered at the same time with Satanael using Lavinia like this, while Diehauser tightened his hand.
"So...their objective is you...and they mentioned your Longinus specifically...they want your power..."
Akira nods, knowing what he had to do now.
"Yes...that's why I have to go."
Diehauser was against it immediately.
"Akira, it's a trap. Clearly so."
"Yes, of course it is. Going alone, to a remote location of their choosing, it is a trap of their design."
"Then you can't go."
Akira shakes his head.
"If I don't, then they'll kill Lavinia-san. I wont let her die."
"And if you go, they'll kill both of you. I wont let you die either Akira. We will think of something, but we wont be using you as bait."
Akira felt Diehauser's kindness and love for him showing.
"I know Uncle, thank you but don't worry, I don't intend to die today, and I don't intend for Lavinia-san to die either."
Diehauser raised a brow.
When Akira said that, he saw that there was something going through Akira's mind.
"...What have you got planned?"
"Don't worry, I've got a plan. But, I'll need your help Uncle."
Diehauser became intrigued by what Akira was thinking.
But he trusted his nephew, and felt like he wouldn't do something without knowing what would be the best thing to do.
When Akira arrived in a large area, the first thing he saw, was Lavinia tied up. He also saw the Witch Augusta to the left hand side of Lavinia, and her apprentice Walburga, who was giving sadistic sneers towards Akira himself who ignored them.
Then finally, Satanael appeared, stepping down from a few steps to a throne like chair. His silver eyes displayed desire, his eyes being on the puppy that was on top of Akira's head, and then towards the boy himself.
The room itself was huge, it as twice as big as the entire Belial castle that he lived in, that's how Akira felt anyway. The walls were filled with symbols, magical ones that some Akira recognized, but some he didn't recognize, and presumed that Augusta had made them, possibly to attack either Akira or Lavinia with.
He also saw several people scattered around, as if they were waiting for a fight. He could sense some where humans, and some weren't. He could feel that this was a situation where many things could happen.
They were probably there because they were being cautious of Akira, and Lavinia. If Akira made a move, or had a plan, it seemed Satanael wasn't going to be taking any chances this time, and showed his cool side while also being menacing at the same time.
Akira approached, but was stopped when Satanael placed his hand out before him.
"So you finally came, did you?"
"I did, now release Lavinia-san."
Satanael showed a dark composed look on his face.
"In time, I shall do. Until then, why don't we talk for a few moments?"
"What about?"
"The fact that you're going to be the one who gives their life for the new generation of Longinus." Akira felt ill from that as Satanael continued. "Do you know what Utsusemi means?"
Akira found it odd that he was bringing such a term up all of a sudden.
If he was trying to throw him off, or something else entirely, Akira wasn't entirely sure.
"Yes, I do. But what relevance does that have in this situation anyway?"
Satanael's finger went towards Lavinia, and then towards Akira.
"You two, along with Augusta, possess the strongest Independent Avatar types known to exist. Stronger than any other types like yours. And because of that, all three have gathered within this room. Perhaps it has been a long time coming. So, you'll be casting off these shells, and begin a new breed of Longinus."
"Great, if it isn't the Devils, then its you who's trying to get me to be with other people for my powers."
Walburga snorted, only to stop when Augusta looked at her coldly.
Satanael was surprised that Akira...didn't seem afraid.
It was something even he had to admit was shocking.
"Quipping even now, when you're about to be sacrificed?"
Akira didn't show fear, in fact he showed his resilience at the situation at hand, something that he thought was quite admirable in the face of certain destruction.
"I'm not interested in your sacrificial talk. I wont be sacrificed, nor will Lavinia-san. The fact that you can't do what Azazel-san does, and watch evolution happen, and would rather force others to evolve for your own benefits, to put them in danger and make them go insane. You have some stuff to think about in your future. Well, that would be if you did have a future."
Satanael began to laugh.
"Are you okay boy? You might be strong, but I'm in the top class of Fallen Angels, you don't have a hope in hell to beat me."
"Good thing I live in hell, isn't it?"
As he said it, Akira's black dog hopped off of his head.
The dog began walking closer and closer to Satanael, who laughed in a mocking manner.
"You don't have anyone to help you, I have Augusta, and her Longinus, I have people following me and my allies that will rise to become the strongest group. I want your power, and I want to see the potential that you have. But, I also want your Sacred Gear, so is this an offering to me?"
"You took his friend Lavinia-san away, he has something's he wishes to say to you."
