The pain was searing through Peter at this point, rubble from the ceiling he had brought down on himself scattered over his form, attempting to pin him. He didn't even have to free himself, hands pulling him up before a fist found his face and sent him back down.
"You're an amazing creature Spider-Man." The Goblin again picked him back up, Peter tried to punch back, his bleeding side crying out in protest. The Goblin dodged still having a hold his arm he punched him in the throat, making him gasp wanting to fall back to the ground but prevented by the man's hold. "I once offered Peter a choice… to join me, to accomplish greatness, together!"
Peter still chocked on his desperate gasps for air, his hands sluggishly fighting to free him from the Goblins hold. "But he was weak… just like you." The Goblin's blade went to strike him, plunge deep into his stomach.
Peter felt something collide with his back. He was suddenly yanked back, free from the death grip the Goblin had on him.
Propped up with caring hands, he was being held by one of his doubles. He didn't recognise the suit; it wasn't the same suit he had seen one of his doubles in before.
"Thanks." Peter wheezed.
"Don't thank me yet." The masked face helped him stand on his own, the voice recognisable as the older of the versions of himself.
"Today's my lucky day." The Goblin smiled in the face of the upcoming fight.
"This is between you and me Norman." The man stepped in front of Peter, putting himself between him and the Goblin.
"How right you are Peter." His eyes were wild like an animal, the white toothed grin never ceasing.
From his belt the Goblin pulled an orange ball, the button glowed green before being thrown in their direction. Immediately the ball split mid-air into blades.
Peter felt himself be shoved aside by his double before attempting to flip and dodge as many of the blades as he could. A couple sliced his arms, one catching in his thigh making his double land awkwardly.
"Forever the hero, even for yourself!" The Goblin burst out laughing.
The glider returned to him, hopping up, he loomed menacingly. Another orange ball finding its place in his green gloved hand.
Thrown, the green lights flashed frantically.
The older double, fired one web, catching the ball before redirecting it into a wall beside them.
The explosion rocked the entire building, the force of the blast sending them through another wall themselves, crashing into desks and chairs painfully.
Peter clutched his still bleeding side. He felt weak, vision starting to become hazy with his continuous loss of blood.
The Goblin's glider hissed into the room with its master on top. He snatched up the older double from the ground by his throat.
"Let's take this outside, shall we?"
The double fought to be free but was taken from the room, the smashing of glass behind him as the Goblin soared over and out the window with his older double in tow.
Even in his sate Peter felt the warning. Looking he spotted the beeping orange bomb. With little time and little choice, Peter scrambled to his feet diving for the now open window. He didn't make it in time before another explosion shook the building the force of the blast shattering all the windows, sending him soaring across the concreate, rolling multiple times before finding peace in the stillness.
"Peter!" It was MJ's voice. Soon multiple hands where helping him sit up. He hissed as the wound in his side continued to protest
"No time for laying around kid." His younger masked double was helping him to his feet. "Wow, that felt wired." The double was referring to his use of the word kid.
"Peter… Maybe we should press the-"
"No…" Peter cut Ned off. He stood now clutching his side, both MJ and his double not yet to remove their assistance.
"We need to help… other me." Peter looked up to the roof, an explosion again rocking the night, laughter spewing into the sky.
"You need to help yourself."
Peter reacted first, of course shoving MJ and Ned aside, spinning round he shot both webs, both piercing through a bolt of electricity coming right at him and his double. The webbing did nothing but pass through, the current shooting down the lines reaching his web shooters they exploded, webbing leaking from its container.
Both Peter and his young double where struck, forms being knocked back and crumbling to the ground as their bodies went rigged, electricity uncomfortably stiffening their muscles.
"Back off or I'll press it!" MJ stepped forward from her hiding place behind a dumpster, Ned failing to pull her back. She held the box, the button on top and with a single press sending everyone who didn't belong back to their own word.
Electro stopped charging a surge of power, eyes dimming, feet meeting the ground.
"Bad move girl."
Before any move could be made the world shifted in a flash of orange, the night sky no longer above them, a floor beneath them, roof over their head.
They were back in the lab, Ned standing hands still out, the ring he had acquired from the Dr on his fingers.
"I can't believe that worked." Ned smiled to himself.
"Here, let me help." Peter's double was next to him, having noted how he held his wounded side. With a burst of webbing the wound was bound tightly, MJ helping him sit up.
"Thanks." He hissed through the pain. He eyed his own wrists, his web shooters completely useless. He sighed with the bad luck he had been delt. "There fried."
"Here." His double unattached one of his own, offering the small device to Peter.
"We get near that guy again same thing going to happen." Peter tried to explain.
"I've fought him before remember." It was strange talking to the masked double; it was like talking to himself. "Made some modifications to withstand electrical currents."
Peter accepted the device from himself, fastening it to his wrist in replacement of one of his own.
Back in the lab Peter looked around as he was helped to his feet, the webbing helping stem the blood flowing from his deep wound.
Returned to where the assault had begun, there was wreckage everywhere, deep clawed gashes visible all over the place.
"Where's the lizard?" Peter looked to himself.
"Conners? Other us dealt with-"
As if summoned a scaly hand burst through the floor, ripping Peter's double through down onto the lower level.
"Stay here." Peter quickly told his friends before diving after his ally.
Peter landed on the back of the giant Lizard, having his double pinned to the floor, claws inches away from his chest. His sudden arrival had the lizard now reaching for him.
Peter webbed the lizard's hand to his face, giving him enough time to swoop in and pull his newfound friend from under the creature.
It was quickly apparent that Peter had not been as quick as he had thought, deep gashes running down his double's chest, bleeding through tears in the suit.
"Ow…" His double winced, finding his feet under him thanks to Peter.
"What's the plan?" Peter asked, the Lizard ripping his hand from his face with brute force, tail swishing behind him angrily.
"Plan? No plan…" The double shrugged at him through the pain.
"You take the left!" Peter shouted as the Lizard made another wild slash towards them.
Peter ran up the side of some lockers, being webbing the Lizard's side, he quickly spun round the creature, binding his arms to his form leaving an opening for hi double to land a direct him.
The strike sent the lizard back, falling he cried out furiously, already ripping his bindings apart.
"Nice!" His double excitedly cheered, a hand on his chest.
Peter watched as an electrical charge struck his double in the back, sending him skidding across the floor. The warning had come to late, Electro at times just to fast for them. He had fully reformed and already charging another attack at Peter. He flipped landing back on his feet somehow through the pain in his side.
The Lizard was back on his feet at this point, locked in battle with his double who hadn't even manged to gather himself from the last below he took. He was being held by his neck, struggling to be free, unable to find purchase on any surface.
Peter watched as he tried to fire his single web shooter, the Lizard catching his hand preventing him from doing so.
He tried to come to his aid, Peter turning away from Electro, web shooter about to fire when he was slammed into the wall, Electro taking hold of his with his powers, pulsing yellow lightening having a hold of him.
Peter coughed on the dust and rubble after being sent flying through another wall, into another classroom. He tried to get back to his feet, but the window behind him crashed inward, glass skittering everywhere.
Thrown at his feet was his older double.
The man was unmoving, suit as cut up as his own.
Peter frantically looked around, blood and sweat dripping from his face as he was surrounded. The Goblin chuckled as his glider slowly brought him through the window. Electro sparked into existence close by, the Lizard entering through the new hole in the wall. He still held his double in his claws, but he was no longer fighting having gone limp in his clutches.
Peter watched as he too was thrown down beside him, his two doubles not making a move to stand.
"End of the line… Spider-Man!" The Goblin was overcome with joy and excitement.
