Nagate arrives at izanas house then rings her doorbell making izana rush down quickly. She opens the slide door and with a nervous tone says hey. Nagate-How are you? Izana-I'm fine thanks. Nagate forms a smile then walks in saying thanks for doing this. Izana-Come on in…actually perfect timing I heard a strange noise, and I was getting scared being all alone here and all. Nagate giggles then says well you're not alone anymore and hugs her from behind making izana smile then she holds on to his hands and says are you hungry. Nagate-A little bit. Izana replies all make you some rice then nagate lets go of her and says ok. Izana pulls out a bag of rice and quickly cooks it in one of the kitchen machines and as she prepares it nagate says that smells so good making izana laugh then they react to a loud thud coming from one of the pipes.
Izana replies when I was taking my bath earlier, I heard that noise coming from a different pipe then the floor near nagate moves making him jump and izana saying why won't it stop. Nagate-Sounds like somethings in the pipe but I can't tell what it is. Izana-I hope it's not one of those sewage creatures. Nagate-Sewage creatures? Izana-People have been saying there are creatures that live in the pipes and only come out when they need to eat. Nagate replies sounds to me the people are only saying that to scare the locals then the floor moves making him jump again and izana saying maybe then she starts to walk to him.
Izana replies its done…seaweed rice ball then floor underneath comes up making her fall over but nagate quickly moves underneath her and catches her while izana catches the rice ball with the plate. Nagate ask are you alright but then notices he accidently grabbed her breast, and his face turns red then he studder Izana I ah but can't finish his sentence while izanas face blushes bright red after noticing the position there in and is about to say something, but then floors underneath begin moving then tsumugi come out from underneath and accidently scares them both. Mins later they all sit outside to talk and nagate begins with I can't believe you were able to stretch all the way out here.
Tsumugi-I'm so sorry I scared you. Izana-Oh that's ok really. So, were you feeling lonely or something? Tsumugi-Yes, I started thinking about how many more times we have left to see each other and…and it made me sad. Izana-Yeah if it weren't for the war then. Nagate-Don't worry we have plenty of time left. That's why we're going to beat the gauna and end this war together. Tsumugi-Maybe but you'll still be in one once the war with gauna is over nagate. Nagate turns to her with confusion and replies what do you mean? Tsumugi-When you were asleep, I saw your dream you want to leave Sidonia once the gauna are gone. Nagate looks down with guilt then izana says well there's a reason why he has to tsumugi he has to go to find his mom and help his people. Tsumugi-But he has people here that love and care about him here.
Nagate-I know tsumugi, but I can't just abandon them and my mother. Tsumugi-I know you shouldn't abandon them, but I just think you should I mean, you shouldn't… Nagate-Shouldn't what? Tsumugi gets nervous then she says I'm sorry nagate please forget what I said then she goes back the way she came making nagate say tsumugi wait but she doesn't listen and is gone by the time nagate reaches the hole. Nagate makes a huff then izana comes over and says what was that about? Nagate-I don't think she wants me to leave when the war is over. I worry that something might happen to her if I do go. Izana thinks for a moment then says why don't we show her the resident tower from somewhere on the outer hull tomorrow. Nagate-That's a good idea it may cheer her up a bit but how do we get there? Izana-The administration building have maps of the old tunnels we can get a copy there. Nagate-Ok let go around noon tomorrow. Izana-Why not in the morning? Nagate goes to his bag and pulls out the small mech he captured from the lab and says so I can turn this on. Izana gets a bit frightened then says what…what is that? Nagate-It's a small guardian that attacked me when I snuck into makos lab. Izana gets frightened then says you broke into his lab. Nagate holds her hand and says Don't worry I wasn't spotted. I got out quick with the bot and disk artifact when the alarm went off. Izana-what disk artifact? As nagate starts to walk upstairs he tells izana that disk artifact he found looks like his but different and has a message from an alien scientist. Surprised at what he says izana says so Sidonia had this message and the captain new about this. Nagate-I Don't think she did. Izana-How so?