Satanael was still amused, keeping his eyes on the shadows, fully aware of Akira's ability to produce swords from such areas.
"Is that so? What does the dog have to say to me huh?"
Satanael thought that he was being cautious.
He thought that he wouldn't have to worry.
But then something happened that changed his mindset.
And that was, the black dog changed shape, and grew higher and higher, taking on the form of a person…
He became Diehauser who stood in front of the shocked Satanael.
"What I want to say is, don't come for my nephew ever again you bastard."
Diehauser smashed his fist deep into Satanael's face, sending him flying away with his body smashing into a wall.
Augusta looked shocked, and went to activate a magic circle, when Akira whistled.
When he did, a shadow below him opened up, and came out his dog Longinus, followed by Azazel and Vali along with some other Fallen Angel like Kokabiel (who seemed reluctant to be there) and Diehauser's peerage members.
"What is this nonsense? We sensed for your Longinus and that Diehauser felt like your Longinus. His aura wasn't that of a Devil at all. We would have detected it if that was the case."
Satanael was confused, and even worried now seeing the others appear.
Akira summoned a black blade, and twirled it in his hand.
"Just something I learned on my days while being chased. Good little trick isn't it?"
Augusta bared her teeth, as Satanael peeled himself off of the wall, blood trickling down his face from his nose.
"You little bastard..."
Akira gave a soft smile.
"You underestimated me, didn't you? Your mistake."
When he said that, Satanael felt a shiver down his body for a few moments, the fact that this boy was able to outwit not only him, but Augusta as well, it was a harsh reality that he wished he could wake up from.
Azazel took a step forward.
"So, this situation seems to be not in your favour. Did you really end up betraying us for this effort? To gain new powers to create your own Longinus? Resorting to killing, and stealing other powers, kidnapping and other disgusting acts."
"Azazel, you are naïve. You have been content with peaceful actions. You are content with others having the powers that we should be capable of replicating. You haven't realized the full potential of Longinus', you leave them in the hands of humans. Your ways shall have the Fallen Angels end, we will be driven out and fall victim to those that should be weaker than we are."
"No, I don't think you're speaking the truth. Your desires for new Longinus', comes at the expense of those that came before. Kidnapping people, and trying to attack children, have you fallen that low Satanael?"
"I have fallen, so I can become even stronger than you, stronger than all of you. With my research, with that boys power, with that girls power, there wont be a power on earth that can stop me."
Azazel summons a blade of light.
"I'd like to test that theory."
Following that, Satanael also summons a light sword.
"Then lets test it!"
Azazel and Satanael rush at one another, clashing violently with their weapons, with sparks of light flashing in the air as they moved and clashed again and again. They weren't even visible to the human eye, and were able to heavily clash against one another.
"I guess this one is mine."
Diehauser stepped up to face Augusta, who created a giant wall of purple flames. Accompanying that, the flames spread all the way around, until they formed a giant wall that cut off half of the area so Diehauser couldn't get passed it.
"These flames shall kill you."
Diehauser cocks an eyebrow up, before he summons his power, and fires it off at the flames. With his Worthless activated, nullifying the flames completely to the point even Augusta was surprised to see such a sight before her.
"Those flames before my eyes, are Worthless."
Augusta trembled slightly, before she activated many magic circles in the air. Composed of all elements, even light and darkness at the same time, knowing that Diehauser also had limits, she was going to do her best to see what limits he had and how she'd be capable of countering them at the same time.
"I'd like to see you try and get by me boy!"
"Boy huh? You might be aged, but it doesn't mean you're wise enough to call me boy."
Augusta sharpened her gaze, and fired off many of her attacks towards Diehauser, who in return rushed forward, and used his demonic power and Worthless together, firing off countless blasts to erase all of her attacks while trying to reach her.
Leaving them to it for the time being, Akira and Vali began running towards Lavinia to free her.
But some people leapt in the way.
"We wont let you pass!"
"You can die here!"
"We'll execute you Devils!"
Vali scowled, and raised her power. Allowing a silver aura to fill into her hands, she shot across them, landing on one, and at the same time she punched them, she also [Divide!] used her Sacred Gears power to steal their energies for herself, taking out one of them in a single bounce.
"Aki, get to Lavinia! I'll deal with these guys!"
Akira nods his head, and continues rushing forward. Together with his trusty black dog, he summons a blade, and begins cutting down those in his path. He guessed they were in the Middle Class level of power for him to handle them this well.
Akira also saw that Diehauser's peerage, and the Fallen Angels accompanying the likes of Azazel were making quick work of those working for Satanael. It was quite the sight to see, everyone pulling together, and making this achievement possible in the first place.
But as he got towards Lavinia, Walburga got in the way.
She showed some magical circles in the air.
The symbols he knew where that of attacking spells, so he held his sword out before him, and got ready to fight.
"Me here, my name is Walburga. We haven't met, but I have become someone that desires to have your Sacred Gear please."
"Sorry, but I can't let that happen."
She scowled, and fired off some lightning for Akira.
However, the boy slashes through it, surprising that of Walburga.
"So you're going to be tricky, are you? It's alright, I shall show you my power!"
Allowing her magic to flow, she turned it towards Akira.
However, before they left the circles, Akira summoned swords from the shadows, and pierced them. With Worthless activated, Akira was able to suppress and invalidate the magic all together, surprising Walburga.
"Sorry, but your power is Worthless before mine."
Walburga shook when he said that, and took to the air on a broom.
"You'll regret the day that you ever crossed paths with me, boy!"
"No, it's the other way around, you'll regret the day that you crossed paths with me. Kidnapping Lavinia-san...you made a bad mistake."
Walburga could see that Akira had power rolling off of him.
The power was so dense that it caused the ground underneath him to break and twist around.
Even the puppy that was with Akira also was radiating a darkness aura that caused the area to warp.
"W-What is this, some kind of power up?"
"Not a power up, just releasing power, that's all."
Walburga looked worried.
She could feel his power, and it was something that she hadn't expected.
For his age, the level of power that he had, the power that he could obtained, frightened her.
"You think you've gotten me?! I'll show you why I'm to be feared you bastard!"
Walburga summoned some elements around her. Summoning fire and lightning, she showed them to Akira at the same time, so he ran his Worthless through his blade, and swung it out.
Switching between powers as they'd come into contact with one another, he was able to dispel the attacks pretty easily, only for Walburga to get above.
She rained down some magic, so Akira dodges, and channels his darkness through his blade, swinging it for Walburga and released a crescent shaped aura of darkness for Walburga to stop and damage her at the same time.
"Nahaha, I shall block it~"
Creating a defensive barrier, she stopped the attack all together...or she thought.
Akira's Worthless darkness, broke through her barrier, and landed across her body. The darkness numbed her body and also caused some damage to appear across her skin, blood shot out of her like rain falling to the ground.
"Aaaah! You little bastard! What the hell was that?!"
Akira didn't reply, and instead vanished from sight.
A few moments later, he appeared behind Walburga, and his blade went for her upper body to cut her down.
She panicked, but managed to activate a short range teleportation circle to avoid it all together, appearing down beside Lavinia, albeit with her body still stuck thanks to the darkness that had hit her.
"I'll kill this bitch if you come closer!"
When she said that, Akira's eyes sharpened to the point that daggers couldn't even be called what this look truly was.
"Don't call her that, Wildburger."
Walburga placed a hand to her mouth and looked shocked, as Lavinia snorted at the mix up of the name.
"Walburga! Not Wildburger!"
"Okay then."
Akira didn't even bat an eye and quickly shifted down towards her, as his black dog was fending off those that would try and attack Akira, and Lavinia at the same time who was bound by such cuffs.
Walburga tried to summon some flames to burn Lavinia, but Akira took his demonic power, and shot it like an arrow for her, hitting her hand and erased the magic completely, even making her hand bleed from the impact.
"Get away!"
She releases a strong flame for Akira, who slices through it, and gets before her.
"Our meeting was brief, but memorable."
Akira swings his sword down and cuts through Walburga.
She tried to activate some barriers, but Akira's powers made sure that they couldn't interfere with his blades trajectory and ended up being able to cleanly cut Walburga easily, and finish the little fight that they had with one another.
Walburga couldn't fight the feeling and did in fact fall unconscious after a few moments.
When Walburga was defeated, Akira went towards Lavinia, and saw the shackles on her.
"Give me a moment, I'll get them off."
Akira swung his sword down with enough force that the blade cleanly cut through the shackles, freeing Lavinia.
Once free, she held a relieved look on her face, her eyes going towards Akira, and gave a gentle smile.
"I didn't have a doubt that you'd come up with something to stop those idiots from reaching their goals. Though I didn't expect a Devil, Fallen Angel, human free for all."
Akira was glad that she was still the same as ever.
Such a kind woman that he cared for.
"I'm glad you're safe. We should get going, you look tired."