Nagate-When I was going through the lab, there was a recording of the captain saying when she discovered the artifact nothing happened it only showed static. Izana-Then how come you were able to see it? Nagate pulls out his disk artifact and says I think its because one I have must of gave me a psychic link so only, I could see the message. Izana-But why hide it and what's so important about protect trinity? Nagate-I don't know I need to go through the message again to try and piece it together but for now I think I'm going to go take a shower I've had a long tiring day. Izana-ok, while you clean up all get your bed ready. Nagate smile then says thanks izana you're the best then he grabs a pair of pajamas and as he's walking out he turns and ask which way to the bath? Izana replies down the hallway and to the left then nagate says thanks and heads there.
After getting in nagate relaxes as he feels the hot water going over his body then he looks at his robotic arm and says What's your real plan captain what are you trying to hide then he hears a scream making him get out quickly while grabbing a towel then he runs to the room izana is setting up for him and asks izana what's wrong. Izana says the artifacts I put them next to each other and they…they and points to them. Nagate goes over to them and is surprised to see the two disk artifacts have combined into one and have transformed. Nagate says interesting then goes to it and while he looks at it izanas face turns bright red when she notices nagate is in nothing but a towel and turns her head quickly to say Ah nagate your only in your ah then nagate looks down and sees what she meant. Nagate-Sorry I heard you scream and well wait why are you getting all red you've seen me like this before. Izana begins to sweat a bit then her eyes spin and, in a panic, says Well that's because well…you took me by surprise and I ah…well would you look at the time I should ah… probably go get ready for bed then she quickly rushes to her room and closes her door.
Nagate stands there confused then he nodes his head and smiles then he heads back to the bath to finish cleaning while izana stands in her room and says in her head what was that I've never had that happen to me before. Hours later izana falls asleep in her room but is then awaken to a light from nagates rooms and tiptoes over to look through the crack of the door to see what's going on. Nagate has pulled out the small mech he had captured from the lab and starts to change out the broken parts on it and replaces them with new ones he got from his ship.
He then says now that your all-fixed let's look at, you're programing, and he plugs into it with his arms cord then he says who ever made you and uploaded your consciousness just wanted use you as a weapon I won't let that person harm you again. Izana watches quietly as nagate repairs the mind of the robot and smiles at what he's doing then mins later a green light flashes on his arm saying corrupted programs have been deleted and new protection software has been installed. He puts the mech down then stretches and heads for the door. Izana quickly hides behind the door next to her and when nagate gets there he doesn't see her and closes the door then turns off the light to turn in for the night so dos izana. By morning nagate begins to wake and as soon as he opens his eyes the small mech appears above him then it says hello there. Nagate scream ahh then crawls up to a wall in panic and says how are you online better yet how are you speaking? Robot-I don't know when my systems came online that when I came to and saw you laying down. Nagate with a nervous look says I see then izana opens the door quickly and asks what happened nagate then she sees the small mech turns to her and says hello, Izana makes a nervous look then says ah hello… nagate can we talk in private. Nagate replies to her yeah then he looks at the robot and says if you'll excuse us for a moment.
The robot says ok then izana pulls him to another room and gets upset with him. Izana-Nagate what were you thinking of activating that robot. Nagate-I didn't activate it all I did was get rid of the programs that were on it and put protection programs that protected my mind into it. Izana-Are you shore it was a good idea doing that and what made you want to do that? Nagate walks away from her and says because I'm tired of seeing Sidonia turn stuff into weapons from mechs, hybrids, small robots, and even my technology they stole. I just thought maybe I could turn something from Sidonia into something good. Izana goes to him puts her hand on his back and says I understand then the door opens making them both turn to see the small robot come in then it says are you two my creators I have no information on how I was created. Nagate goes to the mech then says we have a lot to talk about then he pick it up and goes to the other room to explain to the robot how she was found.
Robot-So someone else built me and instead of destroying me you rescued me? Nagate-I did. Whoever was your original creator programmed your settings to be a weapon, but I managed to clean up your system and uploaded some of my defense programs into your core settings so your ai won't be corrupted again. The Robot replies I understand but my ai wasn't created by that person it came from that and points to nagates arm. Surprised at this nagate says what how then he starts scrolling through his arms program while izana goes over to the robot and asks so do you have a name? Robot-No I don't have one or remember if I had one. Izana-what if I gave you one? The robot looks up at her and says you would give me a name then izana picks her up and says of course. Izana thinks for a moment then says let's see how about Mei. Robot-Mei…that's a pretty name I like it. Izana smiles then says I'm glad with nagate replying me to and smiles at her then izana asks if he found anything.