He could see the bags under her eyes. The way she breathed sounded as if she was having trouble doing so. Along with that, he also saw that she was panting every so often and struggled to find her breath when speaking.
"Yeah...those cuffs were designed to constantly absorb magic and other things. I feel really tired, but don't worry about me Aki-kun, I will be fine."
"I'll be your guard, Lavinia-san."
Lavinia giggled, and bent down, lightly kissing Akira's cheek, to his astonishment.
His cheeks turned slightly red, as she adopted a cute smile on her face.
"Thank you for coming Aki-kun, you are my hero." He blushed even more as she briefly hugged him into her large chest. "Now, shall we go?"
Akira inclines his neck, and begins helping her.
With the dog acting as her guard as well, and Akira doing so on the other side, he helped her walk towards where a safe area was, and took down some people that got in the way.
While doing so, Vali came close, and saw Lavinia's safety.
"Va-chan, you also came for me?"
Vali turned her face, nodding as she murmured "Of course." and though she didn't show it on her face, she was relieved to see that Lavinia was fine.
Lavinia saw Vali's general demeanour, and understood what was going on with her, causing Lavinia to smile.
"Thank you Va-chan, I am glad to see you are well."
Vali looked back, seeing Lavinia waving at her, so Vali turned away once more, with Akira chuckled at the sight of Vali and Lavinia's interactions.
As that happened, Satanael and Azazel continued their duel. With blades of light clashing violently with one another, Azazel summoned several of them in the air, something that Satanael replicated, and fired off against one another, matching each other blow for blow.
Neither could get through, however in terms of sheer power, Azazel had the ability to beat more of Satanael's power, and managed to have some spears of light slip through Satanael's attack, and come dangerously close to cutting through his body.
Azazel even looked casual, while Satanael looked like he was having a harder time fighting.
"I didn't think that you'd come personally, Azazel."
"You killed people that worked for the Grigori, and you also kidnapped Lavinia, threatening the current Longinus users. You forced my hand to appear here, and I shall finish this situation before anything else could happen, so shall we show one another our abilities?"
Satanael could see Azazel had a glowing aura around him.
It was clear that he was showcasing his power, and wouldn't back down.
But neither would Satanael.
"There's no use Azazel, I have the superior power. You cannot stand before me anymore. You might run the Grigori, but that means nothing here. You shall meet your end this day, and you wont be capable of coming back from it."
Satanael tried his best to make Azazel have a mistake.
But Azazel didn't bat an eyelid as he summoned a narrow spear, firing it off towards Satanael and got close to his chest, but Satanael blocked, only for Azazel to appear before him, smashing his fist into Satanael's stomach.
He tried summoning a spear to pierce him, but Satanael managed to display his ability to stop the attack before it fully reached him, still the attack was more than enough to have Satanael move backwards, coughing up some bile as a result.
"Not according to our wings."
Azazel gave a smirk full of mirth, something Satanael rejected as he pulled out Arondight from a magic circle. Coating the aura of power from the blade, he raised the sword above his head, aiming the blade downwards.
"I haven't mastered this blade to the point that I'd like. But I have shown some promise."
Azazel could see the bitterness on Satanael's face.
The way that he glared towards his former leader, Satanael didn't have an ounce of respect for Azazel at all.
"You had promise back in the Grigori, but you destroyed it with the fact that you chose to do inhumane experiments and have cut ties with us. You have become an enemy of the Grigori for your selfishness and desire to surpass and kill those that don't suit your level of thinking."
"Perhaps you're right, but I like the way I live, and I shall demonstrate it to you, the power that can surpass even God. This blade was something I desired so I could fight down the likes of that Longinus the boy wields. I wonder what would happen if the blades clashed together?"
Azazel looked on, seeing a confident look on Satanael's face.
He wasn't cocky, but it was clear that he was confident in his own abilities for the time being.
Azazel however shut him down almost immediately and gave a stern look.
"I think the result would be the Longinus would take out you because of your troubled ways."
"Is that so? Shall we see then?"
Satanael swings the blade, releasing a mass of power for Azazel.
Summoning barriers, he blocks the attacks the best he could, and ends up having the attacks stopped, only for Satanael to appear to the right, swinging for Azazel who blocked with a sword of light. The clashing of the blades caused Azazel's to begin destabilizing due to the power of Arondight all together being capable of ripping through his power.
Azazel placed distance between them, creating a mass of light before firing it off towards Arondight.
"Simple moves from a narrow minded individual."
Satanael slashes through the attack, and ends up having nothing before him.