Nagate replies no there's nothing there not even a notification of an ai transfer then he turns to izana while scratching his head and says I guess it another mystery to solve. Izana replies I guess so then she looks down to mei and says we have to go get ready mei were helping out a friend. Mei-Can I come along? Nagate and izana look at each other nervously then nagate says you can come but you need to stay out of sight for now we can let people know about you just yet. Mei gets a little sad but then says I understand. After getting ready nagate put mei in her bag then heads for administration and after getting the map he and izana head for an abandoned pipe shaft and climb down it until they reach the bottom of the shaft. Izana-Hold on wait slow down nagate…Are you shore this is the right way? Nagate-Hm…I doubled checked to make shore on the map I got from administration, Izana-I see.
They continue walk down the pipeline then izana says another dark passage then she notices something moving and when she hears it squeak, she jumps back scared and accidentally hits nagate in the head with her robot arm sending him flying into a wall. Izana-Oh no your bleeding sorry nagate. Nagate replies Oh I'm fine let's keep going and when he gets up he grabs a bandage from his bag then after putting it on they continue on. While they walk mei come out from his bag and asks what are you guys doing? Nagate-Were going to a specific spot on an old pipeline so tsumugi can see civilian district. Mei says That's nice then she sits on his shoulder until they come across a ladder and while they climb it izana begins to hear something then says nagate did you hear that. Nagate-Huh what…I don't hear anything come on were almost there. Izana-Oh…Ok. Elsewhere Sidonia's bridge crew open up the front thrusters then yuhata order them to set course for plant nines trajectory in the lem star system. The crew issue a gravity warning throughout Sidonia then yuhata gives the order to activate the thrusters. Sidonia's front engines light up making the ship slow down but as it dos the gravity within Sidonia starts to raddle the infrastructure. Pieces of debris start to float around where nagate and izana are then he asks what this vibration then izana begins to say wait wasn't today then both of them begin to float in the air from the turbulence while mei holds on to his sweater. Nagate tries to pull himself in but the handle on the latter ends up snapping off and he goes up crashing into izana and both of them fly up towards the ceiling and get pinned by gravity secs later the crew stabilize Sidonia and restore the equilibrium with the gravity generators.
As the gravity begins to turn back normal nagate and izana begin fall down the pipeline from where they were pinned and as they do nagate says oh no not good. Izana replies were falling ahh then nagate manages to grab the ladder with his legs and right arm then quickly catches izana by the foot with his robot arm and as they dangle mei loses her grip on nagate and falls off but izana manages to grab her quickly before she was out of reach. Izana-You ok mei? Mei doesn't answer ends up crying in her chest then says I thought I was going to die. Izana holds her tight and says Don't worry I've got you then she looks at nagate to say how are we going to get out of this nagate. He thinks quickly then says you're going to reach for my hand so I can swing you over to the ladder. Izana gets a little scared when he says that then when she looks down, she panics then nagate starts to yell her IZANA COME DOWN LOOK AT ME JUST LOOK AT ME. Izana looks up at him and he replies that's it just keep your eyes on me when you reach for me ok. Izana replies ok then tells mei to hang on.
Mei ties herself with izana sweater string and once done she says I'm good. Izana breaths gently and reaches for nagates hand that holding her foot. She manages to grab his hand then after nagate lets go of her foot she panics a little then looks up towards nagate and he replies that's it eyes on me. She smiles then he swings over to the ladder, and she climbs on quickly then after letting go nagate pulls himself up and once on they climb up and finally reach the top. Once out nagate takes a deep breath and says we made. Izana-yeah. Nagate-Lets agree to never do that again. Izana-Agreed. Once out they begin climb on the edge of a pipe to get where their going and are very high up. Izana slips a little making her shake and gets scared from the height but nagate moves over carefully to put his hand over hers to calm her down. She eventually calms down and they continue on until they arrive at where they were going.