Even Azazel vanishes to his surprise.
But then catches his faint shadow from the right, so he turns to see Azazel with a spear of light coming for his upper body, Satanael manages to narrowly avoid being stabbed, but did receive a cut across his hand before slashing the light out of existence.
However, in that moment he did, Azazel quickly got a stab in Satanael's stomach with his other hand. The power of light was able to run through Satanael's form, though he managed to stop it going too far, Satanael's body received damage and he ended up bleeding from his stomach.
Azazel once more placed distance between them, and summoned a spear of light.
"Narrow minded? I think you've got our situations reversed."
Satanael grit his teeth, seeing that he was being pushed back more and more.
As that happened, Diehauser and Augusta were having their own exchange.
Diehauser saw Augusta summon a flaming giant of purple flames with a cross on its back.
He didn't know if it was her Balance Breaker or not, but he knew it was Incinerate Anthem, and many magic circles appeared around her as well, each generating their own kind of power.
"Diehauser Belial, you might be number one in the Rating Games, but this isn't a game."
"No, it's real life, where you tried to kill my nephew for your own sake. Life isn't a game, and I'll destroy any hope you have in trying to make it as such."
Diehauser filled his fists with demonic power, and charged for Augusta.
As he did, he allowed his demonic power to change its Worthless each time it came into contact with one of Augusta's magical attacks.
"Damn it, this man is strong...but I am not out of tricks yet."
Even Augusta was astonished to see how she wasn't able to have her attacks land on the young man even though she was trying her hardest, she even ended up having her flaming giant make a move, by allowing the giant cross on its back to swing for Diehauser.
Avoiding the attack because he didn't have time to make it Worthless, Diehauser channelled his demonic power, and shot off a large blast of it to surround the likes of her flames. The flames of purple began to disappear, as more magical attacks came right for him.
"Disabling one kind of power, can you disable all of these at the same time? Are you that skilled with your abilities?"
Augusta shot all sorts of magical attacks towards him.
But with great precision, Diehauser was able to overwhelm her magical attacks with his own demonic power, and a mass of power came right for the Witch.
Rather than take it, she teleported away, getting behind him, and unleashed a wave of holy fire, her giant having now been erased for the time being.
Diehauser was quick to see it, avoiding the flames, then released a wave of demonic power, cancelling the attacks right out, and got in close, his fist coating with demonic power to he could end this fight once and for all.
However, the moment he was going to strike, Augusta moved her hand to the sky.
"You think you can beat me, Devil?"
As she said it, a pillar of light came down towards Diehauser.
He didn't even make a movement with his hand before the light disappeared completely, Augusta noticing that the aura of power released from his hand, so she shot her flames for him, which he had to dodge out of the way due to being so close, catching his outfit for a brief moment, before the flames fully dispelled out of existence.
"Not bad, Witch of the purple flames. Such a strong light, but it becomes Worthless before my power. You shall not escape its might either."
"Thank you kindly, disgusting Devil-kun."
Augusta once more creates her giant flaming avatar creature with a cross on its back. But this time, she buffed it with many types of magic.
Allowing lightning, water, and ice among others to swirl around the giant creature, she gave a dirty look towards Diehauser who right back exhaled.
"You know, I wont be intimidated by your power being like this."
Diehauser expressed, but Augusta didn't have any of it, and simply channelled her power through her large giant, and released a wave of different types of powers towards Diehauser, with the base being holy flames themselves.
Diehauser exhaled a single time, before releasing a devastating power up towards the enemies attacks. Clashing violently towards the attack before him, their energies collided as Diehauser quickly used his powers to nullify the different powers that made up the attack.
The speed that he was nullifying her power was something that even Augusta was surprised about.
Then he got in close, and landed a blow against her. He put his strength into it as well as his demonic power. She used many complicated barriers to defend herself. But even when she did, the attack still landed against her, and blew her away considerably.
"Gwaaaaaaaah!"
Blood shot out of her mouth, and she smashed into the ground heavily.
Injuries appeared across her old body, even with her youthful energy, she still felt the pain and damage inflicted by Diehauser, and could see that he was ready, and willing, to finish her off if she even left a single moment of hesitation.
As Augusta was pushed into a corner by Diehauser, her eyes went around the battlefield. She saw that Satanael was losing to Azazel, most of the forces they had with them had been defeated thanks to Vali and the others working together.
She even saw that her apprentice had been defeated by Akira.
Lavinia was free, and that was something that immensely angered her.
"You damn troglodytes...you're thinking you can beat me in a fight."
"Face it lady, your time is up. As is your friends. You tried your hand, and it failed. Now, be prepared to be defeated."
Diehauser got into a fighting stance, when Augusta turned her eyes towards Lavinia.
She had one chance now, and this was it.
Lavinia gave a cold look right back, and showed her willingness to fight.
"Lavinia, your little friend did come and save you in the end, didn't he? He saved your life, and you might even get to go home. But your Glenda wont ever be there. She's already gone."
Lavinia showed a scowl on her face.
The idea of what Augusta was trying to do didn't sit well with her at all.
"...You told me that before, your words don't ring true to me. Unless I find evidence otherwise...your words are merely poison."
"Yes, poison can be deadly, can't it?" As Augusta said it, she releases a sigh. "I didn't want to do this. Considering that you have the opposite to my own abilities, in many ways I wished that we could have met and fought again in the future. But I think this would be the best thing for us to do, and that's for you to be finished off."
Folding her arms, Diehauser noticed a magic circle in her hand.
Before he could move, Lavinia felt something…
Heat.
Fire.
Flames.
They appeared across her body as did many circles, beginning to burn her body.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
She let out a scream, as Augusta laughed.
"A magician always has some tricks up their sleeve. When you were with us, I made sure to draw some circles on your body so I can transfer my power to you, to incinerate you. Wasn't that considerate of me?"
Akira's eyes widened, and saw the flames trying to engulf Lavinia's body, so he quickly rushed her, and grabbed her hand, yelling "WORTHLESS!" and used his power to dispel the flames all together, but in the few moments the flames had appeared, they managed to burn Lavinia to a good degree.
Causing major injuries across her body, blood to begin coming out of her, as she collapsed to the floor.
"Lavinia-san! Lavinia-san!"
He called, her eyes opening and going towards Akira, who in turn looked at her with shocked eyes.
Seeing the extent of her injuries, it was too cruel.
He felt rage at what Augusta had done.
More than that, seeing Lavinia in such a state, he began to shed a few tears as a result.
Vali also looked immensely angry at what Augusta had managed to do, she was livid.
"...Hey...Aki-kun...you came to save me...so...why are you crying huh…? Cute...boys shouldn't...cry..."
"Lavinia-san...I'll...I'll heal you...you'll be okay..."
As he spoke, he fetched out a fresh bottle of Phoenix Tears, and began applying it across Lavinia's words.
Vali also approached, and looked at Lavinia, her hate for Augusta had grown all the more when seeing that.
Even the black dog went over and nuzzled Lavinia's burned face that was being healed.
"It hurts...but don't worry...I'll be...okay...I'll be okay...you came...all this way...just for me...haha...you are a gentle child...with a good, and kind heart...thank you Aki-kun, I really...do appreciate it..."
"Lavinia-san..."
As he spoke, she fell unconscious.
Seeing her in such a state, Akira felt equal parts worried, and angry at the situation before him.
Lavinia being in such pain, Augusta using such an underhanded method of causing damage to someone that she had been torturing, it felt like this Witch really was quite the cruel woman indeed.
"She was fraternizing with Devils, I'm not sure her precious Glenda would have loved that. More than likely, she would have discarded Lavinia for such actions. I mean, Devils are those that steal the soul and take away families and friends, aren't they? They are the very definition of scum."
Augusta gave cruel words, only igniting rage within both Akira and Vali at the same time.
"Shut up..."
Akira growled out at Augusta who laughed and mocked at the same time.
"You might believe that you can be friends, but the reality is that people like you, scum like you cannot hope to approach the human race. You aren't even fully human, you aren't fully Devil, you aren't anything are you? Just an existence that shouldn't have happened in the first place. An existence that really means nothing to this world."
"I'm more human than you'll ever be, bitch. Torturing this girl...making her burn like this for your own pleasures...using her own loved one against her...you are very low...you're crazy as well as evil…!"
Akira growled as Diehauser noticed something.
The darkness from Akira's Sacred Gear was beginning to surge and spread out. More and more, the ground was turning black with shadows moving independently from Akira. Even Azazel noticed it, seeing a dark and ominous, yet beautiful and calm aura appearing all around Akira's form.
Augusta hadn't noticed and kept mocking as Lavinia became unconscious.
"Is that so? Do you really think that's true? Because I don't think that it is. I'm the pinnacle of human, you are nothing but a half breed that doesn't belong. You make me feel sick, would you like me to erase you from this world? I shall smother you in my holy flames, and send you to join your parents."