They come across a port hole on the pipe then unscrew the bults on it then with all their might they lift it open and when they open it nagate sticks his head in the pipe and whistles. When he lifts his head out, they hear noises coming from with in it making them smile then they see tsumugi. She gets a little stuck coming out of the hole but with all her might she manages to push herself out of the hole and when she sees the residential tower for the first time she is amazed. Tsumugi-This is the residential tower its amazing. There must be so many people living in those buildings. Nagate-Yeah that's right. Tsumugi-WoW look over there all those people, so many of them all of them living so many different lives. Ahh it would be great if I can shrink down to human size so I can go around every where and be able to meet them all. Izana-There's nobody here that doesn't know who you are tsumugi and they're all thank full. Tsumugi-Oh really thank you so much both of you I never thought id be able to see anything like this it's so beautiful. Nagate replies Your welcome tsumugi then he looks towards the tower while the wind blows on him then he says I wish my mom was here to see this she would love this. Tsumugi and izana look towards him to see him with a sad smile and a tear coming down his eye then tsumugi goes over and hugs him. Tsumugi-She will nagate. I know someday you'll find her and show her how beautiful it is here. Nagate smiles then laughs a bit making izana smile to then he says thanks you tsumugi. She smiles at his response then in secs the communicators go off and as they look at their communicators, they notice what it is. Nagate-Oh crap we have clasp formation training with tsumugi today. Izana-Yuhata is going to kill us.
Nagate-We need to get back fast. Izana-Will never get there in time it took us an hour to get here and the ladder going down is broken. Nagate replies I wasn't talking about going back the way we came as looks at the hole tsumugi is in. Izana looks down then realizes what he meant and says oh no,no,no,no you cannot be series. Nagate replies you got any better ideas then izana looks down and makes a pout look then says if I throw up from this, I'm blaming you and nagate replies I'm ok with that. Sec later nagate and izana are sliding down the tube tsumugi came through and head towards her room nagate is screaming Wahoo while izana holds her both her arms and says in her head don't get sick over and over until they reach her room. They both slide out at the bottom of tsumugi room and as soon as nagate comes out he stand up quickly and says WOW THAT WAS FUN then izana comes out and when nagate looks at her he makes a frighten look as he notices her face is all green. Nagate asks are you ok izana and she begins to reply nagate hm…I blame hm…you for then she goes to a corner and throws up making nagate form a guilty look. Nagate asks if she's ok then turns izana turns her head and replies all be fine just tell yuhata all be there a little later nagate replies ok then heads for the hanger.
Mins later after changing into his suit he then gets to his guard quickly while yuhata asks him what took you so long. Nagate quickly makes an excuse saying I was in an area of Sidonia that I never been to and got lost don't worry it won't happen again then he quickly turns off the channel making yuhata lift her eyebrow. Nagate breaths easily while saying that was close one then his guard is brought to the launch tube. Once out yuhata says we will be conducting drills between the mark 17 upgraded tsugumori and the mark 18. Samari-copy that. All unit's clasp formation. Pilots-affirmative.
The mechs join hands and when they speed away Tanba and Sasaki are impressed with the upgrades. Tanba-Good acceleration. The upgraded tsugumori clasp formation is quite fast. Sasaki- And the new propulsion engine seems to have stabilized its looking good. As the squad fly off tsumugi comes flying out of nowhere making the pilots jump then she says this is tsumugi sorry for the delay but I'm here to participate in the drills as well. Mozuku-And I would like to introduce myself to you…mozuku Kunato Tsumugi's new pilot. She then speeds away making the other pilots surprised then Tsuruuchi asks how exactly is she going fast making tsumugi says what …um I'm not exactly shore.
Sasaki-If only we could use that technology with the guards. Kunato, you know how she operates don't you? Ochiai- Unfortunately there is much that is still unclear to me honestly. Yuhata-Guard squad release begin joint clasp formation drills with tsumugi. Samari-Roger release clasp formation. The guards separate then nagate flies up to tsumugi and she says nagate show me what to do. Nagate-Hm…you ready tsumugi. Tsumugi replies yes then they cross their hands and as their in formation they zoom away at incredible speed making the other pilots surprised. Samari-Wow that's amazing. Tsuruuchi-well actually nagate and that hybrid are in sync kind of like a perfect match. What do you think samari? Samari-Yeah, I guess. Crew-Nagate and tsumugi joint clasp formation average speed is eight time faster than the mark eighteens average they can still go faster. Their turning performance is ten time better as well. Yuhata-This is incredible. Nagate-Tsumugi you doing ok? Tsumugi-Yes I'm fine let's go faster. Nagate-ok but let's be careful. Tsumugi replies ok then they increase their speed making them go even faster and in a blink of an eye they pass by the squad. Tsuruuchi-WOW THAT WAS CLOSE. Nagate-Sorry Tsuruuchi just seeing how much faster we can go.