When she said that, it was the last straw.
Akira's form was engulfed in complete darkness.
The entire building was, as well as the ground and the sky was tinged in forever black darkness.
Azazel recognized what was going on, and murmured "Balance Break." and when he did, a surge of darkness sprang out from Akira, creating a huge shockwave, that ended up taking out the rest of the enemies present besides Augusta and Satanael, but both did suffer damage from the attack.
With his form now in complete darkness, Akira resembled a dangerous looking wolf. The black coating gave him such an appearance with nine flowing black tails, claws and teeth that looked like they would be able to tear through even metal. Darkness surrounded his form, spreading out, and creating more and more shadows around Akira and the entire area.
The black dog also stood up with a new form. The dog was now a large dog wolf hybrid looking creature with a black blade within his mouth. Befitting his wolf like appearance with the sharp teeth and claws, he also held nine tails that swayed behind him.
"W-What the hell?! You've gained Balance Breaker!?"
Augusta yelled, but Azazel shook his head.
"No...this isn't an awakening, this is a reawakening Augusta of the purple flames."
When hearing that, Augusta panicked as Diehauser saw the incredible raw power Akira was outputting.
"Impossible! Reawakening?! From when?!"
"Haha, I haven't discovered that part yet. But if you had stuck around Satanael, perhaps you could have become more aware of this boys potential."
Directing the last part at Satanael, the man became fearful, and shook as Akira and the dog howled in harmony. Even Vali was shocked at the sudden power released by Akira, and saw that each step he took, the darkness would break through the ground.
"So...it's funny that Lavinia-san burned, is it?" His voice sounded a mixture of his normal, and one that sounded enraged, something that ignited worry in Augusta, who pulled back. "Send me to my parents? Mocking their deaths!? Sorry, but the one dying today here, is you!"
Fear grew within Augusta.
Seeing the everlasting darkness and the halo of light up above, it was a scary combination.
Augusta growled "Stay back!" and released a large purple flames holy cross for him.
Akira stuck out his hand, and created a thick Japanese like longsword that had the black colouring, though Diehauser noticed some white in there as well, as he swung the blade before him, and cleaved through the flames.
They vanished into thin air.
"He rendered it Worthless, Augusta."
She gasped at Diehauser, and saw Akira approaching.
"G-Get away from me you damn half breed!"
Worry came over her, so she created magic circles in the air. Many, of different elements, and even some forbidden magic's as well. Purple flaming skulls, and jet black lightning that seemed to have been cursed.
She turned them onto Akira, who looked at his dog, with the dog looked right back at Akira.
"Come on boy...lets make this Witch pay for attacking Lavinia-san."
The dog barked, and gave angry eyes to the growing in fear Augusta.
Together with his faithful partner, the pair began to slash the magic's out of existence while dashing forward.
A combination of the swords and Worthless, the powers merged together to create a beautiful blend that nullified all that was within his path.
Even the forbidden spells that she used, Akira and the black dog took care of it together, being able to completely finish it off within a few moments, surprising Augusta even more who didn't think that he'd be able to do that.
"But you shouldn't be able to…"
"My sword, cuts through all, Augusta."
Augusta panics, and summons a giant flaming giant.
Using her skills in Magic, she causes multitude of spells to begin to wrap around the giant. Protection spells, spells that are meant to do damage, sealing spells. She put her all into it, seeing the ever lasting darkness appearing before her form.
"I also wield a Longinus boy, you aren't the only special one."
Taking the cross from its back, and combined with her multitude of magic, she allowed it to come down on Akira.
Though indeed, because of the many spells, he couldn't make them all worthless at the same time, but because of the incredible strength of the blade, Akira's form didn't lose any balance as the giant cross and sword made contact with one another.
A large shockwave ran between them, as Akira swung upwards, cutting through some more of her techniques, and then pushed the giant back, as the black large dog shot across the area, slicing through the giant beasts legs, forcing them down to the ground.
The cross of the giant erupted with bright flames, and sent them all to Akira's form, mixed with different protective spells, so Akira combatted them, swinging his blade out again and again, releasing waves of Worthless darkness, blasting through each defensive technique that Augusta had.
Then the flaming cross giant was left by itself.
"These Holy Flames, are Worthless!"
Akira vanished from sight.
But then he reappeared on the other side of the giant, and managed to cleave through it entirely. Using his Worthless, he caused it to vanish from sight, the flames didn't even leave behind a single bit.
When seeing her giant disappearing, Augusta panicked even more.