Tsuruuchi-No worries nagate. Eventually they finish their drills and when they dock in the hanger nagate starts scrolling through something on his arm in the pilot ready room then mozuku approaches him from behind. Mozuku-Nagate Tankikaze. Nagate-Ah yes? Mozuku-It appears that tsumugi has really taken a liking to you. I sincerely hope you and I can continue to work together. Nagate hesitates but then he takes her hand and says me to. Please take good care of tsumugi. Mozuku replies Yes, I certainly will. Now please excuse me and she heads for the labs while nagate says goodbye to her. He then looks down at his view screen and says there's still time then he quickly changes and heads off to the administration office. He opens the door to see the administrator reading a book and says hello. Administrator-Oh nagate good to see you. Nagate-Ah there's something more I want to discuss. Administrator-What is it? The map I gave you of all the pipes was it use full?
Nagate-It was thank you very much I appreciate it. But actually, I came here to discuss something else today. Administrator-Shore how can I help? Nagate-I'm looking for a property that has some of the old pipes running through it. Administrator-Oh that sounds interesting I didn't know you like pipes that much. Nagate pulls out a piece pf paper then points to it and says I did some research. I was hoping you wouldn't mind taking a look for me.
Let's see…I'd like a place around this outer wall or on this block preferably somewhere not very populated. Administrator-The…The outer wall? Nagate replies yeah oh hang on second then he pulls out another piece of paper and gives it to her making her get surprised. The Administrator replies this is…this is ah…unrestricted resident authorization then she stands up in excitement making nagate step back and she says this is the first time I've showed a property along the outer wall its exciting. Let me find another map of the piping then she goes to a ladder. She says just one second ok then climbs up to get the book and while she's up there nagate accidently sees under wear making him blush a bit while she says I'm so jealous that you get to live by the outer wall.
Nagate replies ah yeah then quickly turns his when she says I found it then climbs back down. Administrator-Now if I'm not mistaken pilots have to live near the main transportation line. Nagate-That's correct…Wait why is that book dusty? The Administrator replies this book has been up there for a while since nobody has ever looked at properties along the outer wall but since you want to look for one there we can finally open it. Then as she gets to the desk nagate forms a panic look and says hang on wait but the administrator drops the book making dust go flying everywhere. She replies wow that's a lot of dust then she looks at nagate to see him with a weird look and ask are you ok. Nagate doesn't reply as his nose scrunches up then he begins to sneeze a lot until one knocks him over. The administer looks down and asks are you ok then nagate grabs hold of the desk to pulls him up and says I'm ok its just dust makes me ah, ah achoo sneeze a lot. The administrator apologizes to him for not knowing but nagate says its ok.
Let see what's on the Outerwall. She opens up the book and flips to one of the pages then says how about this one. Its an older property but look at all the old pipes coiling around it. Nagate-It looks nice although it might be a little to tight to squeeze through. Administrator-what was that? Nagate-Ah sorry I was just thinking if all be able to squeeze through, I like to go exploring. Administrator-I see, Nagate-Is there anything closer on the east side? Administrator-Let me look ahh how about this one. Nagate looks at it then his eye widens in surprise, and he says yeah, I think that one will work. Administrator-Great would you like to take a tour of it? Nagate replies I'd love to then the administrator grabs the keys and leads him to the house. Elsewhere yuhata goes to model store to add more mechs to her collection. Yuhata-Hello there. Old man-Oh yuhata my dear it's been a while. Yuhata-I haven't been able to get any free time to come out here I've been very busy. So is there anything new on the shelfs that's good…hm what is that thing your building?...Hey is that what I think it is.
Old man-That's right it's a gravitational beam emitter. Yuhata-Supposedly the most powerful weapon ever wow you make it yourself?...I saw it in a science fiction weapons encyclopedia when I was younger. At the same time, they both say there is nothing out there that this weapon cannot penetrate then old man says very good in fact I still have that book. Yuhata-This really brings back such good memories hm. As she looks at it, she then spots a model ship she recognizes and asks is that nagates ship are you building it? The old man looks behind him and then says oh yes id figured id try to build it and see if that young pilot would like it oh what was his name again? Yuhata-nagate.