She couldn't even look as Akira approached her silently.
"You think this is for me? I'll kill everything in my path boy! You are a hundred years too early to beat me!"
Augusta turned her hand towards Lavinia and the others. Summoning flames of purple, she went to attack them in an act to try and make sure Akira doesn't approach her, but because of the fact Akira anticipated she'd do something like this, the black dog vanished from sight.
He reappeared from a shadow behind Lavinia, and simply cleaved through the flames before they could reach. Having access to Akira's Worthless as well, the black dog was able to finish off the flames, as Akira turned his attention towards Augusta.
Augusta looked towards Satanael for help, but saw that he wasn't able to move at the sight before him. Azazel blocked his path, and with Diehauser there, she had little options as well, so she turned her hands towards Akira.
"Have this! This! And this!"
She fired off many crosses of holy fire, and used her magic to transport it around the area. She thought that she'd be able to attack him from different angles, but he predicted their movements, and was able to cut through them again and again as he rushed towards her.
Whether they came up from above, down below, from the right, from the left, from behind, anywhere they'd come, Akira was able to completely destroy them all, Augusta felt her hope leaving her when seeing that.
"No, back off!"
Augusta tried to seal Akira's movements as she placed a spell onto his form when he came close.
He stopped for a few moments, before he sunk into a shadow.
Augusta tried to fire some magic, but he vanished.
She looked around for him, but couldn't see him.
However, in the moment that she felt a presence behind her, Akira already appeared there, and his blade went out towards her, his black blade cutting deep into her body, she let out a howling sound from the slice.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
Her blood dripped onto the ground as she pulled away from him.
Pants escaped her mouth.
The combination of fighting Diehauser, and now Akira, it was too much for the old woman to be able to take.
As she did, Lavinia's eyes opened, and looked towards Akira.
Seeing what had happened, she could see the beautiful darkness before her eyes, and she was dazzled by it.
"You can't...kill me...I wont die to...something like you! I am superior!"
"You're not Augusta."
She tried to move.
But she found herself, unable to.
"What..."
"My darkness, has made you stop moving. It paralyzes those that get hit by it. You don't have the power to fight off this darkness anymore, you have grown weak in your powers. Now, it's time for me to finish this, for Lavinia-san, you bitch."
Augusta's eyes became dyed with the colour of fear as she watched Akira dash towards her.
As he did, the dog also appeared behind her, and was rushing at her.
"No...no!"
She tried firing her holy flames.
But they were destroyed before reaching Akira.
Thanks to his Longinus and Worthless, the holy flames that would usually kill a Devil, couldn't reach at all, and simply vanished from everything.
Augusta's eyes locked onto Akira's own as he came up with his blade.
"Goodbye, Witch."
Augusta was helpless to stop the attack.
"Noooooo-"
Her voice was cut short as Akira and his dog bisected her.
Cutting her from two different angles, the Witch's life was lost.
Satanael looked shocked as Akira's form stayed motionless after killing Augusta.
The holy flames went towards Walburga, who remained unconscious, something Augusta had planned to gift her one day, she never expected that she would end up deceased this early.
Vali looked happy to see the power of Akira.
Diehauser was as well, seeing the care and love Akira had for his comrades, his friends, and wouldn't allow anyone to get away with hurting them like this.
Azazel looked on, very impressed, before turning to Satanael with a strong expression on his face.
"Heh, now that's how it's done, isn't it Satanael? The power you desired, is the power that has taken down your comrade, and it seems, that he now is turning it on you."
Satanael glared hatefully for Azazel.
But then looked towards Akira, seeing that despite having just fought, it seems that he turned his blade towards Satanael.
"Satanael...you're next."
When Akira said that, Satanael felt his blood run cold.
Because of the situation before him...he knew he would have to make a gamble, or else he would lose his life...
End chapter!
So the fight begun! Between the groups to rescue Lavinia from the others. Though they did their best, Diehauser and Azazel fought off Augusta and Satanael respectably, then Akira briefly fought Walburga, who was taken down pretty quick.
Then at the end, Akira showed his Balance Breaker! Or rather, reawakened his Balance Breaker!
After seeing Augusta toy with Lavinia, threaten her, try to crush her mentally, and attempt to murder Lavinia, he became enraged, and revealed his power to her. Going strong at the witch, Augusta in her current form couldn't fight off the power Akira had, and even with her advanced knowledge of magic, couldn't do a thing, and got cut down.
Now, there is only Satanael, so we shall how he does next time! What last tricks he has up his sleeve!