The old man replies oh that's right nagate I almost forgot then he picks up the model and as he brings it over, he says I made this because I thought he appreciate someone building a replica of it so he can put it in his ship. Yuhata-I think that be nice. Old man-Its still not done but when I finish it would you like to give it him? Yuhata makes a huge smile and replies I love to then she leans over the counter to hug the old man making him smile to. Eventually yuhata buys a few models then as she is walking home, she spots nagate near the administration office. Administrator- I'm glad you like the place. Nagate-Me to the place looks like my old home.
Thank you for taking me to see it I really appreciate it. Administrator-Shore I'm glad I got to see some of that beautiful old piping to. Yuhata-That's the residential administration. She the pulls out phone and sees that nagate had departed from the pilot dormitory then says huh grr how was I so carless then yuhata hears something she thought she would never hear. Administrator-By the way nagate that's beautiful pendant you have there did someone special give you that. Nagate replies You could say that then while holding it she asks what dos it say on it. Nagate-It says I will always love you. Administrator-That's really sweet who ever you're with must really care about you. Nagate-She dos, well I should probably head back its getting late thank you again I cant wait to tell my friend the good news. Administrator- Your welcome nagate. He then heads back to izanas house and passes by yuhata with out noticing her and as he walks up the stairs yuhata cloches her models tight then a tear roles down her eye and she says I missed my chance then she runs homes. Back with nagate he arrives at izanas house and draws for a few hours then he hears I'm home.
He looks to see its izana walking in and he replies welcome back. Izana-You got done early today I'm so glad I gave you a key. Nagate-Thank you for that. Izana-Your welcome. You know I was thinking about something earlier. If you wanted to you could just live huh…what is that a map? Nagate-Yeah…I went to see if I could find a new place to live. Izana-Huh what oh yeah, I see. Nagate-Here's one I looked at today look over here. She looks at it closely and surprisingly says ah that's tsumugi's room. Wow this is a place on the outer wall. Nagate smiles then says So would you want to move there together. Izana-What? Nagate-You wouldn't be living here by yourself anymore and you would be with me and tsumugi. Izana thinks for a moment then says even if I wanted to, I couldn't go sorry. Nagate replies what why then izana points to the map saying look its on the outer wall. You might be able to get permission to live there then she separates her fingers and impales the paper then drags it down saying but it's not a place a regular pilot like me could live they would never allow that to happen then she crosses her arms making a upset look. Nagate replies I don't care that your different izana and don't worry about them if they say something about it all deal with it, but I want you there with me and we get to have some time to our self's. Izana thinks for a second then says ok all move in with you since you're so into me. Nagate raises his eyebrow then puts his arm on the table and replies I'm pretty shore that's the other way around. Izana looks at him with a cute look then replies is that right and scoots next him making him blush a lot then he says all right you got me making izana smile then she leans in and kisses him on the lips then afterword's they cuddle together. By morning they pack their bags and head out on a long journey to their new place and while walking izana asks isn't it kind of far from the station.
Nagate-Don't worry behind the building there's a direct elevator line straight to the military district. Izana replies that's good at least then nagate looks upward and says there it is. Izana looks in the direction and is surprised at how big the house is. They rush up quickly with izana saying wow what a great place then nagate replies I know right then. Izana says I'm going to call tsumugi let her know where here. Nagate replies ok then he gets to a railing to look at the view and says feels like home again. Izana then comes up saying nagate hold your breath. Nagate-Huh what for? Izana replies She said there was a lot of dust in the pipes so she going to blow it out then izana holds her nose while nagate panics and says oh not again then he holds his nose quickly and within seconds dust comes flying out everywhere from the house. tsumugi comes out the pipes saying hi there but then notices them coughing and replies oh sorry. Izana replies it fine we needed to do some cleaning anyway then while still holding nose nagate ask any problems then the dust.
Tsumugi-No, no problems there was plenty of room in the pipes and I was able to make my way here pretty comfortably. Izana smiles and says that's great then tsumugi ask ah why are you still holding your nose nagate? Before nagate could answer he lets go of his nose then it begins to scrunch up and he sneezes like crazy until on the final one he sneezes so loud it echoes through Sidonia making citizens wonder what that was.
